In school safety education, it was difficult to apply how to link the safety education according to grades year, and student's interest was reduced due to the repetition of existing safety education contents and the absence of new teaching methods and tools. In this study, as a new type of safety education, a performance forms fire safety education program was developed. This program aims to increase students' interest and satisfaction in safety education, and to this end, it was connect with korean elementary science curriculum and combined various engineering teaching materials or tools and methods. Developed program was applied to 2,231 students, 25 schools in 10 regions of Gyeonggi-do and surveyed 476 fifth and sixth grade students program satisfaction and 3 factors of interest in fire safety education who could respond to the survey. As a result of applying the program, more than 90% of students responded more than 'satisfied' in all areas. and statistical test(independent t-test and non-parametric test) indicates over-all satisfaction and interest factors in the program are high regardless of gender and grade, so the effectiveness can be guessed indirectly and there is a universal applicability also. Moreover, examining the influence of student interest level in the satisfaction of the fire safety program, it was found that in order to increase the satisfaction of fire safety education, students should have more fun with the content and feel interest in the teacher's teaching method or explanation.

Social interest in disasters is a significant factor in shaping disaster management policies, enabling the enhancement of disaster safety management and prevention activities according to the specific needs of society. However, in the past, there were limits to measuring which disasters society was particularly interested in. Hence, in this study, a method of measuring social interest using news data was devised. Specifically, we classifed news reports into natural and social disasters, creating a comprehensive Social Interest Index (SII) on disasters covering from 2011 to 2021. Additionally, we quantitatively compared the SII with budgets allocated to disaster-related efforts. Our primary findings are as follows: First, our methodology not only distinguishes natural disasters from social disasters but also identifies emerging areas of societal concern. Second, in recent years (2014-2021), social disasters gained more attention than natural disasters. Third, the disaster safety budget accounted for approximately 3.5% of Korea's total budget, closely paralleling the SII we measured. However, exceptions were noted in cases such as heavy snow, cold waves, and heat waves, where the SII remained high, but the disaster safety budget was relatively low, indicating potential outliers. The findings of this research are projected to contribute to the improvement of national disaster management policies by providing a quantitative measure of social interest in disaster, enabling more informed and effective policy decisions.

