A Multi-Perspective Benchmarking Framework for Estimating Usable-Security of Hospital Management System Software Based on Fuzzy Logic, ANP and TOPSIS Methods

  • One of the biggest challenges that the software industry is facing today is to create highly efficient applications without affecting the quality of healthcare system software. The demand for the provision of software with high quality protection has seen a rapid increase in the software business market. Moreover, it is worthless to offer extremely user-friendly software applications with no ideal security. Therefore a need to find optimal solutions and bridge the difference between accessibility and protection by offering accessible software services for defense has become an imminent prerequisite. Several research endeavours on usable security assessments have been performed to fill the gap between functionality and security. In this context, several Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approaches have been implemented on different usability and security attributes so as to assess the usable-security of software systems. However, only a few specific studies are based on using the integrated approach of fuzzy Analytic Network Process (FANP) and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) technique for assessing the significant usable-security of hospital management software. Therefore, in this research study, the authors have employed an integrated methodology of fuzzy logic, ANP and TOPSIS to estimate the usable - security of Hospital Management System Software. For the intended objective, the study has taken into account 5 usable-security factors at first tier and 16 sub-factors at second tier with 6 hospital management system softwares as alternative solutions. To measure the weights of parameters and their relation with each other, Fuzzy ANP is implemented. Thereafter, Fuzzy TOPSIS methodology was employed and the rating of alternatives was calculated on the foundation of the proximity to the positive ideal solution.

Submodule Level Distributed Maximum Power Point Tracking PV Optimizer with an Integrated Architecture

  • The distributed maximum power point tracking (DMPPT) concept is widely adopted in photovoltaic systems to avoid mismatch loss. However, the high cost and complexity of DMPPT hinder its further promotion in practice. Based on the concept of DMPPT, this paper presents an integrated submodule level half-bridge stack structure along with an optimal current point tracking (OCPT) control algorithm. In this full power processing integrated solution, the number of power switches and passive components is greatly reduced. On the other hand, only one current sensor and its related AD unit are needed to perform the ideal maximum power generation for all of the PV submodules in any irradiance case. The proposal can totally eliminate different small-scaled mismatch effects in real-word condition and the true maximum power point of each PV submodule can be achieved. As a result, the ideal maximum power output of the whole PV system can be achieved. Compared with current solutions, the proposal further develops the integration level of submodule DMPPT solutions with a lower cost and a smaller size. Moreover, the individual MPPT tracking for all of the submodules are guaranteed.

The Increase of Seeds Germination in Albizzia julibrissin, Lespedeza cyrtobotrya and Lespedeza cuneata by Microbial Treatment (미생물에 의한 자귀나무·참싸리·비수리 종자의 발아촉진)

  • Herbs and plants widely used for the ecological restoration were selected for germination rate analysis under treatment of microorganisms to determine ideal treatment conditions and medium for enhanced germination rate. Albizzia julibrissin, when submerged in a nutrient medium or distilled water, presented a decrease in germination period rather than increase in germination rate. When treated with microorganism culture solution (JM-2) for 24 hours, 90% germination was achieved in two days, which is sufficient evidence to conclude that such treatment accelerates the germination of Albizzia julibrissin. Germination period decreased for Lespedeza cyrtobotrya samples submerged in microorganism solution for 15 and 48 hours, however, increases in germination rates were not observed. Sample treated in the solution for 24 hours had increased germination rate and enhanced germination period. Microorganism solution treatment had a negative effect on germination for Lespedeza cuneata, unlike Lespedeza cyrtobotrya and Albizzia julibrissin. Microorganism treated seeds of Lepsedeza cuneata had a lower germination rate than that of the control with no treatment. However, submerging treatments in a nutrient medium or distilled water for 24 to 48 hours were proven effective with higher germination rates than control sample with no treatment.   • In Taguchi's quadratic expected loss function used as robustness metric of performance characteristics, the mean and variance contributions are confounded. The consolidation of the mean and variance in the expected loss function may not always be the ideal approach. This paper presents a procedure for multi-attributes design optimization, where the mean and variance of performance characteristics are considered as separate attributes having designer's relative preferences for them and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS) is introduced to attain robust optimal design. The effectiveness of proposed approach is shown with an example of a weld line minimization problem in the injection molding process.

