  • There are dozens of applications on the smartphone. The service application that manages the loading, deletion, and deployment of these applications is called a smartphone launcher, and various launchers are used. Some of the existing launchers provide a function to automatically place icons by analyzing user application usage patterns. In this paper, we present a method of automatically arranging icons so that the icons are balanced on the smartphone screen. The usefulness of our method is illustrated by some exaples. In this case, it is proved that in an m × n screen layout with a height of m and a width of n, if n is an odd number, the entire screen can always be arranged in a balanced manner regardless of the n value by mathematical induction method.

Therefore, each university strives to differentiate its main gate from that of other universities with a unique form. This research investigates the signs and symbols shown at the university's main gate of 18 universities in Korea, and also presents useful design tips with the objective of bearing the spirit of the campus and its founding ideology. The results of this research as follows: Icons of Sign for 18 universities can be classified into five separate categories: things, human, animal, character, and metaphor. Examples of the 'things' icons include a pen nib, the sun, the cross, a big bell, and so on. Also, the meaning of the represented symbols can be grouped in three separate categories: university's development, contribution to society, and mining of knowledge. From the three category, university development symbol is the most likely to be used.

  • This research examines 13 Korean Web sites and 15 foreign Web Sites to explore how companies present apparel products by both layout of graphics and information at the Web sites. The results show that most Web sites display tiny icons next to the item's text description. Clicking on these icons takes the customers to another web page, where the full size photograph of the item appears. The results also revealed that most web sites offer shopping bag function and payment options such as on-line and credit cards. The results indicate that Web sites are constantly evolving and following functions such as virtual dressing room, FAQ, the links, E-Cash payment, currency converter and multilingual sites are becoming standards in the near future.

  • In this paper, we designed a Molter analysis system using the visual programming method It differs from the existing analysis system in that the various signal processing algorithms represented by icons were designed by GUI concept which provide unskilled user with easy and convenient analysis environment. In order to analyze ECG signal. we only select the icon representing an algorithm to be applied by mouse and arrange the selected icons upon the order to be jlrocessed on screen. As a result it provides a convenient usage and flexibility of analysis. Also, we can find the optimal algorithm for the ambulatory ECG analysis by comparing the several results obtained from the various analysis configuration.

  • This study is a study on Silver Class' percipience on mobile phone's LCD and a research has been conducted for configuration of an effective menu. First of all, the minimum sizes for Silver Class to perceive LCDs of mobile phones and sizes of icons or fonts within the LCDs were measured, and icons easily perceived by Silver Class were analyzed for configuring menu. These measurements it to understand what kind of display configuration has the highest demand by comparing a general public group in their 25 to 35 and a Silver Class group above 65 and suggest an alternative for that.

  • This study focuses on the iconography of Hindu deities in Bagan period. As a country in Southeast Asia, Myanmar received her culture from Indianized culture. As aforesaid, sailors, traders, and settlers brought with them Brahmanism and Buddhism into Myanmar. A possibility is that local chiefs or the rulers invited Brahmans to conduct coronations, weddings, and burials in Brahmanical rites as they will much impressed by the Brahmanical thoughts and beliefs. Accordingly, Brahmanic icons as objects of worship are found quite in number of places, especially in Thaton, Bago, Vesali, Sriksetra, Bagan and Kawgoon. Apart from Buddhist iconography, the Brahmanic icons of various sects can be found in Bagan. Brahmanic deities are illustrated with Buddhist painting, which is a characteristic of Baganreligious iconography. Most of the scenes on Hinduism are to be found in NatlaungKyaung, Nanpaya and Shwesandaw Pagoda. Myanmar people, however, knowingly or unknowingly ignore some features of Indian deitiesand eventually the iconsare found in various places in Bagan.
