International Standardization of Intelligent Broadband Communication of Train (철도차량 지능형 광대역 통신망의 국제표준화 동향)

  • Electronic devices in railway vehicle perform various functions such as not only braking and propulsion but also monitoring of vehicle condition, on-line diagnosis, and passenger information service, etc. These devices, distributed in vehicle, should be efficiently connected so as to properly perform the functions. IEC (International Electro-Technical Commission) standardized train communication network (TCN) as IEC 61375-1, -2. TCN can reduce the interconnecting work load by reducing the number of wire-line, compared with existing hard-wire connection, and it brings the efficient control by enabling various devices to share the information. But existing TCN can not satisfy the increasing service demands like passenger internet access and CCTV surveillance, etc. In this paper, we investigate ECN (Ethernet Consist Network) and ETN (Ethernet Train Backbone) which are proposed to satisfy these demands and in the process of standardization by IEC TC9 WG43.

Practical Swarm Optimization based Fault-Tolerance Algorithm for the Internet of Things

  • The fault-tolerance routing problem is one of the most important issues in the application of the Internet of Things, and has been attracting growing research interests. In order to maintain the communication paths from source sensors to the macronodes, we present a hybrid routing scheme and model, in which alternate paths are created once the previous routing is broken. Then, we propose an improved efficient and intelligent fault-tolerance algorithm (IEIFTA) to provide the fast routing recovery and reconstruct the network topology for path failure in the Internet of Things. In the IEIFTA, mutation direction of the particle is determined by multi-swarm evolution equation, and its diversity is improved by the immune mechanism, which can improve the ability of global search and improve the converging rate of the algorithm. The simulation results indicate that the IEIFTA-based fault-tolerance algorithm outperforms the EARQ algorithm and the SPSOA algorithm due to its ability of fast routing recovery mechanism and prolonging the lifetime of the Internet of Things.

Design of Network Controller for Proportional Flow Control Solenoid Valve (비례유량제어밸브 네트워크 제어기 설계)

  • Proportional control solenoid is a type of modulating valve that can continuously control the valve position with magnetic force of solenoid. Recent microcontroller based digital servocontroller for proportional valve is being developed toward the smart valve with additional features such as enhanced control algorithm for finer process and intelligent on-board diagnosis for maintenance. In this paper, development of servocontroller network control with CAN bus which is free from problems of security and network traffic jam is presented. Design of network control system includes modes of communication between master and slave, assignment of 29bit message identifier and message objects, transaction of communication sequence, etc. Monitoring function and control experiments for remote valve through CAN network prove the extended function of smart valve control system.

A Research on Designing an Autonomic Control System Towards High-Reliable Cyber-Physical Systems (고신뢰 CPS를 위한 자율제어 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • Cyber-Physical system(CPS) is characterized by collaborating computational elements controlling physical entities. In CPS, human desire to acquire useful information and control devices anytime and anywhere automatically has increased the necessity of a high reliable system. However, the physical world where CPS is deployed has management complexity and maintenance cost of 'CPS', so that it is impossible to make reliable systems. Thus, this paper presents an 'Autonomic Control System towards High-reliable Cyber-Physical Systems' that comprise 8-steps including 'fault analysis', 'fault event analysis', 'fault modeling', 'fault state interpretation', 'fault strategy decision', 'fault detection', 'diagnosis&reasoning' and 'maneuver execution'. Through these activities, we fascinate to design and implement 'Autonomic control system' than before. As a proof of the approach, we used a ISR(Intelligent Service Robot) for case study. The experimental results show that it achieves to detect a fault event for autonomic control of 'CPS'.

Integrating Case-Based Reasoning with DSS (DSS와 사례기반 추론의 결합)

  • Case- based reasoning(CBR) offers a new approach for developing knowledge based systems. Unlike the rule-based paradigm, in which domain knowledge is encoded in the form of production rules, in the case-based approach the problem solving experience of the domain expert is encoded in the form of cases stored in a casebase(CB). CBR allows a reasoner (1) to propose solutions in domains that are not completely understood by the reasoner, (2) to evaluate solutions when no algorithmic method is available for evaluation, and (3) to interprete open-ended and ill-defined concepts. CBR also helps reasoner (4) take actions to avoid repeating past mistakes, and (5) focus its reasoning on important parts of a problem. Owing to the above advantages, CBR has successfully been applied to many kinds of problems such as design, planning, diagnosis and instruction. In this paper, I propose case-based DSS(CBDSS). CBDSS is an intelligent DSS using CBR technique. CBDSS consists of interface, case-based reasoner, maintainer, casebase management system, domain dependent CB, domain independent CB, and so on.

