Stakeholders' Opinion on the Desired Characteristics of Nursing School Graduates and Factors Concerning Nursing Curriculum Development in Thailand

  • Effective higher educational management in undergraduate nursing programs is an important issue from the viewpoint of stakeholders. This qualitative research aimed to examine the characteristics of nursing students and curriculum development of undergraduate nursing education from the opinions of Boromarajonani College of Nursing Saraburi, Thailand stakeholders. The population included 4 groups: 1) the alumni who have graduated within the past 5 years and currently work in primary, secondary, and tertiary care units, 2) the supervisors and colleagues of the alumni, 3) nursing lecturers, and 4) the current nursing students. The respondents who are the alumni, nursing lecturers, and current nursing student were selected using a purposive sampling, for the supervisors and colleagues were selected using snowball techniques. Semi-structured interview questions were used for data collection. Group discussions were conducted until saturation on 55 key informants. The qualitative data was analyzed using content analysis. Results showed the viewpoints of stakeholders on the characteristics of future nurse graduates were comprised of four elements: knowledge that meets standards; essential skills for self-development and lifelong learning process; good morals and professional ethics in providing nursing care; and nurse competencies in teamwork, communication, language, research, management, IT, life skills, and global literacy. The viewpoints on the development of the nursing curriculum focus on four elements: the learner, teaching and learning, course content, and instructor tasks. For learners, the admission criteria should include a minimum not only of knowledge, but also positive attitude, science, and art skills, since the nursing profession is both a science and the art of caring. Teaching and learning elements should be authentic, including exposure to real situations, an integrated network, and activities that improve nursing care. Course content was comprised of an updated curriculum, humanized nursing care, student center, theory and practice with moral integration, case-based study, critical thinking, multidisciplinary work, and love for the nursing profession. Instructor tasks are to elicit student ideas, provide opportunities to learn, support infrastructure, support technology use, and extra-curricular activities to develop the competencies of nursing students. Recommendations were that the curriculum administration should review the selection process of student candidates and instructional management to achieve expected outcomes of nursing characteristics in the future. The nurse lecturer should provide authentic and integrated instruction, decrease lecturing, cultivate a lifelong learning process, and sustain the nursing characteristics.

  • 사회의 변화에 따라 교육현장도 급격하게 발전하고 있다. 1996년 9월 1일 교수학습사이트인 에듀넷 시스템을 개발 보급한 이래 교수학습지원센터, 사이버가정학습 시스템을 비롯하여 진단처방시스템, 화상강의 및 상담시스템, 학력관리시스템을 지속하여 개발하였으나 상호 연계성이 부족하여 교육수요자들에게 큰 호응을 얻지 못하였다. 이는 여러 가지 원인이 있으나 새로운 변화를 예측하거나 비전을 제시하기보다 그 때마다 새로 구축하여 연속성이나 지속성을 고려하지 못한 결과이다. 스마트교육에 적합한 시스템은 독립된 시스템을 단순한 통합로그인에 의한 시스템보다 가장 기본이 되는 데이터베이스시스템에 빅데이터 개념을 도입, 다양한 데이터를 유용한 정보로 분석 가공하여 교육수요자에게 제공한 시스템으로 통합이 이루어 져야하며, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 시스템이 단순한 파일을 관리하고 응용프로그램을 제공하는 시스템이 아니라 다양한 형태의 콘텐츠와 데이터를 관리하고 제공할 수 있는 형태로 구축하여야 한다.

  • In this article, we present some derived subjects from the concept of ICT-based DPD concept for the safety of folk villages in both Korea and Japan. First, our deduced topic would rather be a monitoring system design of structures in folk villages. We, therefore, offer an integrated model of maintenance and management monitoring scheme. As another research subject, we submit safety sign or sign system installed in traditional towns and their standardization. We have draw up a plan to make signs upgrade applied to folk villages in Korea and Japan. According to our investigations, we should suggest and focus on flood in the area of traditional town in Korea. We present a water-level expectation model using deep learning simulation. We have applied this method to the area of 'Andong Hahoe' village which had been registered on World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. The final goal of our research is to propose and realize an integrated disaster prevention and/or safety system based on big data concepts for both Korea and Japan.

