Nowadays researchers attach a great importance to the problems concerned with scientific information in the field of science and engineering. There are some reasons for it, that is, ⅰ) the amount of scientific information increases in proportion to the activities of scientists and engineers, so it is difficult to pick up a real valuable information ⅱ) it becomes more important to use a variety of information in proportion to the spread ofthe branch of science ⅲ) since the medium of scientific information is mostly technical papers, it is very difficult to mechanically transact these papers and to keep all documents and scientific informations for a long time. To cope with these difficult situations, many technical skills have been developed, for example, data-base, automatic information retrieval, micro-film and so on. But there are comparatively few investigation on the matter how the researchers who are users and producers think about the systematization of scientific information usage, so this paper investigates the thought and information needs of researchers, and proposes a basis of a method for systematization of scientific information usage. The author inspects the actual conditions of scientific information, reconsider the method which has been used and investigates the matter of how researchers whose interest is closely related to the study of marine affairs think about problems of scientific information usage by thequestionarie of Fuzzy-DEMATEL method. Also, FSM which is method for structuring hierarchy for the several complex problems on the basis of fuzzy sets theory is adopted as a tool of analysis. We can understand the key problems and make a story to solve the systematization of scientific information usage from the results of the analysis and those results will be directly applicable to construct a new system for scientific information usage.

This study examined the effect of home informatization on housewives' home management ability. The questionnaires of 338 housewives who have at least one child were analyzed. LISREL 8.5 version program was used to examine the obtained data. As a result, degree of practical usage of information had positive effect on the home management ability directly. Internet use and information communicative machine usage also had affected the home management ability indirectly.

Recently, predicting personality with the help of smartphone usage is become very interesting and attention grabbing topic in the field of research. At present there are some approaches towards detecting a user's personality which uses the smartphones usage data, such as call detail records (CDRs), the usage of short message services (SMSs) and the usage of social networking services application. In this paper, we focus on the predicting user attitude based on MBTI theory by using their smartphone usage data. We used Naïve Bayes and SVM classifier for classifying user personalities by extracting some features from smartphone usage data. From analysis it is observed that, SVM classifier works well as compared to Naïve Bayes.

At the center of the repeating evolution of IT industry, there is mobile computing in the ubiquitous environment, and the increasing usage of smart phones contribute more to its growth. P corporation co-developed with Google and implemented smart work system called SWP for the purpose of 'communication and collaboration with co-workers' beyond the general goal of increasing productivity and comfort of employees. The primary objective of this study is to objectively analyze the influence of the effect factor from end user's perspective and user satisfaction on SWP usage, intention for continuous usage and individual performance. To accomplish this research purpose, this study established research models and hypothesis by collective review about information system success models, and tested the research hypotheses using the structural equation modeling technique by data collected from 320 SWP system users of P corporation. Variations for system satisfaction evaluation standard are 1)SW system usage 2) intention for continuous usage 3) individual performance, effect variations are 1) social factors 2) technical factors 3) combination of social and technical factors. Therefore, this study is about influence factors on success of SWP system and how the factors impact the outcome. The test results of this research model is summarized as follows. Firstly, system user's satisfaction had positive impact on all three; SWP system usage, intention for continuous usage and individual performance. Secondly, social factor 'SWP control system' and technical factor 'information quality' and 'system quality' had positive impact on SWP system user satisfaction, while social factor 'shared value' and technical factor 'service quality' did not have significant effect on user satisfaction. Shared value however, had interactive effect with 'information quality' and 'service quality'. This study is expected to contribute to spread of academic research on smart work system by suggesting a model that can show important factors for corporation while explaining the successful implementation of SWP and its continuous usage.

This study attempted to suggest a strategy for providing rural community tourism information services using smartphones. Study subjects were men and women among 300 who currently use smartphones. Empirical analysis was done on 249 of the 300 subjects. Upon verification of the effect factors of adults' smartphone usage and rural community tourism information services usage, they were both statistically significant based on Ajzen's(1991) Theory of planned behavior. Hence, behavior, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control should be augmented in order to increase smartphone usage behavior to access rural community tourism information services. Especially, behavioral intent and usage behavior was increased proportionately to behavioral control. We suggested that plans to provide applications free of charge and building a social consensus on utilizing rural community tourism information are important in achieving such status.

