Urban quality of life(QOL) is recently considered as the important determinant of inter-urban migration and industrial location chice. However, there is little concensus in the method of measurement of QOL. This study provides an theoretical framework of the measurement of QOL. This study provides an theoretical framework of the measurement of QOL, and developes a new method, a multi-year$\cdot$mulit-dimensional distance index model. Based on the theoretical framework and the method, the QOLs of 74 urban areas in Korea are measured, and the determinants of the QOL and the changes of the QOL between two years of 1993 and 1995 are analyzed. The results of the analysis are as follows: 1) The interurban differences of the QOL tens to be interban differences of the QOL tend to be intensified over time. 2) The OQLs of the cities in the Capital Region are relatively deteriorated. 3) The conditions of education$\cdot$Culture$\cdot$leisure life determiner over 65% of the QOL of the Korean cities.

As a result of an increase in population of the Metropolitan area and a steady change of circumstances in many parts, the city is sprawling out into the suburbs. This phenomenon causes the necessity of modification of present urban plan. It is risen as a point of issue that construction systems of new railway routes and underground construction, which should be followed the new urban plan in case of inter-regional railway and regional railway. It is hard to find sufficient financial resources, nevertheless the railway improvement definitely affects regional development and improvement of social environment. Also, there is a limit to government subsidies. In this respect, it is necessary to set up a new idea about movement of existing railway routes and improvement of the equipment. This study examines the present problems of railroad construction system in urban downtown area and introduces a suitable institutional way through referring to the instances of other countries.

This study reviews how an aging society can be connected to the urban-built environment, transportation system, infrastructure, and climate change topics from the perspective of policy and innovation in science and technology. Each topic was described with the aging society that we will encounter in the near future. Based on the expected discussions, we suggested how policy and technological innovations may interact with the new emerging society. Especially, digital transformation is expected to hyper-connect the aging society beyond physical barriers where numerous policies and innovations in science and technology shed light on the elderly population. We observe, however, that this cannot be achieved only by the government sector; rather, municipal governments and local communities, as well as private sectors, all together need to prepare for the new society of the aging population. Furthermore, an ideal approach is to accommodate multidisciplinary studies that can address the policy and technological innovations simultaneously and collectively. By doing so, we can minimize the negative impacts when an aging society approaches.

유럽연합의 형성으로 회원국가간에 존재하였던 기존의 국경기능이 완전히 사라지게 됨에 따라 유럽연합은 낙후된 접경지역을 개발하고, 접경지역간의 상호활동을 증대시켜 통합된 공동체의 내부지역으로 만들기 위해 1990년부터 접경지역개발계획(INTERREG)을 수립하여 접경지역 개발전략을 적극적으로 모색하고 있다. 과거 유럽 제철산업의 중심지였던 프랑스-벨기에-룩셈부르크의 접경지역은 지역경제와 사회침체를 억제하고 안정된 지역경제의 재 구조화를 이루기 위해 유럽연합의 INTERREG 계획과 유사한 지역경제ㆍ사회ㆍ문화적 특성을 바탕으로 접경지역의 공동개발인 P.E.D. 개발을 실행하고 있다. 또한 최근에는 지역경제의 재구조화뿐만 아니라 도시계획ㆍ행정ㆍ사회적 통합을 통해 지역을 활성화시키기 위한 장기적이고 전체적인 공동계발계획을 시도하고 있다.

Using cross-ties to connect cables together when forming a cable network is regarded as an efficient method of mitigating cable vibrations. Cross-ties have been extended and fixed on bridge decks or towers in some engineering applications. However, the dynamics of this kind of system need to be further studied, and the effects of extending cross-links to bridge decks/towers on the modal response of the system should be assessed in detail. In this paper, a system of two cables connected by an inter-supported cross-link with another lower cross-link extended to the ground is proposed and analyzed. The characteristic equation of the system is derived, and some limiting solutions in closed form of the system are derived. Roots of cable system with special configurations are also discussed, attention being given to the case when the two cables are identical. A predictable mode behavior was found when the stiffness of inter-connection cross-link and the cross-link extended to the ground were the same. The vector of mode energy distribution and the degree of mode localization index are proposed so as to distinguish global and local modes. The change of mode behaviors is further discussed in the case when the two cables are not identical. Effects of cross-link stiffness, cross-link location, mass-tension ratio, cable length ratio and frequency ratio on $1^{st}$ mode frequency and mode shape are addressed.

