Nowadays world wide web has been abundunt in quantity. However, the quality decreaed. Due to the much information, we need to select search some key words and review the search results using keywords related search methods in order to obtain information users want. In this paper, we propose the system design of treatise retrieval through metadata reasoning using ontology. In the process of this design, we express a particular treatise information as semantic-based metadata using ontology instead of using simple keywords relationship which has been used conventionally.

최근들어, 인터넷상의 E-business나 쇼핑몰사이트와 같은 웹 사이트에서 멀티미디어 정보를 많이 사용하고 있다. 멀티미디어 정보 중에서도 이미지 정보가 가장 많이 사용되고 있으며, 이는 사용자들이 가장 많이 접하는 정보이다. 기존의 이미지 검색 기법은 내용 기반 검색이나 키워드를 이용한 검색 방법을 지원하지만, 사용자의 의도를 적용하지는 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹에서 사용자가 이미지를 검색하고 접근하는 패턴을 이미지의 칼라와 질감을 특징으로 한 벡터를 기반으로 시스템에 학습 시키고 사용자의 검색 성향을 분석하여 시스템에 적용한다. 이미지 검색의 효율을 높이기 위하여 질감을 기반으로 비트 벡터 인덱스(bit vector index) 기법을 적용하며, 인덱스에 의한 이미지 자동 분류 기법을 제안한다. 또한 이미지 칼라의 정보를 영역별로 추출하여 칼라 부분매칭 검색을 가능하게 한다. 이러한 이미지 검색 시스템을 사용하는 사용자의 정보를 시스템에 학습시키고 학습된 결과를 이용해서 사용자가 검색 하고자 하는 이미지 정보에 편리성을 제공하고 검색의 효율성을 증대시킨다.

We can speak caption as information that can not except caption on sports video. The sports highlight were composed that we recognize captioning. This paper is the necessary work to the middle-step to analysis the caption through the retrieval and discrimination from the position of caption. This paper improve at first and simplify the image through the excellent threshold value algorithm in the preprocessing and then use method that can analysis caption through the multiplex frame merging algorithm. Its speed performing shows up higher and simplier than the region growing process.

대부분의 내용기반 이미지 검색 시스템은 이미지의 특징 벡터인 색상, 모양, 그리고 질감에 의해서 유사한 이미지를 검색하는 기법을 제공하고 있다. 최근 이러한 내용기반 이미지 검색 기술은 의료 영상 이미지와 같은 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있으며, 이에 따라서 의료 이미지를 분석하여 저장, 검색하기 위한 데이터베이스 시스템이 증가하고 있다. 그러나, 대량의 이미지로부터 원하는 이미지를 검색하기 위해서는 이미지의 메타데이타를 효율적으로 표현해야 하며, 의미성과 이미지의 특징 데이터를 통합적으로 저장 관리 할 수 있는 이미지 데이터베이스를 설계하고 구축해야만 한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 내용기반 이미지 검색 기법을 살펴보고. 이미지를 내용기반으로 분류하고 저장할 수 있는 데이터베이스 시스템을 설계하여 효율적인 의미기반 검색을 지원말 수 있는 모델을 제시한다. 다계층 메타데이타 레이어 구조로 이미지에 대한 개념 지식 모델을 표현하고, 이미지내의 객체를 메타데이타로 표현하여 분류할 수 있는 모델을 제안한다. 또한, 이미지 내용검색을 지원하기 위한 시스템 구조를 설계하고, 메타데이타가 저장되기 위한 관계형 모델을 스타 스키마의 형태로 제시한다. 제안된 방법은 의미적인 이미지 내용 검색 방법의 지원에 활용될 수 있다.

This study explores the importance of OSI standards in library environment and specifically of Z39.50/SR information retrival protocols and ILL protocol. Libraries and other information systems need to implement these ap lication protocols in order to facilitate the sharing of library information resources through information networks. The foreign systems which have implemented the standard protocols are reviewed in this paper, and it is suggested that search results of OPACs and other bibliographic databases be directly used for electronic document request for fast document delivery, first by implementing Z39.50 OPACs and standard interlibrary loan systems and next by integrating the two systems in Korean electronic libraries.

Computer-aided logistics support system is recognized an essential system to reduce supply and maintenance cost, and to improve readiness of weapon system or operationable composite machines. According to these trends, this paper focuses on the design scheme and the computerization strategy of information management system for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) work. Suggested system. LAMIS(Logistics support Analysis Management Information System) is a total system that composed of Logistics Support Analysis Management information system (LSAM), Configuration Management Information System (CMIS), Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS), Project Management System (PMS) and Information Retrival System(IRS) etc. Also, LAMIS is a computerized tool that improves current supply and maintenance support program, that attempts to reliable requirment analysis of logistics support elements, and that supports to use the existing technical specification of similar one when weapon system acquisition project is started newly. When LAMIS implication is completed, it can be applied to logistics support of defense or commercial site. Straightway, LAMIS will be enhanced with computer - aided design system, engineering drawing system, interactive electronic technical manual system, electronic data interchange system, and three dimensional simulation system to weapon system configuration. When that is done, LAMIS is CALS system.

The development of a high perfoffilance index system is crucial for the retrieval of information from large sets o[ data. In this study, a minimal perfect hash function (MPHF), which hashes m keys to m buckets with no collisions, is revisited. The MOS algorithm developed bv Heath is modified to be successful for computing MPHFs of large sets of keys Also, a system for generating MPHFs for large sets of keys is developed. This system computed MPHFs for several large sets of data more efficiently than Heath's. The application areas for this system include those for generating MPHFs for the indexing of large and infrequently changing sets of data as well as information stored in a medium whose seek time is very slow.

Priority queues can be used in applications such as scheduling, sorting, retrival based on a priority like gene searching, shortest paths computation. This paper proposes a data structure using array representation for double-ended priority queue in which insertion and deletion takes O(1) amortized time and O(logn) time, respectively. To the author's knowledge, all the published array-based data structures for double ended priority queue support O(logn) time insertion and deletion operations.

This paper reports an expert system for coordination of protective relays in the high voltage transmission system. The proposed system consists of five modules and has adopted the frame and production rule representations achieving the efficient data storage and knowledgebases. It has an interface to the fault program PSS/E and has reduced the data retrival time by implementing the local database containg only the minimum information for the process. Different relay parameters and output formats of the setting results can be easily incorporated owing to the rule-based structure. Graphics-based output helps understanding of the process and enhances the practical power.

Traditional database systems have been used models supported for the operations and relationships based on simple interval. video data models are required in order to provide supporting temporal paradigm, various object operations and temporal operations, efficient retrieval and browsing in video model. As video model is based on object-oriented paradigm, I present entire model structure for video data through the design of metadata which is used of logical schema of video, attribute and operation of object, and inheritance and annotation. by using temporal paradigm through the definition of time point and time interval in object-oriented based model, we can use video information more efficiently by time variation.
