식민지 신문 '사회면'의 감정정치 -사회적 사실들의 정치적 서사화 (The Society Page of Newspaper of the colonized Korea, its politics of sentiment and modulation of social facts)

  • 이 연구는 1920~1930년대 식민지 시기 신문의 사회면-사회적 보도가 정치적으로 부호화되고 해독되는 양식화의 메커니즘을 분석하고 있다. 민족국가와 정치부재, 그리고 주밀한 검열체제 하에서 신문은 비정치적 장르를 정치화하는 담론전략을 시도하며 사회면은 이 식민지적 맥락 안에서 정치적 언설로 구성되고 해독되었다. 이를 규명하기 위해 첫째 민간지의 사회면의 위상 및 편집방향, 둘째 사회면의 사회적 사실을 생산하기 위한 취재, 조직, 기자, 기사작법, 셋째 사회면을 둘러싼 신문과 기자의 부호화 전략 및 이에 공조하는 독자의 해독 규약을 분석했다. 사회면 또는 사회적 사실의 정치적 양식화는 객관적 사실보다 이면의 심리적 사실을 중시하고, 식민지 현실의 부정적 현상(現狀)에 주목하면서 운명공동체로서 민족적 비참을 형상화하며 뉴스를 극적 구조의 감정적 현실 서사(實事敍辭)로 구성하였다. 사회면은 민족공동체적 감각을 공유하고 유지하는 데 의미를 부여하며 이를 위해 민족적 감정을 동요하는 취재보도와 기사의 양식화를 이룬 것이다. 식민지에서는 모든 사회적 사실들이 정치적 문제로 환원된다는 점을 전제하면 사회면에 배치되는 사회적 사실들에 정치적 함의를 덧씌우기 위한 식민지 지식인/기자들의 전략과 전술, 의도는 식민지 저널리즘의 한 특수한 양상을 드러낸다.

한국 3개 지역의 결혼, 결혼년령 및 출산력에 관한 연구 (AGE AT MARRIAGE AND FERTILITY OF WOMEN IN THREE SELECTED AREAS IN KOREA, 1970)

  • This study is designed to meet the following objectives: (1) To study attitude and behavior regarding marriage and age at marriage, (2) To learn correlates of age at marriage and to examine their relations, (3) To measure relative importance of the correlates of age at marriage, and (4) To study relations of age at marriage and family planning practice to fertility and their relative importance as correlates of fertility. The data are obtained by an independent cross-sectional survey in three study areas purposively selected to represent metropolitan. semihuman. rural population. The study population is confined to women age 17-50 as of survey. The overall response rate is 90%. Reliability of data is measured by . individual and aggregate inconsistency based upon a 15% subsample of the original interviews. The individual inconsistency (31%) is found to be high compared to the aggregate inconsistency (6%) for all 85 variables. However, the magnitude of differences between means is small, and the mean absolute shifts and proportional shifts are also small on the whole. In a word respondents did not change their answers too extremely or radically. The study populations of each study area are compared on some basic characteristics. It is found that the three study populations have more dissimilarities than similarities. The findings on seven different attitudinal positions of women toward marriage indicate that there have been tremendous changes in all study areas Iron "traditional" attitudes which have been prevalent for a long time in Korean society to "liberalized" or "modernized" attitudes. An apparent tendency is that women generally take a position of a "golden mean" attitude by not preferring either extreme of marriage attitudes. Nevertheless, the young, single, educated, and urbanite appears more "liberalized. " There has been some increase in ideal age at marriage from 1958 to 1970 for both sexes. No age group, marital status, or study area differentials in ideal age at marriage are found, the average ideal age at marriage in every sub-group being 24-25. Awareness of existing legal marriageable ages is low; only 4.4% are aware that "with parental permission: minimum age for males is 18 years and for females 16 years,"and only 3.7% are aware that "without parental permission: 27 years for males and 23 years for females." People in Korra tend to marry spouses who are in various social ways like themselves: the similarities include (a) education, occupational status of father, (c) economic status, (d) usual residence before marriage, and (e) religion. Both singulars and actual mean ages at marriage in this study confirm the trend of rising age at marriage previously established by other independent studies. The urban-rural differential in age at marriage is observed, but the differential narrows down gradually from 1935 to 1970. All socio-economic, demographic, and other variables pertaining to wife before and at first marriage, excluding (a) religion, (b) father′s of occupation, and (c) as: of menarche, are correlated with respondent's age at first marriage, whereas only three variables out of all socio-economic variables relating to husband before and at wife′s first marriage, viz., (a) education, (b) usual residence, and (c) economic level of his old home, are correlated with respondent′s age at marriage. Among socio-economic and modernity variables related to either husband or wife at the time of survey, only education and duration of residence are correlated with wife′s age at first marriage. Among the correlates of respondent′age at first marriage, education is in general the most important variable. However, it is found that wife′s education is more important than husband′s. The combined effects or the correlates studied explain no more than about 40% of variance for any of the selected groups of variables. Points which might counteract the effects of late marriage on fertility are not serious in Korea. For each of the correlates of the three fertility indices chosen for this study. namely, (a) number of living children, (b) number of live births, and (c) number of pregnancies, age at marriage is the major contributor to the variance in all age groups except the age group of 20-29 in which the index of family planning practice is the major contributor. The proportion of variability in fertility indices accounted for by the correlates is never more than 40% of the total variance in any age group. Based upon the findings from this study, it could be concluded that in the foreseeable future (a) celibate group will no! be increased to a point that would slow down population growth rate in Korea, (b) age at marriage will not increase continually, (c) although education stands out as the major contributing variable which independently explains the variation in age at marriage, it seems probable that education may not be the major variable in the near future, and (d) despite the fact found by this study that age at marriages has been the major contributor to the variance of each of the fertility indices used, family planning practice will play a more important role in the reduction of fertility in the Korean society. Therefore, factors interrupting practice of family planning must be eliminated and family planning program should be strengthened if further fertility reduction is needed.

