Abstract
This paper concerns the development of a IT-based pile design system within the framework of geographic information system(GIS). The system is aimed at expediting a routine pile design works such as determination of pile length and stability analysis of the selected pile. The detailed system development process and functions of sub modules are provided in this paper.
