Performance Analysis on Soft Decision Decoding using Erasure Technique (COFDM 시스템에서 채널상태정보를 이용한 Viterbi 디코더)

  • This paper relates to the soft decision method with erasure technique in digital terrestrial television broadcasting system. The proposed decoder use the CSI derived from using the pilots in receiver. The active real(I) and imaginary(Q) data are transferred to the branch metric calculation block that decides the Euclidean distance for the soft decision decoding and also the estimated CSI values are transferred to the same block. After calculating the Euclidean distance for the soft decision decoding, the Euclidean distance of branch metric is multiplied by CSI. To do so, new branch metric values that consider each carrier state information are obtained. We simulated this method in better performance of about 0.15dB to 0.17dB and 2.2dB to 2.9dB in Rayleigh channel than that of the conventional soft decision Viterbi decoding with or without bit interleaver where the constellation is QPSK, 16-QAM and 64-QAM.

A Study of File Format-Aware Fuzzing against Smartphone Media Server Daemons (스마트폰 미디어 서버 데몬에 대한 파일 포맷 인식 기반의 퍼징 연구)

  • The smartphone operates the media server daemon to handle audio service requests. Media server daemons, running with a high privilege in the background, caused many vulnerabilities to applications most frequently used in smart devices including smartphones. Fuzzing is a popularly used methodology to find software vulnerabilities. Unfortunately, fuzzing itself is not much effective in such format-strict environments as media services. In this paper, we propose a file format-aware fuzzing in order to efficiently detect vulnerabilities of media server daemon. We acquired a remote arbitrary code execution vulnerability on iOS/tvOS/MacOS/watchOS, and we verified the effectiveness by comparing our methodology with the fuzzers FileFuzz and ZZUF.

  • In the early stage, the radio communication industry was widely accepted as a monopoly industry, so it has been controled and managed by government. But the advanced technology in Information and Technology industry has led constant increase of demand and dramatic change of communication market. Furthermore it is expected that frequency resource is to be short by market change due to wire-wireless integration. That is why the effort to utilize and manage limited frequency resource efficiently is being executed around the world. Not only newly developing and allocating the spectrum but also reallocating the existing spectrum important are, since transforming inefficiently used existing spectrum to new service can increase producer's surplus and social welfare. The economic approach to valuate the spectrum and spectrum usage right is necessary different from the traditional cost based approach, and through this approach I expect active transaction of spectrum. In this paper the real option methodology is used for valuation of spectrum, considering spectrum user's option right based on future revenue. In detail, the matter of withdrawing and reallocating the existing analog radio broadcasting spectrum is evaluated in this paper, The digitalization of a broadcasting service is widely spreaded around the world in terms of technology and service utility, and analog TV broadcasting has already been decided to be transformed to digital TV broadcasting. It was planned to convert analog radio broadcasting to DAB service before adopting DMB service, but nowadays this issue is not on the table anymore. However if the increasing demand of digital voice and broadcasting service is considered, this kind of research to valuate a spectrum is needed urgently. The result of this research shows that when the redeployment of spectrum is done, social welfare will increases. The point of the reallocation time and value are suggested by the monte carlo simulation through ROVM. In this paper, I use real option to valuate the spectrum and provide the point of the reallocation time and reasonable guideline, and moreover, the suitable information of this paper is expected to reduce risk and loss in policy practice.

  • Corporation, local government and government office provide useful information. Advertisement service is getting various manner. Typical example is electronic display, TV-advertisement and internet or mobile advertisement service. In this paper, I'm study about Taxi-advertisement service still. A similar case is bus or subway advertisement from display. But, Taxi have been only lapping advertisement. Because, Taxi get space restraints. Broadly speaking, Person using Gyeonggi-do to Soeul or Incheon to Soeul is 423million people. On a national basis, it's very amazing figure. However It's just so many person showing one advertisement. So people have no interest in advertisement. So I develop new advertisement system through taxi in the whole country. 254,823 car have passenger personal information and showing people needing advertisement. Also this system get geographical information. This system have high advertisement effect.