사고로 남편을 잃은 여성의 경험 (A Study on Woman's Experience of Being Bereaved of Her Husband by an Accident)

  • Relatively young widows, who are left with young children by a sudden death of their husbands, will be faced with not only psychological troubles such as individual anxiety and frustration but also the dual burden of playing both father and mother roles in a family, Also, family members have difficulty in adapting themselves to new circumstances of the family system, the training and raising of family members, and management of the family economy. In this study, the realistic resources on the experience of middle-aged women who are bereaved of their husbands by accidents were explored. The purpose of this study is to help widows adapt to life in society and live a more positive life by setting a new goals and recovering from a lost and twisted life. 11 women, who have experienced the loss their husbands and live in the Seoul metropolitan area were studied. The research took 116 days from December 15, 1995 to April 8, 1996. The method of research was direct interviews. While having interviews with them, the contents were recorded with their consent. The ground theory was that used by Strauss & Corbin(1990) in the analysis of the data. 81 concepts were analyzed and they were subdirided into 22 subordinate categories through the course of the analysis. These were then classified into 9 general categories. In the course of being categorized, 'absurdity' was showed as a core category. The subordinate categories 'surprise', 'gloom', 'grudge', 'helplessness', 'emptiness', and 'loss' were united in the core category 'absurdity'. Ominous presentiment, belated notice, death, surprise, gloom, grudge, helplessness, emptiness, loss, the situation of the children, lack of support from neighbors, support from neighbors, mulling over ways to live, choosing a job, strengthening, reinforcement, burden, sadness, smoldering, yearning, overcoming these 22 subordinate categories were re-composed into 9 general ones the husband's death, absurdity, presence of children, existence of support, self-support ability, preparation of countermeasures, self-reinforcement, toilsomeness, and overcoming. 'Absurdity' widows experience was shown in the results of 'toilsomeness' and 'overcoming' through reaction, confrontation, and adaptation. According to the analysis the central phenomenon was absurdity, the causal condition of the death of a husband, the presence of children and the existence of support, and the meditated situation of self-support. To solve absurdity, the preparation of countermeasures and self-reinforcements were shown resulting in toilsomeness and overcoming. Through the contrast in the data, the following statements were deduced: (1) If the death of the husband is expected, the more a widow will feel absurdity. (2) The more children she has and the younger she is, the more a widow will feel absurdity. (3) The lower support she is given, the more a widow will feel absurdity. (4) The larger self-ability she has, the more actively she will prepare countermeasures. (5) The smaller self-ability she has, the more passively she will prepare countermeasures. (6) The larger self-ability she has, the weaker self-reinforcement she will preform. (7) The smaller self-ability she has, the stronger self-reinforcement she will perform. (8) The more actively she prepares countermeasures for absurdity, the better she will overcome. (9) The more passively she prepares counter measure for absurdity, the worse she will overcome. (10) The stronger self-reinforcement for absurdity she performs, the better she will overcome. (11) The weaker self-reinforcement for absurdity she performs, the worse she will overcome. Through the results in this study, the following suggested: 1) A study whose object is all family members, and a comparative study on the case of a husband who has lost his wife should be done. These studies can be expected to develop a more refined theory. 2) Because of the collapse of the extended family system and the changes of family culture in Korea, a widow's status and position are apt to be ambiguous between her husband's home and her parent's. Therefore a new study on family culture should be made. 3) A continuous study on growing social Self Help Groups should be requested for the widows of this study to re-establish and recover from their twisted and scattered lives.

