외부공기 유입관을 이용한 컴퓨터 냉각시스템의 효율향상에 관한 연구 (A Primary Study on the Enhancement of Efficiency in the Computer Cooling System using Entrance Tube of Outer Air)

  • In recent years, since the continuing increase in the capacity in personal computer such as the optimal performance, high quality and high resolution image, the computer system's components produce large amounts of heat during operation. This study analyzes and investigates the ability and efficiency of a cooling system inside a computer by means of central processing unit (CPU) and power supply cooling fan. This research was conducted to enhancement of efficiency of the cooling system inside the computer by making a structure which produces different air pressures in an air inflow tube. Consequently, when temperatures of the CPU and room inside computer were compared with a general personal computer, temperatures of the tested CPU, the room and the heat sink were as low as $5^{\circ}C$, $2.5^{\circ}C$ and $7^{\circ}C$ respectively. In addition to, revolution per minute (RPM) was shown as low as 250 after 1 hour operation. This research explored the possibility of enhancing the effective cooling of high-performance computer systems.

X-ray 영상기법을 이용한 비소 흡수가 고사리 내부 수액 거동에 미치는 영향 연구 (X-ray Micro-imaging of Arsenic Absorption of Sap Flow in Xylem Vessels of Pteris)

  • The global environment is deteriorating at an alarming rate, despite of enhanced international environmental regulation. Many studies have been performed to reduce toxic pollutants. Recently, plant-based phytoremediation technology for moving toxic contaminants from soil and water has been receiving large attention. Arsenic-contaminated soil is one of the major pollutant sources for drinking water. Pteris erotica has been known as a hyper-accumulator of arsenic from soils. In this study, we investigated the effect of arsenic absorption on sap flow inside xylem vessels of Pteris. The synchrotron X-ray micro-imaging technique was employed to monitor the refilling process of water containing arsenic inside the xylem vessels of Pteris's leaves and stems non-invasively. The captured phase-contrast X-ray images show both anatomy of internal structure and transport of water inside Pteris. The exposure of Pteris to arsenic solution was found to increase largely the water raise speed in xylem vessels. The present results would provide important information needed for understanding the mechanisms of accumulation and transportation of toxic materials in plants.

자동차 HVAC용 Blower Unit 내부 유동장의 PIV 계측 (PIV Measurement of Flow Inside of HVAC Blower Unit)

  • Flow characteristics inside a blower unit of an automotive HVAC module were investigated experimentally using a high-resolution PIV technique. The PIV system consists of a 2-head Nd:YAG laser, a high-resolution CCD camera, optics and a synchronizer. The prototype siroco-fan with forward-curved blades was operated under the same condition of real car. The scroll casing was made transparently for capturing clear flow images. The time-averaged velocity fields were measured in three cross sections. Flow is accelerated with going toward the outer wall of scroll due to centrifugal force and large pressure gradient formed in the region between the fan and the outer casing wall. The presence of the cut-off region and diffusing duct of fan outlet influences largely the flow structure inside the blower unit.

  • In the study of library history in our country, the history of the Koryo Dynasty is very important. The Pisosong, the first library to be operated by the government, was founded in 995 .A. D. Although research about the Pisosong indicated that it was located outside the palace the author felt that further investigation was needed. Might not the library be located inside the palace\ulcorner For this reason, this study examined 1) the historical background of the Pisosong, 2) changes in its structure and organization, 3) its organization and personnel, 4) its function and, 5) its relation to the Pigak and the Osowon. The findings of this study may be summarized as follows: 1) Pisosong was changed and reorganized 15 times by the end of the Koryo Dynasty. 2) Its functions were keeping official documents and books, buying, exchanging, publishing, editing, revising books, writing official documents for the king and, as a place to discuss ideas and sometimes to deliver lectures to the king. 3) Osowon was another institute which was equivalent in its function and role to the Pisosong. 4) The Pisosong was in all probability located inside the palace because there were very important books in it. It is assumed that its location should be a secure place. Also this would enable the library to be managed more conveniently. 5) The Pigak in the Koryo Dynasty must have been located inside the palace as the Piko in the Sung Dynasty in China was.

