  • Generally, the life-span of a multi-housing complex is over 50 years, but in reality they are usually demolished after 20 years in spite of its remaining life expectancy. Thus, this research focuses on the estimation of the optimum economic life-span of a multi-housing complex. To estimate the minimum total cost point of start to finish of a multi-housing complex, we'll apply MAPI(Machinery and Allied Product Institute) and LCC(Life Cycle Cost) theory.

액슬하우징의 온간 후판단조에서 굽힘 변형된 모서리에서 발생하는 두께 감소 방지를 위하여 고안된 금형 시스템 (Die System for Avoiding Thickness Reduction along the Bent Corner in Warm Plate Forging of an Axle Housing)

  • In this paper, a useful die system for warm plate forging of a large axle housing of heavy-duty trucks is presented. A die system composed of material flow guide pin as well as upper die and lower die is proposed to reduce the inherent thickness reduction along the bent corner of the product which deteriorates structural strength and fatigue life in its service. The role of the pin assembled in the upper die is to prevent formation of sharp corner in early forming stage and to supply material in the lower die cavity sufficient enough to thicken the bent corner at the final stroke. The mechanism of the die system is given and its effect on corner thickness of the product is revealed by two-dimensional finite element analysis under plain strain assumption. Three-dimensional finite element solutions are also given to verify validity of the two dimensional approach and to show the mechanics of the die system in detail. The die system has been successfully applied to manufacturing the axle housing of heavy-duty trucks.

LPI 차량용 연료필터하우징 개발 (Development of LPI Vehicle Fuel Filter Housing)

  • 자동차용 LPI 연료필터 하우징의 냉간단조 공정에 대한 성형해석을 수행하였다. 변형과 하중의 분배를 고려하여 금형과 시제품을 제작하였다. 또한 기존 모델과 신규 모델의 유동 특성을 분석하기 위하여, 유동해석을 수행하였다. 유동해석 결과, 두 모델은 동등한 압력강하량을 나타내었다. 기존 제품 대비, 상부 하우징은 16 g, 하부 하우징은 30.5 g이 감소하여, 총 46.5 g의 중량이 감소하였다. 안정성을 검증하기 위해서 기밀시험 및 내압시험을 수행하였으며, 시험 기준을 만족하였다.

  • Traditional housing must be conserved simultaneously with not only the building itself, but the circumstances of the surroundings. Hence, traditional housing should be developed as a product of a culture environment. However, most cultural properties have recently been treated as only a piece of property by irresponsible maintenance practices and damage placed on private traditional housing. Apparently, it has not always been a result of dweller's negligence. Thus, various policies must be needed to effectively preserve traditional housing. To do so, this study will indicate a new direction for the circumstance of preservation through cultural employment of traditional high-class housing as well as reduce maintenance and damage for dweller's convenience. Furthermore, this study will propose a renovation for popularization of Korean cultural assets through the gradual implementation of both economic value and public worth.

  • In this study, small domestic level to examine the development of housing product in terms residential environmental was to determine the spatial plan. And the purpose of this study is to provide a guideline for the lifestyle in small housing. The summary of the result is as follows: 1) Domestic supply and environmental issues in a small housing that drives many are residential. 2) Case of Japan, according to the look she saw a residential environmental assessment items, most services and facilities for the convenience and safety that were. 3)Sustainable development of small houses in order to make various layers sohwahae the development of housing types is needed.

등속조인트 하우징의 냉간단조 공정설계 (Process Sequence Design in Cold Forging of Constant Velocity Joint Housing)

  • A process sequence of multi-operation cold forging for actual application in industry is designed with the rigid-plastic finite element method to form a constant velocity joint housing(CVJ housing). The material flow during the CVJ housing forming is axisymmetric until the final forging process for forming of ball grooves. This study treats the deformation as an axisymmetric case. The main objective of the process sequence design is to obtain preforms which satisfy the design criteria of near-net-shape product requiring less machining after forming. The process sequence design also investigates velocity distributions, effective strain distributions and forging loads, which are useful information in the real process design.

다이캐스팅에 의한 모터 하우징의 금형설계에 관한 연구 (Research on the Mold Design of Motor Housing using Die Casting Process)

  • In this paper, research on the mold design of motor housing produced by the HPDC process was conducted using computer simulations and experiments. Recently, automobile parts have been required to be light and have high strength. The die casting process was used to manufacture automotive motor housings. In the die casting process, the control of casting defects is very important. However, it has usually depended on the experience of the foundry engineer. For the analysis of the manufacturing process of motor housing, the finite element method is applied. Through the simulations using commercial software, the filling pattern and product defects could be confirmed. The analysis results obtained from the filling behavior of the casting process agreed with the experimental results. The computer simulation results of filling behavior were reflected in the optimal mold design of motor housing.

Prediction of Noise & Vibration Effect of Agricultural Tractor Transmission at Design Stage

  • At design stage of the TRXI agricultural tractor transmission (New product of TongYang Moolsan Co., Ltd), the noise and vibration of the transmission were analyzed theoretically for the optimal design of the transmission . For this analysis, the finite element model was developed using a commercial computer software, ANSYS. The noise and vibration of the TRXI transmission housing were predicted by the modal analysis. Natural frequency of the TRXI transmission housing was ranged from 12.53Hz(1st mode ) to 30.05Hz(5th mode). The fifth mode took place at the bearing metal in the area of rear transmission housing and was very close to the gear mesh frequency (30.5Hz) of low rang gear at the low creep shifting . Based on the results , the bearing metal of the range shift housing was reenforced with the rib at design stage.

  • Valve-housing parts in car steering system is a part of steering system and then take charge of the main functions for car steering system to reduce driver's handling-force. Recently it is still not developed reliable casting for many cars, so it produce as a Gravity casting which is more than triple for producing cost in Korea. In this research, we had conducted that 350t aluminum die casting is superior to mechanical property from established over 500t or not for Valve-housing, a parts of steering system which were produced as a cast-iron product and the most suitable conditions to extruding as die casting.