Study on the Outdoor Conditions for Air Conditioning Design in Korea (한국의 공기조화설계용 외기조건)

  • The outdoor design conditions for the locality are the basic problem in the design of air conditioning system. The ideal solution to the basic problem is to design a building that has a capacity at maximum output just equal to the load which develops the most severe conditions for the locality occur, but in most cases, economics interferes the attainment of the ideal. Studies of weather records show that the most severe conditions do not repeat themselves every year. The weather conditions of principal cities such as Seoul, Inchon, Suwon, Taegu, Chonju, Ulsan, Kwangju, Pusan and Mokpo in Korea have been analyzed to determine the probability of occurrence of certain temperatures according to recent 10 years $(1960\∼1969)$ weather records. The outdoor conditions for winter air conditioning design are shown on Table 2. The outdoor conditions for summer air condioning design are shown on Table 7. Heating degree days are shown on Table 10 and 11.

  • The objective of this paper is to evaluate the economic performance of latent and sensible energy transportation systems. LCC (Life-Cycle Cost) analysis is a practical method and a guideline for evaluating the economic performance of considered systems during the Life-Cycle Period. By comparing the LCC of alternatives, The most ideal alternative is determined which has the lowest LCC. It is concluded that the cost of STA (Solution Transportation Absorption system) can be reduced by 67% to that of sensible energy transportation for study period with 10 km transportation distance.

  • This experimental study was carried out to investigate on the safety of Nog-yong aqua-acupuncture solution in primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes. Primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes has been considered as a ideal model for toxicological studies because cultured hepatocytes maintained many liver-specific functions. In this research, we investigated the effects of Nog-yong aqua-aqupunture(1-10$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml) on cytotoxicites in primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes using LDH release assays. Hepatic glutathione level. glutathione-S-transferase activity, and albumin synthesis were not affected by treatment with Nog-yong aqua-aqupuntur alone. Nog-yong aqua-aqupuncoure solution(0.5-$10{\mu}\textrm{g}$/ml) on cytotoxicites in primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes using LDH release not significantly affected normal functional charaterists.

  • Dynamic behavior of flexible rectangular liquid storage structures is analysed by the developed method. The rectangular liquid storage structures are assumed to be fixed to the ground and a moving coordinate system is used. The irrotational motion of invicid and incompressible ideal fluid is represented by two analytic solutions. One is the solution of the fluid motion in the rigid rectangular liquid storage structure due to ground motions and the other is the solution of the fluid motion by the motion of the wall in the flexible rectangular liquid storage structure. The motion of structure is modeled by finite elements. The fluid-structure interaction effect is reflected into the coupled equation of motion as added fluid mass matrix. The free surface sloshing motion and hydrodynamic pressure acting on the wall in the flexible rectangular liquid storage structure due to the horizontal ground motion are obtained by the developed method and verified.

  • This paper deals with an application of process value analysis method for a manufacturing process in order to redesign facility layout in a paper company. We have used the value analysis method which permits an overall and rigorous study of process by a functional approach. Firstly, customer's expectations for the future process are clearly and precisely expressed with specifications of the Functional Extern Analysis. The existing process is analyzed using various tool of the Functional Internal Analysis in the second part. From the results of these analysis, we find out that the main problems of current facility are due to scheduling and facility layout. This paper is devoted to resolve the second problem. We suggest an ideal solution in order to have a reference solution. Nextly, We give realistic choices and the final solution for the facility layout.

  • In this paper, We propose a new target tracking filter which utilizes PDA-AI for data association in a clutter environment and also propose an analytic solution for ideal filter covariance which accounts for all the possible events in PDA-AI. Monte Carlo simulation for the proposed filter in a clutter environment indicates that the proposed analytic solution forms a tight lower bound for the error covariance of PDA-AI filter.