한국(韓國).몽고복식(蒙古服飾)의 상관성(相關性) 연구(硏究)(II) - 고려시대(高麗時代)의 몽고침략기(蒙古侵略期)를 중심(中心)으로 - (A Study On Interrelationship Between Korean And Mongolian Costume Laying Emphasis On The Age Of Mongolia's Invasion Upon Corea)

  • A nation's culture isn't consisted by the characteristics of the nation only, but it is greatly affected by the geographical features and natural conditions, and it could be also dominated by the continual effect through mutual contact on economic exchange or social problem and political interests with neighboring countries. It is a well known fact that the contact of culture between Korea and Mongolia established under the special political situation that Corea was invaded by Won. But more basically, the Nomad including Mongolia had influenced upon neighboring countries, therefore, our country was also greatly influenced on consisting of our own culture by them. Moreover. the fact that our language belongs to their language's category(mostly Tweigru and Mongolian language) proves that the origin of our culture was deeply related with Mongolia. Accordingly, we could not limit the cultural relation between Korea and Mongolia within a special era. But especially, since unification of China by Mongolia, Won which appeared as a new great nation had dominated Corea for one hundred years, and the Corea's costume culture had a point of conversion to the mongolian. Therefore, this study expects to comment upon the relations of costume between Corea and Mongolia from a view point of Corea's tribute and royal gifts gifts by Mongolia written on the reference literatures. 1) From the ancient times, between our country and Mongolia there has been a direct or indirect exchange caused by the people's movement or invasion due to very closed neighboring. The relations between Corea and Mongolia have started from the mongolia's requests of tribute for the reason why they helped Corea against the Keoran's invasion, and these relation had continued by King Kongmin's age. 2) Mongolia had plundered a tribute such as dress, cereals, horses, military supplies, soldiers, maiden and little girls etc. from Corea, and therefore, a great confusion occurred on political, economic and social fields. And since King Chungyoul of Corea got married with a Princess of Won, the Corea's position was placed as the Buma nation(nation of son in law) and then high class people of Corea preferred to follow the mongolian costume such as Byunbal (pigtail), Ho dress (mongolian dress), Rouges, Chockturi (a kind of formal cap) and Doturak pigtail ribbon, and some have been applied up to date. On the other hand, the custom of Corea had transmitted to the Mongolian nobility, they called it "Corea Yang(style)". 3) The costume of Corea could be divided into three different periods, the first is the period influenced by Tang and Song's regime, the second is affected by the Won's costume and the third is applying the Myung's regime in the end of Corea. The Mongolian dress was based on the Ho dress form and it has been developed through compounding artistic traditional fields and foreign customs in long history. And Mongolia is composed of various tribes, therefore, they have their own dress for each tribe. Our country and Mongolia had a similar dress form based on Ho dress and both used the Chacksukunggo (jacket with small sleeves and slacks) and Seon(line). And the ornaments of costume such as Chockturi, Doturak pigtail ribbon and Rouges had transmitted and fixed down as a traditional wedding garment, but the Rouges has been used by noble women from the ancient times in our country. Since a member of the Society of Korean Costume has visited Mongolia in August 1990 for the first time, I really recognized the neccesity of more detailed study on the costume relation between Korea and Mongolia, and I will proceed with the study on various fields of costume under cooperation of Institute of Oriental Academy of Mongolia.

통일한국의 여성정책 통합방안에 관한 연구 : 사회복지정책 부문 (Study on Integrating Women's Policies in Unified Korea : Social Welfare Policy)

