한국의 임상검체로부터 분리된 해외유입 두 형태 진균에 대한 연구 (Study on Imported Case Dimorphic Fungi Isolated from Clinical Specimen in Korea)

  • 두 형태 진균은 자연환경이나 배지에 접종하여 실온에($25{\sim}30^{\circ}C$)에서 배양하면 균사체를 형성하는 특성을 가지고 있으며, 체온이나 높은 온도($35{\sim}37^{\circ}C$)에서 배양을 하면 효모형태를 나타나는 특성이 있다. 풍토병 지역에서만 발생하는 이들은 전신감염을 일으키며, 조직이나 기관에 침입하여 심부 진균 증을 일으키는 원인 진균이다. 사람에 감염되는 두 형태 진균은 지금까지 Blastomyces dermatitidis, Coccidioides immitis, Sporothrix schenkii, Talaromyces (Penicillium) marneffei, Histoplasma capsulatum, 그리고, Paracoccidioides brasiliensis 여섯 균종으로 알려져 있다. 지금까지 해외에서 유입되어 국내에 보고된 두 형태 진균은 Coccidioides immitis가 18예, Histoplasma capsulatum이 5예, Blastomyces dermatitidis가 3예, 그리고 Talaromyces (Penicillium) marneffei 가 4예로 모두 30예의 두 형태 진균이 보고되었다. 유행지역의 방문경험이 없음에도 국내에 발생된 경우는 C. immitis가 3예, H. capsulatum이 2예, B. dermatitidis가 1예, 그리고 Talaromyces (Penicillium) marneffei 가 1예로 있다. Sporothrix schenkii 를 제외한 모든 두 형태 진균이 국내에서는 발생하지 않고 외국의 특정 국가와 한정된 지역에서만 발생하는 풍토병 원인의 토착 진균이지만, 유행 지역의 여행 경험이나 호발 지역의 이민 거주자들의 귀국과 국내로 유입되는 외국인의 증가 추세를 고려하면 해외유입 감염증의 발생은 점점 증가할 것으로 사료된다.

사례를 통한 미반덤핑법상 상품의 범위에 관한 연구 (Study concerning the Scope of Merchandise under the U.S. Antidumping Law through Case)

  • Dumping describes the practice of international price discrimination whereby a producer or exporter sells merchandise in an export market at less than fair value. The U.S. antidumping statutory framework is embodied in the Tariff Act of 1930. The Act states that "dumping" refers to the sale or likely sale of goods at less than fair value. 19 U.S.C. $\S$ 1677(34). The Commerce Department and the Commission are jointly responsible for administering the antidumping law. Commerce determines whether foreign merchandise is being sold in the United States at less than fair value, and the Commission determines whether a domestic industry producing a product like the imported merchandise has been materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of that product. Recently, in U.S. v. Eurodif, the Supreme Court held the question whether the Commerce can reasonably determin that foreign merchandise has been sold within the meaning of the antidumping law in U.S.. Should 19 U.S.C. Section 1673, which calls for "antidumping" duties on foreign goods, but not services, that sell at less than fair value in the U.S., apply to imported low enriched uranium? Yes. In a unanimous opinion written by Justice David H. Souter, the Supreme Court held that the Commerce Department's view of imported low enriched uranium, as the sale of goods rather than services, was permissible. It reasoned that, since 19 U.S.C. Section 1673 did not specify whether it applied to the production of low enriched uranium, it was left to the reasonable interpretation of the Commerce Department to determine. Accordingly, the Court found the Commerce Department interpreted the statute reasonably.

ELISA에 의한 농산물중 Aflatoxin 잔류 조사 (Aflatoxin Residues in Agricultural Commodities Determined by Direct ELISA)

