  • 전자 기기의 소형화, 집적화 및 박형화에 따라 인쇄회로기판 제조 시 미세한 회로 패턴이 요구되고 있다. 기존의 인쇄회로기판은 dry film resist를 이용한 photolithography 법을 적용하여 주로 제조하지만, 미세 회로 패턴 구현을 위해서는 정밀한 마스크 설계 및 고가의 노광장비 등이 필요하다는 한계점이 있다. 이에 따라서 최근에는 dry film resist를 대체하여 미세 회로 패턴 형성에 유리한 광경화형 잉크를 직접인쇄 공정을 통해 인쇄회로기판의 회로 패턴을 형성하는 연구들이 관심받고 있다. 광경화형 잉크를 통한 회로 패턴 형성을 위해서는 동박과의 밀착성, 패턴 형성 과정에서의 에칭 저항성, 박리 특성의 제어가 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 광개시제 종류 및 함량이 다른 여러 광경화형 잉크를 제조하고 이들의 광경화 거동을 분석하였다. 또한, 광경화형 에칭 레지스트 잉크로의 적용성 평가를 위해 에칭 저항성, 박리성, 밀착성 등을 분석하였다.

  • The negative pressure distribution curves of the exit of printing nip were obtained by the transducer type tackometer. As the results, found that the elasticity of rubber rollers and pastic viscosity affect to the maximum negative and positive pressure but, the gap of the printing nip didn`t affects to the tack values of ink and ink film thickness. Ink spritting is accured by negative pressure and inks viscoelasticity. And the tack value is affect by properties of the vehicle component in the inks.

  • Commercial conductive metal inks are available, but metals used in these have unsuitable work function for efficient OLED device performance. Metals with low work function tend to oxidize easily, which makes it challenging to develop low work function metal inks. In this research we describe printed low work function Al cathode.

Development of a Microarrayer for DNA Chips

  • Microarrayer is used to make DNA chip and microarray that contain hundreds to thousands of immobilized DNA probes on surface of a microscope slide. This paper shows the develop-ment results for a printing type of microarrayer. It realizes a typical, low-cost and efficient microarrayer for generating low density micro array. The microarrayer is developed by using a prependicular type robot with three axes. It is composed of a computer-controlled three-axes robot and a pen tip assembly. The key component of the arrayer is the print-head containing the tips to immobilize cDNA, genomic DNA or similar biological material on glass surface. The robot is designed to automatically collect probes from two 96-well plates with up to 12 pens at the same time. To prove the performance of the developed microarrayer, we use the general water types of inks such as black, blue and red. The inks are distributed at proper positions of 96 well plates and the three color inks are immobilized on the slide glass under the operation procedure. As the result of the test, we can see that it has sufficient performance for the production of low integrated DNA chip consisted of 96 spots within $1cm^2$ area.

Studies on Printing Inks Containing Poly[2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyl-oxyl)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] as an Emissive Material for the Fabrication of Polymer Light-Emitting Diodes by Inkjet Printing

  • Three solvent systems, chlorobenzene (ink 1), chlorobenzene/o-dichlorobenzene (ink 2) and chlorobenzene/tetrahydronaphthalene (ink 3), were compared as printable inks for the fabrication of polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs) using poly[2-methoxy-5-(2-ethylhexyl-oxyl)-1,4-phenylenevinylene (MEH-PPV) as an emissive material and an inkjet printer (Fujifilm Dimatix DMP-2831). Ink 1 clogged the printer's nozzle and gave non-uniform film. Inks 2 and 3 were used to fabricate PLEDs with ITO/PEDOT:PSS/MEH-PPV/LiF/Al configurations. The best performance (turn-on voltage, 3.5 V; luminance efficiency, 0.17 cd/A; luminance, 1,800 cd/m) was obtained when ink 3 was used to form the emissive layer (thickness, 49 nm), attributable to the better morphology and suitable thickness of the MEH-PPV layer.