  • 본 연구는 통일한국의 여성정책중 사회복지정책에 대한 통합방안을 모색하기 위한 것으로 우선 현재 남북한 사회복지정책 중 여성과 밀접한 관련을 갖는 복지관련법과 제도를 중심으로 여성관련 복지정책을 비교 고찰하였다. 남북한은 각기 다른 체제와 이념에 따라 다른 복지정책을 전개하였다. 북한은 초기 사회주의 평등이념에 따라 남녀평등하게 포괄적이고 보편주의적인 정책을 펴고있는 반면, 남한은 자본주의 시장경제 아래 잔여적 형태에서 보편적인 형태로 점진적으로 발전되고 있으나 남성=생계유지자, 여성=피부양자라는 논리하에 여성들은 복지수혜에서 부차적인 위치에 있다. 법과 제도적으로 볼 때 북한여성은 남한여성에 비해 앞선 지위를 보여주고 있으나 현실적으로 보면 남북한여성은 유사한 위치에 있다. 양성이 법적으로 평등하더라도 성별에 따라 다른 사회적 역할을 맡고 있다는 논리와 복지책임을 일차적으로 가족에게 두는 가족주의의 논리가 작용하고 있는 한 복지정책은 여성에게 불평등하게 작용하게 된다. 통일한국의 여성관련 복지정책은 단순히 양체제의 복지정책을 결합하는 것이 아니라 질적으로 한 단계 높은 수준에서 수렴점을 찾아야 한다. 본 연구에서 여성관련 복지정책 방안으로 양성평등사회를 기반으로 여성의 권리로서 성평등권, 사회적 권리로서 사회복지수혜, 탈가족화, 국가책임주의 강화 그리고 사회복지운영과정에서의 여성참여원칙 등 기본적 원리를 바탕으로 하여 사회복지제도의 적용확대, 모성보호 정책 및 여성빈곤과 사회보장을 통한 사회안전망 구축을 제시하였다. 이러한 방안은 결국 진정한 양성평등을 바탕으로 한 사회복지정책의 정립을 의미하며 통일은 남북한 여성들에게 성평등사회를 향한 커다란 전환점이 될 수 있을 것이다.

