상호목표설정 간호중재가 유방절제술 환자의 수술 후 회복에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Nursing Intervention of Mutual Goal Setting on Recovery of Mastectomy Patient)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this research was to test the effectiveness of the nursing intervention, mutual goal setting, for patients who have had a mastectomy. Special reference was given to King's goal attainment theory and a theoretical framework for establishing an effective nursing strategy to enhance patient recovery is suggested. Method: This research employed a quasi-experimental design which consisted of pretest-posttest non-equivalent control and experimental groups. Data were collected from 37 patients who had a mastectomy and were hospitalized in the Department of Surgery of Y Medical Center from January 2001 to May 2001. The experimental group received the nursing intervention, mutual goal setting four times from the day before the operation to the fifth day after the operation while the control group received only routine nursing care. As postoperative recovery indicators, ROM of arm joints, arm circumference, pain, physical symptoms, oxygen saturation stress, anxiety and body image were measured. Result: The test results are as follows : 1) there were statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in extension and internal rotation of the shoulder Joint and flexion of the wrist joint. 2) there was no significant difference between the two groups in arm circumference. 3) there were no significant differences between the two groups in pain, physical symptoms, or oxygen saturation. 4) there were no significant differences between the two groups in stress, anxiety, or body Image. On the basis of research results, the following are recommended : 1) The effectiveness of nursing intervention in the acute recovery period as well as long term effects need to be investigated. 2) There is a need to develop an instrument to measure perception which facilitates goal attainment in the interactive setting between patients and nurses.

Killing Effects of Different Physical Factors on Extracorporeal HepG2 Human Hepatoma Cells

  • Objective: To determine the killing effects on extracorporeal HepG2 cells under different temperatures, pressures of permeability and lengths of treatment time. Method: According to different temperatures, pressures of permeability and lengths of treating time, extracorporeal HepG2 cells of human hepatoma cell-line were grouped to 80 groups. Cell index (CI) as the measurement of killing effect were calculated by monotetrazolium (MTT) methods, i.e., CI =1- (the OD value in treated group - the OD value in blank control group) / (mean of untreated control group - mean of blank control group). According to the factorial design, data were fed into SPSS 10.0 and analyzed by three-way ANOVA (analysis of variance). Result: Temperature, pressure of permeability and length of treating time all had effects on the CI (cell index) level. Length of treating time was the most influential factor of the three. Additionally, any two of them all had statistically significant interactive effects on the CI level. When treated for 5-30 min, destilled water at $46^{\circ}C$ stably generated the highest CI. Conclusion: The "$46^{\circ}C$-destilled water-60 min" was considered as the optimal combination of conditions which lead to highest CI. We suggest exerting celiac lavage for 15 min with stilled water at $40^{\circ}C-43^{\circ}C$ in surgical practice as a hyperthermia treatment to achieve ideal killing effects on free cancer cells, which is feasible, practical, and clinically effective.

  • OLAP(On-Line Analytical Processing) 툴은 조직 운영에서 발생하는 데이터의 양이 많아짐에 따라 분석 수요도 함께 급증하며 전문 분석가의 역량만으로는 처리할 수 없는 분석 요구 사항을 충족시키기 위한 툴이다. OLAP에서는 다양한 사용자가 직접 데이터베이스에 접근하여 대화식으로 질의를 던지고 응답을 받아 분석 업무를 진행할 수 있다. 이렇게 많은 사용자들이 데이터베이스에 직접 접근을 하게 됨에 따라 조직의 민감한 데이터를 지키기 위한 보안 정책이 필수가 되었다. 하지만 기존 연구에서는 OLAP의 기능적인 분석에 치중하여 MDX(Multidimensional Expressions)와 XMLA(XML for Analysis) 등의 기법으로 기능을 구현하는 것에 그치고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기존 연구의 문제점을 보완하기 위한 방법으로 효율적인 정보 보호를 위한 데이터 접근 제어 메커니즘을 제안하고 이를 설계 및 구현하였다. 제안한 데이터 접근 방법이 실제 OLAP 환경에서 효율성 있게 동작함을 확인하기 위해 실험평가를 수행하여 본 연구의 우수성을 입증하였다.

Calcium-Boron Interaction in Exopolysaccharide Production by the Cyanobacterium, Nostoc spongiaeforme

  • The effect and interaction of Ca and B on exopolysaccharide (EPS) synthesis in the diazotrophically growing cyanobacterium. Nostoc spongiaeforme, was investigated. The absence of B inhibited EPS synthesis 1.56-fold ($16\mu\textrm{g}$ glucose equivalent/mg dry weight, 16 d) over the control cells ($25\mu\textrm{g}$ glucose equivalent) grown in medium containing 0.5 mM Ca and $8{\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ B. When B concentration was raised to $40{\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, EPS production was stimulated 1.8-fold. Reduction of Ca concentraion to one-half (0.25 mM) resulted in increased B demand (16$\muM$) by the cells for EPS production at par with the normal sets. However, without Ca, EPS production also increased as B increased. Addition of B to a Ca-free medium stimulated cyanobacterial diazotrophic growth as well as synthesis of Chl a and phycocyanin (0-8 d). The data suggest B-dependent diazotrophic growth during Ca-deficiency and point to and important interactive role of Ca and B in regulation of cyanobacterial EPS synthesis.