컴퓨터에서 사용자의 usage정보는 Accounting의 기본 자료가 될 뿐만 아니라 그리드 컴퓨팅과 같은 환경에서도 교환되어지는 중요한 자료이다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 컴퓨팅 시스템으로부터 usage정보를 수집하여 제공하는 시스템을 구축하였다. 이 서버에서의 특징은 정보관리를 위하여 일반적으로 사용하는 DB를 사용하지 않고 XML파일로 처리한 것이다. 이렇게 함으로써 서버는 보다 단순해 질 수 있으며, 개인이나 중소 규모의 전산센터에서도 쉽게 usage정보 제공이 가능해 질 수 있다.

This study focuses on the adoption of Healthcare Information System (HIS) in India's healthcare services, which has led to an increased use of HIS software for managing patient information in hospitals. The study aims to evaluate the factors that influence hospital workers' satisfaction with HIS usage and its impact on their intention to continue in the use of HIS. Primary data was collected through a survey questionnaire from 265 hospital workers. A new framework was developed, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used for analysis. Sensitivity analysis was also conducted on demographic data using an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) approach. The results indicated that all hypotheses were significant (p < 0.05). Effort expectancy was the most significant factor influencing hospital workers' satisfaction (p < 0.01). Sensitivity analysis showed that education (Model-A) and experience in use of HIS (Model-B) were the most important factors. The study contributes by proposing a new theoretical framework and extending the previous research on HIS usage satisfaction. Overall, the study highlights the importance of easiness and usefulness in predicting HIS usage satisfaction.

The study is to investigate which features are perceived by Social Network Service(SNS) users as the most required one to further boost the usage of service, and to examine the perception of these features of SNS sites varies according to their demographic and service usage characteristics. The study also is to suggest a few of research propositions on the relationships between required features of SNS sites and characteristics of SNS users, based on statistical analyses. To accomplish these research purposes, the study defined characteristics of SNS users including demographic(gender, age) and service usage one(start time of service usage, service usage place), and required features of SNS sites(system, service, information, emotion) based on the literature review of SNS. The results show, based on the statistical analyses using survey questionnaire on Korean and Chinese SNS users, that there are differences in perception of required features of SNS sites among the respondents grouped by age, start time of service usage, service usage place. Finally, the study proposed three research propositions, based on the analysis result, that could be used in SNS related researches in the future.

With the increasing popularity of social network services (SNSs), there have been many attempts to analyze the users of SNSs. By doing so, the characteristics and preferences of the users can be understood, which can help companies provide personalized information and services that they need or are relevant for them. This study aimed to analyze the usage behavior of Korean Twitter users from various perspectives to deepen the understanding of it. For this research goal, an online survey was conducted for the users of Twitter and the data about their actual usage were collected using the open API of Twitter. Factor analysis of the data revealed five factors that explain about 69.3% of the usage variables. It was also investigated how the factors are related to gender, age, and brand preferences. The results showed that the usage behavior of Twitter is largely affected by age (p<0.001), and also by gender through an interaction effect (p<0.05). Also, the factors showed significant statistical correlations with the brand preferences of the users.

This paper aims to provide a better understanding about how Information and Communication technology (ICT) has diffused. The investigation is conducted with the consideration of ICT evolution in terms of technological change and usage pattern. The definition used is presented as 'the ICT is a process of convergence of technologies between information-processing and information-transforming technologies, mainly due to the advent of microelectronlcs'. After examining technological changes of ICT, the diffusion path of ICT is traced through the usage ratio in total input and/or investment based on Input-Output tables (I-O). It shows that the evolution of ICT from the change of usage pattern is an up-and-down usage pattern rather than a uni-modal usage time path. With this recognition, the diffusion index is prepared.