Perceptional Change of a New Product, DMB Phone

  • Digital Convergence means integration between industry, technology, and contents, and in marketing, it usually comes with creation of new types of product and service under the base of digital technology as digitalization progress in electro-communication industries including telecommunication, home appliance, and computer industries. One can see digital convergence not only in instruments such as PC, AV appliances, cellular phone, but also in contents, network, service that are required in production, modification, distribution, re-production of information. Convergence in contents started around 1990. Convergence in network and service begins as broadcasting and telecommunication integrates and DMB(digital multimedia broadcasting), born in May, 2005 is the symbolic icon in this trend. There are some positive and negative expectations about DMB. The reason why two opposite expectations exist is that DMB does not come out from customer's need but from technology development. Therefore, customers might have hard time to interpret the real meaning of DMB. Time is quite critical to a high tech product, like DMB because another product with same function from different technology can replace the existing product within short period of time. If DMB does not positioning well to customer's mind quickly, another products like Wibro, IPTV, or HSPDA could replace it before it even spreads out. Therefore, positioning strategy is critical for success of DMB product. To make correct positioning strategy, one needs to understand how consumer interprets DMB and how consumer's interpretation can be changed via communication strategy. In this study, we try to investigate how consumer perceives a new product, like DMB and how AD strategy change consumer's perception. More specifically, the paper segment consumers into sub-groups based on their DMB perceptions and compare their characteristics in order to understand how they perceive DMB. And, expose them different printed ADs that have messages guiding consumer think DMB in specific ways, either cellular phone or personal TV. Research Question 1: Segment consumers according to perceptions about DMB and compare characteristics of segmentations. Research Question 2: Compare perceptions about DMB after AD that induces categorization of DMB in direction for each segment. If one understand and predict a direction in which consumer perceive a new product, firm can select target customers easily. We segment consumers according to their perception and analyze characteristics in order to find some variables that can influence perceptions, like prior experience, usage, or habit. And then, marketing people can use this variables to identify target customers and predict their perceptions. If one knows how customer's perception is changed via AD message, communication strategy could be constructed properly. Specially, information from segmented customers helps to develop efficient AD strategy for segment who has prior perception. Research framework consists of two measurements and one treatment, O1 X O2. First observation is for collecting information about consumer's perception and their characteristics. Based on first observation, the paper segment consumers into two groups, one group perceives DMB similar to Cellular phone and the other group perceives DMB similar to TV. And compare characteristics of two segments in order to find reason why they perceive DMB differently. Next, we expose two kinds of AD to subjects. One AD describes DMB as Cellular phone and the other Ad describes DMB as personal TV. When two ADs are exposed to subjects, consumers don't know their prior perception of DMB, in other words, which subject belongs 'similar-to-Cellular phone' segment or 'similar-to-TV' segment? However, we analyze the AD's effect differently for each segment. In research design, final observation is for investigating AD effect. Perception before AD is compared with perception after AD. Comparisons are made for each segment and for each AD. For the segment who perceives DMB similar to TV, AD that describes DMB as cellular phone could change the prior perception. And AD that describes DMB as personal TV, could enforce the prior perception. For data collection, subjects are selected from undergraduate students because they have basic knowledge about most digital equipments and have open attitude about a new product and media. Total number of subjects is 240. In order to measure perception about DMB, we use indirect measurement, comparison with other similar digital products. To select similar digital products, we pre-survey students and then finally select PDA, Car-TV, Cellular Phone, MP3 player, TV, and PSP. Quasi experiment is done at several classes under instructor's allowance. After brief introduction, prior knowledge, awareness, and usage about DMB as well as other digital instruments is asked and their similarities and perceived characteristics are measured. And then, two kinds of manipulated color-printed AD are distributed and similarities and perceived characteristics for DMB are re-measured. Finally purchase intension, AD attitude, manipulation check, and demographic variables are asked. Subjects are given small gift for participation. Stimuli are color-printed advertising. Their actual size is A4 and made after several pre-test from AD professionals and students. As results, consumers are segmented into two subgroups based on their perceptions of DMB. Similarity measure between DMB and cellular phone and similarity measure between DMB and TV are used to classify consumers. If subject whose first measure is less than the second measure, she is classified into segment A and segment A is characterized as they perceive DMB like TV. Otherwise, they are classified as segment B, who perceives DMB like cellular phone. Discriminant analysis on these groups with their characteristics of usage and attitude shows that Segment A knows much about DMB and uses a lot of digital instrument. Segment B, who thinks DMB as cellular phone doesn't know well about DMB and not familiar with other digital instruments. So, consumers with higher knowledge perceive DMB similar to TV because launching DMB advertising lead consumer think DMB as TV. Consumers with less interest on digital products don't know well about DMB AD and then think DMB as cellular phone. In order to investigate perceptions of DMB as well as other digital instruments, we apply Proxscal analysis, Multidimensional Scaling technique at SPSS statistical package. At first step, subjects are presented 21 pairs of 7 digital instruments and evaluate similarity judgments on 7 point scale. And for each segment, their similarity judgments are averaged and similarity matrix is made. Secondly, Proxscal analysis of segment A and B are done. At third stage, get similarity judgment between DMB and other digital instruments after AD exposure. Lastly, similarity judgments of group A-1, A-2, B-1, and B-2 are named as 'after DMB' and put them into matrix made at the first stage. Then apply Proxscal analysis on these matrixes and check the positional difference of DMB and after DMB. The results show that map of segment A, who perceives DMB similar as TV, shows that DMB position closer to TV than to Cellular phone as expected. Map of segment B, who perceive DMB similar as cellular phone shows that DMB position closer to Cellular phone than to TV as expected. Stress value and R-square is acceptable. And, change results after stimuli, manipulated Advertising show that AD makes DMB perception bent toward Cellular phone when Cellular phone-like AD is exposed, and that DMB positioning move towards Car-TV which is more personalized one when TV-like AD is exposed. It is true for both segment, A and B, consistently. Furthermore, the paper apply correspondence analysis to the same data and find almost the same results. The paper answers two main research questions. The first one is that perception about a new product is made mainly from prior experience. And the second one is that AD is effective in changing and enforcing perception. In addition to above, we extend perception change to purchase intention. Purchase intention is high when AD enforces original perception. AD that shows DMB like TV makes worst intention. This paper has limitations and issues to be pursed in near future. Methodologically, current methodology can't provide statistical test on the perceptual change, since classical MDS models, like Proxscal and correspondence analysis are not probability models. So, a new probability MDS model for testing hypothesis about configuration needs to be developed. Next, advertising message needs to be developed more rigorously from theoretical and managerial perspective. Also experimental procedure could be improved for more realistic data collection. For example, web-based experiment and real product stimuli and multimedia presentation could be employed. Or, one can display products together in simulated shop. In addition, demand and social desirability threats of internal validity could influence on the results. In order to handle the threats, results of the model-intended advertising and other "pseudo" advertising could be compared. Furthermore, one can try various level of innovativeness in order to check whether it make any different results (cf. Moon 2006). In addition, if one can create hypothetical product that is really innovative and new for research, it helps to make a vacant impression status and then to study how to form impression in more rigorous way.

