정보활용교육을 위한 수행과제 개발 도구에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Developmental Tools of Performance Task for Information Literacy Instruction)

  • 교육에 있어서 평가는 피교육자의 성장과 발달 정도를 확인하고, 교육의 질적 향상을 도모하는 중요한 요소이다. 평가의 방법에는 여러 가지가 있으나 지필시험, 객관식 고사와 같은 전통적인 평가 방식이 갖는 한계를 극복하기 위해서 수행평가가 등장하였다. 수행평가는 피교육자가 과제를 완성한 정도나 상태를 바탕으로 평가하는 방법이다. 정보활용교육은 피교육자의 정보활용능력을 신장하는데 목적이 있으며, 수행평가는 정보활용능력의 상태나 정도를 측정하는데 매우 적합하다. 수행평가를 위해서는 먼저 수행과제가 준비되어 있어야 한다. 그러나 교수자가 수행평가의 요건을 모두 고려하여 수행과제를 개발한다는 것은 쉽지 않다. 이에 본 연구에서는 교수자가 정보활용교육을 전개함에 있어서 수행과제를 쉽게 제작할 수 있도록 수행과제 개발도구를 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 제안한 수행과제 개발 도구는 템플릿 형태를 취하고 있으며, 4단계 즉, 교육목적 및 학습목표, 지식과 기능, 과제 유형, 측정 및 채점기준으로 구성하였다.

Protein subcellular localization classification from multiple subsets of amino acid pair compositions

  • Subcellular localization is a key functional char acteristic of proteins. With the number of sequences entering databanks rapidly increasing, the importance of developing a powerful tool to identify protein subcellular location has become self-evident. In this paper, we introduce a novel method for predic ting protein subcellular locations from protein sequences. The main idea was motivated from the observation that amino acid pair composition data is redundant. By classifying from multiple feature subsets and using many kinds of amino acid pair composition s, we forced the classifiers to make uncorrelated errors. Therefore when we combined the predictors using a voting scheme, the prediction accuracy c ould be improved. Experiment was conducted on several data sets and significant improvement has been achieve d in a jackknife test.

  • Scanning Acoustic Microscope (SAM) is used as an important nondestructive test tool in semiconductor reliability evaluation and failure analysis. However, inspections of chip attach adhesive interface fer thin chip has proven difficulty as the reflected signals from the chip top and bottom are superimposed. In this paper, in order to overcome this difficulty, a new signal processing method based on the deconvolution technique combined with the wavelet transform is proposed. The wavelet transform complements a disability of deconvolution technique of which performance largely decreases when the waveform of target signal is not identical to that of reference signal. Performances of the proposed method are demonstrated by through computer simulations using model signal and experiments for the fabricated semiconductor samples, and satisfactory results are obtained.

A Study on Google Classroom as a Tool for the Development of the Learning Model of College English

  • The aim of this study was to explore the use of Google Classroom as a learning management system for College English. The study targeted 34 university students. They took part in various activities, such as writing reactions to video lectures, peer-editing essays, and recording video presentations, et cetera. For the study, a t-test was conducted to evaluate the English development of the students. The two essays that each student wrote were used as the data sources. The result (t=-5.854, p=.000) indicated an improvement in their English writing proficiency. In addition, a survey was conducted to gather students' feedback regarding their perceptions towards the course. The study covered five aspects of their experience: Google Classroom, language development, Quizlet, classroom experience, and essay-writing experience. From the results, students indicated a positive response to the program. The use of Google Classroom in an online learning setting accomplishes two things; it helped the students in the development of their English proficiency, and provided activities that students find interesting, which in turn stimulates their self-learning spirit.

  • Continuation power flow is a tool that can trace the path of the solution from the base stable solution. However, the base stable solution cannot be calculated when the initial system load is too large to operate at a stable operating point. This case is called as unsolvable case. This paper presents implementation of the optimal load shedding algorithm on continuation power flow. It performs steady-state analysis of power systems at unsolvable case that can occur in contingency analysis. Numerical simulation on 20-bus test system demonstrates that the continuation power flow applying the optimal load shedding algorithm is robust at solvable and unsolvable cases.

  • The computer vision diagnostic approach currently generates several malaria diagnostic tools. It enhances the accessible and straightforward diagnostics that necessary for clinics and health centers in malaria-endemic areas. A new computer malaria diagnostics tool called the malaria scanner was used to investigate living malaria parasites with easy sample preparation, fast and user-friendly. The cultured Plasmodium parasites were used to confirm the sensitivity of this technique then compared to fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) analysis and light microscopic examination. The measured percentage of parasitemia by the malaria scanner revealed higher precision than microscopy and was similar to FACS. The coefficients of variation of this technique were 1.2-6.7% for Plasmodium knowlesi and 0.3-4.8% for P. falciparum. It allowed determining parasitemia levels of 0.1% or higher, with coefficient of variation smaller than 10%. In terms of the precision range of parasitemia, both high and low ranges showed similar precision results. Pearson's correlation test was used to evaluate the correlation data coming from all methods. A strong correlation of measured parasitemia (r2=0.99, P<0.05) was observed between each method. The parasitemia analysis using this new diagnostic tool needs technical improvement, particularly in the differentiation of malaria species.

  • Recently, advanced manufacturing system with high speed and intelligent have been developed for the betterment of machining ability. In this case, reliability prediction work with motion characteristic evaluation of sliding cover has also important roll from design procedure to manufacturing and assembly process. Accordingly in this study, H/W test -bed system for reliability evaluation of sliding cover has been developed to obtain proper reference data for design of new model, and also prevention trouble, quality and life cycle improvement extremely for advanced mother machinary.

2단계 스테레오 정합기법을 이용한 DEM 추정 (DEM Estimation Using Two Stage Stereo Matching Method)

  • A stereo matching has been an important tool for reconstructing three dimensional terrain. By using stereo matching technique, DEM(Digital Elevaton Map) can be generated by the disparity from a reference image to a target image. Generally disparity map can be evaluated by matching the reference image to the target image and if the role of the reference and the target are interchanged, a different DEM can be obtained. In this paper, we propose a new fusion technique to estimate the optimal DEM by eliminating the false DEM due to occlusion. To detect the false DEM, we utilize two measure of accuracy: self-consistency and cross-correlation score. We test the effectiveness of the proposed methods with a quantitative analysis using simulated images. Experimental result indicate that the proposed methods show 24.4% and 33.1% improvement over either DEM.

다구찌 직교배열을 이용한 승용차의 실내소음 분석 및 개선 (Analysis and Improvement of Interior Noise in a Passenger Car using Taguchi Orthogonal Array)

  • The passenger car manufacturer should meet more and more strict requirements of customers on noise and vibration problems. It is proven that the Taguchi method is a powerful tool for improving the product quality in many areas. This paper employs the Taguchi method to reduce low-frequency booming noise in a passenger car. Selection of object function is very important to minimize interaction effects in the Taguchi method. We select logarithmic-scaled sound pressure level as an object function, which is commonly used to analyze the noise and vibration signals. The optimum noise level predicted with additive-model assumption agrees well with the test results. In addition, the optimum level is lower than the initial one by about 5 dB without any adverse effects. The results show that the Taguchi method can be applied efficiently to solve the noise problem in the passenger cars.
