Study of a prevention model against institutional documentation forgery using blockchain technology (블록체인 기술을 이용한 학교문서위조 예방모델의 연구)

  • Exchanging information with a person without credentials over the Internet does not pose any problems. A decentralized system based on blockchain technology enables the user to exchange new value(currency) with other uncredited users. The blockchain technology creates a new paradigm in which the distribution system can be founded on trust. Various applied distribution systems are being developed based on this paradigm. This study analyzed the problems between an institute's grading system and the central administration system. The limitations of an institute's current central management system were presented through actual cases. To improve the problem, a decentralized system based on block chain technology was presented in order to overcome the fundamental limitations by utilizing blockchain technology, peer-to-peer network, and the distribution system. In the central system, a malicious moderator could create a malicious edit that becomes the cause of a dispute, but in a decentralized system, a problem cannot be created even if there were to be a malicious moderator. However, it is difficult for a single college institute to create a distribution system in order to actualize an effective system. Comparatively, it would be possible to create a decentralized system in which all educational institutes in Korea (elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, colleges) took part in. The application of a decentralized system would improve the public transparency and reliability of educational institutes.

  • The purpose of this research is to present about a series of processes for 3D model generation from scan data of two types of Korean styled architectures, namely, a pavilion and a house, which were acquired with the terrestrial LiDAR and evaluate a 3D surveying method to document digitally the traditional buildings, cultural properties, archeological sites, etc. Since most ancient buildings and cultural assets which require digital documentation by the terrestrial laser scanner usually need to acquire data from multi-directions. Therefore this paper suggested a process of acquiring and integrating data from mult-stations around the object. Also we presented a way for reconstructing automatically at once both the interior and exterior surfaces of buildings from laser scan data.

  • Terrestrial Laser Scanner is widely useful in the cultural heritage documentation, acquisition of three-dimensional spatial information in the field of civil engineering and construction, and the safety monitoring for the inaccessible sites such as a few bridges and landslides. This study deals with the investigation of distance measurement and the performances assesment with waveform clouds-based(TLS).

  • In the recent manufacturing industry almost all sorts of activities tends to be digitized and networked to enhance the comprehensive efficiency of the enterprise. In that sense, enterprise informatization system as well as product information sharing system plays an important role, and those application systems are to be integrated in a smooth manner. In this paper, a prototype of an web-based product information sharing system is developed, which integrates information on technical documentation and parts information together. The prototype also integrates information on the implementation strategies for the enterprise informatization.

  • The article sets forth a problem on international exchange and cooperation In the field of library and information science in the People's Republic of China from engles of academic and publication's exchange, It points out international exchange and cooperation between China and Korea should be developed from international exchange of publications and interlibrary loan to openning up standard, authority and current database on publications step by step. China and Korea should supply the database to all of the world, In order to come up to shared resources, the author has compared the Descriptive Cataloguing Rules for Western Language Materials, and the Bibliographical Description for Monographes with the Korean Cataloguing Rules for Description, and analyzed their different. In the end, the article presents the result that the documentation standardzation is the only way of accomplishing shared resources in the world from indentity of description for publications and materials, and unity of cataloguing rules.

Implementation of Quality Management System for Wild-Simulated Ginseng Using Blockchain

  • A special government agency has been charged with implementing quality management to guarantee the quality of wild-simulated ginseng. However, these processes are carried out by use of documents, and this has resulted in information omission and high document management costs. To solve this problem, this study analyzed the existing quality management process by using a smart contract for the existing offline form and proposed a new quality management system for storing and managing all log data in the blockchain. This system reduced documentation management costs about quality management and recorded information in the previous step through the quality management steps, thus forming a step-by-step record chain. Experiments were conducted by implementing this system, which improved data integrity and reliability. Additionally, sensitive information, such as personal information, was included in the system by use of the off-chain technology.

  • This study attempts to estimate economic benefits in terms of cost sayings and qualitative effects resulting ken implementation of new vehicle maintenance information system. It is widely expected that the effect of new vehicle maintenance information system will be significant in cost savings by information sharing and electronic documentation. To evaluate the economic feasibility of new system implementation, the study conducted seven subsystems case studies on the vehicle maintenance information system of Seoul Metro. Economic benefits are estimated by measuring the time savings, in turn, are calculated into cost savings by multiplying the average wages per hour of employee. The result of case study showed that over the 20 billion Won will be saved owing to new vehicle information system implementation. In conclusion, this study will contribute to the field of practices for the most, in evaluation of the economic benefits resulting from new information system implementation in the railway organization.

  • This study analyzed an operational concept for the D Information Resource Management Information System (DIRMIS) to manage any IT resources effectively in defense area. We first deduced the concept of the information resource management (IRM) for defense area from the literature review, and we suggested a guideline, which has used in defense area, of the documentation for the operational concept description (OCD). Moreover, we developed the operational concept for the DIRMIS following the guideline. Especially, this study is a practical approach for suggesting of a case, and the share of accumulated cases will contribute to advance in System Integration (SI) industry as well as academic research.

  • Information Delivery Manual (IDM) is a documentation format for capturing the information requirements among various AEC project tasks and their software uses. The authors analyzed the structural engineering and analysis domain and were able to define its process model definition and the information flow required for the process by following the methodology stated in the IDM format. The authors believe that The manual has its potentials for further enhancements for IFC-based process integration by transferring it into a information model schema, which can be later referenced by the software applications to automatically determine which data need to be exchanged.

An Analysis of Current State of Grounded Theory Methodology in Korean Information Systems Research with Suggestion of its Application Guidelines (우리나라 정보시스템 연구에서 근거이론방법론 현황 분석과 적용 지침 제시)

  • Purpose The purpose of this study is to analyze the current state of grounded theory methodology in Korea information systems studies and to suggest its application strategies. Design/methodology/approach After reviewing previous studies, this study reviewed 16 papers which adopted grounded theory methodology and analyzed these papers by two ways, research contents and methods adopted from grounded theory methodology: Main characteristics in grounded theory methodology are selected as main criteria in analysis such as data collection method, constant comparison, software use, coding ways, suggested model, proposition suggestion etc., while subject, theory/practice orientation, and role of prior knowledge are included in research contents. Findings Based on the review and analysis, this paper suggested four guidelines for adopting grounded theory methodology to information systems research in Korea: First, division of research methodology into stages. Second, explicit documentation of research process. Third, pursuit of diversity in research topics. Fourth, strengthening scale up and theoretical integration.
