싸이폰식 여수토의 진공촉진에 대한 연구 (A Study on Accalerated Vocous Condition in Siphon Spillway)

  • 1. Outline: The flow of the siphon spillway is very intricate and affected by vacuous condition. It is an intresting problem to make vacuum rapidly in_siphon, i.e, to provoke the perfect siphonaoge with the lowest water-level of overflow. The hydraulic experiments of siphon spillway have practiced at the Masan Lake, Haenam, the province of Junnam and gained rational and economical results which cannot be odtained by calculation. 2. Experiment: The model scale was a half of that of the prototype. 3. Results and discussion: In the experiments of 14 runs, washing, overflow water level, outlet, water level of cushion, phenomenon of water flying and water pressure of every part, etc. were studied. a) The relation of overflow water-level at siphon inlet and deflector When the elevation of the deflector is 10. 65m and the form of deflector O.4m long is the hypotenuse of an $45^{\circ}$ isosceles triangle, the over flow water-level is the minimum, i. e. the siphonage was excellent. There is no effect by the rising of overflow water-Ievel between 11.95m to 1O.65m of deflector elevation (in the first plan, it is 11.05m). But the overflow water-level rises remarkably in the outside region of the above limits. b) The relation of overflow water-level, the length of cushion and standard height of the base. The reduction of the length of cushion brings the rising of overflow waterlevel, and the rising of the standard height of the base brings the rising of overflow water level. For the long cushion length and low standard height of the base, it cannot be expeted to have the falling of overflow water-level. The most satisfactory data were obtained at 5.20m of the base standard height and 6.1m of the length of cushion. The first vah,le planned was 5.70 m and 4.30m.

자갈축열층의 공기유동 및 축열성능 (The Fluid Flow and Heat Storage Performance in Thermal Storage Bed using Gravel)

  • Fossil energy is needed for a whole year greenhouse cropping due to climate in South Korea. Because the most of the fossil energy resources is imported, it is necessary to develop technology to be able to reduce the energy cost in order to manage greenhouse profitably. The greenhouse commonly consume less amount of energy as compared to other industrial sectors. Replacement of fossil fuel with solar thermal storage, therefore, can be an economical as well as environmentally sustainable option for greenhouse heating. The fluid flow, heat storage and radiation characteristic of the gravel bed model were analyzed to provide basic data for design of the experimental solar heated greenhouse with underground thermal storage using gravel. The air flow velocity in the gravel storage bed was proven to be affected from the capacity of circulation fan and the circulation method and the positive pressure method was proven to be the best among the different air circulation methods. The initial air temperature of the thermal storage bed of 1.2 m $wide{\times}9$ m $long{\times}0.9$ m deep was $10^{\circ}C$. After the thermal storage bed is heated by air of the mean temperature $4^{\circ}C$ during 9 hours, the temperature has increased about $20.3^{\circ}C$ and the storage of heat was about 33,000 kcal. The important factors should be taken into consideration for design of the solar heated greenhouse with underground thermal storage using gravel are insulation of rock storage, amount of storing heat, inflow rate and direction of inlet and outlet duct.

연료전지 자동차용 이산화탄소 열펌프 시스템의 성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of a $CO_2$ Heat Pump System for Fuel Cell Vehicles)

  • The global warming potential (GWP) of $CO_2$ refrigerant is 1/1300 times lower than that of R134a. Furthermore, the size and weight of the automotive heat pump system can decrease because $CO_2$ operates at high pressure with significantly higher discharge temperature and larger temperature change. The presented $CO_2$ heat pump system was designed for both cooling and heating in fuel cell vehicles. In this study, the performance characteristics of the heat pump system were analyzed for heating, and results for performance were provided for operating conditions when using recovered heat from the stack coolant. The performance of the heat pump system with heater core was compared with that of the conventional heating system with heater core and that of the heat pump system without heater core, and thus the heat pump system with heater core showed the best performance among the selected heating systems. On the other hand, the heating performance of two different types of coolant/air heat pump systems with heater core was compared each other at various coolant inlet temperatures. Furthermore, to use exhausted thermal energy through the radiator, experiments were carried out by changing the arrangement of a radiator and an outdoor evaporator, and quantified the heating effectiveness.

