자기유변댐퍼로 제어되는 비선형 구조물의 멀티플랫폼 해석을 이용한 내진성능평가 (Seismic Performance Assessment of a Nonlinear Structure Controlled by Magneto-Rheological Damper Using Multi-Platform Analysis)

  • The paper introduces Multi-Platform Analysis (MPA) for the seismic performance of a structure controlled by Magneto-Rheological (MR) dampers and presents analytical assessment of the effect of MR damper when taking into account nonlinear behavior of the structure. This paper introduces the MR Damper Plugin that can facilitate communication between MATLAB/Simulink and a finite element analysis tool in order to account for more complex inelastic behavior of the structure with MR dampers. The MPA method using the developed MR Damper Plugin is validated with experimental results from the real-time hybrid simulation. By utilizing the proposed MPA method, the three-story RC structure controlled by MR dampers is more realistically modeled and its performance under seismic loads is investigated. It is concluded that MR damper designed for a linear structure is not effective in a nonlinear structure and can overestimate the effect of MR damper. This work is expected to overcome difficulties in the analytical assessment of structural control strategies for complex and nonlinear structures by obtaining more reliable results.

  • Actual engineering structure is frequently very complex, and parts of structure are designed independently by different engineers. Also each structure contains so many degree of freedom. For these reason, methods have been developed which permits the structure to be divided into components or substructures, with analysis being done on a small substructure in order to obtain a full structural system. In such case, because of different mesh size among finite element model (FEM) or different matching points among FEM models and experimentally obtained models, their interfacing points may be non-matching. Solving this non-matching problem is useful to other application such as structural dynamic modification or model updating. In this work, virtual node concept is introduced. Lagrange multipliers are used to enforce the interface compatibility constraint, and interface displacement is approximated by polynomial presentation. The governing equation of whole structure is derived using hybrid variational principle. The eigenvalue of whole structure are calculated using the determinant search method. The number of degree of freedom in the eigenvalue problem can be drastically reduced to just the number of interface degree of freedom. Some numerical simulation is performed to show usefulness of synthesis method.

300W급 이중 공극 구조 PMSM 설계 및 출력 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Output and Design of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with Dual-gap)

  • This paper suggests the dual-gap for generating power and increasing the torque of a direct-drive permanent magnet synchronous motor in a hybrid-cycle. To consider easy coil winding, we applied a structure of dual-gap for the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). Because the torque of PMSM with the dual-gap is very large, we are designed the appropriate specifications of the PMSM by selected the appropriate dual-gap slot and poles combination. The prototype model is selected by design theory for increasing torque and maximizing output power of PMSM. And the detailed structure design of the model was designed by the loading distribution method. The PMSM models were analyzed by finite element method. Finally, we have suggested appropriate rotor structure has benefit to further increasing torque and prevent decreasing of the output power in PMSM with dual-gap.

  • Linear pulse Motors(LPM) are widely used in fields where smooth linear motion is required, and their position accuracy is higher than other motors. Hybrid linear pulse motors(HLPM) are regarded as an excellent solution to positioning problems that require high accuracy, rapid acceleration and high-speed. The LPM has low mechanical complexity, high reliability, precise open-loop operation and low inertia etc. In many application areas such as factory automation speed positioning, computer peripherals and numerically controlled machine tools, LPM can be used. This motor drive system is especially suitable for machine tools the high position accuracy and repeatability. This paper describes about that need of the embroider machine, we want to design position-scanning device for the embroidery machine. At first, to be analysed characteristics of the machine and next designed the LPM, we used the field analysis program. The finite element method(FEM) program tool is employed for calculation the force. The reluctance models will be used the magnetic permeance of air gap by static-conditions. The forces between forcer and platen have been calculated using the virtual work method. And we used the simulink to know the dynamic characteristics of LPM.

  • Hybrid electric vehicles have attracted much attention of late, emphasizing the necessity of developing traction motors with a high input current and a wide speed range. Among such traction motors, various researches have been conducted on interior permanent-magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMs) with high power density and mechanical solidity. Due to the complexity of its parameters, however, with nonlinear motor characteristics and current vector control, it is actually difficult to accurately estimate the base speed within an actual operating speed range or a voltage limit. Moreover, it is impossible to construct an efficiency map as the efficiency differs according to the control mode. In this study, a simulation method for operation performance considering the nonlinearity of IPMSM was proposed. For this, datasets of various nonlinear parameters were made via the finite-element method and interpolation. Maximum torque-per-ampere and flux-weakening control were accurately simulated using the datasets, and an IPMSM efficiency map was accurately constructed based on the simulation. Lastly, the validity of the simulation was verified through tests.

