Optimizing protein production in recombinant E. coli strains involves manipulation of genetic and environmental factors. In designing a production system, attention must be paid to gene expression efficiency, culture conditions and bioreactor configuration. Although not much emphasis was given to the physiology of host strains in this review, an understanding of the relationship between the physiology of host cell growth and the overproduction of a cloned gene protein is of primary importance to the improvement of the recombinant fermentation processes. Sometimes it is desirable to make use of gene fusion systems, e.g. protein A, polypeptide, gutathione-S-transferase, or pneumococcal murein hydrolase fusion, to facilitate protein purification.

The improvement of the life standard of the public by the economical growth leads their interests to the leisure activities, so that the demand for resort facilities has been increased. Especially, casino resort facilities in Kangwon-Do has been developed continuously without exact concept of casino resort design. This resort facilities has been planned by indiscreet imitation of foreign examples and non-organized developments and etc. One of the reasons for these problems may be from the lack of the knowledges and researches related to the architectural approaching of these facilities. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic informations for better understanding and improvement of planning and design direction for these facilities through a survey the famous casino resort facilities in Las Vegas. As a result of this research, Las Vegas has been changed tremendously from the casino resort to the resort complex for families with special theme and various facilities.

In this review, we discuss the ways in which our understanding of the controls of nitrogen use efficiency applied to crop improvement has been increased through the development of molecular physiology studies using transgenic plants or mutants with modified capacities for nitrogen uptake, assimilation and recycling. More recently, exploiting crop genetic variability through quantitative trait loci and candidate gene detection has opened new perspectives toward the identification of key structural or regulatory elements involved in the control of nitrogen metabolism for improving crop productivity. All together these studies strongly suggest that in the near future nitrogen use efficiency can be improved both by marker-assisted selection and genetic engineering, thus having the most promise for the practical application of increasing the capacity of a wide range of economically important species to take up and utilize nitrogen more efficiently.

Because of the international marriage of bachelors in the rural areas, there have been grown many foreign residents, the Multi-cultural families. For the improvement of multi-cultural families, the first important thing is their early settlement in Korea. For those foreigners' settlement, systematic approach to Korean education program is necessary. Second, multi-cultural families need support to maintain their basic lives safely. Agricultural education for the next generation is, moreover, also important for them. Third, healthy growth and training for the formation of the Self-Identity of their children are needed for those multi-cultural families too. Education for bring up their children as the global talents, the cost of private education and the one of bringing up children also have to be supported. Fourth, the improvement of understanding multicultural families is significant. Development and education of various programs to participate multi-cultural families are also required.

Six Sigma is one of the most active subjects in quality management. This study deals with some existing weaknesses that may arise in implementing Six Sigma in real world situations. The main weaknesses discussed here include the lack of understanding of cultural aspects on the nations and industries, the poor linkage between quality, finance and accounting from the bottom line point of view, and the difficult development process of metrics for all improvement results to validate the effect of Six Sigma. Finally, the key success characteristics for a good Six Sigma project are presented.

The purpose of this study was to construct the new premarital relationship enrichment program and to examine the effects of it. Based on the review of the previous research and program, this program was composed. It included the realistic expectations of marriage and sex, understanding of themselves and accepting differences, role expectations and intimacy in the relationship, communication and conflict resolution skills. To perform this program, six sessions of time-limited(100-150 minutes) were carried out. And the subjects were assigned to experimental group(N=4 couples) and control group(N=4 couples). Scales of PREPARE and SEI(Self-Esteem Inventory) were used as the pre-post-follow instruments of this study. Major findings were as follows: 1. Premarital Relationship Enrichment Program had meaningful consequences for the improvement of the participants self-esteem. 2. Premarital Relationship Enrichment Program had meaningful consequences for the improvement of the participants equal role, communication and conflict resolution skills.

The suggestions that follow are about the Qualitative Improvement of private security Industrial. First, in legal and institutional policy, new establishment by law for private security and more support from government is asked. Moreover, the restructuring or M&A between petty companies and the pricing for security service should be performed. Second, in the structural aspect of private security industry, the professional education center for private security guards should be established and the terms of payment and welfare should be improved to the level above standard. In addition, it should be achieved to change the public to have a new and correct understanding of private security and develope the specialized parts suited to the characteristic and ability of each companies. Third, the construction of operating system for private security service should be achieved; recruit system for competent security guards, marketing strategy and enforcement system, widely known confidence to client, normal training system for security guards and post management system for client. This is also to be suited to the characteristic of each companies.

The purpose of this paper is to discover how the use of digital applications can affect students' attitudes toward positive classroom participation and performance in learning a foreign language. Participants of this study were 128 students who took a foreign language class at a high school in central Korea. To find out students' perceptions and attitudes toward the effect of using a digital application for their foreign language study, online questionnaire and focus-group interview were conducted. Our research findings revealed that these students could engage in active language learning and experience learning improvement while studying a foreign language with digital applications. The improvement was possible by creating more interactive activities and quizzes. In addition, the digital application provided students immediate feedback. It gave students and teachers various motivations beyond the traditional 'chalk and talk' format of text-only-classes. This study provides an overview of the usefulness of digital application. In addition, it provides understanding for students' perceptions and involvement using digital application in a foreign language classroom.

The research presents a guideline for quality practitioners to provide a full comprehension of differences in theoretical and practical interpretations of assumed sampling errors of and significance probability of calculated p-value. Besides, the study recommends the use of statistical inferences methods with known parameters to identify the improvement effects. In practice, the quality practitioners obtain the known parameters through systematic quality Database (DB) activities.
