Equivalent static wind loads analysis of tall television towers considering terrain factors of hilltops based on force measurement experiment

  • Wind field in mountainous regions demonstrates unique distribution characteristic as compared with the wind field of the flat area, wind load and wind effect are the key considerations in structural design of television towers situated in mountainous regions. The television tower to be constructed is located at the top of Xiushan Mountain in Nanjing, China. In order to investigate the impact of terrain factors of hilltops on wind loads, firstly a wind tunnel test was performed for the mountainous area within 800m from the television tower. Then the tower basal forces such as bending moments and shear strength were obtained based on high frequency force balance (HFFB) test. Based on the experiments, the improved method for determining the load combinations was applied to extract the response distribution patterns of foundation internal force and peak acceleration of the tower top, then the equivalent static wind loads were computed under different wind angles, load conditions and equivalent goals. The impact of terrain factors, damping ratio and equivalent goals on the wind load distribution of a television tower was discussed. Finally the equivalent static wind loads of the television tower under the 5 most adverse wind angles and 5 most adverse load conditions were computed. The experimental method, computations and research findings provide important references for the anti-wind design of high-rise structure built on hilltops.

VULNERABILITY OF KOREAN COAST TO THE SEA-LEVEL RISE DUE TO $21^{ST}$ GLOBAL WARMING

  • The present study intends to assess the long-term steric sea-level change and its prediction, and potential impacts to the sea-level rise due to the 21st global warming in the coastal zone of the Korea in which much socioeconomic activities have been occurred. The analysis of the 23 tide-gauge data near Korea reveals the overall mean sea-level trend of 2.31 mm/yr.In the satellite altimeter data (Topex/Poseidon and ERS), the sea-level trend in the East Sea is 4.6mm/yr. Both are larger than those of the global average value. However, it is quite questionable that the sea-level trends with the tide-gauge data on the neighboring seas of Korea relate to global warming because of the relatively short observation period and large spatial variability. It is also not clear whether the high trend of altimeter data in the East Sea is related to the acceleration of sea level rise in the Sea, short response time of the Sea, natural variability such as decadal variability, short duration of the altimeter. The coastal zone of Korea appears to be quite vulnerable to the 21st sea level rise such that for the I-m sea level rise with high tide and storm surge, the inundation area is 2,643 km2, which is about $1.2\%$ of total area and the population in the risk areas of inundation is 1.255 million, about $2.6\%$ of total population. The coastal zone west of Korea is appeared to be the most vulnerable area compared to the east and south. In the west of the Korea, the North Korea appears to be more vulnerable than South Korea. In order to cope with the future possible impact of sea-level rise to the coastal zone of Korea effectively, it is essential to improve scientific information in the sea-level rise trend, regional prediction, and vulnerability assessment near Korean coast.

  • 드라이아이스 스노우 젯(dry ice snow jet)을 액체 이산화탄소의 고압팽창에 의해 만들고 운반기체에 의해 더욱 가속시킬 수 있었다. 코팅의 제거기구는 표면 오염입자의 그것과 크게 다르지 않았다. 코팅의 제거를 Hutchings 식으로 정량적으로 표현할 수 있었다. 이들 식에 의한 plot에서 얻은 두개의 매개변수로 코팅의 제거 속도와 단위 이산화탄소의 질량에 의해 제거된 비 코팅면적을 예측할 수 있었으며 아울러 실험데이터의 신뢰도와 실험 에러의 보정도 가능하게 되었다. 노즐 기판 거리와 노즐길이를 바꾸었을 때 얻어진 이들 plot이 한점에서 만날 수 있음을 알 수 있었으며 이점이 jet plume을 모음에서 얻어진 scar 반경의 증대효과와 jet를 확산시킴에서 얻어진 scar 반경 증대효과가 균형을 맞추는 데서 얻어진 것으로 판단된다.