압축과 비틂을 동시에 받는 복합스터드의 구조적 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structural Performance of Hybrid Studs Subjected to Compression and Torsion)

  • 최근까지 벽식 스틸하우스에 구조재로 주로 적용되어오고 있는 박판냉간성형형강 스터드의 경우 열교현상에 의한 단열상의 문제를가지고 있기 때문에 추가적인 단열재를 사용하여야 한다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 새로운 개념의 아연도금강판(t =1.0mm-1.2mm)과 난연 강화플라스틱(GFRP) 패널 (t=4.0mm-6.0mm)로 구성된 복합스터드가 개발되었다. 복합스터드 패널을 주택 에 적용하기 위하여, 복합스터드의 구조적인 거동 및 내하력 평가를 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 ATTM(Axial/Torsional Test machine)을 이용하여 수행된 압축력과 비틂을 동시에 받는 복합스터드의 실험적인 연구결과를 기술하였다. 압축-비틂 실험의 주요 변수는 복합스터드의 길이, 초기 압축력, 가력방법 등이며, 초기 압축력을 일정하게 유지한 상태에서 스터드 시험체가 종국적인 파괴에 이르도록 비틂 하중을 점차 증가시키는 방법으로 실험을 수행하였다. 또한 고강도 아연도금강판과 GFRP의 기계적인 특성을 고려한 비선형 유한요소해석을 수행하여 실험결과와 비교, 검증하였다.

10MW급 부유식 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템 플랫폼 초기설계를 위한 위상최적화 응용 (Topology Optimization Application for Initial Platform Design of 10 MW Grade Floating Type Wave-wind Hybrid Power Generation System)

  • 본 연구에서는 10 MW급 부유식 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템의 플랫폼 초기 개념설계를 위해 유한요소해석 기반 위상 최적화를 검토하였다. 실제 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템 플랫폼의 위상최적화를 수행하기 전에 단순화된 구조설계 문제를 이용하여 효율적인 위상최적화 이론을 확인하고자 밀도법과 균질화설계법의 두 가지 위상최적화 이론을 적용하였다. 단순화된 설계 문제의 결과로부터 균질화설계법 이론을 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템의 플랫폼 위상최적화에 적용하였다. 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템의 플랫폼 개념설계를 위해서 유한요소해석 모델을 생성하고 설치해역의 해양환경하중을 고려하여 구조해석을 수행하였다. 설계파 및 조류와 같은 해양환경하중으로부터 기인하는 플랫폼 상의 압력과 계류삭의 인장력을 산출하기 위하여 동수력학 해석을 수행하였다. 구조해석을 위한 하중조건은 부유체 동수력학 해석으로부터의 결과와 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템 중량을 고려하였고, 경계조건은 관성제거법을 사용하여 구현하였다. 밀도법 기반 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템 플랫폼의 위상최적화 결과로부터 개념설계 단계에서 주요 구조부재의 배치방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구결과로부터 위상최적화는 부유식 파력-풍력 복합발전 시스템과 같은 새로운 형식의 해양구조물 개발에 있어서 주요 구조부재 배치의 개념설계에 대해 유용한 설계도구임을 확인하였다.

충격 및 바운스 특성 향상을 위한 HEV-Relay의 설계 (Design of HEV-Relay to Improve Impact and Bounce Characteristics)

  • A HEV-relay plays a significant role as a mechanical switch which determines the operation of a gasoline engine or an electric motor in a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV). The HEV-relay has critical two problems in the operating process. First, the unstable current can occur in the operating process of the HEV-relay due to the severe bounce between moving and fixed electrode. Second, noises occur due to impact between electrodes in HEV-relay. In this research, spring properties such as stiffness and initial compression force, and electrode shape are designed to reduce the bounce time and noises caused by impact between moving and fixed electrode. The operating process of HEV-relay is simulated using LS-DYNA3D as explicit finite element code. The optimum spring properties are determined using the response surface method (RSM) as the design methodology, and the electrode shape is newly designed through the modifying the stiffness of moving and fixed electrode.

  • High-speed movement and high-precision machining are the two most important requirements of present machine tool structures to reduce machining time and to increase the precision of products in various industrial fields such as semiconductor, automobile, and mold fabrication. The high speed operation of machine tools tue usually restricted not only by the low stiffness but also by the low damping of machine tool structures, which induces vibration during high speed machining. If the damping of machine tool structures is low, self induced or regenerative vibrations are bound to occur at high speed operation because the natural frequencies of machine tool structures can not be increased indefinitely. Therefore, the high damping capacity of a machine tool structure is an important factor for high speed machine tool structures. Polymer concrete has high potential for machine tool bed due to its good damping characteristics. In this study, a polymer concrete bed combined with welded steel structure i.e., a hybrid structure was desisted and manufactured for a high-speed gantry-type milling machine through static and dynamic analyses using finite element method. Then the dynamic characteristics were tested experimentally.

군 운용환경에서 이차전지 충전을 위한 경량화 DMFC 시스템 개발 (Development of Lightweight DMFC System for Charging Secondary Battery in Military Operational Environment)

  • In this study, we developed 300 W lightweight DMFC system for charging secondary battery in small unit military operation. In order to reduce the volumetric shape and weight of the system considering the environment of the individual soldier's, the arranging of system components has been optimized. A metal bipolar plates made of STS-470FC have been implemented to the DMFC stack to meet the weight demand of the system. As a result of the performance test of the stack, the target value was satisfied by outputting 561 W exceeding 24% of the stack output 450 W required to output 300 W required for the entire system. Moreover, 2,655 hours exceeding 1,000 hours also has been satisfied. To ensure good robustness of the metallic bipolar plate based DMFC stack, finite element method based simulations are conducted using a commercial ANSYS Fluent software.
