We present measurements of diffuse interstellar $H_2$ absorption lines in the continuum spectra of 10 early-type stars. The data were observed with the Berkeley Extreme and Far-Ultraviolet Spectrometer (BEFS) of the ORFEUS telescope on board the ORFEUS-SPAS I and II space-shuttle missions in 1993 and 1996, respectively. The spectra extend from the interstellar cutoff at 912 $\AA$ to about 1200 $\AA$ with a resolution of ~ 3000 and statistical signal-to-noise ratios between 10 and 65. Adopting Doppler broadening velocities from high-resolution optical observations, we obtain the $H_2$ column densities of rotational levels J" = 0 through 5 for each line of sight. The kinetic temperatures derived from J" = 0 and 1 states show a small variation around the mean value of 80 K, except for the component toward HD 219188, which has a temperature of 211 K. Based on a synthetic interstellar cloud model described in our previous work, we derive the incident UV intensity IUV and the hydrogen density $n_H$ of the observed components to be -0.4 $\leq$ log $I_{UV}\leq2.2$ and $6.3{\leq}n_H2500cm^{-3}$, respectively.

Diode laser absorption sensors are advantageous because they may provide fast, sensitive, absolute, and selective measurements of species concentration. These systems are very attractive for practical applications owing to its compactness, resonable cost, robustness, and ease of use. In addition, diode lasers are fiber-optic compatible and thus enable simultaneous measurements of multiple species along a line-of-sight. Recent advances of room-temperature, near-IR and visible diode laser sources for telecommunication, optical data storage applications make it possible to be applied for combustion diagnostics based on diode laser absorption spectroscopy. Therefore, combined with fiber-optics and high sensitive detection strategies, compact and portable sensor systems are now appearing for variety of applications. The objectives of this research are to develope a new gas sensing system and to verify feasibility of this system. Wavelength and power characteristics as a function of injection current and temperature are experimentally found out. Direct absorption spectroscopy has been demonstrated in these experiments and has a bright prospect to this diode laser system.

By matching a well established fast throughflow code, with standard loss correlations, and an efficient optimization algorithm, a new design system has been developed, which optimizes inlet and exit flow-field parameters for each blade row of a multistage axial flow turbine. The compressible steady state inviscid throughflow code based on streamline curvature method is suitable for fast and accurate flow calculation and performance prediction of a multistage axial flow turbine. A general purpose hybrid constrained optimization package, iSIGHT has been used, which includes the following modules: genetic algorithm, simulated annealing, modified method of feasible directions. The design system has been demonstrated using an example of a 5-stage low pressure steam turbine for 800MW thermal power plant previously designed by HANJUNG. The comparison of computed performance of initial and optimized design shows significant improvement in the turbine efficiency.

In this paper, based on the thought of the place, I tried to define the meaning of th place and interprete its landscape. The landscape of the mt. Toham with its Grotto-temple "Sokgulam" is the major object of it. The "matter and form" of the Sokgulam realizes the archetypal meaning of the grotto, birth or place of the birth, in a concrete picture. The aesthetics of the Sokgulam, the mater and form in the work of arts, comes out light harmonious with the elements: "grotto", the new foreign element of the architectural style and "orientation", the old domestic one of the Shilla that presented itself at the Chomsongdae, a kind of observatory. The interrelation of the old and new elements in work of the Sokgulam shows us also a thought as an opinion of the transference to say: the matter of the traditional subject, "grotto" and the form makes the abstract matter concretely in sight, by receiving the natural happening of the sunrise at the winter solstice.

This study is focused on the indeterminacy of the contemporary social structure based on the philosophical concept of relationship. The purpose of this study is to present the index of the space planning that the contemporary society demands through analysis of a characteristics of the indeterminate program. As the result, we got a characteristic and a design method of the following indeterminate programs. (1)The characteristic of the interior space programs are in such cases as combined, the continuance, the pile, the juxtaposition, mixing and interference etc. (2) The characteristics of space planning are multiple changes of the space occupation, various sight experiences, folding structure, expansion of flow space, the insertion of a between spates etc. (3) The characteristic of space design expression is addition of various functions tv unification of a structural element and an element of furniture.

재래시장에 대한 지금까지의 시각은 시설의 현대화에 집중되어 왔다. 그러나 재래시장이 현대적 쇼핑몰에 버금가는 판매시설로서 면모를 갖춘다고 해서 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있을 것인가에 대한 의문이 제기되고 있다. 그렇다면 재래시장에 대한 개념적 정의와 기능이 새롭게 정립될 필요성이 있다고 판단된다. 재래시장은 전통성과 시장의 기능을 수행하는 것으로 문화적 기능이 부각되어 왔다. 그러므로 재래시장은 장소적 특성을 부여받아야 본래의 가치를 되찾게 될 것이다.

Augmented Reality is being widely used not only for Smartphone users but also in industries such as maintenance, construction area. With smartphone, due to the low localization accuracy and the requirement of special infrastructure, current LBS (Localization Based Service) is limited to show P.O.I. (Point of Interest) nearby. Improvement of IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) based deadreckoning is presented in this paper. Additional sensors such as the magnetic compass and magnetic flux sensors are used as well as the accelerometer and the gyro for getting more movement information. Based on the pedestrian movement, appropriate sensor information is selected and the complementary filter is used in order to enhance the accuracy of the localization. Additional sensors are used to measure the movements of the upper body and the head and to provide the user's line of sight.

We investigate velocity oscillations in the active region plage by using the high-spatial, high-spectral and high-temporal resolution spectral data acquired by the Interface Region Imaging Spectrograph (IRIS). From the Mn I $2801.907{\AA}$ (lower chromosphere), C II (lower transition region) and Si IV (middle transition region) lines, we measure the line of sight Doppler velocity at different atmospheric layers, and present results of wavelet analysis of the plage region with a range of periods from 2 to 8 minutes. In addition, we present correlations of the oscillations from the lower chromosphere to the middle transition region. Finally, we will discuss the regional dependence of the oscillation properties on physical properties such as temperature and magnetic field inclination.

Wish to do color that is optical element among element of senses differently and present design. Design concept of this research is emotional lighting design that can receive. It is lighting that equip emotional beauty and ability from modern indoor improving space. I wish to quote emotional lighting design about effect gotten to indoor by sight of designer.

In the present work, we prove the validity of two theorems on null-paths in a version of absolute parallelismgeometry. A version of these theorems has been originally established and proved by Kermak, McCrea and Whittaker (KMW) in the context of Riemannian geometry. The importance of such theorems lies in their applications to derive a general formula for the redshift of spectral lines coming from distant objects. The formula derived in the present work can be applied to both cosmological and astrophysical redshifts. It takes into account the shifts resulting from gravitation, different motions of the source of photons, spin of the moving particle (photons) and the direction of the line of sight. It is shown that this formula cannot be derived in the context of Riemannian geometry, but it can be reduced to a formula given by KMW under certain conditions.
