Design of Space-Time Trellis Code with Uniform Error Property (균일 오율의 시공간 격자상 부호 설계)

  • The study on the uniform error property of codes has been restricted to additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel, which is generally referred to as geometrical uniformity. In this paper, we extend the uniform error property to space-time codes in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel by directly treating the probability density functions fully describing the transmission channel and the receiver. Moreover, we provide the code construction procedure for the geometrically uniform space-time trellis codes in fast MIMO channels, which consider the distance spectrum. Due to the uniform error property, the complexity of code search is extensively reduced. Such reduction makes it possible to obtain the optimal space-time trellis codes with high order states. Simulation results show that new codes offer a better performance in fast MIMO channels than other known codes.

A Study on Design and Implementation of Hangul-NAVTEX Simulator (한글 NAVTEX시뮬레이터 설계 및 구현에 관한 연구)

  • NAVTEX system is an international automated direct-printing service, broadcast on 5181kHz and 490kHz, for the promulgation of navigational and meteorological warnings and urgent information to ships. With our government's adoption of the international convention for SAR(Search and Rescue) in 1993, various trials for the installation of NAVTEX system have been executed by the government committee, relating laboratory and experts. An important consideration of the installation for NAVTEX system is the availability that could broadcast messages written in korean letter. Also, the receiver which can process the signal demodulated from the two frequencies, 518kHz and 490kHz, should be developed and supplied in domestic. In this paper, the code table and algorithm for conversions between NAVTEX characters and Korean Letters are studied, and signal processing techniques of code conversion are developed. Circuit design and implementation of the NAVTEX simulator using the Direct Digital Synthesizer are discussed, code conversion algorithm and signal processing technique of the NAVTEX transmission are programmed in its circuits. For evaluating the its functional characteristics, receiving module which has I-Q channel structure is designed. From the measurements of simulator, the characteristics show the frequency stability of the $(\pm)2Hz$ and Spurious free dynamic range is -63dBc. And the simulator can generate simultaneously wanted signal and several interfere signals. So, its capability is valuable for designers of the transmitting system and NAVTEX receiver, for provider as testing facilities of the type approval.

Low Complexity Bilateral Search Successive Interference Cancellation for OFDM in Fast Time-Varying Channels (고속 시변 채널 OFDM을 위한 저복잡도 양방향 탐색 순차적 간섭 제거)

  • In this paper, we propose a low complexity bilateral search SIC for OFDM in fast time-varying channels. Due to the possibility of error propagation in SIC, symbol detection ordering within the block of symbols has a significant effect on the overall performance. In this paper, the first symbol to be detected is determined based on CSEP values, and then the next symbol to be detected is selected according to the updated CSEP while bilaterally searching from the boundary of the detected symbol group. Through computer simulations, we show that the proposed method has performance improvements with almost the same computation complexity over the conventional methods in the high SNR region. It has a performance approaching the MFB, known as the performance upper bound, within 2dB at the BER of $10^{-5}$.

MILP-Aided Division Property and Integral Attack on Lightweight Block Cipher PIPO (경량 블록 암호 PIPO의 MILP-Aided 디비전 프로퍼티 분석 및 인테그랄 공격)

  • In this paper, we search integral distinguishers of lightweight block cipher PIPO and propose a key recovery attack on 8-round PIPO-64/128 with the obtained 6-round distinguishers. The lightweight block cipher PIPO proposed in ICISC 2020 is designed to provide the efficient implementation of high-order masking for side-channel attack resistance. In the proposal, various attacks such as differential and linear cryptanalyses were applied to show the sufficient security strength. However, the designers leave integral attack to be conducted and only show that it is unlikely for PIPO to have integral distinguishers longer than 5-round PIPO without further analysis on Division Property. In this paper, we search integral distinguishers of PIPO using a MILP-aided Division Property search method. Our search can show that there exist 6-round integral distinguishers, which is different from what the designers insist. We also consider linear operation on input and output of distinguisher, respectively, and manage to obtain totally 136 6-round integral distinguishers. Finally, we present an 8-round PIPO-64/128 key recovery attack with time complexity 2124.5849 and memory complexity of 293 with four 6-round integral distinguishers among the entire obtained distinguishers.

Anti-Spoofing Method Using Double Peak Detection in the Two-Dimensional C/A Code Search Space (이차원 C/A 코드 검색 공간에서의 이중피크 검출을 이용한 기만신호 대응 기법)

  • In the presence of spoofing signal the GPS signal having the same PRN with the spoofer is hard to be acquired since the power of spoofing signal is usually stronger than that of GPS signal. If a spoofing signal exists for the same PRN, there are double peaks in two-dimensional space of frequency and code phase in acquisition stage. Using double peak information it is possible to detect spoofing signal and acquire GPS information through separate channel tracking. In this paper we introduce an anti-spoofing method using double peak detection, and thus can acquire GPS navigation data after two-channel tracking for the same PRN as the spoofing signal.

