This paper aims to propose a research framework of analyzing voting activities of a national assembly on the basis of member-level voting similarity and provides a case study in the $18^{th}$ national assembly in South Korea. First, we propose a bill contentiousness measure that gives a higher score to bills for which ayes and noes are more diversified in both conservative and progressive parties. Based on the bill contentiousness measure, the top 5%, 10%, and 20% bills were identified and used for further analyses. Moreover, we propose a member-level voting similarity measure that compensates for the lower frequency of noes, and evaluate the pair-wise voting similarities for all lawmakers. Then, voting similarity differences to the affiliated/non-affiliated parties were analyzed for the members in the two major parties according to some internal/external key factors. Finally, similar voting groups were identified and their affiliations were investigated based on the multi-dimensional scaling (MDS) and network analysis techniques. A case study on the $18^{th}$ national assembly of South Korea showed that the cohesion of the members in the 'Hanara' party becomes higher than that of the 'Minju' party as the bill contentiousness increases, whereas the number of elected, local constituency versus proportional representation, and the competition intensity in a local constituency were found to be partially influential to the voting activities of lawmakers. In addition, MDS and network analysis showed that there is a distinctive difference between two parties when all bills are analyzed, whereas the diversity of parties increases in the same group as the bill contentiousness increases.

The purposes of this study were to investigate the clothing attitude of college living in different culture area and to find out the critical factors which have an effect on their attitude. Samples subjected to this study were 774 college students consisted of 368 Korean students living in Seoul, 286 American students and 120 Korean students resident in New York. Clothing attitude was Measured by questionnaires composed of four variables; Clothing Attitude, the aspect of clothing habit, self·esteem and demographic variables. The statistical data were analyzed by t-test, $x^{2}-test$, ANOVA, Duncan multiple range test, Factor analysis, multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows: 1. There was significant difference in all clothing attitude variables except expression of personality and personal satisfaction according to culture area. 2. There was significant difference in factors which have an effect on clothing attitude according to culture area. 2-1) Clothing attitude of Korean students were more affected by self-esteem than that of American students and Korean students resident in N.Y. 2-2) Clothing attitude of Korean students were more affected by sex, grade, major and income than that of American students and Korean students resident in N.Y. 3. The most influential variables on clothing attitudes of college students turned out to be self-esteem and cultural area. Other variables such as sex, major and income had some effect on clothing attitude such as sex, major and income had some effect on clothing attitude. 4. There was significant difference in the aspect of clothing habit according to culture area. 4-1) There was significant difference in all aspect of clothing wearing variables according to culture area; clothing wearing motives, influence by reference group about dress, dress accord- ing to uses. 4-2) There was significant difference in all of clothing buying behavior variables according to culture area; the factor on clothing selection, the place of clothing buying.
The weight of elderly people in Korea has been increasing. Statistics show that the percentage of the elderly people in Korea was 3.1% in 1970; 3.8% in 1980; 5.1% in 1990, and 7.2% in 2000. Based on this trend, thus, the number of elderly people could be estimated to be 14% of the whole Korean population in 2018. This reveals that Korea is entering a super-aging society with remarkable fast pace. In such a change, the statistics related to elderly people driving license and the occurrence of traffic accidents are showing a noticeable numerical value. The number of traffic accident fatality in Korea ranks the highest value in OECD Countries. However, the research on old drivers in the nation is going on partially centering on system improvement and management scheme. Thus, first of all, researches about the linkage & characteristics between the driving behavior of old drivers and traffic accident should be implemented, in order properly to draw system improvement and management scheme for the old drivers. Therefore, the focus of this study is the influence model for discerning the severity of the age-old-caused traffic accidents by inquiring into the relation between the Driving Aptitude Test items that make it possible to measure their behavioral characteristics and influential factors by age group on the basis of the data on traffic accidents. The analysis results can be used as basic data for suggesting the behavioral research and countermeasure for traffic safety and its management for old driver in preparation for the aging society.