가족발달단계에 따른 간호요구영역에 관한 연구 (Study of The Area of Nursing Need by the Family Developmental Stage)

  • The Community Health Service considers the family as a service unit and places the emphasis of its service on the health problems and the nursing needs of the family rather than the individual. From the conceptual point of view that tile community health service is both health maintenance and health promotion of the family, the community health nurse should have a knowledge of the growth and development of the family and be responsible for the comprehensive support of normal family development. The community health nurse often is in a position to make a real contribution to normal family development. In order to investigate the relationship between the areas of nursing need and family development, the following objectives were established 1. To discover the general characteristics of the study population by the stage of family development. 2. To discover specific nursing needs in relation to the family developmental stage, and to determine the intensity of the nursing needs and the ability of the family to cope with these needs. 3. To discover overall family health nursing problems in relation to the family developmental stage and determine the intensity of the nursing need and the problem solving ability of family. Definitions : The family developmental stages as classified by Dually were used stage 1. Married couples(without children) stage 2. Childbearing Families (oldest child birth to 30 months of age) stage 3. Families with preschool children (oldest child 2½-to 6 years) stage 4. Families with schoolchildren (oldest child 6 to 13 years). stage 5. Families with teenagers (oldest child 13 to 20 years) stage 6. Families as launching centers (first child gone to last child′s leaving home). stage 7. Middle- aged parents (empty nest to retirement) stage 8. Aging family member (retirement to death of both spouses) The areas of nursing need were defined as those used in the study, "A Comprehensive Study about Health and Nursing Need and a Social Diagram of the Community", by tile Nursing research Institute and Center for population. and Family Planning, July 1974. The study population defiled and selected were 260 nuclear families ill two myron of Kang Hwa Island. Percent, mean value and F- test were utilized in tile statistical analysis of the study result. General characteristics of the study population by tile family developmental stage ; 1)The study population was distributed by the family developmental stage as follows : stage 1 : 3 families stage 2 : 13 families stage 3 : 24 families stage 4 : 41 families stage 5 : 50 families stage 6 : 106 families stage 7 : 13 families stage 8 : 10 families 2) Most families had 4 or 5 members except for those in stage, 1, 7, and 8. 3) The parents′ present age was older in the higher developmental stage and their age at marriage was also younger in the higher developmental stages. 4) The educational level of parents was primarily less than elementary school irrespective of the developmental stage. 5) More than half of parents′ occupations were listed as laborers irrespective of the developmental stage, 6) More than half of the parents were atheists irrespective of the developmental stage. 7) The higher the developmental stage(from stage 2 to stage 6 ), the wider the distribution of children′s ages. 8) More than half of the families were of middle or lower socio-economic level. 2. Problems in specific areas of nursing need by family developmental stage, the intensity of nursing need and the problem solving ability of the family : 1) As a whole, many problems, irrespective of the developmental stage, occurred in tile areas of Housing and Sanitation, Eating Patterns, Housekeeping, Preventive Measures and Dental care. Problems occurring ill particular stages included the following ; stage 1 : Prevention of Accident stage 2 : Preventive Vaccination, Family Planning. stage 3 : Preventive Vaccination, Maternal Health, Family Planning, Health of Infant and Preschooler. stage 4, 5 : Preventive Vaccination, Family Planning, Health of School Children. stage 6 : Preventive Vaccination, Health of School Children. 2) The intensity of the nursing need in the area of Acute and Chronic Diseases was generally of moderate degree or above irrespective of the developmental stages except for stage 1. Other areas of need listed as moderate or above were found in the following stages: stage 1 : Maternal Health stage 3 . Horsing and Sanitation, Prevention of Accident. stage 4 . Housing and Sanitation. stage 5 : Housing and Sanitation, Diagnostic and Medical Care. stage 6 : Diagnostic and Medical care stage 7 : Diagnostic and Medical Care, Housekeeping. stage 8 : Housing and Sanitation, Prevention of Accident, Diagnostic and Medical Care, Dental Care, Eating Patterns, Housekeeping. 3) Areas of need with moderate problem solving ability or less were as follows : stage 1 : Diagnostic and Medical Care, Maternal Health. stage 2 : Prevention of Accident, Acute and Chronic Disease, Dental Care. stage 3 : Housing and Sanitation, Acute and Chronic Disease, Diagnostic and Medical Care, Preventive Measure, Dental Care, Maternal Health, Health of Infant and preschooler, Eating Patterns. stage 4 : Housing and Sanitation, Prevention of Accident, Diagnostic and Medical Care, Preventive Measure, Dental Care, Maternal Health, Health of New Born, Health of Infant and Preschooler, Health of school Children, Eating Patterns, Housekeeping. stage 5 . Problem occurrence, the degree of nursing need and the degree of problem solving ability 1 nursing need areas for the family as a whole were as follows : 1) The higher the stages(except stage 1 ), the lower the rate of problem occurrence. 2) The higher the stage becomes, the lower the intensity of the nursing need becomes. 3) The higher the stages (except stages 7 and 8), the higher. the problem solving ability. Conclusions ; 1) When the nursing care plan for the family is drawn up, depending upon the stage of family development, higher priority should be give to nursing need areas ① at which problems were shown to occur ② where the nursing need is shown to be above moderate degree and ③ where the problem solving ability was shown to be of moderate degree. 2) The priority of the nursing service should be Placed ① not on those families in the high developmental stage but on those families in the low developmental stage ② and on those areas of need shown in stages 7 and 8 where the degree nursing need was high and the ability to cope low.

