컴퓨터 비젼을 이용한 파이프 불량 검사시스템 개발 (Development of Pipe Fault Inspection System using Computer Vision)

  • A computer-vision based pipe-inspection algorithm is developed. The algorithm uses the modified Hough transformation and a line-scanning approach to identify the edge line and the radius of the pipe image, from which the eccentricity and dimension of the pipe-end is calculated. Line and circle detection was performed using Laplace operator with input image, which are acquired from the front and side cameras. In order to minimize the memory usage and the processing time, a clustering method with the modified Hough transformation is introduced for line detection. The dimension of inner and outer radius of pipe is calculated by the proposed line-scanning method. The method scans several lines along the X and Y axes, calculating the eccentricity of inner and outer circle, by which pipes with wrong end-shape can be classified and removed.

Distribution of Deposited Carbon in Carbon Brake Disc Made by Pressure-Gradient Chemical Vapor Infiltration

  • The carbon brake discs were manufactured by densification the carbon fiber preform using PG-CVI technology with Propene as a carbon precursor gas and Nitrogen as a carrier gas. The densities of carbon brake discs were tested at different densification time. The results indicate that the densification rate is more rapid before 100 hrs than after 200 hrs. The CTscanning image and the SEM technology were used to observe the inner subtle structure. CT-images show the density distribution in the carbon brake disc clearly. The carbon brake disk made by PG-CVI is not very uniform. There is a density gradient in the bulk. The high-density part in the carbon brake is really located in the friction surface, especially in the part of inner circle. This density distribution is most suitable for the stator disc.

시판 발열의복의 발열성능 평가 (Evaluation for the Heating Performance of the Heated Clothing on Market)

  • To evaluate the heating performance of commercial heated vests, we investigated the thermal images and the temperature between body and vest for three heated vests. We captured infrared thermography by FT-IR Spectrometer to analyzed the heating temperature of the heating elements taken from the vests, and the maximum heating temperature of the vests was compared with thermal image in the room temperature($18^{\circ}C$). In outdoor experiment($-4.7^{\circ}C$), we measured the inner temperature as well as the thermal image of heated vests. Four healthy men participated in this experiment, and the ANOVA and Duncan test was performed for statistical analysis. As the results, the heating temperature range of the heated vests used in this experiment was $32{\sim}42^{\circ}C$, much lower than the displayed temperature range in their specifications, so the exact specification for heating performance of heated clothing was required. In comparisons of the heating performance among the heated vests, we found out that the insulation of clothing is very important to design the heated clothing, because the inner temperature of the vest had good insulation by itself was higher than that of the vest shown higher temperature over $7^{\circ}$ than another vests at the heating temperature.

  • New output voltage control technique based on the simple feedback linearization is proposed. The system states are first divided into fast states and slow states. Then, the control stage is composed of the fast inner current control loop and the slow outer voltage control loop. From the inner loop, the average control is derived by the sliding mode concept and it is inserted into the dynamic equations of the slow states in the outer loop. Applying the feedback linearization technique to the obtained large-signal models of the PWM dc-dc converters, linearized large-signal models are obtained for the slow states. With this technique, the output voltage controller of the PWM dc-dc converters can be designed easily in the global state space and its control performance can also be much improved.

  • The purpose of this study was to research and design stage costumes of Whangjinie focusing on inner image of Whangjinie, present stage costumes of new image. Four steps were taken in order to achieve this purpose. The first step was to investigate the old documents and prior research about literature world of Whangjinie. The second step was to analyze stage costumes of Whangjinie which were worn in opera, movie. The third step was to design and make the stage costumes according to new images Whangjinie which were extracted from above two research results. The new images of Whangjinie are as follows 1. Whangjinie as a kisaeng(professional entertainer) She thirsted for new, materialistic love though she failed in love everytime. 2. Whangjinie as a woman. She had a hard time by feeling an irresistible yearning for lover 3. Whangjinie as a poet. She expressed as a poetry her vanity and loneliness of life. Using above three images, this study designed four new stage costumes of Whangjinie and two designs of them were made really. But this study didn't present historic costume of her age but expressed modern mood in color and form.

