디지털 윤전 인쇄에서 잉크젯 전용지에 따른 인쇄 적성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Printability according to Ink-Jet Paper of Digital Web-Printing)

  • Nowadays the printing market has shift from 2D(two dimension) industry to 3D(three dimension) industry, along with IT. With rapidly changing market, it's true that the effort to develop the printing materials and upgrade the printing qualities is produced actively in the country. Particularly, the differences in printing materials can often determine the quality of printings in the printability. In the case of the printability of offset, 9 items(paper, ink, order of printing, ink supply, blowing-up halftone, grey balance, key color(base color), overlap efficiency, quality at the halftone dot reproduction etc.) are usually considered as the important factors and used to estimate the printability at abroad. However, in domestic, ink-jet paper is not used for the printing/publishing by ink-jet printing for digital, but done mainly for offset printing. Because the paper of gloss coated type, which is the ink-jet paper, has high price, it's too hard to manufacture massively printing/publishing. Also, in the case of the paper of uncoated type, in spite of its reasonable price rather than the former, the type of uncoated one also has demerit that the ink-jet paper has a clear difference between the front and the back. Therefore, it's tough reality that Ink Jet paper is hardly taken advantage of as the printing/publishing. Thus, what is done in the first to print and/or publish on ink-jet paper is that the front and the back must be printed evenly, and appropriate to the printability of ink-jet. Although there're some kinds of ink-jet paper in the country, it has not been produced in true domestic production yet. In addition, thanks to the brightness of fluorescence brightening agent, the foreign product can offer the good-qualified one-time printing. But when it comes to the printing/publishing, there're difficulties that it may cause the Ocular Fatigue because of long-term exposure of the eyes to text. This research tries to find out the optimum ink-jet paper in domestic for the printing/publishing by studying on the printability of ink-jet on digital web-printing. And it also tries to look for the paper's brightness which can be reduce the possibility to cause the consumers' Ocular Fatigue.

광경화 나노 실리카 잉크의 합성 및 잉크젯 프린팅 적층 특성평가 (Formulation and ink-jet 3D printability of photo curable nano silica ink)

  • 디지털 잉크젯 프린팅 기술은 고해상도, 빠른 인쇄 속도, 높은 잉크 효율과 같은 장점과 함께 다양한 소재 적용이 용이하여 반도체, 디스플레이, 세라믹 타일 등의 산업 분야에서 주목을 받고 있다. 최근에는 전통적인 잉크 소재에서 벗어나 우수한 내열성, 내광성, 내화학성 등을 보이는 기능성 소재도 잉크젯 프린팅 공정에 적용하려는 시도가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 특히 2차원 인쇄뿐만 아니라 3차원 적층인쇄에 관한 연구도 시작되고 있으며 이를 위해서는 토출되는 잉크의 유변학적 물성과 프린트되는 기판과의 상호작용를 제어하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 나노 실리카 입자가 포함된 광경화성 세라믹 잉크를 합성하고 잉크의 물성과 프린팅 기판의 표면특성을 제어하였다. 나노 실리카 입자가 포함된 광경화성 세라믹 잉크의 퍼짐현상을 억제하고 기판과의 접촉각 특성을 개선함으로써 결과적으로 프린팅 해상도 및 적층성을 향상시켰으며 잉크젯 프린팅을 이용한 광경화 나노 실리카 잉크의 3D 프린팅에 대한 가능성을 확인하였다.

수계 세라믹 복합잉크의 유변학적 거동 및 잉크젯 프린팅 특성 (Rheological behavior and ink-jet printing characteristics of aqueous ceramic complex ink)

  • 고온 열처리 후에도 안정적인 발색 효과를 가지는 디지털 4원색(cyan, magenta, yellow, black; CMYK)의 세라믹 잉크를 활용한 세라믹 잉크젯 프린팅 기술은 다양한 제품의 디지털 이미지를 정확하고 빠르게 인쇄 가능하다는 장점을 가지고 건축 및 세라믹 산업 분야에서 기존 공정을 빠르게 대체하고 있다. 세라믹 잉크젯 프린팅 기술은 무기 안료의 분산 안정성과 함께 적절한 점도와 표면 장력을 필요로 하며 기존에는 이러한 요구조건에 부합하는 유기용매 기반의 잉크가 주로 사용되어져 왔으나 최근에는 VOCs가 발생하지 않는 환경친화적인 세라믹 잉크 소재에 대한 관심이 커지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 $CoAl_2O_4$ cyan 발색 무기안료와 alumino boro-silicate 유리 분말을 사용하여 친환경적인 수계 세라믹 복합잉크를 합성하고, 수계 시스템에서의 유변학적 물성과 분산성을 최적화하여 잉크젯 프린팅 공정에서의 토출성 및 프린팅 특성에 대해 연구하였다. 그 결과, 합성된 수계 세라믹 복합잉크는 점도 및 표면장력 조절을 통해 satellite drop이 발생하지 않는 토출 거동을 보였으며, 유리 기판 위에서도 높은 접촉각으로 인해 잉크 퍼짐 현상이 최소화되며 프린팅되는 것을 확인하였다.

Vegetable Oil Esters에 따른 Offset 잉크의 물성 변화에 관한 연구 (The Variation of Offset Ink Properties according to the Vegetable Oil Estersr)

  • According as gradually increasing the demand for eco-friendly at the printing process, it has been progressed fairly development. Especially, the inks are used by soy oil beginning of ink industry for preventing environment, it is possible to make eco-friendly inks with vegetable ester. So it is not necessary to use petroleum-based solvents at all for preventing environment. These eco-friendly inks have a benefits they are able to use the renewable resource. But basically vegetable oils have that reduce the VOC(Volatile Organic Compound) and high viscosity, high solubility properties. So if the vegetable oils use in the ink, set off problem occur on the paper because of slow drying time. In case of vegetable ester, it has similar the molecular weight and kinetic viscosity with hydrocarbon solvent, it is able to control the power of dilution about the resin. So, it has benefit that solve the problem of the existing eco-friendly inks. In this study, different types of ester were made by six types of vegetable oils and used ester in the varnishes and inks properties are comparison with hydrocarbon solvent based ink. By considering the intrinsic properties of vegetable oil, ester used to analyze the changes in ink properties, using ester varnish is applied to study the rheology characteristics and emulsification with inks.