소량의 기포를 함유한 이상유체 내에서의 압력파의 전파현상 (Pressure Wave Propagation Phenomena in Water Containing Uniformly Distributed Gas Bubbles)

  • 기포 혼합 유체 내에서의 압력파의 전파 현상을 수치해석으로 연구한다. 혼합 유체 영역을 지배하는 지배 방정식을 heuristic 한 방법으로 유도하고 기포 내부 영역에는 열전달 효과를 고려할 수 있도록 에너지 방정식을 도입한다. 기포 내부의 비등온 조건은 특히 기포가 고진폭을 가지고 진동할 때 매우 중요하다. 기포 역학 방정식으로서 Keller 방정식이 채택, 변형되어 기포 외부와 내부의 coupling을 맺어준다. 실제 문제로서 충격관내 충격파의 전파 현상을 수치해석 방법으로 해석한 결과가 Noordzij 및 van Wijngaarden 의 실험 결과와 거의 일치한다. 그러나 그들에 의해 설명된 충격파 구조의 변화 원인은 가스와 액체 간의 상대 운동인데 이는 본 모델에서 고려되지 않았기 때문에 가스와 액체 간의 열전달에 의해 충격파의 구조가 변화된다고 보는 것이 타당하다.

  • 본 논문은 위성을 발사장까지 안전하게 운반하기 위해, 열이나 외부 온도가 심하게 변화하는 조건에서 위성 컨테이너 내부 온도를 일정하게 유지할 수 있도록 컨테이너 벽면 및 경계층 단열 설계 방법을 제시하고 위성 운반용 컨테이너 외부 환경에 대한 열 유동 해석 및 위성 내부 열 전달 해석을 통해 위성 컨테이너 내부 온도가 일정하게 유지되는지 분석하였다. 컨테이너 내부 유동 해석을 통해 컨테이너 내 위성 주변의 유동이 원활 한지 유동 분포를 확인하였으며, 보조 팬 및 공조시스템과 특별한 그릴 가이드 구조 설계 안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 정보기술 발전과 수요자의 정보 요구 증대에 따른 위험요소 증가에 대비하기 위해서 조직 내에서는 정보기술 자원의 무결성, 가용성, 기밀성에 대한 내 외부의 정보 및 시스템과 데이터에 대한 통제가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 루트로 침입하는 위험을 종합적으로 관리할 수 있는 정보기술위험관리시스템 개발을 위해 필요로 하는 요구기능과 구조를 국내외 사례를 중심으로 조사하고 분석하였다. 그리고 궁극적으로 위험관리 통합프로세스 모델을 설계함으로서 위험 요소에 대해 사전에 대비 할 수 있도록 유도하는데 목적을 두었다.

마이크로 튜브 연소기의 연소특성에 대한 수치해석 연구 (Numerical Study of Combustion Characteristics Inside a Micro-Tube Combustor)

  • Unsteady simulations were performed to investigate the flame structure and the dynamic behavior of a premixed flame exposed to the wall heat loss. A 3-step global reaction mechanism was adopted in this study. Simulations were performed for two tube combustors with inner diameters($d_i$) of 1mm and 4mm. The material of tube combustor was assumed to be a Silicon Nitride($Si_{3}N_4$). The heat loss from the outer tube wall was controlled by adjusting the amount of convective and radiative heat loss. A conical premixed flame could be stabilized inside a tube of $d_i=4mm$. The flame stability inside a tube of $d_i=4mm$ combustor was not much sensitive to the amount of heat loss. In case of a tube of $d_i=1mm$, an oscillating flame was observed in very low heat loss condition and a flame could not be sustained in realistic heat loss condition.

  • 복합재료는 이방성의 특징으로 매우 복잡한 역학거동을 하며, 해석 및 신뢰성 검사에 많은 어려움이 있다. 특히, 기존의 비파괴검사기법으로 내부손상을 검출하는 것은 매우 어려운 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 복합재구조물의 가장 취약한 분야인 충격에 의한 손상이 발생할 경우 효과적인 검출기법을 개발하고, 충격에 따른 내부결함의 정량평가에 ESPI를 활용하였다. 인공결함을 이용하여 ESPI기법의 신뢰성을 확보하고 실제 충격손상 시험편에 대해 적용하여 5%이내의 오차율로 결함을 정량평가하였다.

PCB회로 보드장치내의 안정적 방열설계를 위한 연구 (The stable design of radiant heat inside PCB circuit board device)

  • In this study, the heat flow analysis compatible commercial code CFX 11 was used to develop the structure inside PCB circuit board devices, which could stable radiant heat as well as the cooling device within it. In case of modifying the arrangement of electronic parts on the PCB inside the multi channel temperature measurement board devices, radiant heat effects did not show a rising tendency, whereas the overall temperature went down in case of installing the vents in the outer case of PCB circuit board devices. In terms of installation location, it was the most appropriate to install it on the electronic parts with no heat. Besides, in case of mounting the fan as a cooling device by considering various user environments for multi channel temperature measurement board devices, the radiant heat effects were shown higher than in case of installing the vents, and the middle sections were the most appropriate to its installation location. In case of changing the wind quantity of the fan from its selected installation location, the best radiant heat effects were shown at high speed as expected.