鉛直 원형파일에 작용하는 碎波波力의 수치해석 (Numerical Study of Breaking Wave Forces Acting on Vertical Cylindrical Piles)

  • 해양구조물의 연직 원형파일에 작용하는 파력은 파일 직경이 입사파장에 비해 매우 작은 경우에는 주로 항력과 관성력의 합으로 표시되는 Morison 식을 이용하여 결정하여 왔다. 그러나 Morison 식은 대칭형장을 유지하며 비교적 완만히 변화하는 파에 대해서 적용이 가능하다. 구조물 부재에 쇄파가 작용할 경우, 쇄파파력은 항력과 관성력에 추가하여 강한 충격쇄파력을 고려해야 한다. 본 연구는 임의 이차원 경사해빈에서 경계요소법을 적용하여 쇄파 내부점들의 수립자 속도 및 가속도를 계산하고, 이들을 이용하여 쇄파에 의한 쇄파파력을 계산하기 위한 모델기법을 수립하였다. 모델결과는 기존의 쇄파파력 측정 실험결과와 매우 잘 일치하였으며, Morison 식의 적용결과와 비교할 때 쇄파파력은 최고 약 3배, 모멘트는 최고 약 5배 정도 크게 나타났다

화물차량용 에어백 후부안전판 안전성능에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Safety Performance of the Rear Safety Guard with Air Bag for Truck)

  • Despite the movement of safe traffic by the Korean government to reduce deaths in traffic accidents, the casualties increase year by year. In particular, more and more accidents and casualties are reported from car collisions from the back of the vehicles parked for managing traffic accidents on the road, cleaning main roads and medial strips, repairing roads. In order to response to these accidents, the government should take protective measures for road users. In the last decade, seventy-one cases have been reported to occur during highway repair and maintenance. As a result, eight persons were killed and seventy-six were injured, showing the high death rate of 11.3 percent. Therefore, it seems urgent to take some actions against it. The United States and European countries legislate that vehicles of road repair and maintenance should be mandatorily equipped with shock absorber at the back. Korea, however, does not have such legislative measures, which are needed at this time to protect workers on the road. This study compares the performance of the traditional shock absorber for road maintenance vehicles with that of the rear safety guard using air bag, manufactured in accordance with related laws in Korea. Based on the results of the 60km/h rear collision test, this paper proposes improvements in related laws and regulations in an attempt to reduce casualties.

Mechanical characteristics + differential settlement of CFG pile and cement-soil compacted pile about composite foundation under train load

  • In recent years, the stability, safety and comfort of trains has received increased attention. The mechanical characteristics and differential settlement of the foundation are the main problems studied in high-speed railway research. The mechanical characteristics and differential settlement of the foundation are greatly affected by the ground treatment. Additionally, the effects of train load and earthquakes have a great impact. The dynamic action of the train will increase the vibration acceleration of the foundation and increase the cumulative deformation, and the earthquake action will affect the stability of the substructure. Earthquakes have an important practical significance for the dynamic analysis of the railway operation stage; therefore, considering the impact of earthquakes on the railway substructure stability has engineering significance. In this paper, finite element model of the CFG (Cement Fly-ash Gravel) pile + cement-soil compacted pile about composite foundation is established, and manual numerical incentive method is selected as the simulation principle. The mechanical characteristics and differential settlement of CFG pile + cement-soil compacted pile about composite foundation under train load are studied. The results show: under the train load, the neutral point of the side friction about CFG pile is located at nearly 7/8 of the pile length; the vertical dynamic stress-time history curves of the cement-soil compacted pile, CFG pile and soil between piles are all regular serrated shape, the vertical dynamic stress of CFG pile changes greatly, but the vertical dynamic stress of cement-soil compacted pile and soil between piles does not change much; the vertical displacement of CFG pile, cement-soil compacted pile and soil between piles change very little.

바나듐 분말 고속도공구강의 이차경화 및 충격인성에 미치는 오스테니타이징 온도의 영향 (Effect of Austenitizing Temperature on Secondary Hardening and Impact Toughness in P/M High Speed Vanadium Steel)

  • The secondary hardening and fracture behavior in P/M high speed steels bearing V content of 9 to 10 wt% have been investigated in terms of austenitizing temperature and precipitation behavior. Austenitizing was conducted at 1,100 and $1,175^{\circ}C$ of relatively low and high temperatures. Coarse primary carbides retained after austenitization were mainly V-rich MC type. They give a significant influence on hardeness and toughness, as well as wear resistance. Tempering was performed in the range of $500{\sim}600^{\circ}C$. The peak hardness resulting from the precipitation of the fine MC secondary carbides was observed near 520, irrespective of austenitizing temperature. Aging acceleration(or deceleration) did not occur with increasing austenitizing temperature because it mainly influences contents of V and C of matrix through the dissloution of coarse primary MC containing lots of V and C. The precipitation of secondary MC carbides, which also contain V and C, did not change the aging kinetics itself. In the 10V alloy containing much higher C content, the impact toughness was lower than 9V alloy, because of the larger amount of primary carbide and high hardness.

