내러티브를 통한 임상간호사의 간호 정체성 (Reconstruction of Professional Identity in Clinical Nurses)

  • This study was carried out to identify and re-establish the professional identity in clinical nurses. Method: From Dec. 1999, for 4 months, the study had been conducted by narrative analysis method based on hermeneutic principles. Subjects were ten nurses with 3-4 years of nursing experience at a university hospital. The data were collected and transcribed through narrative interviews. Result: As a result, the maternal role was identified as the most dominant discourse in which nurses formed their identity. Subjects felt that a maternity is socio-culturally needed in case of nursing. Reconstruction of professional identity consists of 3 stages, Telling, Retelling and Rebuilding. At first, nurses felt confused by skeptism of the profession, interpersonal difficulties, and heavy work loads. However, during the interviews, nurses recognized that nursing is not regarded as significant, effort to make nursing meaningful were small, and there was a lack of understanding others. From this new insight, they re-established a new image of nursing ″through better understanding of others, seeking knowledge, and making positive efforts towards qualified nursing". Conclusion: The above narrative interviews may help nurses reflect and contextually interpret themselves, so that a new identity could be established. Furthermore researchers can obtain new insight from the subjects, while the subjects form a new nursing image from self-reflection.tion.

Measurement of Dynamic Contact Angle of Yarn for Evaluation of Fabric Comfort Performance

  • Testing device was newly designed and built to measure the dynamic contact angle. The measurement was made using microscope interfaced with computerized image analysis system while the dynamic condition being controled using Instron. As specimens for the experiment, two different types of fibers, i.e., hydrophilic and hydrophobic, were prepared. In case of hydrophilic fiber, the increase of twist level gave the increase of contact angle. However, in hydrophobic yarn the increase of twist level gave the decrease of contact angle. When saline was used as a telling liquid, the increase of the concentration gave the increase of contact angle. The results rationalized clearly on the basis of known concepts could be used in designing fabric structure for the improvement of comport performance.

애니메이션에서 욕망 비주얼 스토리텔링 특징 분석 - 소속, 성취, 보호에 대하여 (An Analysis of Visual Storytelling Characteristics of Desire in Animation - Regarding Affiliation, Achievement, and Nurturance)

  • Successful Visual Story Telling(VST) of desire is a crucial key for the success of animation because desire is the leading power of story development of animation. An analysis of the desire of VST using the top 5 successful American feature film animations is carried out. Totally, 147 desire shots are extracted by using the proposed Objective Selection of Desire Shots(OSDS) method based on the theory of Makee's conflict and desire pursuing modeling, Maslow's 20 desire types, Greimas's actant model, and the 17 narrative process classification. In addition to them, the 5 Beat(5B) model of a scene is proposed. Five image specialists have evaluated VST of the selected 147 desire shots. For each shot, the desire type among the 20 desires and the strength are obtained. Among them, the top 3 desires(affiliation, achievement, and nurturance) appearing 51.8% are analyzed. The composition elements of shots affecting the desire type and the strength have found. These can be used for better VST of preproduction and production of animation.

비주얼 노블 멀티 시나리오 분석 (A Study of Multi-scenario in Visual Novel)

  • 비주얼 노블은 여러 멀티미디어적 요소를 결합한 연출과 게임성이 돋보이는 수행성을 살리고 하이퍼텍스트 구조를 살린 서사를 도입하면서 플레이어인 독자에게 텍스트 읽기의 즐거움을 다양한 방면으로 전하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 본 분석은 게임성과 서사성을 함께 추구하려고 한 비주얼 노블 컨텐츠가 멀티 시나리오를 구축하는데 있어 어떤 경향으로 제작해 왔는지 수행성이 서사에 담긴 시나리오와, 캐릭터별로 멀티 시타리오를 구축한 두 가지 유형으로 나누어 분석한다. 비주얼 노블은 서사와 게임성을 추구하는 컨텐츠로, 입체적 서사구성에 방점을 두고 있으며 이러한 멀티 시나리오의 구조를 알아가는 것은 앞으로의 컨텐츠 창작에 있어 실제적인 도움이 될 것이라 기대한다.

담양관련 음식고문헌을 통한 장수음식 콘텐츠 개발 (Development on Native Local Food Contents in Damyang through Ancient Writing Storytelling)

  • The purpose of this study was the development of traditional food recipes from local food contents related to the historical and cultural heritage in the representative long-lived area Damyang. The information on digging 'story' was collected through the region's representative local native journal, searching for related websites, analyzing old literatures, and interviewing traditional household; 'telling', the part of conveyance, was organized by reviewing the literatures, including historical condition, regional food materials, cuisine, region symbolism, etc. After nutritional analysis, the prepared, balanced, and healthy Korean food dishes using the traditional food contents were displayed. In Damyang, the story was extracted from Heuichoon Ryu (柳希春, 1543-1577) - figura of Damyang - and his collection, 'Miam's diary', and described about native food. The traditional history of many foods that were used mainly as rewarding during one's trouble, showing good faith, and delivering gratitude is recorded in Miam diary. A little effort has been made to express the classical scholar's clean and neat dining table which was the mixed Damyang's clean image and nobleman's straight integrity in the middle of the Choson Dynasty. Nutrition fact of 'Miam's table' was based on the Daily Reference Values of Koreans aged 65 or older.