A Fault Diagnosis System of Glass Melting Furnace Using A Fuzzy Expert System (퍼지 전문가 시스템을 이용한 유리 용해로 이상 감시 시스템 구축 사례)

  • 본 논문에서는 용해로 이상감시를 위한 실시간 유리 용해로 운전 전문가시스템을 구축한 결과를 소개한다. 유리 용해 공정에서는 운전자의 경험지식에 의해 내부의 상황을 판단하게 되고, 이는 용해로 수명과 제품의 품질에 중요한 영향을 준다. 이를 전문가 시스템으로 구현하기 위하여, 먼저 기존 운전자의 지식을 취합, 분석한다. 그 후,취합된 각 지식들의 특성에 부합하도록 이진 규칙(Crisp Rule)과 퍼지 규칙(Fuzzy Rule)으로 구분한다. 이 때, 선형 회귀분석을 통하여 퍼지 규칙의 입력을 결정함으로써 보다 정확한 운전 지식의 표현이 가능하도록 하였다. 설계된 알고리듬은 젠심(Gensym)사의 실시간 전문가 시스템 개발 툴인 G2를 사용하여 구현하였다. 제시된 퍼지 전문가 시스템은 삼성코닝(주) 수원사업장의 실제 생산 용해 공정에 직접 적용하여 그 효율성이 검증되었다.

  • 송변전기기는 고압 대용량화로 진행되어, 기기의 고장 발생 시 그 파급효과는 엄청나다. 이에 전력설비들은 매우 높은 신뢰성이 요구되며 특히 기기의 고장을 예측 진단하여 신뢰성을 높이는 부분은 필수 불가결한 부분이 되었다. 이에 (주)효성에서는 변압기 진단을 위한 센서 및 IED가 포함된 지능형 변압기(Intelligent Power Transformer)용 Local Unit을 개발하였다. 본 논문은 (주)효성에서 개발한 Local Unit의 진단알고리즘에 대해 기술하였다.

  • 주택용 분전반내의 과부하 차단기(MCCB)나 누전차단기(ELCB)들은 전류 RMS 크기만을 가지고 고장전류를 인식하기 때문에 아크고장전류를 차단하지 못해, 수용가들은 전기화재로 인한 심각한 인명피해나 재산상의 손실을 자주 경험할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해소하기 위해 아크진단 기능을 가지는 지능형 분전반을 제안하고자 한다. 특히 여기에서는 아크고장 진단 기능을 고려한 지능형 분전반의 단상 전력관리 모듈 설계연구를 주 목적으로 한다.

  • In modern plant lndustry, dignosis system is an essential implement because a human operator cannot check the state of system all the time. The recent facility needs a computer system which is able to replace and extense the function of the human expert. Checking the state of the plant system, the computer system uses signals form sensors attached to the plant systems. But, It is difficult to predict the cause of the failure from the sensing signals. Because the relationship among the signals cannot be easily represented by mathematical models. So expert system based on a fuzzy rule and Neural network method is sugguested. Expert system decide whether aa state of the system is ordinary of failure by the evaluation of the signals. If the state of the system is unstable, expert system preprocess the signals. When fault is occurred in the machine, the expert system dignoses the state of the system and find the cause as a primary tool. If the expert system dose not find the adequate cause successfully, neural network system uses the preprocessed signals as an input and propose a cause of the failure.

  • The paper used to the Neral Netwok for a forecasting conservation system A neural network is a powerful data modeling tool that is able to capture and represent complex input/output relationships. The motivation for the development of neural network technology stemmed from the desire to develop an artificial system that could perform "intelligent" tasks similar to those performed by the human brain. The true power and advantage of neural network lies in their ability to represent both linear and non-linear relationships and in their ability to learn these relationships directly from the data being modeled. Form results of this study, the Neral Netwok is will play an important role for insulation diagnosis system of real site GIS and power equipment using $SF_6$ gas.