  • We have reported a sensitive, specific and simple direct competitive ELISA method to detect aflatoxin in agricultural commodities. We evaluated the ELISA for practical use to detect aflatoxins contaminated in the domestic and foreign agricultural commodities. The detection limits of the direct ELISA for residual aflatoxins in rice, pine nuts, corns, almonds, bean nuts, and pistachio were 10 ppb and in peanuts and cashew nuts were 20 ppb, which were elucidated from the standard curves of ELISA for aflatoxin fortified into the agricultural commodities. Residue studies of naturally contaminated aflatoxins in the agricultural commodities were also carried out by using direct ELISA. As the results of the studies, it was revealed that there were no residues of aflatoxins in 20 rice samples produced in south Korea, 20 pine nut samples in south Korea (9 samples), USA (1 sample) and China (10 samples), each of 20 almond, pistachio and bean nut samples in USA. However, aflatoxin residues were detected in corn samples imported from north Korea (350∼585 ppb in 2 of 3 samples), from USA (109*326 ppb in 6 of 6 samples) and domestic corns (61-326 ppb in 7 of 17 samples). The toxins were contaminated in corn imported from USA for popcorn (17∼20 ppb, in 3 of 10 samples) whereas no residues were detected in corn from south Korea and China. In case of cashew nuts imported from India, 11.4∼23.1 ppb of aflatoxins were detected in 4 from 20 samples. Most of the contaminated foods were harvested before 1995. Thus, hygienic managements of the foods should be required during storage and circulation at market.

국내산 포도와 수입산 포도의 페놀계화합물 함량 (Phenolic compounds in domestic and imported grape cultivars in Korea)

  • 국내산 포도 품종 'Campbell Early', 'Kyoho', 'Heukbosuk', 'Hongju Seedless (SDS)'와 수입 포도 'Crimson SDS', 'Thomson SDS'의 페놀계 화합물을 비교하기 위해 LC-MS/MS와 HPLC를 이용하여 함량을 비교하였다. 수입포도 'Crimson SDS'와 'Thompson SDS' 품종은 국내산 포도 품종보다 가벼운 과피무게(300-350 mg)와 단단한 경도(5.2-5.6 kg·f)를 가진 것으로 조사되었다. 'Crimson SDS' 품종의 과피에 함유된 페놀계 화합물 함량은 다른 포도 품종에 비해 전반적으로 높았지만, resveratrol (25-29 mg/kg), quercetin (350-380 mg/kg), myricetin (31-32 mg/kg) 함량은 'Hongju SDS' 품종과 유사하였다. Anthocyanin 함량은 포도 품종에 따라 달랐는데, 'Hongju SDS' 품종은 Delphinidin-3-glucoside의 함량이 높았고, 'Crimson SDS' 품종은 Peonidin-3-glucoside의 함량이 높았다. 페놀 화합물의 함량은 포도 부위별 다른 함량을 나타냈고, catechin, epicatechin, procyanidin B1, B2는 포도 종자에서 전형적인 화합물이었다. 과피를 함께 먹을 수 있는 포도품종은 과피에 포함된 유용한 phenolic compounds를 효과적으로 이용할 수 있다.

Comparison of the change in quality indices during distribution period by import season in three grape cultivars

  • As a result of analyzing the quality of imported grapes during the 2018 season, the hardness of the grape berry was found to be 10 N or less in total. In the case of Chilean grapes, the soluble solids tended to be lower as imports and distribution periods were delayed. The berry weight was the largest at 14.4 - 14.8 g for the 'Red Globe', 7.1 - 7.4 g for the 'Thompson Seedless' and 6.0 - 7.0 g for the 'Crimson Seedless'. The 'Crimson Seedless' grapes imported from Chile, which had a high berry shatter rate, had a shorter pedicel length, pad width and brush length than that of the other 2 varieties. Regardless of the grape varieties, the weight loss during the distribution at room temperature ($25^{\circ}C$) increased rapidly as the import season was delayed. Additionally, it was found that the later the distribution seasons, a higher stem browning index was observed regardless of the variety. The 'Thompson Seedless' was revealed to be more susceptible to browning than that of the other varieties. The shrinkage of the stem and the pedicel browning progressed within a short time during shelf-life as the distribution time was delayed. The incidence of berry decay of the imported grapes tended to increase with the progression of the distribution period. In the fruits distributed on April, except for the 'Crimson Seedless', the grapes were rapidly corrupted in the second half of the distribution. The 'Red Globe' grapes completely lost marketability due to a berry decay of 26.1% and 69.9% at 9 and 12 days after shelf-life, respectively.