채널형상과 마하수가 천음속 연소에 미치는 영향에 대한 수치해석적 연구 (A Numerical Study of Channel Shape and Mach Number Effects on Transonic Combustion)

  • 천음속 미교란 모델과 1단계 1차 Arrhenius 화학반응식을 이용하여 반응유체의 압축성 유동에 대하여 연구하였다. 유체 유동은 적은 열방출을 수반하는 희박 예혼합 반응에 국한시켰다. 천음속 연소에 끼치는 채널형상과 채널입구 마하수의 영향 등을 수치해석을 이용하여 조사하였다. 수치결과에서 채널확대는 주어진 채널길이 내에서 화학반응을 증가시키고 있음에 반하여 채널수축은 출구 근처에서 화학반응을 억제시키고 있음을 보여주고 있다. 확대형 채널 내에서 입구유동 마하수 증가는 고정된 반응속도에서 유동을 가속시켰으며 불활성 유체 경우에는 나타나지 않는 약한 충격파가 나타났다. 또한 확대형 채널 출구 근처의 압력과 온도를 증가시키고 주어진 채널길이 내에서 반응체의 소비를 도와준다.

다단 마이크로터빈에서 단수 변화에 따른 터빈의 성능에 관한 실험적연구 (An Experimental Study of the Performance Characteristics on a Multi-Stage Micro Turbine with Various Stages)

  • 본 연구에서는 축류형 마이크로터빈의 단 수를 단 단에서부터 최대 6단까지 변경하면서 각 단에서의 공력특성을 측정하였다. 실험에 사용된 마이크로터빈은 터빈입구에서 유량계수가 2.0, 부하계수가 3.25이며 유로의 평균직경이 25.8mm인 소형 축류형 다단터빈이 적용되었다. 정익과 동익의 솔리디티는 0.67~0.75 범위의 값이 적용되었으며 입구에 일정한 질유량과 전압력으로 조정한 후에 터빈의 부하를 변경하면서 탈설계 영역에서의 공력특성을 측정하였다. 본 실험에서는 단 당 최대 2kW/kg/sec의 비출력이 얻어졌으나 단수의 증가에 따라 비출력의 증가폭은 다소 완화되었으며, 토오크의 경우는 단수가 증가되면서 낮은 회전수 영역에서는 토오크의 증가폭이 일정하나 높은 회전수영역에서는 토오크의 증가폭이 둔화되었다. 블레이드의 높이에 비하여 팁간격의 영향이 크므로 터빈의 효율은 낮으나 단 수의 증가에 따라 증가가 가능하다.

열회수장치에 의한 열회수성능 분석 (Analysis of Heat Exchanging Performance of Heat Recovering Device Attached to Exhaust Gas Duct)

  • 본 연구는 온실 난방시스템의 연소 체임버에 부착된 연소가스 배출연통에 열회수기를 장착하여 배출가스로부터 열을 회수하는 열회수장치의 성능에 대해 실험·분석하였다. 열회수시스템은 LPG 연소 체임버와 두 개의 열회수기로 구성되어있다. 열회수기-A는 배기가스 연통에 직접 연결되어 있으며 열회수기-B는 열회수기-A에 직렬로 연결되어 있다. 회수되는 열량은 가스의 질량흐름율과 두 측점간의 엔탈피 차이로서 산정하였으며 5가지의 송풍전압별로 각 열회수기의 성능을 검토하였다. 각 열회수기의 공기튜브 다발에 공급된 공기와 튜브 다발에 가로질로 통과하는 연소가스간의 열교환, 열회수기 유·출입부간의 압력감소, 열회수기의 총열회수성능 등으로 온실의 연통을 통해 낭비되는 열을 회수하여 연료 절감 효과를 얻을 수 있는 최적의 열회수장치 설계용 기초자료 확보에 본 연구의 목적이 있다.

  • 파랑에 의한 선박의 횡동요를 방지하는 감요장치는 크게 수동식과 능동식 으로 분류할 수 있으며 수동형 감요수조는 선박에서 가장 널리 사용되고 있다. 이 연구에서는 감요장치의 하부덕트유동에 관한 기초연구로서 덕트의 제어 댐퍼와 유입부의 유통에 대해 입자영상 유속측정장치를 이용하여 속도벡터분포에 관한 정량적인 데이터를 확보하였다. 그 결과 실험관 벽면에서 측정 된 압력의 분포는 디스크가 전개 상태인 0 도에서 45도까지는 입구 압력은 일정한 상태로 거의 변화하지 않았으나 약 60도 이상에서부터 압력 상승과 점차 급격한 변동현상이 나타났다.

