  • This study applied DEA analysis to measure the relative efficiency of 35 companies that produce automobile body components. First, the input and output, the improvement target value of the calculated variables, and the reference group for benchmarking for inefficient groups to become efficient groups were established through DEA analysis. In addition, whether inefficiency was due to technical inefficiency or size was analyzed in connection with the cases of the actual companies through the measurement of scale efficiency. Second, a route for efficiency improvement was derived through DEA-Tier analysis by defining the possible group for benchmarking in actuality within the production industry of automobile body components where the primary cooperative company belonged. Third, the financial variables that generate the difference between efficient and inefficient groups were derived through logistic regression analysis. Financial strategies that determine the direction the indices should be improved to allow the inefficient group to become an efficient one were recommended. This research is expected to provide diagnostic methods for management efficiency and the direction of improvement to enhance the management efficiency of automotive parts makers by identifying the causes of the inefficiency of domestic automotive parts makers empirically. The study also provides financial strategies together with the target values of efficiency improvement for each individual company.

  • The study decided the improvement depth of soft ground of deep mixing method through 2 and 3 dimension finite element method and following results were acquired. 1. 2 dimension analysis shows settlement 10% more estimated than 3 dimension analysis. 2. When the rate of replacement is under 5%, the settlement sharply increased. 3. The most economical design for the levee was decided 3.0m for width direction, 6.0m for length direction and 8.0m for improvement depth. 4. When the soft ground is developed through deep mixing method, the decision of improvement should be decided through 3 dimension analysis than 2 dimension analysis.

  • To estimate sound direction of arrival with a pair of microphones, a method based on Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) estimation using the Cross Power Spectrum Phase (CPSP) function is largely used due to its simplicity and good performance. In this paper, we investigate CPSP maximum values for various SNRs and adverse environments, and propose a novel method to improve the estimation performance of sound direction of arrival. The proposed method applies a threshold to the CPSP values and increases the reliability of the estimated sound direction. Through computer simulation for various SNRs, we validate the effectiveness of the proposed method. When the threshold was set to 0.1, more than 90% of success rate of sound direction of arrival estimation has been achieved for directions of $10^{\circ}$, $40^{\circ}$, $70^{\circ}$ from the source location even with reverberation times of 0.1s.

  • This paper estimates the direction of arrival of desired a target using propagation wave in spatial. Direction of arrival estimation is to find desired target position among received signal to receiver array antennas. In this paper, we estimated direction of arrival for target, by using cost function and high resolution MUSIC algorithm, in order to direction of arrival estimation, and calculated optimum weight vector. Through simulation, in regard to the estimation of the arrival direction of a target, the performances of the existing ESPRIT algorithm and the proposed algorithm were comparatively analyzed. In the estimation time of the arrival direction of a target object, the proposed algorithm showed an improvement of approximately as compared to the existing ESPRIT algorithm.

  • This study examined the status of resident evacuation sites notified to nearby communities, centered on business sites subject to the risk management plan of Incheon, Siheung, and Ansan. Through an analysis of the meteorological data, the direction of improvement of the site selection process for the safe evacuation of chemical accidents was studied. Among a total of 111 evacuation sites, 30 schools were selected the most, and 2-3 sites were usually selected for evacuation. As a result of an analysis of the Incheon meteorological data of 2016, the frequency of occurrences was 18.8525% in the NNE wind direction, 18.0328% in the NNW wind direction, 12.2951% in the WSW wind direction, 9.0164% in the SSE direction, 8.4700% in the SW direction, 6.5574% in the W direction, and 5.7376% in the S direction. The NNE wind direction showed the highest frequency, but the other winds showed a relatively high frequency, indicating that the annual wind direction was not biased toward one side.
