In this paper, we proposed verification methods to prove the effectiveness of automatic test equipment (ATE) for weapon systems. Since the test results from the unproven ATE is not reliable and its use is limited as objective data, it is essential to verify the test equipment in order to guarantee the quality level of the unit under test (UUT). Through the suggested methods, it is applied to the ATE of the tactical information communications network (TICN) system to confirm the verification results and to describe the validation results.

For applications that are grid enabled, the grid can offer a resource balancing effect by scheduling grid jobs on machines with low utilization. When jobs communicate with each other, the internet, with storage resources, an advanced scheduler could schedule them to minimize communications traffic or minimize the distance of the communications. We propose an load redistribution algorithm to minimize communication traffic and distance of the communication using genetic algorithm. The experiments show the proposed load redistribution algorithm performs efficiently in the variance of load in grid environments.

Relay-assisted multi-input multi-output (MIMO) technique has become a promising candidate for next generation broadband wireless communications for high speed access. In this paper, we propose channel selective relay-based MIMO transmission system. The performance of relay-based system can be improved by using the subcarriers selectively based on the channel condition between relay and mobile station. Simulation results show that the proposed relay-based system considerably outperforms the conventional relay-based system.

This paper proposes a frame work for embedded system management. The management system can automatically monitor and maintain the Internet connected embedded-systems such as sensor devices, set-top box, web-pad, information appliances, PDA, etc. Users can easily diagnose system state, resolve system problems, maintain and update applications, and back up user information using the management system. We implement prototype for the management system on embedded Linux system and High -available Linux system.

본 논문은 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 시대를 열어가는 유비쿼터스의 핵심 기술인 RFID 시스템의 구성요소 중 하나인 Type B RFID 태그를 설계하였다. RFID 태그는 전원공급 여부에 따라 능동형과 수동형으로 구분한다. 본 논문에서는 현재의 IT분야에서의 RFID 시장과 연구동향에 맞춰 수동형 Type B RFID 태그의 Digital 파트를 설계하고, 성능을 검증하였으며, 향후 RFID 시스템의 연구방향에 대해서도 제시하였다.

In this paper we present work done by Kodak Graphic-Communications-Group and our partners demonstrating applications where laser direct imaging could replace photolithography in display manufacturing. Such applications range from direct manufacturing (e.g. LCD color-filters) to producing “masters” where manufacturing is done by traditional printing methods (e.g. flexography, Gravure-printing).

현대 사회에서 가스 산업은 기반 기순 산업으로 영향력이 매우 커지고 있으며, 동시에 위험요소를 내포하고 있다. 본 논문은 가스밸브의 연결부분에서 폭발성 발화물질인 오일성분에 의한 안전사고를 방지하고자 유지분 검출시스템을 개발하였다. 용기 밸브의 영상을 $200{\times}200$ 크기의 흑백 이미지로 획득하고, 제안한 유지분 검출 알고리즘을 적용한다. 먼저, 영상에 소벨(Sobel) 연산자를 이용하여 에지(Edge)를 검출하고 오일이 존재하는 영상과 오일이 존재하지 않는 영상을 영상프로파일(image profile) 분석과 영상 감법 둥의 검출방법으로 비교 분석하였다. 첫 번째 방법은 영상프로파일기법으로 3가지 영역인 부분영역, 하위영역, 전체영역으로 오일을 삽입한 후 다항식 근사로 오일의 존재여부를 판별하였고, 두 번째는 영상감법으로 밸브의 특정한 위치에 위치조정표시를 한 후 두 영상의 차를 구하였다. 실험에서는 제안한 검출방법의 실용화 가능성을 확인하였다.

As the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution arrives and the culture of contact-less was established due to the long-term COVID-19, the construction industry is striving to develop smart home services to expand the scope of information and communications technology (ICT) to provide convenience to residents. However, various defects are occurring in information and communications technology facilities in apartments, and related research is lacking. In this study, case studies and research methods of related prior studies are analyzed as a basis for identifying the types and causes of defects that occur in information and communications technology facilities. To analyze various studies, we divided them into studies on smart home Internet of Things (IoT), information and communications technology construction of apartments, and investigated their features and limitations. Plus, future research will be conducted on apartments within 10 years of completion among apartments completed by domestic construction companies to supplement the limitations of prior research. In addition, we will prepare basic data on defects of ICT construction by analyzing the major causes of defect types through the analysis of defect types and frequency by detailed work type of information and communications technology construction.

With the rapid growth of video data service, demand to provide advertisements or additional information with regard to a particular video scene is increasing. However, the direct use of automated visual analysis or speech recognition on videos virtually has limitations with current level of technology; the metadata of video such as title, category information, or summary does not reflect the content of continuously changing scenes. This work presents a new video contextual advertising system that serves relevant advertisements on a given scene by leveraging the scene's situation information inferred from video scripts. Experimental results show that the use of situation information extracted from scripts leads to better performance and display of more relevant advertisements to the user.
