  • This paper is an application of Modern control Theory to the control of a current-source inverter (CSI) fed Induction Motor Drive System. A Linear Quadratic-Gaussian (LQG) scheme is developed, in which the Kalman Filter is tuned for high robustness by a method due to Doyle and Stein(8). The design is carried out for a sample system and the robustness by analysis and computer simulation.

  • The paper proposes the artificial neural network(ANN) sensorless control of induction motor drive with adaptive fuzzy logic controller(AFLC). Also, this paper proposes the speed control of induction motor using AFC and estimation of speed using ANN controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The proposed control algorithm is applied to induction motor drive system controlled AFLC and him controller. And this paper is proposed the results to verify the effectiveness of the AFLC and ANN controller.

  • This paper introduces new concept elevator door system with linear induction motor(LIM) featuring simple structured and direct drive mechanism, which makes up for the weak points of the conventional complex structured door system. The optimal configuration of linear door system and the design results of linear LIM will be proposed in this paper and the validation of LIM design results will be investigated through the test. In this study, high performance of drive controller applied vector control and optimum drive pattern also are suggested. In addition, this paper describes details of designing and manufacturing process of linear door system and investigates the performance by analysis and test. The analytical and experimental results of this paper are considered as the productive data for the development of new elevator door system.

  • The propulsion Motor system has changed from the DC motor system to the induction motor system. Although the induction motor system has almost reached the stage of maturity, this system also need changed to the IPMSM system for direct drive without reduction gear. Thus, the IPMSM(Interior buried Permanent magnet synchronous Motor) has been adopted to meet the driving specification.   • On this paper, digitally controlled push-pull dc-dc converter and dc-ac inverter for induction motor control are presented, which is used one DSP(digital signal processor). This system has 12V battery input for the push-pull converter, and the push-pull converter generates 300V output for induction motor inverter input. In order to compensate the push-pull converter, the transfer function of push-pull converter is derived and digital PI compensator is adapted. Through bode diagram, stability of digital controlled push-pull converter is analyzed. To verify the proposed system, digital simulation of the induction motor drive using digital push-pull converter are performed.

  • This paper is proposed maximum torque per ampere of induction motor using fuzzy-neural networks controller. Operation of maximum torque per ampere is achieved when, at a given torque and speed, the slip frequency is adjusted to that so that the stator current amplitude is minimized. This paper introduces a induction motor drive system with fuzzy-neural networks controller. A neural network-based architecture is described for fuzzy logic control. The characteristic rule and their membership function of fuzzy system are represented as the processing nodes in the neural network structure. This paper is proposed the analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

  • This paper is proposed a fuzzy neural network controller based on the vector controlled induction motor drive system. The hybrid combination of fuzzy control and neural network will produce a powerful representation flexibility and numerical processing capability. Also, this paper is proposed estimation and control of speed of induction motor using ANN Controller. The back propagation neural network technique is used to provide a real time adaptive estimation of the motor speed. The error between the desired state variable and the actual one is back-propagated to adjust the rotor speed, so that the actual state variable will coincide with the desired one. The back propagation mechanism is easy to derive and the estimated speed tracks precisely the actual motor speed. This paper is proposed the theoretical analysis as well as the simulation results to verify the effectiveness of the new method.

  • This paper presents an advanced AC drive system used in electric vehicles. The system consists of a drive motor, a PWM transistorized inverter, a PCL-812PG data card, and a controller. This paper describes a design method for RSPWMSS and PID controller. This controller system is implemented on computer and applied to drive motor(induction motor), yielding satisfactory result.

  • This paper presents a implementation of digital motion control system for induction motor vector drives using the 16bit DSP TMS320F240. The DSP controller enable enhanced real time algorithm and cost-effective design of intelligent controllers for induction motors which can be yield enhanced operation, fewer system components, lower system cost, increased efficiency and high performance. The system presented are speed and current sensing, sine look-up table and generated SVPWM by fully integrated control software. The developed system in a implementation are shown a good speed response characteristic results and high performance features. The system can be adapted variform motor drive system.

  • The paper describes a implementation of space vector pulse-width modulation voltage source inverter and interfacing of DSP using field programmable gate array(FPGA) for a induction motor vector control system. The implemented chip is included logic circuits for SVPWM, dead time compensation and speed detection using Quick Logic, QLl6X24B. The maximum operating frequency and delay time can be set to 110MHz and 6 nsec. The designed Application Specific Integrated Circuit(ASIC) for SVPWM can be incorporated with a digital signal processing to provide a simple and effective solution for high performance induction motor drives with a voltage source inverter. Simulation and implementation results are shown to verify the usefulness of ASIC in a motor drive system and power electronics applications.