국내에서 유통되는 미꾸리과(Cobitidae) 어종의 분자동정 모니터링 (Genetic Identification Monitoring of Cobitidae Distribution in Korea)

  • This study aimed to monitor the distribution of Cobitidae in Korea by the identification of species using genetic analysis. Based on the genetic analysis, Cobitidae species in four of five domestic fish farms consisted of only Chinese muddy loach Misgurnus mizolepis, but muddy loach Misgurnus anguillicaudatus was also present it in one fish farm. In the case of imported Cobitidae species, in addition to Chinese muddy loach and muddy loach, the harmful species Paramisgurnus dabryanus, was also present. Chinese muddy loach accounted for 20%, 67%, and 60% of the S6, S7, and S8 samples, respectively. An analysis of the total length, body length, and weight showed that domestic Chinese muddy loach showed higher values than imported muddy loach, and imported Chinese muddy loach showed similar values to P. dabryanus. There were no significant differences in the country of origin of the three species. Thus, the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I gene sequence was analyzed and compared the verification of species identification. The three species of Cobitidae were genetically divided into three groups and determined to have genetic differences. These results indicate that it is necessary to reduce the heterogeneous mixing rate through discriminating species by genetic analysis.

  • When a modeling process is applied to an actual commodity market in the real world, interactions over closely related commodities through the marketing channel should also be formulated into the model to reflect the information that exists in the whole market system, otherwise unreliable estimates and test statistics may be produced by ignoring those effects. Single-equation type model in this case tends to yield inefficient estimates, and sometimes biased and inconsistent, which will mislead us. A system of equation method to examine the structure of the imported commodity market system is developed and its emtirical results are analyzed, then followed by some policy experiments and its implications.

야전운용자료를 활용한 항공무기체계의 RAM 목표값 비교분석 (Comparison of RAM Target Value and Operation Data in Air Weapon Systems)

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study is to compare the RAM (reliability, availability and maintainability) value in the acquisition phase with operational period for air weapon systems. The objective is to determine if the value of RAM is sufficient in the field, and look for any difference from the target value to some extent. Methods : For a case study, the ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ training aircraft is selected. Data from the two acquisition sources are utilized. One is the operational data in domestic aircraft through research and development, and the other is the data from imported aircraft. The two different sources were collected independently and distinctly. Results : According to the analysis, the domestic aircraft shows high deviation in RAM value compare to the imported systems. This is due to the effort of continuous reliability improvement. In the aspect of maintainability, the result shows a slight deviation, and the availability meets the requirement. Conclusion : The results of this study can be used in finding a way that can be effectively applied to the sustainability in the weapon system. If the RAM performance is significantly lower than the target value, then it is necessary to improve the design activities so that they can achieve the RAM target value.

승강장 스크린 도어용 제어장치의 개발 (The Development of DCU for the Platform Screen Door)

  • In the case of Seoul Metro, prior to installation of platform screen doors, had seen 4~6 cases a month of mortal injuries from accidents on the platforms, including suicide attempts towards the oncoming train. However, since the installation of platform screen doors, Seoul Metro has achieved a feat of '0 mortal injuries'. In the initial stages of introducing platform screen doors domestically, due to a lack of experience in controlling platform screen doors, the products were imported and installed through technical cooperations from Japan, France and the United States. Thereafter, following investments in technologies by domestic firms, domestic production of parts such as overall control mechanism, specific control mechanism, RF devices and others were achieved. However, having installed platform screen doors in a relatively short period of time, DCU(Door Control Unit), an integral part of the whole platform screen door system, is yet to be fully domestically produced. At this moment in time, installation is being done with imported products or DCUs developed with DC motors. In this research, advantages and disadvantages of DC and BLDC motors for use in DCU will be analyzed and will produce an own BLDC controlling unit in order to solve any problems arised. Furthermore, the BLDC controlling unit produced will be integrated with DCU to improve the performance of the product and its price competitiveness.

수입종자에서의 병원균분리와 약제처리효과 (Detection of Seed Born Fungi from the Imported Seed and Effect of Fungicide for Them)

  • 수입된 참외종자외 30종에서 Alternaria spp. 등 25종의 진균이 검출되었으며 박종자에서 Fusarium moniliforme 등 8종이 검출되어 공시종자중 가장 많은 종류의 진균이 분리되었다. 낙엽송종자외 5종에 약제처리한 결과 Vitathiram으로 처리된 수박종자에서 Rhynchosporium이 검출되었고 Benlate-T와 Captan을 처리한 종자에서 Alternaria spp.가 검출되었으며 무처리에서는 Alternaria spp. 등 6종의 진균이 검출되었다. 종자소독제처리에 대한 발아시험에서는 종자소독제를 사용하였을 경우 무처리나 약제처리가 거의 비슷한 발아율을 나타내고 있어 종자소독제가 종자의 발아에 미치는 영향은 없을 것으로 생각된다.
