  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to critically evaluate the quality, reliability and educational content of the information of vital pulp treatment videos available on YouTube. Materials and Methods: The keywords "pulpotomy" and "pulp capping" were searched on YouTube on 5th July 2020, until 60 English language videos of each search term with a duration shorter than 15 minutes were acquired. Video characteristics were recorded and Video Power Index (VPI) was calculated. Reliability and educational quality of videos were evaluated using the Modified DISCERN score, the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) benchmark criteria and Global Quality Scores (GQS). Videos were categorized by uploading source. Results: Regarding pulpotomy, 31.7% of the videos were uploaded by specialists and 68.3% were directed by non-specialists. In the case of pulp capping, the corresponding percentages were 45% and 55%, respectively. Videos uploaded by specialists had significantly higher modified DISCERN, JAMA and GQS scores compared to those uploaded by non-specialists. Endodontists tended to have the highest reliability and VPI scores. Conclusions: YouTube videos on vital pulp treatment contain low educational quality or incomplete information. Low popularity of dental pulp capping and pulpotomy videos may be attributed to the specialized nature of these procedures. As YouTube represents an important source for patient information about different health topics, reliable informative videos should be uploaded by specialized dental professionals.

  • Background : Medical records thought to be reflecting the quality of medicine. By this ground, examination of medical records can be served to evaluate, and to improve the quality of medical care. To examine the medical records, we need some standards or checklists which can be used to sort out the problems. Methods: We developed checklists for medical records evaluation. We studied 1,677 medical records about its completeness using this checklists in one educational hospital. Survey was completed by 5 well trained staffs of medical record department. Results are analyzed. SPSS/PC+ program was used for statistics. Results : 13.8% of discharge summary was incomplete. Recording of the demographic information was also poor in incomplete medical records compared to complete ones. Progress note was recorded average 4.16 times during 11.9 hospital days. After 4th hospital day, recording rate of progress note dropped sharply. Rate of professor's signature on operation records was poor(27%). He or she who described the discharge summary well also wrote progress note well. Conclusions: Fill-up of demographic date should be stressed during medical record education program. Strategy to create the environment emphasizing the responsibility of professor on quality medical record should be made. We suggest new index (number of records/hospital stay) for the evaluation of completeness of progress note.

  • In multimedia fingerprinting field, it is many used a code based on BIBD, which has a strong resiliency of anti-collusion. When a collusion-attack code is generated with a logical XOR operation using the code based on BIBD, then some cases are occurred that a colluded code could be generated to the same fingerprint of non-colluder on the other hand, the colluder is decided to the non-colluder so that he would be excepted in the colluder tracing. For solving the serious problem of the wrong decision of the colluder tracing in this paper, XOR-ACC is implemented using multi-layer perceptron neural network among (AND, OR, XOR and Averaging)-ACC by the measured correlation coefficient. Through the experiment, it confirms that XOR-ACC efficiency of multimedia fingerprinting code{7,3,1} based on BIBD is improved to 88.24% from the conventional 41.18%, so that a ratio of the colluder tracing is also improved to 100% from the conventional 53%. As a result, it could be traced and decided completely a sectional colluder and non-colluder about the collusion attacks.

  • Advances in electronic and computer technologies have paved the way for the proliferation of WSN(wireless sensor networks). Accordingly, necessity of anti-collusion and authentication technology is increasing on the sensor network system. Some of the algorithm developed for the anti-collision sensor network can be easily adopted to wireless sensor network platforms and in the same time they can meet the requirements for sensor networks like: simple parallel distributed computation, distributed storage, data robustness and auto-classification of sensor readings. To achieve security in wireless sensor networks, it is important to be able to establish safely channel among sensor nodes. In this paper, we proposed the USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) channel establishment algorithm for sensor's authentication and anti-collision. Two different data aggregation architectures will be presented, with algorithms which use wavelet filter to establish channels among sensor nodes and BIBD (Balanced Incomplete Block Design) which use anti-collision methods of the sensors. As a result, the proposed algorithm based on BIBD and wavelet filter was made for 98% collision detection rate on the ideal environment.

  • Recently, the distribution and using of the digital multimedia contents are easy by developing the internet application program and related technology. However, the digital signal is easily duplicated and the duplicates have the same quality compare with original digital signal. To solve this problem, there is the multimedia fingerprint which is studied for the protection of copyright. Fingerprinting scheme is a techniques which supports copyright protection to track redistributors of electronic inform on using cryptographic techniques. Only regular user can know the inserted fingerprint data in fingerprinting schemes differ from a symmetric/asymmetric scheme and the scheme guarantee an anonymous before recontributed data. In this paper, we present a new scheme which is the detection of colluded multimedia fingerprint by neural network. This proposed scheme is consists of the anti-collusion code generation and the neural network for the error correction. Anti-collusion code based on BIBD(Balanced Incomplete Block Design) was made 100% collusion code detection rate about the average linear collusion attack, and the hopfield neural network using (n,k)code designing for the error bits correction confirmed that can correct error within 2bits.

  • A tunnel design expert system entitled NESTED is developed using the artificial neural network. The expert system includes three neural network computer models designed for the stability assessment of underground openings and the estimation of correlation between the RMR and Q systems. The expert system consists of the three models and the computerized rock mass classification programs that could be driven under the same user interface. As the structure of the neural network, a multi -layer neural network which adopts an or ror back-propagation learning algorithm is used. To set up its knowledge base from the prior case histories, an engineering database which can control the incomplete and erroneous information by learning process is developed. A series of experiments comparing the results of the neural network with the actual field observations have demonstrated the inferring capabilities of the neural network to identify the possible failure modes and the support timing. The neural network expert system thus complements the incomplete geological data and provides suitable support recommendations for preliminary design of tunnels in rock masses.

  • The exchange rate change has been increased since the time when the floating exchange rate system was introduced in Korea. As a result, the increase of the exchange rate changes raised the risk in international trades in Korea. Also after Bretton Woods System broke down, the increasing exchange rate fluctuation raised the risk in international trade. The purpose of this dissertation is to study whether this incomplete pass-through exists in Korean export industry and furthermore to measure the markup rate of the export price using real data since Global Financial Crisis. The estimation results of the export price determination model by Error Correction Model shows that the export price of Korea has been greatly influenced by the export prices and exchange rates against U.S. Dollar of rival countries, domestic producer price as well as the Korean Won-U.S. Dollar exchange rate and also business coincidence index of U.S. in demand. Particularly, the pass-through rate of Korean Won-U.S. Dollar exchange rate to export price is estimated to be incomplete, which contrasts with the propositions of traditional exchange rate determination approach, e. g. elasticity approach, monetary approach, etc.

  • This study estimated the error involved in the areal average rainfall derived from incomplete radar information due to radar partial coverage of a basin or sub-basin. This study considers the Han-River Basin as an application example for the rainfall observation using the Ganghwa rain radar. Among the total of 20 mid-sized sub-basins of the Han-River Basin evaluated in this study, only five sub-basins are fully covered by the radar and three are totally uncovered. Remaining 12 sub-basins are partially covered by the radar to result in incomplete radar information available. When only partial radar information is available, the sampling error decreases proportional to the size of the radar coverage, which also varies depending on the number of clusters. Conditioned that the total area coverage remains the same, the sampling error decreases as the number of clusters increases. This study estimated the sampling error of the areal average rainfall of partially-covered mid-sized sub-basins of the Han- River Basin, and the results show that the sampling error could be at least several % to maximum tens % depending on the relative coverage area.