According to the rapid growth and popularization of the SMART device, the society is being changed greatly and importance of SW education is being emphasized. Also many student have a lot of interests about mobile application programming. The latest study suggests using the robots in the programming education may help to induce learners' interest and motivation, participation, achievement. So in this research, I designed a programming educational plan for SW education using robot and mobile application development tool(App Inventor) and applied them. And I conducted a survey four ares such as class, robot, App Inventor, robot and App Inventor. As a result, learner's response of interest and satisfaction was very positive commonly at four areas. In particular, learners could get programming result immediately using smart phone and could control the robot using smart phone, so learner's interest had increased especially. The conclusion is that suggested plan for SW education using robot and mobile application development tool is useful for programming education.
This study was conducted to examine the perceptions of residents in the Chungcheong area on the commercialization of traditional Korean foods as convenience foods. Data was gathered using a questionnaire designed to evaluate the concerns, satisfaction, and Knowledge of traditional Korean food as well as the perceptions on commercialization of Korean traditional foods as convenience foods. In order to measure traditional food recognition and interests related to health, a 5-point Likert scale was employed and 374 subjects were surveyed. The results are summarized as follows : Most of the respondents expressed concerns for traditional Korean foods. In the over 50 age group, degree of interest (p<0.01), knowledge (p<0.01), and satisfaction (p<0.01) with regards to traditional foods was higher than in other age groups. The professional group had higher degrees of interest, knowledge, and satisfaction about traditional foods than the general group. Based on monthly income, for respondents earning over 3,010,000 won/month, the knowledge rating for traditional foods was higher than in the under 3,000,000 won/month group. The professional group had a more positive view of the commercialization of traditional food as convenience food than the general group. Respondents deemed quality improvements and an increase in consumption as reasons for the commercialization of traditional foods. Those with a greater recognition of traditional foods also had a higher degree of interest for the foods. Efforts for the commercialization of traditional Korean foods will help with consumer menu choices menu development and systems management of Korean traditional foods.
This study is to explore whether the relationship among financial markets changed according to financial development. For this study, data analysis was conducted through analytic methods incorporated structural breaks such as Zivot and Andrews'(1992) unit root test Gregory and Hansen's(1996a,b) cointegration test, etc. In study results, it was found that dynamic relationship between stock price and interest rate was changed from negative to positive after the structural break(Oct 1999). It may be resulted from the fact that asset substitutability between stock and bond was increased since stock investment became popularized The negative relationship between stock price and exchange rate was reinforced after the structural break(the foreign currency crisis). Also, the negative relationship between interest rate and exchange rate was strengthened after the structural break(Oct. 1999).
This study investigated children's interests in learning English, affected by educational activities in and out of institutes, and mothers' perceptions regarding early childhood English education. We recruited, 253 mothers of 3- to 5-year-old children in either general kindergartens or English immersion institutes. They answered questions on socioeconomic status, perceived interest in English by their children, their perceptions regarding early childhood English education, and English education outside institutes. In addition, 42 English teachers provided information within institutes such as class time per week, teacher-pupil rate, and language use policy during class. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 22 for frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, independent t-test, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis. The major findings are as follows. First, the two groups were in distinct learning environment. Second, mothers' perceptions and outside-institute activities were significantly different between the two groups. Third, the English interests of children at both institutes were influenced by mothers' worries and at-home English interactions. Fourth, education within institutes did not affect both group's English interests. Fifth, private education and socioeconomic status did not affect both group's English interests. Lastly, only the children's interests in English immersion institutes were affected by gender and mother's perceived necessities. Focusing children's interests, this study helps in understanding young children's affective aspects regarding learning English. The findings are expected to be a guideline for each home and institute to increase children's interest in learning English.

Contrary to the widely held belief, the national park system in Japan has been unsuccessful in balancing conservation and development. The fundamental reasons for its failure are as follows: the Japan's national park system has been largely founded and developed based on economic grounds and held sway by economic development policy; the policy and administrative coordination between government units concerning conservation and development has not been carried out; public participation and environmental groups' involvement in the decision making have been extremely limited; national parks have been perceived in the public image not as distinctive national heritage but as finest and popular tourist sites; and the dominant interest of tourism and recreational development has prevailed over conservation interest. Japan's unsuccessful experience and lessons imply that there is urgent need to drastically reform our national park system, largely founded on the Japanese model, in order to save our last national environmental heritage.

The purpose of this study is to shed light on the meaning and value of interest (in Korean 'Jae-mi') in science education through literature analysis. Literature analyses were conducted on literature related to interest in various fields such as Korean language, psychology, philosophy, and education. Specifically, this study discussed the meaning of interest, the characteristics of the context of experiencing interest, the educational value of interest in science education, and the direction of science education to realize the value of interest. First, it was found that interest is an experience of emotional activation that can be felt through interaction with a specific object, and it is an emotional experience caused by the complex combination of various psychological factors, which is oriented sense, relationship, self, and object. Second, to understand the context of experience of interest, we conducted a topic modeling analysis with 1173 research articles related to interest. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the context of interest is closely related with playfulness. And we addressed that this kind of playfulness is also found in science. Third, the educational values of interest in science education were discussed. In science education, fun is not only an instrumental value to induce science learning behavior, it is also one of the universal experiences that learners feel lively in science teaching-learning, and driving force of individual students' emotional development related to science. The students' active attitude to feel interest lead to creative thinking and action. Finally, we argued that the interest that should be aimed in science education should be active interest and experienced at trial and error, not passive interest induced by external stimuli. And science education culture should be encouraged to respect those who enjoy science. In particular, this study discussed the importance of each student's unique interest experience based on the philosophy of philosopher Deleuze (1976).
