신체이미지와 과시소비성향에 따른 명품구매행동 연구 (The Role of Body Image and Conspicuous Consumption Tendency on Luxury Brand Buying Behaviour)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out if body image and conspicuous consumption tendency influenced luxury brand buying behaviour. A survey questionnaire was used to collect information from 430 females in their 20's. Collected data were subjected to descriptive analysis, factor analysis, and path analysis. Results showed that body image and conspicuous consumption tendency consisted of five factors. In terms of body image, attitude towards changing appearance, attitude towards changing body figure/weight, and interest in health/appearance had a positive effect on conspicuous consumption tendency, which ultimately influenced luxury brand buying behaviour. In contrast, body cathexis and physical self-concept had a negative effect on conspicuous consumption tendency, which also directly influenced luxury brand buying behaviour.

연암터널의 막장 및 무지보 구간의 거동형태에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Behaviour Modes of the Face and Unsupported Span for Weak Rock Tunnel)

  • 굴진장이 터널의 안정성 및 시공비에 미치는 영향에 대해서는 많은 연구자와 기술자들이 잘 알고 있지만, 아직 굴진장 결정에 대해서 일관된 절차가 수립되지는 못한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 굴진장을 고려한 연암터널의 막장과 무지보 구간의 거동형태를 실내모형실험, PFC3D 및 FDM 해석을 통하여 조사하였다. 총 다섯 개의 거동형태를 정의하였고, 막장 안전율과 설계 도표를 통해 거동형태를 정량적으로 판단할 수 있도록 하였다. 비록 본 연구에서 제안한 방법이 몇몇 제한을 갖지만, 굴진장과 굴착의 최적화를 위한 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • 과거에는 품질의 좋고 나쁨의 기준이 정해진 특정 규정(기준)의 충족 여부였지만 최근엔 소비자(고객)의 만족 여부가 해당 제품의 질을 평가하는 기준이 되고 있다. 이는 서비스업의 경우에도 마찬가지이다. 본 연구에서는 의료산업에서의 서비스 품질과 서비스 가치가 고객행동과 어떤 관련성이 있는지와 서비스 관계품질이 서비스품질 및 가치와 고객행동에 어떤 매개역할을 하는지에 대해 실증 연구한 것이다. 컴퓨터 SPSS 패키지에 의해 조사 분석한 결과 의료산업 서비스품질 및 서비스가치는 고객행동과 양의 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났고, 서비스관계품질이 서비스품질 및 가치와 고객행동 간에 매개역할을 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

  • This study aims to explore the casual relation between construction company employees' Self-Leadership and two variables: Organization Citizenship Behaviour and Organizational Trust through Psychology Empowerment. To explain in details, this study examines how the independent variable, Self Leadership, with its behavior-focused, natural reward and constructive thought pattern strategies, affects the dependent variable, Organization Citizenship Behavior and Organizational Trust through the intervening variable, Psychology Empowerment. A survey was conducted on current employees of construction companies in metropolitan areas to empirically examine the research model. The result of study hypothesis on Self-Leadership is as follows; first, Self-Leadership showed a positive effect on Psychology Empowerment, Organization Citizenship Behaviour and Organizational Trust. Second, Psychology Empowerment showed a positive effect on Organization Citizenship Behaviour. Third, Psychology Empowerment showed a positive effect on Organizational Trust. The capacity of individuals is critical when it comes to competitiveness of construction companies. When employees willingly participate in building trust within the company, the work place will become more and more constructive; based on trust, efficiency will increase because people from different processes can work together and performance will also improve even when project managers are absent because others could help their role instead, thus driving more efficient human resource management to the company. To conclude, a company's vision can be spread wide and far when their employees engage themselves in Learning Organization with Self Leadership. They will also be satisfied with their work through improving interpersonal relationship at work.

Determination of slip modulus of cold-formed steel composite members sheathed with plywood structural panels

  • An experimental investigation to study the behaviour of connections between cold-formed steel (CFS) joist and plywood structural panel is presented in this paper. Material testing on CFS and plywood was carried out to assess their mechanical properties and behaviour. Push-out tests were conducted to determine the slip modulus and failure modes of three different shear connection types. The employed shear connectors in the study were; size 14 (6mm diameter) self-drilling screw, M12 coach screw, and M12 nut and bolt. The effective bending stiffness of composite cold-formed steel and plywood T-beam assembly is calculated based on the slip modulus values computed from push-out tests. The effective bending stiffness was increased by 25.5%, 18% and 30.2% for self-drilling screw, coach screw, nut and bolt, respectively, over the stiffness of cold-formed steel joist alone. This finding suggests the potential to enhance the structural performance of composite cold-formed steel and timber flooring system by mobilisation of composite action present between timber sheathing and CFS joist.

Vibration behaviour of cold-formed steel and particleboard composite flooring systems

  • Recently, there has been an increasing demand for buildings that allow rapid assembly of construction elements, have ample open space areas and are flexible in their final intended use. Accordingly, researchers have developed new competitive structures in terms of cost and efficiency, such as cold-formed steel and timber composite floors, to satisfy these requirements. Cold-formed steel and timber composite floors are light floors with relatively high stiffness, which allow for longer spans. As a result, they inherently have lower fundamental natural frequency and lower damping. Therefore, they are likely to undergo unwanted vibrations under the action of human activities such as walking. It is also quite expensive and complex to implement vibration control measures on problematic floors. In this study, a finite element model of a composite floor reported in the literature was developed and validated against four-point bending test results. The validated FE model was then utilised to examine the vibration behaviour of the investigated composite floor. Predictions obtained from the numerical model were compared against predictions from analytical formulas reported in the literature. Finally, the influence of various parameters on the vibration behaviour of the composite floor was studied and discussed.