Simultaneous Biofiltration of H2S, NH3 and Toluene using an Inorganic/Polymeric Composite Carrier

  • Simultaneous removal of ternary gases of $NH_3$, $H_2S$ and toluene in a contaminated air stream was investigated over 180 days in a biofilter. A commercially available inorganic/polymeric composite chip with a large void volume (bed porosity > 0.80) was used as a microbial support. Multiple microorganisms including Nitrosomonas and Nitrobactor for nitrogen removal, Thiobacillus thioparus (ATCC 23645) for $H_2S$ removal and Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 15692), Pseudomonas putida (ATCC 17484) and Pseudomonas putida (ATCC 23973) for toluene removal were used simultaneously. The empty bed residence time (EBRT) ranged from 60 - 120 seconds and the inlet feed concentration was $0.0325\;g/m^3-0.0651\;g/m^3$ for $NH_3$, $0.0636\;g/m^3-0.141\;g/m^3$ for $H_2S$, and $0.0918\;g/m^3-0.383\;g/m^3$ for toluene, respectively. The observed removal efficiency was 2% - 98% for $NH_3$, 2% - 100% for $H^2S$, and 2% - 80% for toluene, respectively. Maximum elimination capacity was about $2.7\;g/m^3$/hr for $NH_3$, > $6.4\;g/m^3$/hr for $H_2S$ and $4.0\;g/m^3$/hr for toluene, respectively. The inorganic/polymeric composite carrier required 40 - 80 days of wetting time for biofilm formation due to the hydrophobic nature of the carrier. Once the surface of the carrier was completely wetted, the microbial activity became stable. During the long-term operation, pressure drop was negligible because the void volume of the carrier was two times higher than the conventional packing materials.

Kalina 사이클의 효율 향상 방안 및 성능 비교 (Improvement of Efficiency of Kalina Cycle and Performance Comparison)

  • In this paper, EP-Kalina cycle applying liquid-vapor ejector and motive pump is newly proposed. In this EP-Kalina cycle, the liquid-vapor ejector is used to increase pressure difference between inlet and outlet of the turbine. Also the motive pump enhances the performance of liquid-vapor ejector, resulting in increase of system efficiency of OTEC cycles. The comparison cycles in this study are basic, Kalina, EKalina and EP-Kalina ones. The pump work, net power, APRe, APRc, TPP and system efficiency of each cycle are compared. In case of net power, EP-Kalina cycle is lowest among the cycles due to the application of the motive pump. But, the net power difference of cycles seems to be minor since the pump work of cycles is merely about 1kW, compared to turbine gross power of 20kW. The system efficiency of EP-Kalina cycle shows 3.22%, relatively 44% higher than that of basic OTEC cycle. Therefore, the system efficiency is increased by applying the liquid-vapor ejector and the motive pump. Additional performance analysis is necessary to optimize the proposed EP-Kalina cycle.

피스톤 오일 냉각 유로의 성능 검증을 위한 리그 시험기 개발 (Rig Tester Development for the Performance Validation of a Piston Oil Cooling Gallery)

  • The operation condition of recently designed pistons for high power and high speed diesel engine become more severe due to the increment of combustion pressure and temperature. So, in order to overcome high temperature, the application of the mono-metal cast aluminum alloy piston featuring an enclosed cast-in open cooling gallery has increased. In this research, it is developed a PCJ (piston cooling jet) rig tester, described the test procedure and validated the performance of sample piston cooling gallery design. Then the test rig will be used for developing the design technology of piston cooling gallery. The test rig is composed with oil reservoir and pumping system, oil jet system, piston fixing and moving system, collecting oil measuring system, and data measuring and recording system. It will be measured collecting efficiencies under conditions of a few piston positions, oil jet pressures and oil viscosities for a piston cooling gallery. Furthermore, the PCJ rig tester will be used for the optimum design of the oil cooling gallery which being applied to increase the cooling efficiency of pistons in diesel engines satisfying the EURO V emission regulation and the more.
