This study attempts to developing an organizational model for industrial information service a n.0, pplicable to industrial su n.0, pporting organization in every industrial sectors. A n.0, ppropriate institutions which provide industrial information would be industrial associations, industrial research and development institutes. The proposed industrial information services could be Kumi Information Center for Industrial Technology (KICIT) and information Center of Machinery and Materials (ICOMM). KICIT has established in cooperation with the Kumi city and Kumoh National University of Technology (KNUT) su n.0, pporting the finance and technology management respectively. ICOMM has established within the framework of the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials. Major activities of ICOMM is to provide local companies with better extension services on technology information.

This study attempts to provide the foundation for a possibility that industrial su n.0, pporting organization can be strong information centers if they fortify their information dissemination activities, along with the basic functions. The following conclusions are resulted from the analysis in the operations of libraries, service methods and their publications of the information activities provided by the industrial su n.0, pporting organizations. First, the organizations have not be acquiring enough information materials. The services for bibliographic information should guarantee the uses of original documents. Second, the number of organizations providing on-line information services has been increasing, but the provided materials are nothing but their own materials produced during performing the basic functions. Third, the speedy information provision and efficient information dissemination for the end-users in the distance may be possible through on-line service, but it requires information analysis function to select the necessary information in our industrial environment. Forth, th information activities provided by the libraries of industrial su n.0, pporting organizations should be fortified.

Especially, MTO(Make-To-Order) companies take collaborative approaches with their partner companies to make low-price products and/or technologically low intensive products. The collaborative approach to manufacturing requires collaboration with partner companies for inventory review, production plan, and manufacturing to fulfill customer's orders. However, frequent changes of partnerships binder partner companies from sharing production information in effective ways since their information systems have different data architectures and platforms. Therefore, it is required flexible and standardized system integration approach fir effective information sharing. This research studies current status and problems of collaborative production system, proposes an architecture for collaborative production systems based on Web Services which is a standard information technology, and discusses expected effects and the vision of Web Services.

Recently, the emergence of smartphone foster the technological convergence. This convergence no longer takes place within technologies only. Rather, convergence phenomena happen as a form of embodied services. However, previous research on convergence has been subject to the technology-oriented studies, including suggesting patent-based indexes or analyzing technological characteristics. However, investigating technology-service convergence is critical since most of new smart services are technology-based convergence services. Therefore, we analyze the pattern of technology-service convergence which occurs in the smartphone application services. We divided the smatphone application services into four categories, and employ a network analysis to represent the convergence phenomena of each category. Our study is expected to provide meaningful implication in new service development practice.

With the rapid growth in the demand and supply of web service, the search for superior services has become a prominent issue. Furthermore, much emphasis and attention are being placed on composite web services, where individual services are combined together to form a single workflow to satisfy the demand of the customers. In today's era of excessive expansion of web services, this study intends to propose the execution plan architecture for composite web services to accomplish the following three goals. The first goal is to derive a feasible plan which maximize user satisfaction for composite web services by implementing an execution plan architecture that reflects the Quality of Service criteria. Secondly, this study also aims at analyzing and selecting the indexes that adequately reflects its quality and its nonfunctional property. Finally, this study intends to apply the concept of constraint satisfaction problem and heuristics to reduce the execution duration of the process.

Demand for new information services is ever increasing as information technology advances in an unprecedented pace. Capabilities of information technology to overcome the time and space limitations enables efficient storage and processing of a large volume of data shared by many users in geographically dispersed areas. As the users ask for more useful information services, it is necessary to develop information services tp meet the needs of users. Enhancing information services is also necessary to cope actively with the pressures to open the information service is also necessary to cope actively with the pressures to open the information and telecommunications market as the level of Korean information services industry is still in its infancy. Value Added Network(VAN) services have a tremendous growth potential and its economic and social impact would be great as the information society matures. This study suggests a direction for the development of value added and new-media services based on the survey of individual and business users of information services.

There are a variety of users and devices in a context-aware computing environment. In this environment, the service provided to a user may be the composition of diverse services rather than one independent service. Before user's devices provide the composite service to the user, they should perceive user's needs by gathering related information segments from other surrounding devices and/or sensors. We consider a context-aware computing environment providing composite and adapted service to users and propose an information processing model that characterizes the device where the collected data should be processed through services and/or applications. Based on this model, we provide an analytical tool to obtain some performance measures of the context-aware computing environment.

Recent development of communication technology and evolution of telecommunications services, various needs of users are giving Telecom operators difficulties in discovering new services and its promotion strategies. In addition, at the launching of new services, if carriers does not consider complementary and substitution relationships with competing services or self-encroachment problem with the existing service profitability is reduced or lost in the current market. In this study, by analyzing usage pattern of telecommunications services respect to changes in supply and demand environment, the complementarity/substitutability analysis and systematic analytical framework is proposed. This study proposes approaches to establish mobile operators' business strategies and to identify new services demand.

This paper presents IPv6, ATM, and IP/ATM security systems for computer network. IPv6 uses authentication header and ESP to provide security services. Authentication header provides integrity and authentication services and ESP provides integrity, authentication and confidentiality services. User plan of ATM provides authentication, integrity, confidentiality and access control services and control plan of ATM provides authentication and integrity services. IP/ATM security services are also presented.