Lepomis macrochirus from the family Centrarchidae, commonly known as Bluegill sunfish, is an introduced freshwater fish in Korea that thrives in lakes, ponds, reservoirs and rivers. Since its introduction into Korea in 1969, Lepomis macrochirus has rapidly dispersed out and increased in number almost all over the freshwater ecosystems in Korea. Consequently this species causes a severe ecological problem, threatening native fishes due to its omnivorous foraging behaviors upon fish juveniles and many freshwater invertebrates. To address population genetic structure of L. macrochirus, 74 fish samples from 10 populations were collected and compared for their mitochondrial D-loop control region. As the result we found that the genetic diversity of L. macrochirus is extremely low such as resulting only four haplotypes with a few nucleotide differences among them. Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) revealed that the source of population genetic variation is largely retained in the comparisons among individuals within populations, while it is relatively low with slight significance at the highest hierarchical group. This distribution pattern differs from what is expected when biogeography is under the influence of natural geographic barriers such as mountain ranges in Korea. Instead the result is accord with the influential role of random spreading events facilitated by local people for aquaculture and fishing, and subsequent dispersals since its single point of introduction into Korea.
Country images of Korea and Japan based on economic development, education level, goods' quality, R&D, political democratization and quality of life, perceived by Chinese university students in Beijing, Shanghai and Shandong province of chinese emerging markets as the representative of a potential buying power group, are surveyed, which, then are used to study how the perceived country images effect on their purchasing intention for Korean and Japanese products, such as, foods, cars, fashions, music CDs, electronic products and living goods. The study shows that, in chinese emerging markets, country image affects on the purchase intention of each products differently. The country image of Korea was less influential than that of Japan on the Chines students' purchasing intention for the goods other than the electronic goods. Despite the small number of the sample, this study showed the importance of country image in the in chinese emerging markets and suggested the need for both the government and private sector to take a strategy to enhance the country image by finding the relation between the elements of country image and the intention to purchase certain product.
Bis(diethylamino)aluminum hydride was utilized in a systematic study of the approximate rates and stoichiometry of the reaction of excess reagent with 55 selected organic compounds containing representative functional groups under standardized conditions (THF, $0^{\circ}C$, reagent to compound=4 : 1) in order to define the characteristics of the reagent for selective reductions. The reducing action of BEAH was also compared with that of the parent aluminum hydride. The reducing action of the reagent is quite similar to that of aluminum hydride, but the reducing power is much weaker. Aldehydes and ketones were readily reduced in 1-3 h to the corresponding alcohols. However, unexpectedly, a ready involvement of the double bond in cinnamaldehyde was realized to afford hydrocinnamyl alcohol. The introduction of diethylamino group to the parent aluminum hydride appears not to be appreciably influential in stereoselectivity on the reduction of cyclic ketones. Both p-benzoquinone and anthraquinone utilized 2 equiv of hydride readily without evolution of hydrogen, proceeded cleanly to the 1,4-reduction products. Carboxylic acids and acid chlorides underwent reduction to alcohols slowly, whereas cyclic anhydrides utilized only 2 equiv of hydride slowly to the corresponding hydroxylacids. Especially, benzoic acid with a limiting amount of hydride was reduced to benzaldehyde in a yield of 80%. Esters and lactones were also readily reduced to alcohols. Epoxides examined all reacted slowly to give the ring-opened products. Primary and tertiary amides utilized 1 equiv of hydride fast and further hydride utilization was quite slow. The examination for possibility of achieving a partial reduction to aldehydes was also performed. Among them, benzamide and N,N-dimethylbenzamide gave ca, 90% yields of benzaldehyde. Both the nitriles examined were also slowly reduced to the amines. Unexpectedly, both aliphatic and aromatic nitro compounds proved to be relatively reactive to the reagent. On the other hand, azo- and azoxybenzenes were quite inert to BEAH. Cyclohexanone oxime liberated 1 equiv of hydrogen and utilized 1 equiv of hydride for reduction, corresponding to N-hydroxycyclohexylamine. Pyridine ring compounds were also slowly attacked. Disulfides were readily reduced with hydrogen evolution to the thiols, and dimethyl sulfoxide and diphenyl sulfone were also rapidly reduced to the sulfides.
