Fashion Consumer Segmentation based on Interpersonal Trust Online

  • Since trusting in other consumers may refer to having similar needs and preferences on fashion goods with them, interpersonal trust can be a reliable and practical criterion for market segmentation online. Therefore, this study aims to identify fashion online consumers based on interpersonal trust. This study segments fashion consumers based on interpersonal trust and experience and describes characteristics of each segment by examining demo-psychographic and behavioral variables as well as clothing consumption values. An online survey was conducted to collect data from 426 adult consumers who had bought fashion goods from their patronized e-tailer in the past one month. They completed a self-administered questionnaire inquiring about interpersonal trust, trust in e-tailers, purchase intentions, clothing consumption values, and their purchasing behavior online. Two-step cluster analysis generated four segments: distrustful doers, trusting doers, inactive trusters, and distrusters. They exhibited different characteristics in gender, online experiences, interpersonal trust, clothing consumption values, trust in the e-tailers, and attitude toward the e-tailers. Providing a new effective segmentation base, this study suggests that fashion marketers identify customers with a high level of trust in other customers and develop an encouraging environment that customers can interact with others in order to increase the effectiveness of trust. Because customers with a higher level of interpersonal trust are likely to have stronger trust in e-tailers with, more favorable attitude and purchase intention, and highly perceive the value of clothing consumption than those who have a lower level of interpersonal trust.

Effect of Sports Psychology on Enhancing Consumer Purchase Intention for Retailers of Sports Shops: Literature Content Analysis

  • Purpose: The sporting field is one of the most lucrative industries that most producers would want to share and drive-in sales towards its direction. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate how sports psychology has become a useful discipline in enhancing consumer purchase intentions. Research design, data, and methodology: This study employs a qualitative coding method to analyze and interpret the data obtained with a PRISMA declaration for analytical purposes. Using Web QDA (Qualitative Data Analysis) online tools, the current study coded the data obtained. Results: According to the prior studies, marketers should go the extra mile of looking for what sports customers are looking for. They understand that one way to increase the customers' willingness to purchase their products is by looking into the specific things that the customers look for and enjoy in sports. Conclusions: After all, the present study concludes that most marketers need to apply the concepts of sports psychology to understand consumer purchase intentions in particular retail stores. Consumers are likely to be influenced by their peers or groups to make decisions driven towards purchasing given sports apparel and the retail store to purchase a product.

서울 지역 고등학생 및 대학생을 대상으로 한 패스트푸드업체의 '스타마케팅' 광고효과 분석 (Celebrity Endorser Effects of Fast Food Industries on Seoul Highschool and Undergraduate Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of celebrity endorsers used in fast food industry among highschool and undergraduate students. By taking the sample's age and income into consideration, the advertisement examples of fast food industries were chosen for this study. Data was collected by questionnaires from 400 students. For statistical analysis, the SPSS V19.0 was used for reliability and factor analysis, chi-square test and regression analysis. The results are as follows: First, there was a significant difference (p<0.01) in advertising effects according to gender and education level. Out of the consumers who were exposed to celebrity endorsers, the highschool students and women showed higher advertising effects. Second, the advertising attitude was positively related to brand images (F: 479.680, p<0.01) and buying intentions (F: 1101.427, p<0.01) as well as brand images on purchase intentions (F: 492.175, p<0.01). In conclusion, the consumers with positive attitudes towards advertisements will also evaluate brand images positively and be more likely to purchase the products.

The Impact of Consumption Values on Environmentally Friendly Product Purchase Decision

  • Purpose: This study investigated how consumption values influence consumers' purchasing decisions regarding environmentally friendly products. Based on the Consumption Values Theory, six dimensions of consumption values were defined: functional value-quality, functional value-price, emotional value, social value, conditional value, and epistemic value. In particular, the current study analyzed the differential impact of the environmentally friendly consumption values between two consumer groups - users and nonusers. By doing so, more effective marketing strategies can be applied to the target groups. Research design, data, and methodology: The online survey was conducted through Macromill Embrain in Korea to collect data from users vs. nonusers of environmentally friendly products. There were 215 usable responses in the users sample and 225 responses in the nonusers sample. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was performed by using AMOS 18.0. Results: The results revealed that four dimensions of consumption values, i.e., functional value-price, emotional value, conditional value, and epistemic value, positively influenced the users, while functional value-price and epistemic value positively influenced purchase intention toward environmentally friendly products among the nonusers. Conclusions: These results have important implications for applying effective marketing strategies for target consumers. Theoretical and practical implications are also discussed.

