전장관리체계 전자결재시스템을 위한 역할기반 스토리지 암호화 기법 (A Role-based Storage Encryption for the Electronic Approval System of Battle Management Systems)

  • 전장관리체계의 전자결재시스템은 가용성과 신뢰성이 최우선이기 때문에 서버와 스토리지를 가장 신뢰성 있게 구축하지 위해 SAN(Storage Area Network)을 이용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 전장관리체계 내 전자결재 시스템에서 중요한 군사자료가 저장되는 SAN을 대상으로 보안취약점을 분석하고, 분석된 결과를 바탕으로 가상 공격 시나리오를 작성하여 내부자에 의한 자료 유출이 가능할 수 있음을 실험을 통해 검증한 후, 내부자에 의한 자료 유출 위협을 방지할 수 있는 새로운 개념의 사용자 역할 기반 스토리지 암호화 기법을 제안한다.

  • 홀로그래픽 데이터 저장장치는 높은 데이터 전송률과 저장용량이 매우 크기 때문에 차세대 저장장치 후보 중 하나이다. 하지만 홀로그래픽 데이터 저장장치의 오류요인으로는 인접 페이지간 간섭 및 2차원 인접 심볼간 간섭이 있다. 또한 물리적 영향에 의해 발생되는 연집오류가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 연집오류를 정정하고 성능을 향상시키기 위해 수정된 로그-우도비값과 부가적 정보를 반복적으로 사용하는 방식을 제안한다. 제안하는 LDPC 곱부호는 일반적인 LDPC 부호와 비교하여 BER이 $10^{-5}$일 때, 약 0.5dB 성능 향상을 보였다.

Analysis of Characteristics of Spent Fuels on Long-Term Dry Storage Condition

  • Currently, the interim storage pools of spent fuels in South Korea are expected to become saturated from 2024. It is required to prepare an operation plan of a domestic dry storage facility during a long-term period, with the researches on safety evaluation methods. This study modified the FRAPCON code to predict the spent fuel integrity evaluation such as the axial cladding temperature, the hoop stress and hydrogen distribution in dry storage. The cladding temperature in dry storage was calculated using the COBRA-SFS code with the burnup information which was calculated using the FRAPCON code. The hoop stress was calculated using the ideal gas equation with spent fuel information such as rod internal pressure. Numerical analysis method was used to calculate the degree of hydrogen diffusion according to the hydrogen concentration and temperature distribution during a dry storage period. Before 50 years of dry storage, the cladding temperature and hoop stress decreased rapidly. However, after 50 years, they decreased gradually and the cladding temperature was below 400 K. The initial temperature distribution and hydrogen concentration showed a parabolic line, but hydrogen was transferred by the hydrogen concentration and temperature gradient over time.

DNA 데이터 저장을 위한 DNA 정보 은닉 기법 (DNA Information Hiding Method for DNA Data Storage)

  • DNA 데이터 저장(Data storage)은 DNA의 염기 서열에 대용량의 디지털 데이터를 저장하는 방법으로, 차세대 정보 저장 매개물로 인식되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 DNA 스테가노그라픽 기반으로 비부호 DNA 서열(Noncoding DNA sequence)에 정보를 저장하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 암호화된 데이터들을 정수 변화표에 의하여 데이터 염기 서열로 변환한 후, 시드 정보, 및 섹터 길이로 구성된 은닉 키에 의하여 비부호 염기 서열에 은닉한다. 따라서 단백질의 유전 기능이 유지되고, 원 DNA 서열없이 정보가 검출되며, 변이에 의하여 발생되는 오류가 검출된다. 기존 방법과의 비교 실험을 통하여 제안한 방법이 높은 bpn를 가지는 저장 효율을 가지며, 패리티 염기에 의하여 은닉된 정보의 오류 위치를 검출할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • 현대 사회에서 스토리지를 필요로 하는 애플리케이션이 많아졌다. 그 중에서 특히 핀테크의 발달은 스토리지의 보안 필요성을 크게 증대시켰다. 스토리지에는 사용자의 민감 정보가 저장되어 있는데 이 정보들이 노출되면 사용자들이 금전적인 피해를 입게 된다. 따라서 이러한 사고를 막기 위해 스토리지 암호화를 수행해야 하는데 스토리지 암호화를 수행하는 애플리케이션 중 하나로 EncFS가 있다. EncFS는 IV를 이용하여 암호화를 수행하는데 IV 값은 EncFS 단위 블록마다 유일해야 한다. 하지만 동일한 IV 값이 생성되는 경우들이 존재한다. 이를 이용해 암호화 과정을 조작하여 평문과 암호문 간의 관계를 알 수 있는 취약점이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 해당 취약점이 IND-CPA에 안전하지 않음을 보이고 이를 개선하는 기법을 제안한다.