Development of CanSat System With 3D Rendering and Real-time Object Detection Functions (3D 렌더링 및 실시간 물체 검출 기능 탑재 캔위성 시스템 개발)

  • This paper deals with the contents of designing and producing reconnaissance hardware and software, and verifying the functions after being installed on the CanSat platform and ground stations. The main reconnaissance mission is largely composed of two things: terrain search that renders the surrounding terrain in 3D using radar, GPS, and IMU sensors, and real-time detection of major objects through optical camera image analysis. In addition, data analysis efficiency was improved through GUI software to enhance the completeness of the CanSat system. Specifically, software that can check terrain information and object detection information in real time at the ground station was produced, and mission failure was prevented through abnormal packet exception processing and system initialization functions. Communication through LTE and AWS server was used as the main channel, and ZigBee was used as the auxiliary channel. The completed CanSat was tested for air fall using a rocket launch method and a drone mount method. In experimental results, the terrain search and object detection performance was excellent, and all the results were processed in real-time and then successfully displayed on the ground station software.

  • The professional duties of librarians and other information workers involve a generalized body of both theoretical and practical knowledge (the so-called, 'common core') which is a n.0, pplicable worldwide without regard to national boundaries, levels of economic and technical development or cultural context. The current study is an attempt to validate and su n.0, pport this common core concept through a detailed examination of its important role in the sound development of library and information science both as a learned subject and as a profession. Following an initial overview of generally agreed upon core areas in the education and training of librarians and information specialists, with particular attention to the manifold social changes rapidly being effected by computers and communication technology, the focus shifts to the proliferation of academic homes for information science education and its implications for core areas in information science. Of note here is the relationship between information science as a broadly accepted social science discipline and the evolving core curriculum in library schools. To this regard the fact that the popularization of computers and communication technology is increasingly blurring the once-sharp differences between traditional librarians and information specialists naturally favors common core concept. Major figures in library and information science education such as Shera, Saracevic and Foskette su n.0, pport this concept and have already identified its theoretical infrastructure. Finally, UNESCO and IFLA are also stressing the common core cure curriculum for library and information science both as guidelines for the Third World and as a means to achieve universally accepted academic standards. In conclusion, the search for a comprehensive common core curriculum in library and information science education is still in the elementary stages. The task of identifying the components of this common core is among the most crucial responsibilities facing today's educators and professionals for the successful elaboration of a common core would enable us to attain three highly desirable professional goals: 1) To determine the basic concepts and principles of library and information science. 2) To serve as the base for further professional education and specialized research. 3) To offer enhanced o n.0, pportunities for integrated library and information science education programs by providing a genuine two-way communication channel between the library and information science professions.

3D sensing and segmentation of microorganism using microfluidic device and digital holography (미세유체소자와 디지털 홀로그래피 기술을 이용한 미생물의 3D 이미징과 세그먼테이션)

  • Microfluidic devices can offer precise control for a verity of tasks involving biological specimen. In this paper, we propose an integrated system consisting of a microfluidic device along with a digital holographic microscope and present three-dimensional (3D) sensing and segmentation of biological microorganisms. When the individual microorganisms are inputted into the microfluidic channel, the holographic microscope records their holograms. The holograms are computationally reconstructed in 3D using Fresnel transform and the reconstructed phase images are used to search the position of microorganisms. Optical experiments are carried out and experimental results are presented to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed system.

  • This paper introduces a new pilot assignment algorithm for uplink Massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems. Since the conventional pilot assignment algorithm has the performance degradation compared to the optimal algorithm which performs the exhaustive search, we propose a new pilot assignment algorithm using Pre-determined Interference and Pre-determined Desired-term techniques. The proposed algorithm has the low complexity and guarantees negligible performance loss compared to the optimal algorithm. Simulation result verifies that the proposed algorithm achieves a large performance gain over the conventional algorithm.

  • This research proposes a personalized mobile web contents creation method that uses web news channel contents-based analysis. It promptly acquires data through the RSS and RSS-linked web pages which have been supplied by the existing web sites for a news search. And then It applies a personalization method using analysis in contents filtering and generation. The proposed method will make creating mobile web contents easier while lowering wireless contents production costs. Moreover, It can be improved a user satisfaction for contents filtering and access with using analysis that fits in with a matter of user's specific interest.