  • This study of bimodal integration management system in conjunction with the tram and the tram cars bimodal integrated management system that occupies a part of the system to perform its role as a bimodal tram vehicle configuration, a device for the vehicle's infrastructure ryureul development and it is aimed to build on the vehicle. Bimodal tram vehicle infrastructure systems, internal and external information of the larger vehicles, and vehicles used to collect information for its own part and the integrated operations management center, or providing partial information from the station and collect/provide for the transfer of information to the communication part consists In this study, the core of these devices, the configuration of the vehicle infrastructure systems for the overall management and control of vehicles operating a computer's central processing device, vehicle infrastructure systems that make it manages and stores all jangchiryu Integrated Operations Management Center is reporting. In addition, seamless integration with operational management center for interactive communication in a vehicle mounted communications devices to maintain the best condition to manage. Current general traffic management system in a similar terminal device being used, but bimodal tram vehicles operating the computer of the vehicle operates the infrastructure to configure the devices around the one to configure the system in terms of step enhanced the active type, the operating terminal unit of inter active type. In this study, considering the future alignment of the accounting fee system, the expansion of the system reliability and stability around the activities that are underway.

The Effects of a Group Educational Intervention on the Prevention of Osteoporosis in Breast Cancer Patients

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of osteoporosis prevention education on Korean breast cancer patients' knowledge and health promoting behavior. Methods: The participants in this study included breast cancer patients who were registered at a self-help group organized by the Breast Cancer Center of a university hospital in Seoul, Korea. The intervention group received 60 minutes' didactic instruction followed by 30 minutes' interactive session, and reinforcement education with leaflets was given three weeks after the group intervention. In order to measure the effects of the intervention, this study used valid and reliable scales on the knowledge of osteoporosis and health promoting behavior for preventing osteoporosis. A post-test was conducted 12 weeks after the intervention. Results: The results showed significant improvement in three of the five factors of osteoporosis knowledge including bone physiology, the characteristics of osteoporosis, and preventive behaviors in the intervention group. Overall health promoting behavior for preventing osteoporosis had significantly increased in the intervention group compared to the control group. Conclusion: Osteoporosis preventive education improved breast cancer patients' knowledge of osteoporosis and health promoting behavior for preventing osteoporosis by inducing their voluntary participation in self-care activities.

Economic Development, Globalization, Political Risk and CO2 Emission: The Case of Vietnam

  • This study investigates the dynamic effects of economic development, international cooperation, electricity consumption, and political risk on the escalation of CO2 emission in Vietnam. We adopted autoregressive distributed lag model and Granger causality method to examine the interaction between CO2 and various economic and political factors, including foreign direct investment, trade openness, economic growth, manufacture, electricity consumption, and political risk in Vietnam since the economic revolution in 1986. The findings reflect opposite influence between these factors and the level of CO2 in the intermediate and long-term durations. Accordingly, foreign direct investment and CO2 emission have a bidirectional relationship, in which foreign direct investment accelerates short-term CO2 emission, but reduces it in the long run through an interactive mechanism. Moreover, economic development increases the volume of CO2 emission in both short and long run. There was also evidence that political risk has a negative effect on the environment. Overall, the findings confirm lasting negative environmental effects of economic growth, trade liberalization, and increased electricity consumption. These factors, with Granger causality, mutually affect the escalation of CO2 in Vietnam. In order to control the level of CO2, more efforts are required to improve administrative transparency, attract high-quality foreign investment, and decouple the environment from economic development.

  • This paper presents web-based virtual laboratory system for electronic and digital circuit experiments. Through our virtual laboratory, the learners will be capable of learning the concepts and theories related to circuit experiments and how to operate virtual experimental equipments such as multimeters, function generators, digital oscilloscopes, DC power suppliers and bread board etc. The proposed virtual laboratory system is composed of important components: Principle Classroom to explain the concepts and theories of electronic and digital circuit operations, Simulation Classroom to provide a web-based simulator to the learners, Virtual Experiment Classroom to provide interactive multimedia contents about the syllabus of off-line laboratory class, Assessment Classroom, and Management System. With the aid of the management System every classroom is organically tied together collaboration to achieve maximum learning efficiency. We have obtained several affirmative effects such as high learning standard, reducing the total experimental hours and the damage rate for experimental equipments.

  • 본 논문은 마커 기반의 증강현실 시스템을 이용하여 사용자의 지능 개발을 위한 게임형 인지 재활 시스템을 제안한다. 기존의 인지 재활은 타인의 도움을 받거나 키보드나, 마우스 조작을 필요로 하는 불편을 해소 하고자, 마커 카드 제어만을 통해 진행 되는 방식을 적용하였다. 이를 위해 카메라를 통해 얻은 영상의 보정을 위한 영상처리 과정과 마커 검출 및 증강 표현이 가능하도록 하였다. 제시된 완성 모형의 회전을 통해 전체 형태를 확인하고, 멀티 마커의 조합을 통해서 원하는 오브젝트 완성이 가능하며, 대화형 방식으로 처리되어 사용자에게 흥미와 치료에 대한 집중도를 증진할 수 있도록 하였다.

  • 기존의 자료구조 웹 코스웨어들은 텍스트와 그림 형태의 자료이거나 단순한 애니메이션 형태로 실습에 있어 학습자와의 상호작용이 미약하고 화면이동이 자주 일어나는 등 학습에 효과적이지 못한 구조이다. 본 논문에서는 학습자 스스로 학습 내용을 충분히 숙지하고 자료의 형태를 주도적으로 조작해가며 실습할 수 있는 애플릿 형태의 웹-기반 시뮬레이션 환경을 제공하였다. 이를 통하여 학습자가 자료구조 동작을 원하는 데이터로 실습하고 동작을 제어하도록 하여 코스웨어와 학습자 간의 적극적인 상호작용을 높일 수 있다. 교수자는 컴퓨터교육 매개체로 적합한 웹 시뮬레이션을 이용하여 학습내용을 쉽게 전달할 수 있다. 또한, 코스웨어는 데이터베이스 로그를 기록하여 수업에 관한 피드백 및 학생 평가에 필요한 자료를 제공할 수 있도록 하였다.