적응 훈련 신경망을 이용한 플라즈마 식각 공정 수율 향상을 위한 공정 분석 및예측 시스템 개발 (Development of Process Analysis and Prediction Systeme to Improve Yield in Plasma Etching Process Using Adaptively Trained Neural Network)

  • As the IC(Integrated Circuit) has been densified and complicated, it is required to thorough process control to improve yield. Experts, for this purpose, focused on the process analysis automation, which is came from the strict data management in semiconductor manufacturing. In this paper, we presents the process analysis system that can analyze causes, for a output after processes. Also, the plasma etching process that highly affects yield among semiconductor process is modeled to predict a output before the process. To approach this problem, we use adaptively trained neural networks that exhibit superior accuracy over statistical techniques. And in comparison with methods in other paper, a method that history of trend for input data is considered is shown to offer advantage in both learning and prediction capability. This research regards CD(Critical Dimension) that is considerable in high integrated circuit as output variable of the prediction model.

생명정보학과 유전체의학 (Bioinformatics and Genomic Medicine)

  • Bioinformatics is a rapidly emerging field of biomedical research. A flood of large-scale genomic and postgenomic data means that many of the challenges in biomedical research are now challenges in computational sciences. Clinical informatics has long developed methodologies to improve biomedical research and clinical care by integrating experimental and clinical information systems. The informatics revolutions both in bioinformatics and clinical informatics will eventually change the current practice of medicine, including diagnostics, therapeutics, and prognostics. Postgenome informatics, powered by high throughput technologies and genomic-scale databases, is likely to transform our biomedical understanding forever much the same way that biochemistry did a generation ago. The paper describes how these technologies will impact biomedical research and clinical care, emphasizing recent advances in biochip-based functional genomics and proteomics. Basic data preprocessing with normalization, primary pattern analysis, and machine learning algorithms will be presented. Use of integrated biochip informatics technologies, text mining of factual and literature databases, and integrated management of biomolecular databases will be discussed. Each step will be given with real examples in the context of clinical relevance. Issues of linking molecular genotype and clinical phenotype information will be discussed.

특수학급 공간구성에 대한 특수학급교사의 의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Special Teachers' Attitude toward Classroom Layout for Special Students)

  • These days the trend of special education is changing from special school-based education to special class room based education, and from separated education to integrated education. In accordance with this change, special classes should be planned for multi purposes so that the class room can be used for the place of teaching and learning, guidance, job education. This research surveyed the special teachers working for 937 schools which have special classes(elementary 631, middle 217 high school 89). The result of this survey shows the different responses according to the level of the schools. For education activities, elementary and middle schools put emphasis on curriculum rather than guidance. High education, elementary school should have the places for teaching and learning, student management, play ground. Middle schools give priority to the places for individual learning, computer and practical training. High schools value the places for job education and practical training above for learning.

유아교사 갈등관리 유형이 협동적 조직문화에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Early Childhood Teacher's Styles for Conflict Management Type on Cooperative Organizational Culture)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유아교사의 갈등관리유형이 협동적 조직문화에 미치는 영향을 알아보는데 있다. 연구대상은 중소도시 I시 유아교육기관에 재직 중인 교사 138명이다. 검사도구는 유아교사의 협동적 조직문화 및 갈등관리 유형에 대한 설문지를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 연구대상의 pearson의 적률상관 관계를 분석하고, 유아교사의 갈등관리 유형이 협동적 조직문화에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위해 단계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 유아교사의 협동적 조직문화와 갈등관리 유형 전체는 관계가 있었다. 협동적 조직문화 전체는 특히 갈등관리 유형의 통합형과 가장 높은 관계가 있었으며, 그 다음은 타협형, 배려형, 지배형의 순서로 나타났다. 반면 회피형과는 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 협동적 조직문화에 미치는 갈등관리 유형의 하위요인은 통합형이 가장 높은 영향력을 지니고 그 다음은 배려형이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 협동적 조직문화의 하위영역에서 협동적 지도성에는 통합형이 가장 높은 영향력 지니고, 그 다음은 배려형이 영향력을 지니고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 교사의 협동성, 동료지원, 학습 동반자에는 통합형이 가장 많은 영향을 미치고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아교육 현장에서 유아교사의 갈등관리에 대한 중요성을 인식시키는 계기가 되었으며, 갈등관리 유형과 협동적 조직문화에 대한 인식을 제고하게 되었다는 점에서 연구의 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