세기말 남성패션에 나타난 표상성 (The Representativity Expressed by Men′s Fashion in the End of a Century)

  • With the current of the end of a century and social, economic, political, and cultural turbulence, people take advantage of the various ways to express their stagnation. This study introduces the term representativity and it will explain the men's fashion of the end of a century. On a theoretical basis, the concept of the representativity, image, symbol and imitation which are used as a tool for expression will be examined, and together with this, inner representation and outer representation will be categorized. The inner representation of the men's fashion in the end of a century can be taken for the purpose of connecting the image of masculinity. The image of masculinity is widely spread owing to the mass communication of a consumption-oriented society, so its hard to define that image as one thing specific. Hence, in order to discuss the male gender and mens fashion, New Man phenomenon should be noticed of. 1980's New Man influence has lasted till now. New Man images were largely categorized into two images like New Lad and Iron John after the mid 1990's. Therefore, the image of masculinity is largely classified New lad, who desires success and pursues the hedonistic life style and Iron John, who enjoys thrill and follows economical life style. The image of masculinity has influence on the outer representation how it is imitated and symbolized via many designer's works and street fashion. Two masculinity images are dominant over the men's fashion of the end of a century. One is inhumane and rational corporate power look that stems from symbolization and imitation of New Lad. The other is outdoor casual that originated from the symbolization and imitation of Iron John.

  • The aim of this study is to examine the expression of the meaning of tradition and the archetype of korean image in it in order to find out korean image on reflection of the meaning of tradition. The results are as follows. 1) The nature of tradition illuminates the past, and lights up the present. It cannot be a portrait which enable to have a future prospect and also a cornerstone a tutore pave the way for of the better direction. 2) It's meaning like to say that korean style it self is considered as an expression of tradition. But it korean tradition has a tradition course in a dialectical way, new creation will be possible, 3) The social and cultural aspects change as time goes by through the tendency of society and it's culture we can get some imformation about the inner spirit of human being. The inner spirit of human being is the spirit of our nation so that we can get oringinality from the culture of our nation. 4) On the aspect of idea oganic system must be visualized on the basis of scale whichs accustomed to our emotion. 5) We can also find out the growing tendency that architects are willing to express the typological image as spacial arrangement and ideology of the Korean image to their works recently. It can be defined that it is a progressive tendency for the expression of Korean image in contemporary architecture. This study is needed to have move practical and concrete examination in order to approach more ideologically the expression of the sense of tradition.

한국어 8모음 자동 독화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Speechreading about the Korean 8 Vowels)

  • 본 논문은 한국어 8단모음을 인식하기 위한 효율적인 파라미터의 추출과 자동 독화 시스템의 구축에 관하여 연구한 것이다. 얼굴의 특징들은 다양한 칼라 공간에서 다양한 값으로 표현되는 것을 이용하여 각 표현 값들을 증폭하거나 또는 축소, 대비시켜 얼굴 요소들이 추출되도록 하였다. 눈과 코의 위치, 안쪽 입의 외곽선, 윗입술의 상단, 이의 외곽선을 특징 점으로 찾았으며, 이를 분석하여 안쪽 입의 면적, 안쪽 입의 높이와 폭, 이의 보임 비율 코와 윗입술 상단과의 거리를 파라미터로 사용하였다. 2400개의 영상으로 분석하였고 이 분석을 바탕으로 신경망 시스템을 구축한 후 인식 실험을 하였다. 정상인 5명이 동원되었고, 사람들 사이에 있는 관찰 오차를 정규화를 통하여 수정하였으며 실험하여 파라미터의 유용성 관점에서 좋은 결과를 얻었다.
