We identify key theoretical approaches, constructs, and primary variables of interest that exist in the foreign market entry mode articles. This provides fertile ground for continued development in our foreign market entry mode research. Using the integrated framework, this paper examines the determinants of foreign market entry mode choice by Korean firms and the impact of the entry mode choice on performance in a unified model. Using a database of KIS-VALUE in Korea from 2003 to 2005, we find that the hypothesized effects of related factors on entry modes are partially supported.

Shape design optimization of shell structure is implemented on a basis of integrated framework of geometric modeling and finite element analysis which is constructed on the geometrically exact shell theory. This shell theory enables more accurate and robust analysis for complicated shell structures, and it fits for the nature of B-spline function which Is popular modeling scheme in CAD field. Shape of laminated composite shells is optimized through genetic algorithm and sequential linear programming, because there ire numerous optima for various configurations, constraints, and searching paths. Sequential adaptation of global and local optimization makes the process more efficient. Two different optimized results of laminated composite shell structures to minimize strain energy are shown for different layup sequence.

This paper describes the design and implementation of a SNMP Agent for NG-SDH transmission system. One of the most important items in SDH network management is the information model that implements every function of SDH equipment at network level. Although the TMN framework of SDH information model has been defined quite well, CMIP constraints of a real implementation urge vendors to implement proprietary features, and make it more difficult to maintain an integrated view of multivendor SDH networks management. To solve these aspects, this work proposes SNMP information model that allows a simple view of NG-SDH network management.

In this paper, we describe HW/SW co-optimizations for reconfigurable application specific instruction-set processors (ASIPs). Based on our previous very long instruction word (VLIW) ASIP, the proposed framework realizes various forward error-correction (FEC) algorithms for wireless communication systems. In order to enhance the energy efficiency, we newly introduce several design methodologies including high-radix algorithms, task-level out-of-order executions, and intensive resource allocations with loop-level rescheduling. The case study on the radix-4 turbo decoding shows that the proposed techniques improve the energy efficiency by 3.7 times compared to the previous architecture.

This study proposes an approach to Product Data Management (PDM) education for collaborative product data management, which can support collaborative product development process. This approach introduces social media and a PDM system into a framework for PDM education supported by consistent product development process and product data model. It has been applied to two PDM classes and the result shows that the social media in PDM education can support not only experiences of the collaborative product data management but also interactive and informal communications among instructors and participants using integrated social media with product data during courses.

Given the prevalence of home trading systems, it has become important to examine user behaviors in a stock investment environment. In this vein, this paper developed an integrated model to deeply understand the key determinants of user's continuance intention to use investment information through constructs prescribed by incorporating trust and perceived risk into expectation-confirmation model. The proposed research model was tested by using survey data collected from 160 users who have experience with stock investment. PLS (partial least squares) was employed for the analysis of the data. The findings of this study showed that the proposed framework provides a statistically significant explanation of the variation in continuance intention to search investment information. The findings revealed that trust and perceived risk are more prevalent predictors of continuance intention to use investment information compared to perceived usefulness. It was also found that user satisfaction serves as the salient antecedents of continuance intention to use investment information. The theoretical and practical implications of the findings were described.

Pyro project, one of complex project, is now under research and development. To manage this kind project successfully, it is essential to apply the processes of technical management (TM) based on systems engineering (SE) and project management (PM). In this paper, the project management processes from ISO-21500 standard, PMBOK guide, and PRINCE2 guide were reviewed, and then some common PM for the large national R&D project were selected. An integrated technical management and project management frame work was finally established and suggested for Pyro project.

Query language has been widely used as a convenient tool to obtain information from a database. However, users demand more intelligent query processing systems that can understand the intent of an imprecise query and provide additional useful information as well as exact answers. This paper introduces a meta-database and presents a query processing mechanism that supports a variety of intelligent queries in a consistent and integrated way. The meta-database extracts data abstraction knowledge from an underlying database on the basis of a multilevel knowledge representation framework KAH. In cooperation with the underlying database, the meta-database supports four types of intelligent queries that provide approximately or conceptually equal answers as well as exact ones.