The Korean Society of Blood Transfusion (KSBT) was established in Seoul in 1982 by a group of physicians of clinical pathology (currently laboratory medicine), internal medicine, paediatrics, anaesthesiology, and surgery, who were members of the Korean Society of Hematology, in which they had been actively engaged as transfusion specialists. However, these physicians were dissatisfied with the lack of public recognition of blood transfusion and the unrealistic blood service system and therefore attempted to build an influential organization for improvement of blood services and transfusion medicine. The mission of the KSBT is to advance the science and practice of transfusion medicine. The KSBT advocates for education and research in the fields of transfusion medicine and for safe blood in blood services. The inaugural KSBT conference, with approximately 50 participants, was held in November, 1982; since then, annual conferences and educational workshops have been held regularly once or twice a year. Currently, the KSBT has approximately 800 members, who are practitioners of blood transfusion (holders of M.D.) or staff members of blood services (holders of other professional degrees). The Society also publishes the Korean Journal of Blood Transfusion (first issue published in 1990) and guidelines for blood services. A Society web site (http://www.transfusion.or.kr) was started in 2001, with the hope of increasingly providing information and feedback to members on a real-time basis. The KSBT has been an active participant in international activities. In 1995, the KSBT hosted the Sixth ISBT Western Pacific Regional Congress in Seoul and will host the $33^{rd}$ ISBT Congress in Seoul in 2014. Since its inauguration, the KSBT has had key roles not only in education and research in the fields of transfusion medicine but also in development of safe-blood services during the last 30 years.

Objectives: This study is aimed to analyze the influential factors on the fear that college students and elderly people feel during the dental treatment and provide basic data needed to develop a plan which can lead them to have a positive perspective on dentistry. Methods: A questionnaire was distributed to 241 outpatients (39 college students, 202 elderly people) visiting dental clinic of 'K' University Hospital in Seoul from January to April, 2013. It was filled in a self-administered manner and collected right away. Results: factor analysis, three factors were configured when the factors with 1.0 or higher of eigenvalue were extracted using 19 questions through which dental fear and anxiety were measured against college students and elderly people. The questionnaires were classified into three categories: Factor I (stimulus response), Factor II (avoidance of the treatment) and Factor III (physiological response which occurs when a patient feels fear). As a result, it was confirmed that the questionnaire tool is highly feasible. In college students, the responses they felt during the dental treatment in the said three factors were as follows: 52.00% in Factor II, 14.14% in Factor II and 6.99% in Factor III (73.129% in total). In elderly people, on the contrary, they were 52.41% in Factor I, 10.57% in Factor II and 7.98% in Factor III (70.958% in total), lower than the college student group. Conclusions: This study is significant in that it confirmed complex relations between dental fear and related variables against college students and elderly people.

With the advent of 5G communications, internet of vehicles technology has been widely used in vehicles. Then the dynamic spread of information between vehicles began to come into focus with more research. It is well known that the identification of nodes with great spread influence has always been a hot topic in the field of information spreading. Most of the existing work measures the propagation influence by degree centrality, betweenness centrality and closeness centrality. In this paper, we will identify influential vehicle nodes based on the mobility characteristics of vehicles to explore the information spreading between vehicles in VANETs. Different from the above methods, we mainly explore the influence of the radius of gyration and vehicle kilometers of travel on information spreading. We use a real vehicle trajectory data to simulate the information transmission process between vehicles based on the susceptible-infected-recovered SIR model. The experimental results show that the influence of information spreading does not enhance with increasing radius of gyration and vehicle kilometers of travel. The fact is that both the radius of gyration and the distance travelled have a significant influence on information spreading when they are close to the median. When the value of both is large or small, it has little influence on information spreading. In view of this results, we can use the radius of gyration and vehicle kilometers of travel to better facilitate the transmission of information between vehicles.
We pursue empirically influential determinants of risk-sharing across various groups in the United States. We consider all the possible combinations out of the eight BEA economic regions and relate the risk-sharing measure for each group to sectoral composition difference under the control of the state-level macroeconomic and financial characteristics. Our results show that more active risk-sharing via cross-ownership market is observed in groups exhibiting more different sectoral composition. The evidence implies that, given other economic and financial conditions equal, economic union tends to share more consumption risk among its members that are more heterogeneous in their sectoral composition. These days, many countries aim to form FTA and other forms of economic integration. We suggest that they should pay attention to sectoral composition for member countries to minimizes income shock in the integrated economy.
