A system on using GIS data to support architectural design (건축설계 지원을 위한 GIS 데이터 활용 시스템)

  • Using geospatial information in the early design phase is crucial because it requires considerable time, money, and effort. We use VWorld, part of the National Spatial Information Distribution system provided by the Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation, for providing geospatial information to building designers. We provide methods to adopt VWorld geospatial information to building design and develop plugins for a BIM authoring tool to transform and construct necessary BIM data in a user-friendly format. BIM users are benefitted from extra design information supplied from sibling disciplines such as urban design. GIS users are benefited by feedback building information continuously supplied from building projects based upon standard GIS coordinates. It is clear that an architectural designer with BIM tool can save time and efforts to obtain the geospatial information related a project using the developed system as result of this research.

  • Fashion is hard to expect owing to the rapid change in accordance with consumer taste and environment, and has a tendency toward variety and individuality. Especially street fashion of 21st century is not being regarded as one of the subcultures but is playing an important role as a fountainhead of fashion trend. Therefore, Searching and analyzing street fashions helps us to understand the popular fashions of the next season and also it is important in understanding the consumer fashion sense and commercial area. So, we need to understand fashion styles quantitatively and qualitatively by providing visual data and dividing images. There are many kinds of data in street fashion information. The purpose of this study is to design and implementation for street fashion information analysis system using data fusion. We can show visual information of customer's viewpoint because the system can analyze the fused data for image data and survey data.

  • In this paper we researched the development methods and design of the Ubiquitous Integrated Information System (u-IIS) that makes efficiently access the experts and various kinds of intellectual and material information of the universities. And u-IIS supports various communication and cooperation tools such as VoIP, Email, Unified Messaging, Instant Messaging, Web Conferencing, Audio/Video Communication etc. We gave our focus to the methods and design that makes it possible to effectively implement the u-IIS with the least costs based on the available databases and infrastructures.

  • The initial process configuration of biometric information system is performed by the same sequences statically and consistently without changing after the system is running. However, this static process configuration appears an inefficient performance to the applications of the mobile biometric information system in the mobile computing environment. This work proposes the dynamic process design and execution method as a way to overcome these inefficient processes.

  • FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis)is a widely used technique to assess or to improve reliability of product not only at early stage of design and development, but at the process and service phase during the product life cycle. In designing a service system, this study proposes a fuzzy service FMEA with the service blueprints as a tool which describes customer actions, onstage contact employees actions, backstage contact employees actions, support processes, and physical evidences, in order to analyse and inform service delivery system design. We fuzzified only two risk factors, occurrence and severity, to more effectively assess the potential failure modes in service. Proposed fuzzy risk grades are applied to Gaussian membership function, defuzzified into Fuzzy Inference System, and eventually identified the ranks on the potential fail points.

  • In this paper, we propose a new scalable and reliable combat system software in battleship which was developed procedurally in the past. Recently, combat system software is required to change frequently due to addition of new equipment and change of function. To solve those problems, this paper propose how to change combat system software into scalable software using class structure change and design pattern. Simulation results show that our scheme provides better performances and reliability than conventional scheme. Therefore proposed scheme can be efficiently used in Naval combat system.

  • Data warehouse(DW) manages all information in a Enterprise and also offers the specific information to users. However, it might be difficult to develope an effective DW system due to varieties in computing facilities, data base, and operating systems. The heterogeneous system environments make it harder to extract data and to provide proper information to usesr in real time. Also commonly occurred is data inconsistency of non-integrated legacy system, which requires an effective and efficient data extraction flow control as well as data cleansing. We design the integrated automatic ETT(Extraction Transformation Transportation) system to control data extraction flow and suggest implementation methodology. Detail analysis and design are given to specify the proposed ETT approach with a real implementation.

  • The major goal of this study is drawing design plan factors considering residents' life cycle and life style when remodeling design is needed. By drawing such design factors, the study will propose an alternative remodeling design plan. Such design method was defined as Multi-Dimensional module design method. And constructing data-system based on Multi-Dimensional module was secondary goal in this study. The details are as follows: Based on analysis of Residents' demand for remodeling and features of emotion-design applied to remodeling, the system which is suitable for application in remodeling design method was conducted. Based on the type of construction materials, the level value was set up according to emotion-factor application. Also, by conducting coding operation according to the distinction of construction materials, this study seeks the unit drawing method of information for constructing emotion-information system.