  • 실시간 운영 체제(Real-Time Operating System)는 특정 태스크가 정해진 시간 안에 수행될 수 있도록 시간 결정성(Determinism)을 보장하는 운영 체제이다. 실시간 운영테제는 멀티태스킹(Multitasking) 및 ITC(InterTask Communication 혹은 IPC, Interprocess Communication)을 제공한다는 점에서는 일반 운영체제인 Unix$^{TM}$, Linux$^{TM}$, Windows$^{TM}$ 등과 같지만, 시간 결정성을 보장한다는 점에서 일반 운영 체제와 다르다. 또만 실시간 운영 체제를 포함한 임베디드 시스템(Embedded System)은 일반적으로 디지털 카메라, 디지털 TV, DVD 등에서 수행되므로 실행 이미지(Image) 크기가 작아야 한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 운영체제의 실행 이미지를 줄이면서 시간 결정성을 보장한 수 있도록 메모리 관리 체계를 설계하고 구현한 내용을 설명한다.

A Study of Anime's Success Factors in USA and Its Suggestions

  • Anime is very popular in Japan, it has also gained a following in America and is beginning to hit the mainstream. Anime is gaining popularity in the United States as it is shown more on television, most noticeably on the Sci-Fi Channel with shows such as Saturday Anime and during Anime Week and on Cartoon Network with shows such as Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z being shown every weekday during the Toonami block. In this paper, I present the key factors behind the success of anime in USA. To find out the factors, I research literature and simple survey. The differences of anime from us animation make anime popular. Anime-related goods such as video games, trading cards, and characters' jewelry aid the anime growing popularity. A booming trend in admiration for Japan is one of the key factors behind anime's success. In spite of disputing about Japanese animation, anime is starting to have some influence on US animation and also young American. Anime's success factors in USA could suggest that Korean Manhwa and Korean animation have to prepare strategies for rising popularity in oversea.

  • 현재 3DTV 방송은 한국, 미국, 유럽 등 선진국을 중심으로 다양한 방식의 3DTV 실험방송 및 상용 서비스가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 3DTV 방송 방식은 기술개발 진행 측면에서 i) 서비스 호환 방식 지원, ii) 기존 디지털방송 화질 및 최대 1080i 고해상도 지원이라는 핵심 기술개발을 목표로 점차 진화되고 있으며 전 세계 표준단체는 이를 지원하기 위한 서비스 호환 3DTV 방송 서비스에 대한 표준화가 본격적으로 진행 중에 있다. 본고에서는 ATSC(Advanced Television Systems Committee), DVB(Digital Video Broadcasting), SCTE(Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers) 및 TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association) 등 다양한 디지털방송 매체 기반의 서비스 호환 3DTV 방송 방식에 대한 국내외 표준화 현황에 대해 살펴본다.

  • Multimedia boom has happened worldwide these days. In multimedia, we use several kinds of media such as character, figure, voice, music, still images, moving picture etc.. Then I think image including moving picture is the most effective and important media for human being. Creating digital images using a computer has the following two main approaches, depending on how the computer is used. 1. CG Technology. Created images, produced through computer graphics. 2. Digital Image Processing. Images processed through digital image processing technologies. Approach (1) is very popular as Computer Graphics. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional computer graphics techniques are used over wide applications today. On the other hand, Approach (2), which uses digital image processing technology, has been attracting attention lately, in the filed of movies and television. In this report, I will introduce these approaches of CG and digital image processing, and show some application fields such as current movies.

  • According to the degree how the information communication, technology and various basic given conditions are working, most of all enterprises in 21 century are running utilizing information technology. Mongolia is also driving forward for the 2010 year goal and the information technological environment is fast developing in Mongolia. By the tendency of fast moving development of information and technological change will make a road to be possible implementing the Home-Shopping in Mongolia. To meet the changeable tendency and countermeasures of Mongolian environment, e-Business policies are necessary. In this paper I like to point out why the Mongolian enterprises should have keen interest on e-Business and on the ground of the necessity on it. I like to suggest some models for Mongolia.