난분해성 후렉소잉크 폐수중 유기물 및 색도제거를 위한 철촉매 공기산화 공정의 적용 (Application of Iron-Catalyzed Air Oxidation Process for Organics and Color Removals in Recalcitrance Flexographic Inks Wastewater)

  • The oxidation processes of metal catalysis were practically applied into the flexographic inks wastewater treatment to derive the most effective and economical system among all the processes of iron-salts coagulation, iron-catalyzed air oxidation, and coagulation followed by biological treatment. The iron concentration and pH were optimized as $2.8{\times}10^{-3}mol$ and 5.5~6.0, respectively, for all the oxidation processes. At the optimal reaction conditions, the removal efficiencies of $TCOD_{Mn}$ and Color were as follows for the respective process: i) 75% $TCOD_{Mn}$ and 77% Color removals for iron-salts coagulation, ii) 91% TCODMn and 90% Color removals for iron-catalyzed air oxidation, iii) 74~92% $TCOD_{Mn}$ and 81~90% Color removals for coagulation followed by biological treatment. Based on the economical and technological aspects, iron-catalyzed air oxidation was confirmed as the most effective process in the treatment of industrial wastewater.

  • Last printing market is changing to high-quality color prints for web offset printing. But, color image reproduction based on the relative sheet-ped printing compared to the way, web offset printing are falling. Moreover, it's difficult to maintain the quality of the web offset print. The reason is the worker's decision to rely on. Therefore, the quality of prints was no difference in uniformity and objectivity. We have thought the reason, that the physical properties of inks such as fluidity, viscosity and tack. In addition, varies depending on the physical properties of paper, such as thickness, smoothness, roughness and porosity. Therefore, we studied the properties of ink and paper on the relations between the properties used IGT printability tester. This study of domestic web offset printing inks and papers on the relationship between physical properties and printability were studied. So, to improve printability will be used as the basis resources for web offset printing.

도공액 조성변화와 잉크 물성변화가 인쇄품질에 미치는 영향 (Influence of the Variation of the Coating Color Composition and Characteristics of Inks on the Printability of the Coated Paper)

  • In this study, the influence of the physical properties of ink such as ink dispersity and emulsified amount on the printability of a coated paper was investigated with seven kinds of cyan inks. In addition, two kinds of coating formulations were tested to evaluate the effect of coating structure on the coated paper printability. It was found that the cyan ink with $2{\mu}m$ pigment size had the best dispersibility and hence the ink showed a best ink density on the two kinds of coated papers. When the emulsified ink A with IPA 20 wt% had a lower viscosity than emulsified ink B with IPA 10 wt%, the emulsified ink A showed relatively high value of the ink transfer rate in comparison with emulsified ink B. Despite the high value of ink transfer rate, the coated paper did not show a good printability because those inks with low viscosity due to a strong emulsification were easy to make print mottle on the coated paper.

바인더 단량체 조성 변화에 따른 안료 잉크의 마찰견뢰도 연구 (Investigation on Rubbing Fastness of Pigment Ink with Polymer Binders having Various Comonomer Compositions)

  • To improve rubbing fastness of the printed fabrics, the binder polymers for Digital Textile Printing(DTP) pigment inks were synthesized with miniemulsion polymerization using various acrylic monomers, which are MMA(Methyl methacrylate), BA(Butyl acrylate), and Self-crosslinking monomers, such as NEA(N-Ethylol acrylamide) and MAA (Methacrylic acid). The acrylic monomer compositions were varied when synthesizing the binder polymers and their particle size distributions, average molecular weights, and Tgs were investigated. The prepared binder polymers were applied to prepare Cyan, Black, Yellow and Magenta pigment ink for DTP and the prepared inks were used to dye cotton fabrics. Then, color strength, and rubbing fastness were also investigated to study the effect of the comonomer compositions of the binder polymer on the color strength and rubbing fastness of the resulting pigment inks.