동해안굿 전승자 학습 변화의 의미 (The Implications of Changes in Learning of East Coast Gut Successors)

  • 동해안굿은 대한민국의 동해안 일대 해안선을 따라 강원도 고성 일대에서 부터 부산지역에 이르기까지 어촌마을에서 행해지는 굿이다. 동해안굿은 거의 세습무를 중심으로 연행되는데, 이 논문은 동해안굿의 세습무 집단 중 김석출 무계의 학습 양상을 세습무와 학습무로 구분하여 살펴보고 이를 토대로 변화하고 있는 동해안굿 학습 양상이 가진 의미를 규명하는 데 의의가 있다. 세습무는 집이 곧 교육 현장이었다. 어릴 때부터 굿판에 따라다니며 소리며 춤을 연행하게 해보아 실전경험을 쌓을 수 있었다. 그러나 대를 이어 무업을 계승해오던 세습무 가계에서 더 이상 자손들이 무업을 이어받지 않게 되면서 무업의 계승과 학습 방식에 변화가 발생했다. 1980년대 이후부터 굿이 가, 무, 악이 어우러진 종합예술로 인정받아 국가 및 각 시도 무형문화재로 지정받고, 예술대학 등에서 전공교육과정으로 편성되어 무속을 전공한 새로운 학습무들이 등장하게 되었다. 이들 학습무는 대학, 동해안별신굿보존회, 굿이 진행되는 현장 등에서 동해안별신굿의 연희 능력을 체계적으로 전승받고 있다. 시대의 변화에 따라 세습무가 학습무들을 받아들여 무업을 계승해나가며 굿의 연행 집단과 굿을 수용하는 마을 사람들의 인식에도 변화가 나타났다. 과거와 달리 굿이 한국전통예술의 원형으로 가무악 총체적 학습의 산물로 인정받으며 국가무형문화재로 지정을 받게 됨으로써 무당의 사회적 지위와 개인적 자존감이 매우 높아지게 되었다. 과거 천시 당하던 무당이 아닌 대내외적으로 인정받는 전통예술인으로 자리 잡게 되면서 굿 현장이나 마을사람들과의 관계에서도 그 지위나 대우가 많이 달라졌다. 마을 구성원들도 무집단의 세대가 변화함에 따라 과거와 달리 새로운 학습적인 요소들이 첨가된 것에 대해 인정하고 수용하는 입장을 취하고 있다. 마을단위에서도 전통적인 굿의 형식이나 제의만을 주장하기보다 마을 주민 모두가 함께 어우러질 수 있는 축제 형식이나 다양한 굿의 방향성을 고민하고 있다. 변화하는 굿의 흐름과 신진 세대의 적응에서 새로운 의미를 찾아나가고 있는 것이다. 급변하는 시대의 흐름에 따라 굿판이 점점 축소되는 현실 속에서 동해안굿은 다른 지역 굿에 비해 아직까지는 활발히 연행되고 있다. 힘겹게 동해안굿을 보존해 온 세습무의 뒤를 이어 학습무들이 활발히 유입되고, 연행 집단이 굿의 전통을 보존하는 한편, 굿을 예술 콘텐츠로 활용하기 위해 애쓰고 있기 때문이다. 또한 학습무들은 세습무로부터 배워 온 무속의 학습을 체계적으로 정리하여 후대에 최대한 원형에 가깝게 전승하고자 준비하고 노력하고 있다. 앞으로도 동해안굿은 마지막 세습무의 대를 이어 학습무들이 전통을 계승하고 시대에 맞춰 발전시켜 나갈 것이다.

