  • Sun power generation systems which use large capacity centralized inverters have loss of power generation due to cloud and building shadows, pollution, cell deterioration, etc. To minimize loss of power generation, decentralized solar power systems using multiple micro-inverters are being proposed as an alternative. A distributed solar power system consisting of a system-connected system uses power line communication to collect data from the micro-inverters. Power line communication has the advantage of using power lines without separate lines for data transmission, but in distributed solar power generation systems that use a large number of micro-inverters, the bit error rate is less reliable due to the phenomenon caused by limited transmission power, high load interference and noise, variable signal attenuation, and impedance characteristics. So we proposed wireless intelligent controller for micro-inverter that is used to build distributed solar power systems. and we design and implement that. Further, the proposed wireless intelligent controller for micro-inverter was used to establish a small-volume solar power plant to check its function and operation.

A New Directional Coupler Design with High Directivity for PCS and IMT-2000

  • This paper proposes a new design of directional couplers with high directivity for personal communication services (PCS) and International Mobile Telecommunications-2000 (IMT-2000). The directional coupler is used to check and verify the power, frequency, and antenna reflection of a signal at transmission stations for mobile communications. The performance requirements of directional couplers are a strong coupling to reduce the effect on the transmitted power and high directivity to suppress the interference of the reflected signals and reduce the errors in communication. So far, various architectures have been proposed to gain high directivity, and there have been many studies used to obtain a strong coupling. However, conventional architectures for high directivity and strong coupling have a directivity of only about 20 dB, and there have been difficulties to achieve the higher directivity of 30 dB suitable for PCS and IMT-2000. This paper proposes a new architecture of directional couplers based on a grounding composed of strip lines, and compares the test results of this directional coupler with conventional ones. The results show that the proposed directional coupler has a directivity of more than 30 dB and is adequate for PCS and IMT-2000.

  • 최근, 스마트 기기의 발전과 더불어 스마트 단말을 이용한 지능형 실내 위치 인식 서비스에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 이때 실내 위치 측위 기술로서 BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy) 기술이 관심을 받고 있다. 그러나 방대한 위치 정보를 수신하는 스마트 단말에서 수집된 위치 정보의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있는 방법은 없다. 이는 신호 간섭 등의 이유로 실내 위치 정보의 신뢰성가 떨어지기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 iBeacon의 위치 정보로 부터 신뢰성 있는 위치 정보를 얻기 위해 수집된 빅 데이터의 관리 기법을 제안한다.

Binary Power Control for Sum Rate Maximization of Full Duplex Transmission in Multicell Networks

  • The recent advances in wireless networks area have led to new techniques, such as small cells or full-duplex (FD) transmission, have also been developed to further increase the network capacity. Particularly, full-duplex communication promises expected throughput gain by doubling the spectrum compared to half-duplex (HD) communication. Because this technique permits one set of frequencies to simultaneously transmit and receive signals. In this paper, we focus on the binary power control for the users and the base stations in full-duplex multiple cellulars wireless networks to obtain optimal sum-rate under the effect interference and noise. We investigate with a scenario in there one carrier is assigned to only one user in each cell and construct a model for this problem. In this work, we apply the binary power control by the its simplification in the implemented algorithm for both uplink and downlink simultaneously to maximize sum data rate of the system. At first, we realize the 2-cells case separately to check the optimal power allocation whether being binary. Then, we carry on with N-cells case in general through properties of binary power control.

도시철도 차량의 동적거동을 고려한 차량한계 해석 (Analysis of Vehicle Limit Considering the Dynamic Behavior for an Urban Train)

  • A railway vehicle should be satisfied with the safety criteria and ride comfort of passengers. A bogie of railway vehicle Is composed of many suspension components, such as springs, dampers and etc.. that have an influence on the dynamic behavior of the train wish the wheel/rail profiles and track geometries. Therefore, it Is necessary for engineers to check the Interference between vehicle limit and construction limit with considering the vehicle's behavior, because when the vehicle is running on curved track, it should be have enough clearance from infrastructure for safely, spacially In a subway system. This paper explains the effective method of analysis for vehicle limit considering the vehicle dynamic behavior and reviews the problem of vehicle limit for the Korean Standard Urban Train. The results show that the vehicle limit is over the construction limit when the Korean Standard Urban Train runs on the curved track with 180 m radius of curve.

  • Recently, Building Information Modeling(BIM) has become a hot topic in the construction industry such as quantity calculation, interference check, process management, and construction cost management. It is also trying to convert the existing 2D design to 3D design and introduce the BIM in various fields, thus, many new deliverable are being presented but there are many issues due to the lack of standard guides on the preparation and delivery criteria for such new deliverable and how to utilize performance data. Therefore, In order to develop the electronic delivery process, we analyzed the process related to the delivery of BIM digital models presented in domestic and international BIM guidelines and the delivery of products from the Korea National Railway. The analysis focused on the list of achievements, delivery process, quality review standards, and the utilization code system of the Korea National Railway through BIM guidelines and the National Railroad Service's business procedures. Based on these analysis results, it presents a plan to construct an functional module of electronic delivery.

eLoran Signal Standard Inspection Process Development

  • In order to mitigate the vulnerability of the satellite navigation system against radio frequency interference, South Korea has been developing advanced terrestrial navigation system (eLoran) technology since 2016. The eLoran system synchronizes the transmission time of the pulse used in the existing Loran-C system with UTC and transmits correction information that can improve the position error. The eLoran system is known to reduce the position error of about 460 m of the existing Loran-C system to 20 m, and for this, the transmitter must be able to transmit eLoran signals according to more stringent standards. For this reason, an international standard that further developed the Loran-C signal standard established by US Coast Guard was established by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International. In this paper, based on the analysis of the SAE9990 document, the international standard for eLoran transmission signals, a standard inspection process was produced to check whether the eLoran transmitter is transmitting signals in accordance with the standard.

