As living condition has improved, agreeable living environmental plans that reflect residential traits are needed from. the first stage of house remodeling or interior construction. At the request of above, we need systematically study about the householder's preference according to the life style. The purpose of this study is to suggest the case of preferred interior by understanding preferred Interior image and interior design elements. Document and questionnaire research are used as the method of study. The subjects of research wear 702 persons from 20th to 40th. Contents are constituted with general traits, life style and preferred interior image and the analysis of the materials is quantifical analysis using statistics. In the base of the theory of interior image and interior design elements appeared In the documents, measuring apparatus is made up and suggested preferred examples of interior design depend on life style by combining preferences.

With rapid economic development in Korea, interests in interior design have increased gradually. However, interior design markets were poorly evaluated from 2015 Korean Consumer Evaluation. It is necessary to identify what kinds of problems, defects, and consumer claims have arisen during interior design planning and construction procedures. Therefore the purpose of this study is to investigate claims and disputes in interior design project procedures and to find out when defects or claims take place in those procedures in order to reduce claims or defects. Email questionnaires were distributed to KOSID members (professional interior designers) using Google Survey. In addition, a focus group interview was conducted. A total of 54 responses were collected and analyzed using SPSS 19. As a result, in an agreement stage, alteration in materials is the major source of claim. More than a half of respondents addressed time shortage for programming and planning. During the construction stage, approximately 31% respondents experienced client dissatisfaction with materials and finishes. The reason for project completion delay was due to claims during construction. The claims most frequently appealed by clients were related to painting. The satisfaction with project quality is positively related to the quality and contents of design documents including design drawings and specifications. Regulations and communication with clients are important issues to reduce the gaps between interior designers and clients/ consumers.

The purpose of this study is to analyse comparatively the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space of the High-Tech architecture in the inside and outside of the country. To achieve the purpose of this study, the methods and contents are as follows: 1. Extracting the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space from the character of high-tech architecture. 2. Explaining the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space. 3. Analysing and estimating the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space in the inside and outside of the country. In conclusion, showing the diverse expressive aspects of high-tech design in the interior space in the inside and outside of the country.

Sustainable interior design elements are related with human health. We know that a demand for environmental-friendly housing and all about the others demanding are for human health. We have to make up basement of natural environment for sustainable space composition. If natural environment is polluted that surrounded by human, we have to effort to revive without any pollution. We have to get accomplished stability, comfortable, security, convenience and organize interior design elements for sustainable space to enhance for the quality of life. Furthermore, it needs to get a respect lifestyle on personal. To study composing of the sustainable interior design, we arranged interior design elements to compose sustainable space of housing. We investigated how to compose energy-efficiency, sustainable, interior tree-planting, alterable of the space.

The materials on the development of modern architecture in Korea are being collected and organized in a systemic fashion. However, this is not the case with the materials relative to interior design. They are gradually disappearing or being lost. In particular, no serious attempt has yet been made to determine the characteristics and historic value of the interior design of the modern bank buildings. The purpose of this study is to trace the disappearing legacy of the interior design of modern bank buildings by learning the inner space arrangements of these buildings and the characteristics of modern interior design in order to determine the historic significance of modern commercial interior design. Banks of relatively large scale were selected for the purpose of this study. They consisted of: Chosun Bank(1911) and its Andong, Wonsan and Cheongjin branches; Chosun Shiksan Banks and its Busan, Daegu and Pyongyang branches; the Busan branch of the 18 Bank; Dongil Bank, Chosun Savings Bank(1935) and their branches. The study focused on the space arrangements and design characteristics of these banks. Although they aimed at modernization in designingtheir interior spaces, the modern bank buildings were not representative of any particular style of interior design. While western style designs were prevalent, eclectic designs incorporating many different styles existed. The characteristics of the interior design of banks of the time included installation of such decorations and use of high quality construction materials for interior and exterior expressing the wealth as to create an aura of credibility for the banks, while the floor arrangements were relatively stereotyped and simplified.

As sensibility ergonomics are broadly spread, recently in interior design area, interests on roles of sensibility, sensibility effects for users, and etc has been increased. As a study on sensibility design for interior design area, the study applied sensibility ergonomics technique to bathroom interior design. Sensibility ergonomics technique is integrated into each phase of bathroom design process in order to produce 4 design alternatives. Sensibility evaluation on design alternatives was performed for subject of designers, and analyzed the results to show the relationship between sensibility of designers and design factors and to identify characteristics of designer's sensibility structure. The results of the study are as follows. First, it's found that in the bathroom interior design of sustainable concept, uses of bright colors with white tone and floor tile creates positive sensibility responses such as delight, healthiness, spaciousness, and cheerfulness. Second, designers' sensibility structure about sustainable bathroom is composed of three axles, healthiness, eco-friendliness, and refinement. Third, designers think colors of interior and finished materials is most important, and window, artificial lighting, layout, and space size related to those is important too. The process and approach in the study might contribute to building a fundamental of sensibility design research in interior design area.

The purpose of this study was to prepare the visual communication tool, which would be used for the interior design consulation to reduce the communication gap between an interior designer and a client. To achieve the study purpose, review of literature, questionnaire survey, qualitative analysis and design research methods were used. The major results of this study were as follows: 1) "Image Cube" was designed as a comprehensive rule to classify interior image types. By this, eight interior image types were classified: SFU(Simple-Formal-Urbane), SFN(Simple-Formal-Natural), SCU(Simple-Casual-Urbane), SCN(Simple-Casual-Natural), DFU(Decorative-Formal-Urbane), DFN(Decorative-Formal-Natural), DCU(Decorative-Casual-Urbane), DCN(Decorative-Casual-Natural). 2) The Interior image collages were composed to present the overall feeling of each interior image type. 3) The Interior image models which would be used as the standard to be modified to various sub-types through the interior design consultation were produced corresponding to interior image types.age types.

The vocabulary of modern grand hotels' interior designs reflects western design patterns, showing its nostalgia for modern architecture. And it also contains the trace of past designs implanted by others then, expressing the hardships of Korean history. Like this, the past architectural style distorted under the Japanese imperialistic rule has continued to exist until now without any significant changes, because there has been little effort to figure out the history of modern interior designs. And also there has been the lack of data and aesthetic descriptions about the modern interior designs that contain the historical nature of society. Therefore, this study will review the interior design of modern buildings, which trace back to the fawning of the Korean Interior Design. And it aims to understand the hotel interior's expressive characteristics and historical meanings by paying a particular attention to its lost parts. And it also alms to have a significant meaning in taking the first step toward a clue of the history of Korean modern interiors by systematically putting in order the ever-disappearing materials of modern hotel interiors.