1997년 말의 경제위기 상황 이후 한국의 부동산 시장에서의 공급 증가 및 수요의 위축으로 부동산 가격이 크게 폭락하였다. 주택 시장에 있어서도 실질소득이 감소와 주택금융의 부족 등에 의한 수요의 감소로 단기간 동안 주택가격이 급격히 하락하였다. 그러나, 부동산 경기 부양을 유도하는 정책적인 기제에 의해 1998년 말 이후 주택가격이 다시 상승하게 되었다. 이 경우 주택 가격 하락기나 그 이후의 회복기에 도시별 격차가 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 각 도시들은 주택 가격의 하락률과 상승률의 차이에 따라 4개 그룹으로 구분될 수 있다. 몇몇 도시들에서는 주택 가격의 하락기에는 급격한 하락을 보인 대신 상승기에는 다시 비교적 빠른 상승세를 보여 경제 위기 이전의 상황으로 그 수준이 거의 회복되었다. 그러나, 반면에 다른 몇몇의 도시들에서는 주택시장이 침체에서 벗어나지 못한 채 회복기 이후에도 계속 하락하는 추세를 보였다. 이러한 격차는 주택 매매 가격뿐만 아니라 주택 전세 가격에도 뚜렷이 나타났다. 특히, 수도권 일대의 전세가격 상승 정도는 주택 시장 침체기에 나타났던 하락을 상회하였고, 일부 지역의 재개발 계획과 그에 대한 기대 심리로 인해 전세 수요의 급증을 초래하기도 하였다. 결과적으로 금융위기에 따른 경제 침체기를 경험하고 극복하는 과정에서 도시간 주택 시장의 격차는 더 크게 벌어지게 되었다.

이 연구는 1930년 국세조사 인구자료를 기초로 14개 부, 41개 지정면을 도시지역으로 설정하여, 도시로의 인구이동과 그 출발지 유형, 입지를 분석하여 당시 도시화 과정을 이해하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해서 당시 도시지역에 유입된 인구의 출생지를 출발지로 간주하고 그 유형과 입지를 우선 분석하였다. 분석결과, 1930년의 부와 지정면은 유입인구의 출발지에 따라 전국적 범위의 출생자들이 장거리 이동한 곳, 인접지역 출생자들이 단거리 이동한 곳 및 두 가지의 중간적 성격을 가지는 곳 등으로 구분될 수 있었다. 그리고 일제의 효율적 식민 지배를 위해 새롭게 개발된 도시일수록 전국적 장거리 이동자의 유입지라는 성격이 두드러졌지만, 전통적인 도시기능을 수행했던 곳들도 주변 인구가 유입되면서 지역의 중심도시로 빠르게 성장하였다. 이에 대해서 이 연구는 식민 도시화라는 정주체계와 전통적 정주체계의 이중적 구조가 이중적 도시화와 인구이동을 발생시켰을 가능성이 있음을 제안한다.

본 연구는 기업 간 거래망을 활용하여 지역 간 경제적 연계를 확인하고 경제적 상호의존성에 기초한 기능적 경제권을 설정하는데 그 목적이 있다. 기존의 경제권은 이미 알려진 행정도 경계나 문화적 동질성을 기준으로만 설정되거나 실증자료를 활용하더라도 통근, 인구이동, 화물흐름 등 경제활동을 충분히 설명하지 못하는 자료에만 의존하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 한계를 극복하기 위해 한국기업데이터의 CRETOP+ 데이터베이스를 활용하여 실제 기업 간 거래망을 구축하고, 커뮤니티 발견법을 적용해 우리나라의 기능적 경제권을 파악하였다. 분석결과 거래망에 따라 6~7개의 경제권이 도출되었다. 특히 수도권, 충청권, 강원권을 통합한 하나의 거대한 경제권역이 형성되어 있었으며, 전북, 전남은 서로 간의 기업 간 거래빈도가 매우 낮아 호남권으로 묶이기보다 별도의 경제권을 형성하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 대구, 경북의 경제권과 부산, 경남의 경제권이 각각 존재하는 것으로 나타났지만 울산, 경주, 포항은 도 경계를 넘어서 별도의 권역을 형성하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 본 연구는 향후 국가균형발전정책에서 실증 자료에 기반한 정책공간의 설정이 필요함을 주장한다.

Vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) cause link disconnection problems due to the rapid speed and the frequent moving direction change of vehicles. Link disconnection in vehicle-to-vehicle communication is an important issue that must be solved because it decreases the reliability of packet forwarding. From the characteristics of VANETs, greedy forwarding protocols using the position information based on the inter-vehicle distance have gained attention. However, greedy forwarding protocols do not perform well in the urban environment where the direction of the vehicle changes greatly. It is because greedy forwarding protocols select the neighbor vehicle that is closest to the destination vehicle as the next transmission vehicle. In this paper, we propose a greedy anycast forwarding (GAF) protocol to improve the reliability of the inter-vehicle communication. The proposed GAF protocol combines the greedy forwarding scheme and the anycast forwarding method. Simulation results show that the GAF protocol can provide a better packet delivery rate than existing greedy forwarding protocols.

최근 국내 도시철도 신설 및 개량사업에 무선통신기반 열차제어시스템 도입이 적극 검토되고 있다. 그러나 여러 가지 이유로 일부구간 또는 차량기지를 기존 궤도회로 기반으로 구축하는 경우가 있어 이종(CBTC, ATC) 열차제어시스템 간 상호운행이 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 신분당선 무선통신기반(CBTC) 차상신호장치를 탑제한 열차가 분당선 궤도회로(ATC)구간을 상호운행하기 위한 차상신호장치 설계와 두 노선을 탈선분기기 없이 안전하게 연결하는 방안을 제시한다.