고령자의 전자상거래 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인: 고령자 대상 마케팅 전략을 중심으로 (Factors Affecting E-Commerce Usage Intention: Focused on Marketing Strategies for the Elderly)

  • Purpose As elderly people are increasing rapidly in the world, consumption of elderly people is also increasing. However, there have been only marketing strategies for elder citizens centered on off-line. Therefore, apply marketing strategies to e-commerce suitable for the elderly in the future through online. This research was conducted to propose some marketing strategies relevant to elder people in the e-commerce context. Design/methodology/approach This study, for the preliminary research, firstly implemented the in-depth interviews based on prior studies, through preliminary research and analysis of previous research and then some research questions were set. With the research questions, we conducted a survey for elderly people and empirically validated the research model, testing given hypotheses. Findings Among the seven hypotheses, three hypotheses were supported by data analysis. Based upon the findings of this study, in order to do this, we have established a marketing strategy that utilizes e-commerce for elderly people who have purchasing power according to the principle of market economy.

아파트 거주자 평가를 통한 아파트 브랜드의 이미지 통합 실태 연구 (A Study on the Brand Image Intergration of Apartment By Residents' Evaluation)

  • The brand is getting more important purchase factor in apartment market, so domestic construction companies have tried to differentiate it from others by creating the unique brand image. The purpose of this study was to investigate consistency of apartment brand image as a process which includes publicity, design and customer service and to analyze how using intergrated brand image affects brand preference and purchasing intention. To examine hypotheses, an empirical study using a survey questionnaire for residents living in 4 different brand apartments in Dongtan, Hwasung city was conducted. The collected data were treated with the SPSS Win Program 14.0. The study indicates that residents living in brand apartment generally preferred natural friendly image, high-class image and modern image to the others. And at first apartment brand images were created with image advertising on TV, catalog for sale and model house tour, but residents have most needs for customer service reflected in brand images. The study also has found that brand images in each process including publicity, design and customer service were not intergrated. However brand image intergration had positive effects on residential satisfaction and customer loyalty. The results of the study are expected to become the useful data in developing sustainable apartment brands and building effective marketing strategy of construction companies.

블로그 사용자의 세분화와 전자상거래에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Segmenting blog users and its implications to the e-commerce behavior)

  • 양방향 커뮤니케이션을 가능케 하고 사용자들간의 능동적 참여를 가능케 하는 블로그는 현재 2000만 이상의 사이트가 개설되었다. 본 논문에서는 블로거를 구분하는 특성 요인을 기반으로 블로거를 세분화하는 과정을 거치고, 세분화된 블로거의 특성을 분석함과 동시에 영향력이 작은 블로거의 어떠한 특정 요인이 영향력이 큰 블로거로의 전환을 야기시키는지에 대한 분석을 하였다. 블로그의 내용적 요소와 심리적 요소를 독립변수로 설정하여 내용 및 심리적 요소, 그리고 태도와 신뢰 및 구매의도와의 관계를 규명하였다. 연구 결과 블로그 사용자의 의견선도적 성향과 정보탐색적 성향이 쇼핑몰에 대한 태도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

광고모델 특성이 구매의도와 브랜드태도에 미치는 영향 (A Study of the Effect of Model Characteristics on Purchasing intentions and Brand Attitudes)