  • The problem of corruption and the spread of corruption crime today is not only one of the main social problems, but also an obstacle to the implementation of reforms in Ukraine. Given the complexity, scale and diversity of the impact of corruption, it is an undisputed threat to national security. At the state level, corruption threatens, firstly, state security as a result of its spread in public authorities and the combination of political and business spheres; secondly, in the domestic political sphere as a result of non-compliance and violation by officials of public authorities and local governments of the laws of Ukraine; thirdly, in the economic sphere as a result of the dominance of personal interests of civil servants over national ones; fourthly, in other spheres, namely, military, social, ecological, informational, foreign policy, etc. The origins of corruption are diverse and are formed not only in the country but also abroad. The current corruption threat is the result of the country's ineffective domestic and foreign anticorruption policies. Acceleration of the spread and manifestation of external corruption threats is associated with a number of unresolved foreign policy issues against the background of the development of globalization and integration processes, in particular: economic and financial dependence of the country on international financial institutions and organizations; as well as from foreign countries that pose a potential threat due to their ambitious plans to expand our country; unresolved issues regarding the international legal consolidation of borders, etc. It is noted that the current conditions for the development of state security, due to new challenges and threats, need to improve and implement new measures to prevent corruption as a negative impact of the main threats to national economic security. As a result of the study, the main measures to counter the main threats to the economic security of the state were identified.

ChatGPT 품질과 활용만족이 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the impact of ChatGPT Quality and Satisfaction on Intention to Continuous Use)

  • 최근 생성형 AI 기반인 ChatGPT는 상업적·교육적 활용 가능성과 높은 효용가치 기대로 급격히 발전함과 동시에 여러 가지 우려와 문제점도 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 ChatGpt의 품질이 사용자의 활용만족과 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 부산경남지역 대학생들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며 총 155명의 응답을 표본으로 SPSS 28.0 프로그램을 이용하여 검증하였다. 연구 결과, ChatGPT 품질 요소 중 신뢰성과 안정성은 활용만족과 지속적 이용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. ChatGPT의 활용만족은 지속적 이용의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. ChatGPT의 신뢰성과 안정성, 지속적 이용의도간에에 활용만족은 긍정적인 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과로 ChatGPT의 품질요소 중 사용자의 지속적 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 제시함으로서 ChatGPT의 이용 촉진에 필요한 교육적·정책적 방향 제시에 기여고자 한다.

섬유 보강재로 외부 보강된 강섬유 보강 콘크리트 슬래브의 충격저항성능 평가 (Evaluating Impact Resistance of Externally Strengthened Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete Slab with Fiber Reinforced Polymers)

  • 최근 건설기술의 발전에 따라 구조물이 대형화, 고층화, 장대화되고 있으며, 동시에 다양한 기능을 수행하고 있다. 그러나 요즘 들어 그 빈도수가 증가하고 있는 충돌 사고나 테러에 의한 폭발, 화재 등에 의한 극한하중이 상기의 구조물에 작용할 경우, 구조물의 손상뿐만 아니라 인명과 재산의 피해 정도가 상당히 커질 수 있다. 특히, 충격이나 폭발하중은 구조물에 작용하는 압력 또는 하중이 매우 짧은 시간에 발생하게 되고, 이러한 하중을 받는 구조물은 준-정적(quasi-static) 하중을 받는 구조물과는 다른 응답을 나타내게 되며 반드시 변형률 속도와 손상 효과를 고려해서 설계가 이루어져야 한다. 그러므로 이 연구에서는 콘크리트 슬래브의 충격저항성능 향상을 위해서 강섬유를 전체 부피의 0%에서 1.5%까지 혼입하고, 두 가지 종류의 FRP 시트를 인장부에 보강하여 저속 충격하중에서의 휨 실험을 수행하였다. 실험 결과 FRP 시트를 인장부에 보강할 경우에 최대 충격하중 및 소산에너지, 파괴 시의 타격 횟수가 증가하였으며, 최대 처짐 및 회전각은 감소하여 충격저항성능이 크게 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 추후 극한하중에 노출될 수 있는 주요 시설물의 설계 시 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 이 논문에서는 두 가지 종류의 FRP 시트로 보강된 강섬유 보강 콘크리트 슬래브의 저속 충격하중에서의 동적응답을 해석하기 위하여 외연적 시간적분에 기초한 유한요소해석 프로그램인 LS-DYNA를 사용하였으며, 해석 결과 오차율 5% 이내로 비교적 정확하게 최대 처짐을 예측하는 것으로 나타났다.