파이프의 지그 삽입 인장시험법에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Tensile Test Method of Pipe with Jig)

  • A pipe is a hollow, long-form part that is primarily used to transport fluids, such as liquids or gases. Pipes are used in a range of applications in different fields from mechanical purposes to architecture and electrical uses. Despite the significance owing to various usability of pipes, few studies have been conducted using the physical property test method. The tensile test is widely used as a method to check the physical properties of the pipe. The existing pipe tension test contains the possibility to cause errors, which are fractures outside the gauge distance and cross-sectional deformation of the pipe. In this study, a novel pipe tension test method using a jig is presented and pipes with various materials are tested. It is expected that the proposed method can reduce errors that occur in conventional pipes and also obtain more accurate values to enable more efficient testing.

담배거세미나방(Spodoptera litura) Chitinase gene의 RNA interference (RNA Interference of Chitinase Gene in Spodoptera litura)

  • RNA interference(RNAi)는 살아있는 세포 내에서 유전자의 표현 형을 억제하는 작용을 하고 Chitinase는 곤충이 탈피를 하는 동안 오래된 큐티클의 분해와 재흡수를 도와주는 효소로 알려져 있다. 이러한 작용기작을 이용하는 연구를 수행하기 위하여 담배거세미나방의 chitinase와 관련하여 탈피저해 효과를 조사하였다. 담배거세미나방 5령 유충으로부터 RNA를 추출하고 이용하여 cDNA를 합성하고 약 700 bp의 chitinase를 증폭 하였다. 증폭한 PCR product를 pGEM T-easy vector에 cloning하여 competent cell (E.coli)에 형질전환 시키고 mixture를 배양 후 colony를 선발하고 plasmid DNA를 추출하였다. 그 결과 약 3 kb size의 vector band와 약 700 bp의 insert band를 확인 할 수 있었다. dsRNA를 합성하기 위해 각각의 DNA를 Spe I과 Nco I의 제한 효소 처리를 하여 linear form의 DNA로 만들었다. dsRNA 합성 후 약 $10{\mu}g/{\mu}l$의 농도로 $5{\mu}l$씩 담배거세미나방 4령 유충에 주입하였다. 그 결과 유충-유충간의 탈피에서는 기형발육, 탈피저해, 표피의 색소 변이가 나타났다. 번데기-성충 간의 탈피에서는 탈피저해, 날개변이, 기형발육 현상을 볼 수 있었다. 용화율의 경우 무처리구 83.3%, DW 처리구 78.3%, dsRNA 처리구 66.7%로 나타났다. 우화율의 경우 무처리구 90.0%, DW 처리구 72.3%, dsRNA 처리구 65.0%로 나타나 dsRNA를 처리한 그룹에서 상대적인 탈피 저해 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 그러나 변이율의 경우 무처리구 8.9%, DW 처리구 2.9%, dsRNA 처리구 19.2%로 dsRNA를 주입한 처리구에서 변이율이 가장 높게 나타난 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 표현형적 변이는 dsRNA 주입 후 약 18 시간 이후부터 뚜렷하게 나타나는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

콘크리트 매립형 궤도를 운행하는 트램의 주행안전성 향상 기술 (Technologies for improving the running safety of a tram operating on the concrete embedded track)

  • 콘크리트 매립형 궤도를 운행하는 트램의 주행 안전성을 향상시키기 위해 핵심 구성품인 대차를 개발하고 제작하여 시험 차체와 조립한 후, 단거리 급곡선 급경사 궤도를 건설하고 시험운행을 실시하였다. 대차의 급곡선 주행 중 차륜 플랜지와 매립형 궤도의 간섭을 검토할 수 있는 산식을 제시하였고, 산식 결과에 따라 궤도를 설계하였다. 간략화된 계산식을 도출하여 곡선에서 탈선계수와 윤중감소율을 추정하였다. 단거리 급경사 급곡선 매립형 궤도에서 대차와 차체가 주행할 때에 차체의 가속도를 계측하였고, 영상 시스템을 통해 차륜과 궤도의 인터페이스 상태를 점검하였다. 계산 추정 결과에 따르면 차륜의 탈선계수와 윤중감소율은 안전기준 이하였는데, 실제 주행 시험 중에도 탈선은 발생하지 않았고, 가속도 계측 결과도 주행 안전기준을 만족하였다. 또한, 차륜과 궤도의 간섭은 발생하지 않았고, 영상 모니터링 결과도 차륜의 올라타기 등 탈선조짐은 발견되지 않았으며, 중앙의 피니언과 랙이 원활히 접촉하면서 양호한 주행안전성을 보여주고 있었다. 외부 소음 계측을 통해서 소음 기준을 만족하고 있음을 확인하였다.