  • Climate change is considered a severe global problem closely related to carbon storage. However, recent urbanization and land-use changes reduce carbon stocks in terrestrial ecosystems. Recently, the role of protected areas has been emphasized as a countermeasure to the climate change, and protected areas allow the area to continue to serve as a carbon sink due to legal restrictions. This study attempted to expand the scope of these protected areas to an evaluation-based environmental spatial information theme map. In this study, the area of each grade was compared, and the distribution of land cover for each grade was analyzed using the Ecological and Nature Map, Environmental Conservation Value Assessment Map and Urban Ecological Map of Sejong Special Self-Governing City. Based on this, the average carbon storage for each grade was derived using the InVEST Carbon model. As a result of the analysis, the high-grade area of the environmental spatial information generally showed a wide area of the natural area represented by the forest area, and accordingly, the carbon storage amount was evaluated to be high. However, there are differences in the purpose of production, evaluation items, and evaluation methods between each environmental spatial information, there are differences in area, land cover, and carbon storage. Through this study, environmental spatial information based on the evaluation map can be used for land use management in the carbon aspect, and it is expected that a management plan for each grade suitable for the characteristics of each environmental spatial information is required.

Storage Feature-Based Watermarking Algorithm with Coordinate Values Preservation for Vector Line Data

  • Most of current watermarking algorithms for GIS vector data embed copyright information by means of modifying the coordinate values, which will do harm to its quality and accuracy. To preserve the fidelity of vector line data and protect its copyright at the same time, a lossless watermarking algorithm is proposed based on storage feature in this paper. Firstly, the superiority of embedding watermark based on storage feature is demonstrated theoretically and technically. Then, the basic concepts and operations on storage feature have been defined including length and angle of the polyline feature. In the process of embedding watermark, the watermark information is embedded into directions of polyline feature by the quantitative mechanism, while the positions of embedding watermark are determined by the feature length. Hence, the watermark can be extracted by the same geometric features without original data or watermark. Finally, experiments have been conducted to show that coordinate values remain unchanged after embedding watermark. Moreover, experimental results are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.

고속회전 유연디스크의 거동해석과 경험식 (Behavior Analysis and Empirical Relation for a Flexible Disk with High Speed Rotation)

  • Organizations such as broadcasting stations and libraries which deal with huge amount of information require high-capacity storage systems for archiving their materials and information. It is necessary and urgent for the storage people to develop a compact, high capacity, and low-cost data storage systems. Even though the Blue-ray technology is commercialized and now it is on the market, demand for the compact and low-cost system is still increasing. A flexible disk system has been introduced recently to satisfy above mentioned requirements. The system uses multiple of thin disks and is expected to achieve technical requirements. However, decreasing the disk thickness makes it difficult to read and write data because it decreases the disk rigidity so that the transverse vibration of the rotating disk increases easily due to both the interaction with surrounding air and the vibration characteristics of thin flexible disk itself. In this study, flat-type stabilizer is proposed to suppress the transverse vibration of a $95{\mu}m$-thick polycarbonate disk. Characteristics of disk vibration have been studied through the results of numerical analysis from the fluid mechanics point of view. Numerical simulation is verified through the experiment by measuring the gap between the rotating disk and the stationary flat stabilizer. The axial deflections of the disk are computed for various rotating speeds and reference gap sizes and then a method of regression is applied to those data. As a result, an empirical relation is proposed for the steady deformation shape of the rotating disk.

Dynamic Load Balancing and Network Adaptive Virtual Storage Service for Mobile Appliances

  • With the steady growth of mobile technology and applications, demand for more storage in mobile devices has also increased. A lightweight block-level protocol, Internet Advanced Technology Attachment (iATA), has been developed to deliver a cost-effective storage network solution for mobile devices to obtain more storage. This paper seeks to contribute to designing and implementing Load Balancing (LB), Network Monitoring (NM) and Write Replication (WR) modules to improve the protocol's scalability and data availability. LB and NM modules are invoked to collect system resources states and current network status at each associate node (server machine). A dynamic weight factor is calculated based on the collected information and sent to a referral server. The referral server is responsible to analyze and allocate the most ideal node with the least weight to serve the client. With this approach, the client can avoid connecting to a heavily loaded node that may cause delays in subsequent in-band I/O operations. Write replication is applied to the remaining nodes through a WR module by utilizing the Unison file synchronization program. A client initially connected to node IP A for write operations will have no hindrances in executing the relevant read operations at node IP B in new connections. In the worst case scenario of a node crashing, data remain recoverable from other functioning nodes. We have conducted several benchmark tests and our results are evaluated and verified in a later section.

  • Data storage related with writing and retrieving requires high storage capacity, fast transfer rate and less access time in. Today any data storage system can not satisfy these conditions, but holographic data storage system can perform faster data transfer rate because it is a page oriented memory system using volume hologram in writing and retrieving data. System architecture without mechanical actuating pare is possible, so fast data transfer rate and high storage capacity about 1Tb/cm3 can be realized. In this paper, to correct errors of binary data stored in holographic digital data storage system, find cluster centers using clustering algorithm and reduce intensities of pixels around centers. We archive the procedure by two algorithms of C-mean and subtractive clustering, and compare the results of the two algorithms. By using proper clustering algorithm, the intensity profile of data page will be uniform and the better data storage system can be realized.
