  • Theatricals have been with human's history for a long time. And It is also receiving a lot of love in modern times. The stage is recognized another space of time by spectators during the play and the production actualize fictional world by using all destination things on the stage. Therefore, the design of the stage has symbolism and the production needs semiological. The Elements expressed through the stage is composed of stage equipment, costume, lighting, stage effects and the production needs light, sound and costume designers, a stage manager, grips an advertising director for the play. The study analysis on symbolic image on the view of semigical with focused on "Vishnvovvi sad" of Anton Chekhov. The details of the study are symbolism of stage effect and costume, lighting, stage equipment. Furthermore, The study analyze way to symbolic Express korean characteristics and This research is an excellent source for students who are studying the semilogical analysis of stage.

  • In this paper, we propose a parameter-free smoothing method for speckle images, i.e., an adaptive least squares image smoothing technique implemented in a multistep environment. The pertinent smoothing window size at a given pixel is determined by the discontinuity measure which is defined by the ratio of the local variance and mean squares of intensity values of pixels over the smoothing window centered there. The mode of the discontinuity measure at each step is estimated to replace the noise variance parameter that is required in the adaptive smoothing. Computer simulation shows that the proposed multistep technique can smooth homogeneous regions satisfactorily while preserving fine details near boundaries.

  • The purpose of this work is to support a solution of optimizing TMO (tone mapping operator). JPEG XT Profile A and C utilize Erik Reinhard TMO that works well in most cases, however, detailed information of a scene is lost in some cases. Reinhard TMO only calculates its coefficient to have tone-mapping curve from log-average luminance, and this lead to lose details of bright and dark area of scenes in turn. Thus, this paper proposes an enhancement of the default TMO for JPEG XT Profile C to optimize tone-mapping curve. Main idea is that we divide tone mapping curve into several ranges, and set reasonable parameters for each range. By the experimental results, the proposed scheme shows and obtains better performance within a dark scene, compared to the default Reinhard TMO.

  • Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) is a versatile and powerful technique that enables direct visualization of biological samples of sizes ranging from whole cell to near-atomic resolution details of a protein molecule. Thanks to numerous technical breakthroughs and monumental discoveries, 3D electron microscopy (3DEM) has become an indispensable tool in the field of structural biology. In particular, development of cryo-electron microscopy(cryo-EM) and computational image processing played pivotal role for the determination of 3D structures of complex biological systems at sub-molecular resolution. Here, basis of TEM and 3DEM will be introduced, especially focusing on technical advancements and practical applications. Also, future prospective of constantly evolving 3DEM field will be discussed, with an anticipation of great biological discoveries that were once considered impossible.

  • In this paper, we propose Media GIS web service architecture using 3D geographical database and GPS-related data resulted from 4S-Van. We introduce a novel interoperable geographical data service concept; so-called, Virtual World Mapping (VWM) that can map 3D graphic world with real-world video. Our proposed method can easily retrieve geographical in-formation and attributes to reconstruct 3D virtual space according to certain frame in video sequences. Our proposed system architecture also has an advantage that can provide geographical information service with video stream without any image processing procedures. In addition to, describing the details of our components, we present a Media GIS web service system by using GeoVideo Server, which performs VWM technique.

  • We are studying large-scale irrigation projects of 100,000 ha to 1,000,000 ha in the world with emphasis on their historical courses of development, geographical conditions, water managements, planting conditions and landuse changes. Recent advancement in GIS/remote sensing techniques has enabled us to proceed studies in this field in more details. Here, we describe the results of analysis on distribution of irrigation canals, three-dimensional shape of the irrigation area and planting conditions of agricultural products investigated last year in Gezira irrigation project, Sudan, using Landsat 7 ETM data and DEM supplied by USGS.

  • Satellite IKONOS images are one of important remote sensing data sources as today because of their very high spatial resolution. Their detections for islands and offshore oceanic features with multi-dimension and multi-scales information, specially some small islands, are of great potential. Their application abilities in islands and offshore detections are addressed at the first of the paper. And image processing technologies and the information extracting methodologies are described. Some results on remote sensing of the islands and their nearby object features are shown in details. Discussions and conclusions are carried out simply at the final.

  • Due to the situation of the widespread of the coronavirus, which causes the problem of lack of face image data occluded by masks at recent time, in order to solve the related problems, this paper proposes a method to generate face images with masks using a combination of generative adversarial networks and spatial transformation networks based on CNN model. The system we proposed in this paper is based on the GAN, combined with multi-scale convolution kernels to extract features at different details of the human face images, and used Wasserstein divergence as the measure of the distance between real samples and synthetic samples in order to optimize Generator performance. Experiments show that the proposed method can effectively put masks on face images with high efficiency and fast reaction time and the synthesized human face images are pretty natural and real.

  • This study explores the images and ideas presented by the editorial cartoons that have appeared in the author's Facebook timeline during Duterte's enhanced community quarantine (ECQ). The study analyzed 70 editorial cartoons posted between March 14, 2020, when Duterte declared ECQ in the National Capital Region of the Philippines, and June 22, 2020, a few days before the emergency powers of Duterte expired. This study used (visual-verbal) textual analysis as the research method to surface discourses embedded in the selected editorial cartoons. The editorial cartoons were clustered according to the roles the powerful people play in the images, and the details of each image were compared and contrasted to surface nuances in representation. The 70 editorial cartoons were classified into seven categories: (1) invisible (non-suffering) persons, (2) front liners, (3) privileged homeowners, (4) priority clients, (5) judges, (6) gatekeepers, and (7) dysfunctional public officials. They gravitated towards the tragic realities that call for acts of social justice and equity, and underscore specific contexts that need to be fixed by those in power.