위모트를 이용한 PC 기반 수묵화적 드로잉 시스템 개발 (The Development of PC based Ink-and-wash Drawing System Using Wiimote)

  • 수묵화 드로잉 기술는 일반적으로 붓, 먹 그리고 종이에 대한 모델링과 사용자의 2차원 붓의 움직임, 먹 번짐과 종이 재질에 대한 시뮬레이션으로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 먹의 양과 종이의 흡수력에 대한 계산을 효율적으로 줄이고 자연스러운 수묵화의 표현이 가능하도록 탱크(tank)모델을 단순화 시키고 수묵화의 특징을 농담효과, 번짐효과, 선, 종이의 4가지 분류로 개념화 시켜서 반영하였다. 또한, 위모트의 모션센서와 IR센서를 이용하여 사용자의 움직임에 대한 데이터 값을 붓의 움직임으로 전달하도록 하였다.

PET 인조 스웨이드 적용을 위한 적색 수성 잉크의 제조 및 코팅 특성 연구 (Investigation on the Preparing and Coating Properties of Water-based Red Ink for PET Synthetic Suede)

  • In recent years, the water-based ink have been widely used in various industrial applications due to environmental problems. Dispersibility of the pigment for applications of the water-based ink is the one of the most important technical factors to produce uniform color products. Thus, in this study, the three-roll mill process was used to improve the dispersion of the water-based ink. The results indicated that the three-roll mill reduced the size of pigment particles in the ink more than 50%. In addition, the dispersant showed an important role to maintain the dispersion stability of the pigment in the water-based ink over 120 hours. We also confirmed the optimum contents of the ink stock solution, drying temperature and drying time by the colorimeter and colorfastness tests on produced PET synthetic suedes.

  • This paper was made to evaluate the effect of the type of latex for coating on the printability by investigating the structure of pore such as the pore fraction, the number of pores, pore size and distribution of coated paper. The coated structure is mainly depend on the results of interaction between pigment and binder. It means that the structure of pore formed is chiefly affected by the type of latex. This physical properties of pore have a close relation with ink set-off associated with the drying rate, the speed of penetration of ink into base paper and printing gloss. Therefore it was necessary to find out the relationship between pore structure and the performance of printability by modifying the type of latex to vary the pore structure of coated paper. Acrylic latex was superior to S/B latex in the sedimentation volume, compressibility, smoothness, pore fraction and its number, the weight of transferred ink onto the coated paper and ink repellance. In contrast, water retention and ink setting were not good. in the comparison of anionic and amphoteric latex, amphoteric latex showed better performance in the thickness, smoothness, pore fraction and its number, pore size, the weight of ink transmitted and K&N ink receptivity, etc.

잉크 분산 및 인쇄조건이 인쇄 모틀에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Ink Dispersion and Printing Conditions on Printed Mottle)

  • Printed mottle of coated paper is one of the most common but the most difficult problem in offset printing. Printed mottle is caused by an uneven penetration of Ink into the paper, binder migration, etc. For a high quality printing, development of new paper coating technologies to prevent print mottle is required. So for, the study of solving printed mottle is coated paper absorption controlled by base paper sizing and coating layer binder migration control. As a results, printed mottle has improved in coated paper. But printing is worked by interaction of printing ink, coated paper and printing pressure, then we need to understand of interaction printing work and coated paper. This research focused on a way of improving printed mottle by investigating various printing conditions such as ink dispersion, nip condition and amount of ink transfer using IGT printability tester.

PVC Film 인쇄용 수성 그라비어 잉크에 관한 연구 (A Study on Aqueous Gravure Ink for PVC Film Printing)

  • The drying speed of gravure ink are very fast because of evaporation drying type. The gravure ink are fitly selected variety resin and solvent for a wide range printing are adopted. Moreover, after-manufacture handling is necessary to various purposes. Though composition of gravure ink are same those of another printing ink, the viscosity of it are vary low compare with another printing inks. As property of variety printed matters, improvement of performance of printing layer and suitable after-manufacture handling, the more research of gravure ink are to be continue for development of printing technology. Generally, the gravure ink are made up resin, pigment, solvent and additive. Especially solvent are fitly selected for solution of resin, viscosity, and drying speed. Furthermore, it tis care of bad smell of remaining resin, poison and danger of fire of it. Because of the prevention of air pollution as restriction deflation of solvent, custody of dangerous object and improvement of work environment as labor safety hygiene and fire-low, the environment restriction of printing business become strict. This study has purpose of development of gravure ink of involved 30% below of alcohol is used for PVC film printing.

  • 그라비아 프린팅 공정에서 고해상도의 패턴을 인쇄하기 위해서는 잉크가 기판으로 전사되는 양을 높이는 것이 중요하다. 일반적으로 잉크와 기판의 친화도가 높을수록 더 많은 양의 잉크를 전사시킬 수 있다. 하지만, 실제 산업에서 쓰이는 점탄성 잉크와 다양한 기판의 친화도를 정확히 평가하는 방법은 아직 제시된 바 없다. 본 연구에서는 점탄성 잉크와 다양한 기판의 계면 친화도를 실용적으로 평가할 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