곡성 함허정(涵虛亭)의 경관짜임과 의미경관 (The Landscape Configuration and Semantic Landscape of Hamheo-pavilion in Gokseong)

  • 본 연구는 곡성 함허정(전남유형문화재 제160호)을 중심으로 '현장조사 문헌조사 인터뷰' 등의 연구방법을 토대로 연구대상 일원의 풍수형국과 경관짜임 및 조영의도 그리고 의미경관의 특성을 추적한 것이다. 함허정 일원의 입지 및 조망적 조영특성의 분석과 해석의 일환으로, 함허정 일원의 경관상에 드러난 호혜적 자연관과 경관짜임이 어떠한 형태 및 방식으로 표출되었는가를 구체적으로 밝힌 연구결과는 다음과 같이 축약된다. 첫째, 함허정은 심광형(沈光亨, 1510~1550)이 중종30년(1535)에 군촌(현(現). 전남 곡성군 입면 제월리)에 처소 및 강학을 위한 군지촌정사를 창건한 이후, 지근거리에 1543년 학문연구와 유식(遊息)을 위해 지은 누정이다. 함허정과 군지촌정사가 자리한 군촌마을은 순자강(섬진강)을 마주한 전형적인 배산임수 국면인데, 진산인 동악산은 소가 강가에 누워 한가로이 되새김질 하는 와우형(臥牛形)으로 해석되며, 함허정 일원은 목동(牧童)이 강가에서 피리를 부는 형국으로 와우(臥牛)가 적초(積草案, 풀더미)를 구비하여 평안과 풍요를 누릴 수 있는 길처로 회자된다. 특히, 함허정 뒷동산은 거북이 용궁으로 입수하는 혈맥으로 거북(또는 자라)의 등 위에 앉은 건물[구형(龜形)]이 함허정이며, 절벽 아래 남측의 하중암도(河中巖島)인 구암조대(龜巖釣臺)와 용암(龍巖)은 거북이 지향한 해중 신선경(海中 神仙景)으로 해석된다. 둘째, 함허정은 곡성8경의 제3경 순강청풍과 제9경 설산낙조(雪山落照)의 풍광시점장이면서, 곡성 입면8경의 제2경 함허순자와 제3경 천마귀암(天馬歸岩)의 풍광시점이기도 하다. 한편 음양접합과 같은 '산태극(山太極) 수태극(水太極)'으로 배열된 순자강5곡의 제4곡 경물로서 도학 및 성리학적 토포스로 본 초월적 풍경이자 감각적 투시를 통한 굽음의 미학으로 재생산되고 있다. 특히 비변사인방안지도(18C 중엽)와 옥과현지(1788년) 등에 순자강5곡 중 제2곡 합강정과 제4곡 호연정(함허정), 그리고 제3곡 무진정이 묘사되었음을 볼 때 순자강5곡 경물은 피안(彼岸)과 차안(此岸)의 세계를 넘나들며 선경세계로 귀의하는 장소정체성은 물론 조선후기 명소적 연계경관으로서의 지명도를 엿볼 수 있다. 셋째, 비워둠의 미학이 절묘하게 드러난 함허정은 상수리나무 굴참나무 소나무 등 노거수 수림경관, 구암조대와 용암, 첩석(疊石) 등 바위경관, 군촌마을 문화경관 등이 지근경(至近景)으로 펼쳐지고, 중경요소로 순자강 평호(平湖)와 마산봉, 고리봉 등이 산악경관으로 조망되며, 동쪽에서 서쪽으로 고리봉 마산봉 무등산 설산 등이 개방성 강한 $180^{\circ}$ 조망범위로 펼쳐진다. 특히 군지촌정사의 사랑채인 망서재(望瑞齋)의 당호는 "서석산(瑞石山)을 전망하는 집"이라는 뜻을 갖는데, 조산인 무등산과 설산을 앙경(仰景)하는 등 다채로운 차경(읍경(揖景), 환경(環景), 원근(遠近), 앙부경관(仰俯景觀))에 대한 조망지향적 의도가 중층적(中層的) 경관짜임을 통해 구현되고 있다. 넷째, 실존[주거(住居) 강학처(講學處)]과 이상향[누정(樓亭) 재실(齋室)]이 접합된 군지촌 정주환경의 살림집[제월당], 강학처[군지촌정사], 누정[함허정], 재실[구암사, 청송심씨 4현 배향] 및 묘역 등은 '생성-풍요-초월-회귀'로 이어지는 사대부들의 생애주기와 관련한 의미론적 연계경관으로 인식된다. 특히 함허정 관련 시문은 순자강 일대의 가경 예찬과 유유자적한 삶에 대한 호혜적 자연관 묘사가 주를 이루고 있음을 주지할 때, 함허정은 자연귀의와 안분지족의 요체이자 거점처이며, 수심양성(修心養性)하는 은일지소로서의 현학성이 형이상학적 의미경관으로 표출된다.