ICT 교육 통합 지원시스템을 위한 교수,학습 콘텐츠 관리시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Teaching-Learning Content Management System for ICT Education Integrated Support System)

  • 최근 초고속 통신망과 같은 우리나라의 발달된 인터넷 인프라를 활용할 수 있는 e-Learning 콘텐츠 활발히 개발되고 있다. 본 논문은 기존에 개발된 콘텐츠와 평가를 포함한 교수,학습 활동 계획을 관리할 수 있는 ICT 교육 통합 지원 시스템을 구성하는 서브시스템 중 교수,학습 콘텐츠 관리 시스템을 설계, 구현하였다. 이를 위하여 이미 개발되고 중앙교수학습센터 및 시,도 교수학습 지원센터 등에서 제공되고 공유되는 학습자료를 활용하기 위해 KERIS 등에서 제시한 표준을 본 시스템의 설계에 반영하였다. 교수,학습 콘텐츠 관리 모듈은 학습객체를 분류 저장 데이터베이스화 하였으며 실제 활용이 매우 쉬어 특별한 훈련이나 교육을 받지 않아도 기초적인 수준의 PC 활용 능력만 있다면 누구나 쉽게 교수,학습 콘텐츠를 수집하여 활용할 수 있도록 하였다. 본 시스템은 기 개발된 학습객체의 재사용으로 인한 효율성 증가는 물론 교과, 단원 학습 주제별로 구조화하여 저장 관리하여 교사의 교수활동 준비 시간을 줄임으로써 실제 학교 현장에서 활용하여 ICT 활용 교수,학습 활동 개선에 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다.

다변량 데이터의 분류 성능 향상을 위한 특질 추출 및 분류 기법을 통합한 신경망 알고리즘 (Feature Selecting and Classifying Integrated Neural Network Algorithm for Multi-variate Classification)

  • Research for multi-variate classification has been studied through two kinds of procedures which are feature selection and classification. Feature Selection techniques have been applied to select important features and the other one has improved classification performances through classifier applications. In general, each technique has been independently studied, however consideration of the interaction between both procedures has not been widely explored which leads to a degraded performance. In this paper, through integrating these two procedures, classification performance can be improved. The proposed model takes advantage of KBANN (Knowledge-Based Artificial Neural Network) which uses prior knowledge to learn NN (Neural Network) as training information. Each NN learns characteristics of the Feature Selection and Classification techniques as training sets. The integrated NN can be learned again to modify features appropriately and enhance classification performance. This innovative technique is called ALBNN (Algorithm Learning-Based Neural Network). The experiments' results show improved performance in various classification problems.

딥러닝을 이용한 구강 스캐너 이미지 내 치아 영역 실시간 검출 (Real-time Tooth Region Detection in Intraoral Scanner Images with Deep Learning)

  • In the realm of dental prosthesis fabrication, obtaining accurate impressions has historically been a challenging and inefficient process, often hindered by hygiene concerns and patient discomfort. Addressing these limitations, Company D recently introduced a cutting-edge solution by harnessing the potential of intraoral scan images to create 3D dental models. However, the complexity of these scan images, encompassing not only teeth and gums but also the palate, tongue, and other structures, posed a new set of challenges. In response, we propose a sophisticated real-time image segmentation algorithm that selectively extracts pertinent data, specifically focusing on teeth and gums, from oral scan images obtained through Company D's oral scanner for 3D model generation. A key challenge we tackled was the detection of the intricate molar regions, common in dental imaging, which we effectively addressed through intelligent data augmentation for enhanced training. By placing significant emphasis on both accuracy and speed, critical factors for real-time intraoral scanning, our proposed algorithm demonstrated exceptional performance, boasting an impressive accuracy rate of 0.91 and an unrivaled FPS of 92.4. Compared to existing algorithms, our solution exhibited superior outcomes when integrated into Company D's oral scanner. This algorithm is scheduled for deployment and commercialization within Company D's intraoral scanner.
