High-Precision Contour Control by Gaussian Neural Network Controller for Industrial Articulated Robot Arm with Uncertainties

  • Uncertainties are the main reasons of deterioration of contour control of industrial articulated robot arm. In this paper, a high-precision contour control method was proposed to overcome some main uncertainties, such as torque saturation, system delay dynamics, interference between robot links, friction, and so on. Firstly, each considered factor of uncertainties was introduced briefly. Then proper realizable objective trajectory generation was presented to avoid torque saturation from objective trajectory. According to the model of industrial articulated robot arm, construction of Gaussian neural network controller with considering system delay dynamic, interference between robot links and friction was explained in detail. Finally, through the experiment and simulation, the effectiveness of proposed method was verified. Furthermore, based on the results it was shown that the Gaussian neural network controller can be also adapted for the various kinds of friction and high-speed motion of industrial articulated robot arm.

산업용 재봉기를 위한 BLDC 모터의 제어 (BLDC Motor Control for Industrial Sewing Machine)

  • In this paper, we present a BLDC Motor control for needle positioning and velocity control in the industrial sewing machine. In the industrial sewing machine, the fast acceleration control is needed, especially for a person who has a skill in operation of sewing machine for more products. And it is also needed to have a less noise and vibration. But the system which is made in a low price has no feedback system for a current control. Therefore we propose the method of velocity pattern that has an acceleration of velocity and Anti-windup algorithm. By the experiment, we confirmed that these manner have a good performance for low noise, low vibration and fast acceleration in the industrial sewing machine.

Robust control of the directly drived robot via model feedback control system

  • Robot manipulators are highly coupled nonlinear systems and their motions are influenced by uncertain dynamics. In this paper a design methodology which is called model feedback control system or plant model control scheme is presented for the purpose of reducing the influence of the uncertain dynamics. This control system is applied to the trajectly control of the directly drived robot. Theoretically and experimentally performances resulting from use of this control scheme show that the influences of the uncertain dynamics are reduced obviously.

  • Since it has an advantage of possibility to control using experimentally given coefficient, PID Control is the most widely used method of control in the field of industry. However, since PID controller is not able to reflect the inherent characteristics of individual systems, it needs to be accompanied by additional techniques to supplement. Also, it has disadvantage that it is hard to find a satisfactory coeffi cient when the state of the system's dynamic characteristics and static characteristics are different each other. When the dynamic one shows up, it means the state of system shows a great amount of difference from that of desired such as the moment of beginning control or change of desired state. But, if the state of the system comes close to the desired state, the static characteristics shows up in the system. There are many solutions suggested to overcome problems according to the conversion of two examples of motion shown above. This paper is to confirm PID control's integration ingredient windup phenomenon, and experiment through technique of pre vention of windup actually using PLC(Programmable Logic Co ntroller), and to verify the change in characteristics of control.

  • PLC는 산업용 제어시스템에서 널리 사용되고 있으며, 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. PLC에서 사용되는 언어중 SFC는 이산 제어 프로그램에서 순차제어 논리의 기술에 적합한 그래픽 언어이며, SFC로 공정제어 시스템을 구현할 때는 분산제어 구조와 계층제어 구조로 구현하게 된다. 계층제어 구조에서는 서브시스템 간에 동기를 맞추기 위해서 서브시스템은 별도로 구성하고 동기신호만을 주고받게 된다. 그러면 메모리 효율 및 시스템 성능이 좋지 않게 된다. 본 논문에서는 계층제어 구조에서 메모리 효율을 향상시키는 방법을 제안하였고, 실례를 통해 그의 타당성을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 고출력 산업용 로봇을 위한 직류 서보 전동기 제어시스템을 컴퓨터 GUI 환경[11,12]에서 제어 알고리즘을 적용하면서 실험할 수 있는 제어시스템 을 구현하였다. 직류 전동기 정격은 400용량, 1000ppr 광학식 엔코더 및 전자식 브레이크를 부하 변화량으로 채택하였다. 특히, 서보 구동부는 MOSFET 9540 및 540 FET를 사용하여 풀-브리지 방식으로 구동하였다. 서보 제어부는 8비트 PIC16C74 마이크로프로세서, RS-232 통신 포트 및 URD 전류 센서를 채택하였다. PID 방식을 기본으로 부하 변화량에 따는 다양한 계수 설정을 변화시키면서 제어 알고리즘을 적용하였다.

  • Increasing requirements for the high quality of industrial robot performance made the vibration control issue very important because the vibration makes it difficult to achieve quick response of robot motion and may bring mechanical damage to the robot. This paper presents the vibration mechanism of an industrial robot which has flexible joints. The joint flexibility of the robot is modeled as a two-mass system and its dynamic characteristics are analysed. And some characteristics of the two-mass system, especially for the joint of industrial robots, such as disturbance, non-linearity and time-varying characteristics are studied. And finally, some considerations on controller design for the flexible joint of industrial robots are discussed.

  • This study examines the relationship between multiple sales force management practices and performance within each of Miles & Snow (1978)'s strategy types and Walker & Ruekert (1987)'s strategy types. The findings are as follows : First, Prospectors seem to be associated with increased performance when they are utilizing a relationship selling strategy, internal sales force, moderate levels of supervision, outcome-based control system and incentive-oriented compensation system. Second, Analyzers seem to be associated with increased performance when they are utilizing a relationship selling strategy, internal sales force, outcome-based control system to deal with the instability in their strategic focus. Third, Low Cost Defender seem to be associated with increased performance when they are utilizing a relationship selling strategy, external sales force, low levels of supervision, outcome-based control system and salary-oriented compensation system. Fourth, Differentiated Defenders seem to be associated with increased performance when they are utilizing a relationship selling strategy, high levels of supervision, balanced (outcome+behavior) control system and salary-oriented compensation system.

  • In this paper, we present a effective method to control robotic systems by an iterative learning algorithm. This method is based on the concepts of the learning control law which is introduced in this paper, that is, avoidance of using derivative of system state and ignorance of high frequency influence in system performance. By means of the betterment of performance due to the improvement of estimated unknown information, the learning control algorithm compels the system to gradually approach in desired trajectory, and eventually the tracking error asymptotically converges upon zero. In order to verify its utility, one degree of freedom of manipulator has been used in the experiments and the results illustrate this control scheme is very effective.