  • 현대의 많은 기업은 경쟁사에 비해 자사기업의 제품에 대한 긍정적인 이미지를 증대시키기 위해 광고에 많은 노력을 기울여왔고, 최근 들어 멀티미디어의 급속한 발달은 광고의 효용성을 크게 증대시켰다. 이러한 상황에서 최근 소비환경의 급속한 변화는 수많은 브랜드를 양산해내고 있다. 또한 보통 소비자들이 쉽게 접하고 기업의 이미지의 제고를 통하여 시장우위를 점하기 위해서는 광고기법을 많이 활용할 수밖에 없다. 이러한 현대 광고행태는 모델이 차지하고 있는 비중을 더욱 커지게 만들고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 광고모델의 유형별 특성을 검토해 보고자 하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구를 위한 자료는 20대 이상의 대학생 남녀 230명을 대상으로 2011년 10월 20일부터 11월 5일까지 수집되었다. 또한, 광고모델의 특성이 구매의도와 브랜드 태도에 미치는 영향의 요인을 조사하기 위하여 수집되었으며, 자료의 수집은 20대 대학생 230명을 대상으로 수행하고, 조사방법으로는 설문지조사법을 이용하여 조사요원들이 1부씩 배부하여 회수하는 방법으로 연구를 진행하였다. 40부씩 5가지 모델의 사진이 첨부된 설문지를 통하여 광고모델별의 중점적 특성에 대해 파악한다. 결과를 요악하여 보면 구매의도에 미치는 광고모델의 특성과 브랜드 태도에 미치는 특성은 서로 비슷하지만 상이한 점을 찾아 볼 수 있다. 첫째, 구매의도에 미치는 영향으로는 신뢰성과 효율성이라는 결과가 도출되었다. 구매의사가 강하든 강하지 않든 고객들은 광고를 통한 구매의도의 영향을 받을 때 이 두 가지 특성을 가장 많이 고려한다는 결과이다. 광고를 통한 제품의 신용적인 면과 광고내용의 전달력을 위주로 판단하는 경향으로 드러났다. 둘째, 브랜드태도에 미치는 영향으로는 외향적 특성, 신뢰성, 효율성이라는 결과가 도출되었다. 브랜드 태도는 소비자나 고객이 그 기업에 대해 갖는 태도라고 할 수 있다. 이렇듯 구매 후에도 생성이 되고 소멸이 되는 이 브랜드 태도는 기업이 가장 강구하는 부분이다. 브랜드를 대신하여 광고를 하는 광고모델에 따라 브랜드 태도는 달라진다. 이 점을 유의하여 보았을 때, 광고모델의 외향적인 특성 또한 중요시 된다는 결과가 도출되었다. 따라서, 광고모델의 특성이 구매의도와 브랜드태도의 미치는 영향 중에서 브랜드 태도는 외향적 특성이 추가되어졌다. 이 도출의 결과는 브랜드 태도를 형성하는데 있어서 광고모델의 이미지가 직관된다고 설명이 되어 진다. 이렇듯 고객은 광고를 통해 소비자를 유혹하며, 광고상품에 대해 구매를 끌어당길 수 있다. 하지만 기업의 브랜드에 대한 긍정적인 태도를 확보하기 위하여 광고모델의 외향적인 이미지 또한 중요하다. 예를 들어 박경림은 10년 전 쯤 화장품 광고를 찍은 적이 있었다. 화장품 모델로 활약하며 토크프로그램에서 화장품 광고와 밀접한 말실수를 통해 손해배상을 하게 된 적이 있다. 당시 그 화장품을 구매한 고객들은 고액에 해당되는 금액 환불을 요구하였다. 이렇듯 기업 즉 브랜드의 얼굴을 맡는 역할은 광고모델이라 할 정도로 큰 역할을 하고 있는 것이다. 본 연구의 한계점으로는 대학생을 중심으로 한 점이 가장 큰 한계점이라고 지적할 수 있다. 또한 설문지 수가 230부에 불과하다는 점이 다소 부족함을 느끼게 만드는 요인이다. 더 나아가서, 광범위한 분석이 아니라 세분화하여 구체적인 분석을 도출할 수 있어야 했는데, 그러한 점이 본 연구의 한계점이라 할 수 있다. 향후 연구는 이러한 부족한 부분을 보완하고, 더욱 발전적인 방향으로 논의가 진행될 수 있도록 해야겠다.

