HAI 제어기에 의한 유도전동기 드라이브의 고성능 제어 (High Performance of Induction Motor Drive with HAI Controller)

  • This paper is proposed hybrid artificial intelligent(HAI) controller for high performance of induction motor drive. The design..of this algorithm based on fuzzy-neural network(FNN) controller that is implemented using fuzzy control and neural network. This controller uses fuzzy rule as training patterns of a neural network. Also, this controller uses the back-propagation method to adjust the weights between the neurons of neural network in order to minimize the error between the command output and actual output. A model reference adaptive scheme is proposed in which the adaptation mechanism is executed by fuzzy logic based on the error and change of error measured between the motor speed and output of a reference model. The control performance of the adaptive FNN controller is evaluated by analysis for various operating conditions. The results of experiment prove that the proposed control system has strong high performance and robustness to parameter variation, and steady-state accuracy and transient response.

  • In this paper proposes a very simple method to estimate the rotor position of a switched reluctance motor. By on-line estimating the self-inductance of the motor, the rotor position of the SR motor is obtained, and a closed-loop drive system can be achieved. Proposed methods can easy implement to application with sensorless SR motor drive system. Speed 2000rpm SR motor simulation executed with self inductance estimation and result represented. Simulation result verified the rotor position using the proposed self-inductance estimation method.

  • In this paper, conventional PI, fuzzy neural network(FNN) and adaptive teaming mechanism(ALM)-FNN for rotor field oriented controlled(RFOC) induction motor are studied comparatively. The widely used control theory based design of PI family controllers fails to perform satisfactorily under parameter variation nonlinear or load disturbance. In high performance applications, it is useful to automatically extract the complex relation that represent the drive behaviour. The use of learning through example algorithms can be a powerful tool for automatic modelling variable speed drives. They can automatically extract a functional relationship representative of the drive behavior. These methods present some advantages over the classical ones since they do not rely on the precise knowledge of mathematical models and parameters. Comparative study of PI, FNN and ALM-FNN are carried out from various aspects which is dynamic performance, steady-state accuracy, parameter robustness and complementation etc. To have a clear view of the three techniques, a RFOC system based on a three level neutral point clamped inverter-fed induction motor drive is established in this paper. Each of the three control technique: PI, FNN and ALM-FNN, are used in the outer loops for rotor speed. The merit and drawbacks of each method are summarized in the conclusion part, which may a guideline for industry application.

비상 발전기를 이용한 유도전동기의 소프트 기동 시스템 (Soft Start System of Induction Motor using Emergency Generator)

  • In general, in an emergency generator system for an electric facility including an induction motor load, an emergency power generation facility larger than the facility load capacity is built due to the initial starting current of the induction motor. In order to reduce this economic burden, various methods to reduce the inrush current of induction motors are applied to suppress the additional expansion of generators due to the reduction of power generation facilities and the increase in electrical facilities. Among these methods, when a system with a built-in soft start function of an induction motor using an inverter is built, it is the best way to reduce the inrush current of the induction motor to less than the rated current. However, in this case, the installation cost of the inverter to drive the induction motor increases. This paper proposes a soft start method of an induction motor by expanding the frequency and voltage control operation area of an emergency generator. In addition, proposed a speed calculation method based on power factor information, which is essential information for stable soft start of an induction motor, and a method for generating a speed command value of the governor for starting with maximum torque.

  • While the matrix converter has many advantages that include bi-directional power flow, a size reduction, a long lifetime, and sinusoidal input currents, it is vulnerable to the input voltage disturbances, because it directly exchanges the input voltage to the output voltage. So, in this paper, a critical evaluation of the effect of various abnormal voltage conditions like unbalanced power supply, balanced non-sinusoidal power supply, input voltage sags and short time blackout of power supply on matrix converter fed induction motor drives is presented. The operation under various abnormal conditions has been analyzed. For this, a 230V, 250VA three phase to three phase matrix converter (MC) fed induction motor drive prototype is implemented using DSP based controller and tests have been carried out to evaluate and improve the stability of system under typical abnormal conditions. Digital storage oscilloscope & power quality analyzer are used for experimental observations.

  • This paper presents a study on the cycloconverter with a LC resonant circuit for a induction motor drive which keeps the Input displacement factor at 1.0 by controlling real and reactive power independently under any load conditions. The input and the output current waveforms are sinusoid, and consequently Input power factor is nealy 1.0. In this paper, the operating principles of this cycloconverter, the control algorithms, the waveform analyses, and the characteristics of the system are described. The volts/hertz control of the induction motor is experimented, and the reasonability of this proposal is verified.

  • It is important to estimate the rotor speed for field weakening operation in the speed sensorless stator flux oriented (SFO) induction motor drive. Several methods have been reported to estimate exactly the speed in the speed sensorless system. In this paper, we apply two observer-based methods, the Luenberger observer (LO) and the Kalman filter (KF), to SFO induction motor drive in order to achieve a speed sensorless operation in field weakening region. Two control methods are reviewed and discussed. The operation characteristics of these methods in the field weakening region is compared by simulation and experiment.

기진회로를 이용한 사이크로콘버터에 의한 유도전동식 구동 (Cycloconverters with Resonant Circuits for Induction Motor Drives)

  • This paper presents a cycloconverter with an LC resonant circuit for an induction motor drive. The cycloconverter can keep input displacement factor at 1.0 by independently controlling real and reactive power under any load conditions. Furthermore it can keep power factor at about 1.0 since input and output current waveforms are nearly sinusoidal. Since it uses high frequency resonant circuit for commutation source, it can produce an output voltage of hundreds of hertz. Since it is also possible to make a system of high capacity using the cycloconverter, it is appropriate to drive motors with high speed and high capacity as well as general purpose motors, In this paper, we describe the operating principles of the cycloconverter and power control algorithms, and analyze its waveforms and present its characteristics. Expermental results are shown for the volts/hertz control of the induction motor and the validity of the proposed model is verified.

Adaptive Fuzzy Neuro Controller for Speed Control of Induction Motor

  • This paper is proposed the adaptive fuzzy neuro controller(AFNC) for high performance of induction motor drive. The design of this algorithm based on the AFNC that is implemented using fuzzy controller(FC) and neural network(NN). This controller uses fuzzy rule as training patterns of a NN.   • In this paper, the sliding mode variable structure-fuzzy(SMVS-F) control algorithm is applied to speed controller for field oriented induction motor drive system. According to the principle of sliding mode variable structure-fuzzy adjustable speed control scheme, the proposed algorithm shows good performances which are reducing chattering, robustness against parameter variation in induction motor drive. The validity of the proposed control scheme is verified by computer simulation using SIMULINK.