패션 브랜드의 페이스북 커뮤니케이션을 통한 프로모션 사례연구 - 공감, 참여적 요소를 중심으로 - (A Case study of Promotion through the Communication Contents of Facebook for Fashion Brands - Focused on Empathy and Participation based on the Communication Contents -)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine how recently fashion brands tried to design Facebook contents for their promotion strategies, and how to encourage customer's empathy and participation for communication content. For this study, 17 domestic and foreign fashion brand facebook contents were analyzed. The results of the study were as follows. First, fashion brands provided product information through various methods such as the Facebook fan styling pictures contest which attracted voluntary participation from fans, an emotional product introduction video with effective storytelling techniques, and pictures and videos of a new season collection that were always viewable and able to be evaluated. Secondly, Facebook contents of brand promotion that contributed to the brand image and loyalty formation were identified. Fashion brands encouraged their fans to be involved in socially-oriented marketing and brand community. Moreover, telling the story of the brand history and brand management enhanced brand involvement of fans. Finally, fashion brands communicated actively with their fans providing information that aroused their interest. They gave tips on how to improve the quality of life, provided useful applications that offered various benefits in everyday life. Based on this result, implications of Facebook contents management as a promotion strategy were further discussed.

꿈에 대한 동서의학적 인식 (Study on Recognition of Dream in Oriental and Western Medicine)

  • The dream is a well-known experience in the routine life. It is the image and thought being occurred during the sleep, and the complex reaction of our mental world to the event of everyday. In particular, there are so many opinions of the reason why people have a dream and this thesis is telling about the physical and pathological changes in the human as one of that various opinions. The aspects of this thesis are often founded in the diverse texts of oriental Medicine, including the Internal Classics(내경), and there were some cases that regarded the dream as diagnostic object and put to clinical uses. These attempts were not only tried out by particular orient thoght, also the ancient Greeks thought that the dream would represent important informations about the health. But, these ideas have been treated lightly by the impacts of the western medicine since the modern age. Straightforwardly, before the psycho-analytics was not development, most of the doctors and scientists regarded the dream as things like dregs of mind. The central operating bodies of the dream are the Spirit(신) and Hon and Beak(혼백), and the Spirit(신) is more essential part between the two.

Authoring Tool of Musical Slide Show MAF Contents

  • The Musical Slide Show MAF, which currently being standardized by MPEG, conveys the concept of combining several established standard technologies in a single file format. It defines the format of packing up MP3 audio data, along with MPEG-7 Simple Metadata Profile and MPEG-21 Digital Item Declaration metadata; with JPEC images and optional text, and synchronizes them all together to create a slideshow of JPEC image data associated to MP3 audio data during the audio playback. The implementation of Musical Slide Show MAF can be a music karaoke file where users can sing along while listening to the music, view the JPEG slideshow and reading the lyrics; or a story-telling file where users can listen to the narrated story by looking at the related illustration slideshow of the story In this paper we present the tool to producing the Musical Slide Show MAF contents. Regardless the knowledge of user on the MAF file format, the authoring tool simplify the manner of packaging several multimedia contents into single file.

Recognizing a polyhedron by network constraint analysis

  • The present paper describes a method of recognizing a polyhedron employing the notion of network constraint analysis. Typical difficulties in three-dimensional object recognition, other than shading, reflection, and hidden line problems, include the case where appearances of an object vary according to observation points and the case where an object to be recognized is occluded by other objects placed in its front, resulting in incomplete information on the object shape. These difficulties can, however, be solved to a large extent, by taking account of certain local constraints defined on a polyhedral shape. The present paper assumes a model-based vision employing an appearance-oriented model of a polyhedron which is provided by placing it at the origin of a large sphere and observing it from various positions on the surface of the sphere. The model is actually represented by the sets of adjacent faces pairs of the polyhedron observed from those positions. Since the shape of a projected face gives constraint to that of its adjacent face, this results in a local constraint relation between these faces. Each projected face of an unknown polyhedron on an acquired image is examined its match with those faces in the model, producing network constraint relations between faces in the image and faces in the model. Taking adjacency of faces into consideration, these network constraint relations are analyzed. And if the analysis finally provides a solution telling existence of one to one match of the faces between the unknown polyhedron and the model, the unknown polyhedron is understood to be one of those memorized models placed in a certain posture. In the performed experiment, a polyhedron was observed from 320 regularly arranged points on a sphere to provide its appearance model and a polyhedron with arbitrarily postured, occluded, or imposed another difficulty was successfully recognized.

현대(現代)의 독자(讀者)와 과거(過去)의 문학(文學) (The Modern Reader and The Past Literature)

  • It is not a simple topic how let the modern readers read the past literature in the these days of digital. But even though the changes of the times, we must not let 'the paper-books(the thing written with letters)' disappear because of 'the audio-visual texts(the thing made with digital media as drama-opera, animated cartoon, animated image)'. The Electronic medias should be used so as helping for us to understand contents of the paper-books. Because of them, the paper-books must not be expelled. It is no need certainly for the reading materials to be made with Paper-books. For example, the electronic-books in order to read also would not become problems. Moreover, the electronic-books to be made with various electronic media can also provide the audio-visual materials for readers well to understand contents of the books. For that reason, the electronic-books would be helped to read effectively. Besides after reading the original texts, the readers to try the 'rewriting', with using the meanings for oneself to get from the texts would be able to make a synopsis or story-telling for other art performances. These works are things positively to be stimulated, because of giving the achievement motivations to the readers. To conclude, the audio-texts reading and the visual-texts reading should be developed so that the paper-books to be revitalize. And though the modern readers dislike to read the paper-books, We should try to make the audio-visual texts base on the paper-books. Therefore the paper-books and audio-visual texts are inter-complementary relationships, not competitive relationships.