IT서비스 아웃소싱 프로젝트 위험과 실물옵션 유형간 적합성에 관한 연구 (The Effect of IT Service Outsourcing Project Risks on the Intention of Purchasing Real Options based on Transaction Cost Theory)

  • IS outsourcing has an important meaning to the Korean SME's (Small and Medium Enterprises) which want to use the IS Services. The objective of this research is to manage IT risks occurred during IS outsourcing project process. This study tries to identify these risks using real option methodology. In order to perform this objective, this study set up the research model which is composed of two main concepts. The first one is the risk factors occurred during IS outsourcing project process: User's Risks, Supplier's Risks and Transaction's Risks. All of these risks are based on Transaction Cost Theory. The second one is the intention to get (or buy) Real Options to manage the risks. In the research model, two types of real option are included: option to abandon (put option) and option to defer (call option). This study uses questionnaires and statistics methodology (PLS) to analyze the hypotheses proposed in the research model. Compared with prior studies, this study is different in two ways. First, this study restricts the range of IT risks. Prior researches of IT Risk management in MIS area cover various range of IT risks, but this study focuses on the Korean SME's IT outsourcing risks on the basis of Transaction Cost Theory. This study tests the relationship between the risks and real option types. Second, this study tries to test the moderating effect of user's risks and supplier's risks on the relationship between transaction's risks and real option types. In IT outsourcing research area, almost studies focus on the direct relationships between IT risks and outsourcing success. But in reality, the co-relationship among IT risks may occur. There are some findings according to the research analysis. First, risks related with user's risks have strong causal relationships with the intention to get option to abandon (put) and option to defer. But risks related with supplier's risks have causal relationships only with option to abandon (put). Second, user's risks and supplier's risks have no moderating effect on the relationship between transaction's risks and real option types. According to the research results, this research have some important and interesting implications on the IS outsourcing business area. First, this study identifies the effective types of real option to minimize the risks occurred during the IT outsourcing projects. So IS outsourcing service users can manage (or minimize) effectively the risks, which occurred during outsourcing projects, using real options. Second, real option gives benefits to suppliers and users at the same time (i.e., win-win strategies between IS outsourcing service providers and users). Vendors (:IS outsourcing service providers) can offer users the real options which can minimize the occurrence of risks in time. "IN TIME" means that before the IS outsourcing project starts, vendors can offer users the opportunity to buy real options in appropriate prices to manage the possibility of the risks of IS outsourcing project. And users also have chance to minimize the IT outsourcing risks occurred during the project process using real options.

한국 택배기업의 서비스 실패와 복구에 관한 연구 -심각성과 통제성의 조절효과를 중심으로- (A Study on The Failure and Recovery of Korean Express Enterprise's Services -Focusing on Moderating Effect of Severity and Control-)

  • 본 연구는 고객 설문조사를 통해 복구 공정성(절차적 공정성, 결과적 공정성, 상호작용적 공정성)과 복구만족 간의 관계, 복구만족과 재이용의도 간의 인과 관계를 검증하고, 복구 공정성과 복구만족 간의 관계에서 택배서비스 실패의 심각성, 통제성의 조절효과를 확인하고자 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 택배서비스의 결과적 공정성과 복구만족간의 관계에서는 택배서비스의 결과적 공정성은 높을수록 복구만족이 낮아지는 것이 검증되었다. 둘째, 택배서비스의 절차적 공정성과 복구만족간의 관계에서는 택배서비스의 절차적 공정성은 높을수록 복구만족이 낮아지는 것이 검증되었다. 셋째, 택배서비스의 상호작용적 공정성과 복구만족간의 관계에서는 택배서비스의 상호작용적 공정성은 높을수록 복구만족이 높아지는 것이 검증되었다. 넷째, 복구 공정성과 복구만족의 영향관계에서 있어서 심각성, 통제성의 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 서비스 실패에 대한 복구만족과 재이용의도간의 관계에서는 서비스 실패에 대한 복구만족은 높을수록 고객의 재이용의도가 높아지는 것이 검증되었다.
