공학과 예술에 있어서의 인터액션의 문제 (Interactivity in Technology and Art)

  • A new paradigm of technology, based on an interaction o( machines, humans and the environment through korperlichkeit(corporeality or philosophy of Mom), is explored. The issue of interactivity in contemporary art plays a key role in the investigation of interactive technology. An interactive system is proposed and implemented to explore the Proposed interactive technology Paradigm. Also, recent collaborations by ASTA(Arts, Sciences St Technology in Asia), an interdisciplinary project team of artists and engineers, are introduced to demonstrate these explorations.

  • Recent paradigm in technology shifts from object-based technology to environment-based technology. Issue here is interaction among humans and the world around humans, which is natural and artificial "space." Holistic interactions based on "Mom (embodiment)" suggest a good starting point for exploring this issue. Soft engineering, "Mom," holistic interactions, tangible space, ubiquitous computing, science of emotion, and interactive media are key concepts in interactive technology. Interactive tangible media "iT_Media" is proposed to explore and synthesize these ideas. Interactive technology initiative (ITI) is an interdisciplinary research group to search for the proper technology and the proper way of implementing technology: "interactive technology" or "soft engineering." Some experimental activities conducted by ITI are presented in this session, "Interactive Technology."

  • A human-friendly interactive system, based on the harmonious symbiotic coexistence of human and robots, is explored. Based on interactive technology paradigm, a robotic cane is proposed for blind or visually impaired travelers to navigate safely and quickly among obstacles and other hazards faced by blind pedestrians. Robotic aids, such as robotic canes, require cooperation between humans and robots. Various methods for implementing the appropriate cooperative recognition, planning, and acting, have been investigated. The issues discussed include the interaction of human and robot, design issues of an interactive robotic cane, and behavior arbitration methodologies for navigation planning.

  • A new 3-phase line-interactive UPS(Uninterruptible Power Supply) system with parallel-series active power-line conditioning capability using AC line reactor and two four-leg PWM VSCs(Voltage Source Converters) was introduced recently. In this paper, the strategy of voltage control in suggested UPS system is explained. The objective of proposed voltage controllers in parallel(shunt) and series PWM VSC is to guarantee satisfactory characteristics in steady state and transient state. Therefore the experimental results to prototype UPS system having power rating of 60kVA is shown to prove the verification of voltage control strategy.

  • 최근 인터넷의 발전으로 인해 다양한 정보들이 요구되고 있는 상황이다. 하지만 사용자들이 요구하는 정보는 기대치가 높아지고 있다. 그 중의 하나로 대학교에서 찾아볼 수 있는데, 바로 교수-학생 간 소통과 학과에 대한 정보이다. 온-오프라인에서의 의사소통과 학과의 정보는 아직 미흡하기 때문이다. 그리하여 우리는 의사소통과 건물 내부구조를 파악할 수 있는 VR Interactive Panorama를 제작하였다. 본 논문을 통해 여러 가지 정보를 얻을 수 있고, 온라인에서의 상호작용을 이끌어 낼 수 있다. 점차적으로 다양한 특성의 건물에 적용하여 사용자들의 요구에 충족하는 시스템으로 발전할 수 있을 것이다.

아버지 언어통제유형과 유아의 자아효능감, 사회적 유능성 및 상호작용적 또래놀이의 관계 (A Study on the Relationship between Father's Verbal Control Modes, Children's Self-efficacy, Social Competence, and Interactive Peer Play)

  • 본 연구는 아버지 언어통제유형과 유아의 자아효능감, 사회적 유능성, 상호작용적 또래놀이의 관계를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 만 3, 4, 5 세 유아 195명과 유아의 아버지였다. 자료수집은 설문지와 교사평정, 연구자 면담을 통해 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료는 빈도, 평균 및 표준편차, 상관관계분석을 통해 검증하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아버지 언어통제 유형은 지위지향형, 인성지향형, 명령지향형 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아버지 언어통제유형은 유아의 자아효능감 에서는 자아인지, 자아정서와 사회적 유능성에서는 지도력, 유능성, 불안정성과, 상호작용적 또래놀이에서는 놀이단절, 놀이방해, 상호작용적 또래놀이 변인들과 관계가 있었다. 본 연구는 아버지를 대상으로 하는 연구가 많지 않은 상황에서 수행된 연구라는 점과 유아의 전인발달 도모에 중요한 변인들과의 관련성을 살펴보았다는데 그 의의가 있다.

Interactive Technology Education at Pusan National University

  • We introduce an introductory engineering education course for engineering majors and non-engineering majors. This course does not require any previous knowledge and experience on engineering. It requires strong curiosities and imaginations on current and future society we live in, where technology is inseparable ingredient. Course encourages attendees to explore fundamental issues of engineering: what is proper technology and what are proper ways of exercising engineering, issues dealt in soft engineering. Since course topics cover many aspects of technology, traditional learning methods fail to be successful and efficient. Various efficient learning methods have been proposed and implemented. We utilize various interactive tangible media, which include simulated thought experiments and physical media experiences. About 20 episodes in short film format are produced based on scenario written according to related issues selected. Physical media like interactive robots are introduced for attendees' stimulated experiences. We summarize our exciting experiments on interactive teaching experiences at Pusan National University which include on/off-line interactions, assignments, projects, and evaluations.

자전거 시뮬레이터에서 블록 시간을 최소화하기 위한 통신 프로토콜의 설계 (Design of Communication Protocols with Minimum Blocked Time for an Interactive Bicycle Simulator)

  • The interactive bicycle simulator presented in this paper consists of a Stewart platform manipulator, magneto-rheological steering and braking devices, and a visual simulator. To provide a rider with reality, these devices should be controlled in real-time and motions of the devices and the visual should be also synchronized. If any of the devices and the visual gets unsynchronized due to significant blocking of control signals, the reality of the simulator is no longer secured. This paper presents communication protocols that minimize the blocked time of the control processes to guarantee the synchronization. The protocols are designed based on IPC (InterProcess Communications) of QNX, TCP/IP, and serial communication. The performance of the designed communication protocols is evaluated with the implemented bicycle simulator, and found satisfactory.

  • In this paper, the photovoltaic inverter system with instantaneous sinusoidal current tracking control is proposed to improve the utilization factor of photovoltaic power system which would be connected utility interactive system. The proposed inverter is designed to track maximum power point by two-state value control method and utility interactive operation, and to decrease output harmonics component. Optimal operating region is described by state space averaging method, and present tracking condition of standard guide line. The experimental result shows the effectiveness of inverter system using the instantaneous control method.