The Impact of Snapchat and YouTube Influencers on the Consumption Behaviour of Saudi Consumers

  • The emergence of social media platforms has changed the culture of business marketing. Their impact has increased considerably since the emergence of social media influencers or content creators. The phenomenon of social media influencers has been adopted as one of the most effective marketing strategies among global and local organizations. Those celebrities attract business owners, who seek to use them as means to reach a large number of potential consumers. Today, the user bases of Snapchat and YouTube in Saudi Arabia are growing fast and becoming very popular, unlike other social media platforms. Consequently, the impact of these applications' influencers on the purchasing habits of individuals cannot be underestimated. This survey paper intends to investigate the impact of Snapchat and YouTube influencers on the consumption behaviour of Saudi consumers. Results suggest that Snapchat is not only more popular but also more rusted and credible. Moreover, influencers' impact on purchasing behaviour is prevalent and powerful; furthermore, its influence is more effective in persuading Saudi consumers to buy certain products, such as food, than other products, like jewelry.

국내 건축주 분류 및 유형별 태도·행동 조사 - 개인 건축주 대상 연구 보완 - (Classifying Building Industry Clients and Investigating Their Attitude and Behavior - Supplement Research on Individual Clients -)

  • This paper discusses issues faced by individual building industry clients. These form the majority of clients but, because they do not possess high purchasing power, they attract less attention in the industry. Given that key decisions on project definition and procurement strategy are made at the pre-project stage, the industry would benefit from knowing relevant aspects of its clients' attitudes and behaviors, so that it can support them. There is a lack of research on this subject, and so we first describe a theoretical framework and research methodology that were developed for this specific group of clients. Theory adopted from consumer behavioral research was introduced to develop a general behavioral model of individual clients. In this model, individual clients are assumed to seek and then process information after acknowledging normative activities. To validate our model, a field survey was conducted using randomly selected individual clients. Their opinions on the importance and difficulty of 12 normative activities were analysed to establish a general attitude. Information seeking behaviour was investigated by measuring the frequency and type of source that they contacted to conduct the normative activities. The attitudes and information seeking behaviour presented in this research will contribute to the development of project tools for supporting these clients.

  • 서비스 기업의 경우 판매원들은 고객접점에서 활동을 하기 때문에 회사를 대표하는 역할을 수행할 뿐만 아니라 고객의 만족이나 신뢰를 형성하여 장기적인 판매와 수익창출에도 매우 큰 영향을 미친다고 할 수 있다. 판매원들의 판매행위는 다른 직종의 종업원들과 달리 업무의 성격상 많은 윤리적인 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 예를 들면, 단기적인 판매실적이나 수익을 높이기 위해서 고객들에게 강압적인 판매행위를 하는 경우, 제품이나 서비스의 기능이나 성과에 대한 과장을 하는 경우, 심지어는 경쟁업체의 기업이나 제품에 관해서 거짓말을 하는 경우 등의 비윤리적인 행위를 할 수도 있다. 이러한 판매원들이 수행하는 업무의 특성상 고객과의 윤리적인 문제가 발생할 가능성이 높기 때문에 이와 관련된 연구에 대한 관심도 매우 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 고객의 지각된 판매원의 윤리적 행동이 고객만족, 고객신뢰, 고객충성도에 미치는 영향관계에 대해 초점을 두고 있다. 보험서비스 기업들을 대상으로 실증적인 연구를 한 결과, 지각된 윤리적 판매행동이 고객만족, 고객신뢰, 고객충성도 등에 직 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이런 결과를 바탕으로 지각된 윤리적 판매행동은 구매자와 판매자 관계를 유지하고 발전하는데 중요한 영향을 미치기 때문에, 기업의 마케팅 관리자들은 판매원들이 윤리적 상황을 인식하고 적절한 윤리적 반응을 할 수 있도록 회사의 윤리강령의 실천과 윤리교육을 강조하는 판매훈련 프로그램을 개발하는데 노력해야 할 것이다. 그리고 판매원들이 윤리적 판매행동을 할 수 있는 동기부여와 적절한 보상시스템을 개발해야 하지만, 판매원들의 윤리적인 위반사례가 발생한 경우에 위반자에게는 적절한 징계조치를 취하면서 윤리적 판매행위의 중요성을 강조해야 할 것이다.

Patterns of Information Seeking Behaviour of Law Students in Digital Environment: A Study

  • Nowadays the enormous growth of modern information communication technologies and its massive use have influenced information users all over the world. Such a digital environment has drastically changed the information seeking patterns of information users of every community. These also tend law students to use various legal information sources and services in digital environments while seeking information. But there have been few empirical user studies on the aspect of digital information seeking behaviours of law students in either law or library and information science literatures. This paper aims to draw out patterns of information seeking behavior of students of law in digital environments at the University of Dhaka. A stratified random sample survey was conducted for this study. The results show that students prefer the electronic format of information rather than printed format. Major e-resources used by them and the influential factors of use were also identified in this study. This study also identified some crucial problems for seeking information and provides suggestions for the development of electronic legal information systems.
