도시 저소득층소비자의 경제문제에 관한 연구 - 서울과 인천의 주부를 중심으로 (A Study on the Economic Problems of Urban Low-income Families)

  • This study attempts to explain the income and consumption problems of urban low-income consumers and to explore factors of their poverty. For the purpose of this study, interviews were conducted with 124 low-income home managers. All the subjects live in Seoul and Inchon. The major findings are: First, low-income families seriously suffer from low income and small property. And the degree of economic hardship is the most serious with wife-working families whose husbands have no job or are dead. Second, low-income consumers have low budgeting and purchasing skill. Third, low-income consumers have 'doing' orientation but have fatalistic value orientation. This study suggests that it is necessary to develop an integrative measurement of economic hardship. It also suggests that low level of low-income consumer's skill can be well explained in terms of man-nature value orientation.

소규모 의류소매업체의 경영실패에 관한 질적 연구 (The Qualitative Research on Managerial Failure in Small Apparel Retailers)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the causes of managerial failure in small apparel retailers by using the qualitative research method. The study was performed by interviews from thirteen owners/managers who experienced failure as small apparel retailers from November 2003 to February 2004. The causes of failure in the small apparel businesses were human related problems, marketing strategy problems, marketing mix, weak managerial ability, and business environment related problems. Of special interest was causes such as incomplete legal documents with franchisers, unexpected tax investigation from the office of National Tax Administration(NTA), sexual discrimination for women owners, and incapable risk management. It is interesting to note that tax investigation by NTA and sexual discrimination in the business custom were shown as the main causes of business failure in Korea.

매체, 소비자, 제품 특성이 지각된 위험과 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Media, Consumer, and Product Characteristics on Perceived Risk and Purchasing Intention)

  • The purpose of this study is to be aware of the relationship between the perceived risk and purchasing intention after investing the impacts by 3 factors-consumer, media, and product characteristics on the perceived risk. The influence on perceived risk is categorized based on the 3 factors' combinations. The result of this study shows that the each characteristics of media, consumer, and product affect consumer's perceived risk and also this risk is affected by the relationship among these 3 independent variables. These results mean that the consumer's perceived risk about buying goods at the internet shopping mall or TV home shopping cannot be measured by a single dimension. Finally, it has a negative relationship between the perceived risk and purchasing intention. Implications for managers' use of shopping media are discussed in terms of the product and media characteristics fit.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a scheme for standardization of the apartment management expenses levy focused on the apartments of the individual heating system in Busan. The researcher with apartment managers and executive secretaries of Busan Citizen's Coalition for Economic Justice performed a scheme for standardization through discussion of 20 times as well as investigation of theoretical literature.     • The purpose of this study was to develop a evaluation system of customer service department operation in business. Four sources including related literature, managers of 4 outstanding customer service departments, SOCAP, and 7 OCAP administrative members provided useful information in various ways. The finally suggested evaluation system is consisted of three parts; work to do, resources needed, and operation standards. It is the type of checklist, which business can utilize it to examine whether they are doing well or not in terms of customer service department operation.

    Development of Educational Components of Managerial Cost Accounting for Nurses

    • Purpose: In accordance with changes in the healthcare environment, it is necessary to understand managerial cost accounting for nurses. This study aimed to develop educational components of managerial cost accounting for nurses. Methods: This study is comprised of a comprehensive literature review, nominal group technique using focus group interview, audit by an expert group, and priority analysis. Results: The comprehensive literature review identified 15 educational components of managerial cost accounting. In the nominal group technique, the participants finally agreed on eight educational components of managerial cost accounting for nurses. The average content validity index of these components was 0.99. "Activity-based costing" scored the highest for relative importance (15.7%). Conclusions: These results can be used to develop an education program to strengthen nurses' managerial cost accounting competencies. Furthermore, it will be helpful to use a basis for the development of cost management curricula for nursing students and on-the-job training courses of nurse managers and executives.

    • The nursing home for the elderly has a weak point for evacuation from the fire because most of all the users are suffering from a dementia or paralysis. When it comes to night shift, it is much difficult to get them evacuated due to the lack of staffs. In addition to that, the nursing home for the elderly has such a strict control system for access that does not have a utility for escape opening. That is why they need the differentiated evacuation planning. This study is to consider the point at issues on the present conditions of law, system, and evacuation plans for the nursing home for the elderly that has some difficulties because of impaired functions of residences. This study dealt with the point at facilities and operations of the emergency evacuation system. First of all, for the point at the facilities, I found that it need to be considered on the characteristics of the elderly who has any difficulties of the self evacuation. And the established regulation did not reflect the characteristics of closed area of the nursing home for the elderly. The second, for the point at the operation of the institutions, it is pointed that there seems to be a lack of ways to manage to a emergency situation and educations on the operation staff. And the last, for the point at the operation, the requirement for the managers of fire prevention facilities are similar to that of a normal building. Furthermore there is a lack of corporation with the fire station.

    재택근무가 업무 생산성에 미치는 영향과 업무 특성의 조절 효과: 대규모 현장 데이터를 활용한 실증 분석 (The Productivity Impact of Working from Home and the Moderating Effect of Task Characteristics: An Empirical Investigation of Field Data)

    • Purpose - This study aims to empirically identify the quantitative effects of work from home (WFH) on employee productivity using field data. Design/methodology/approach - Based on large-scale field data from a South Korean company which introduced the WFH arrangement in 2020, we conducted fixed effect and moderating effect analyses using individual-level panel data over sixty-three weeks. Findings - The empirical analysis generated several findings. It was found that overall, WFH has a positive effect on productivity. However, the productivity impact of WFH was found to vary depending on task characteristics. Specifically, WFH led to over 20% increase in productivity for simple and repetitive tasks. On the other hand, no significant productivity impact was observed for professional and knowledge-based tasks. Research implications or Originality - As the first study based on field data from South Korea, this study offers convincing causal evidence of the moderating impact of task characteristics on the relationship between WFH and productivity. Further, the above findings provide managers with practical insights concerning their work arrangement decisions.

    샵매니저를 위한 비주얼 머천다이징 수업에의 문제중심학습 (PBL) 적용 사례 연구 (A Case Study on the Application of Visual merchandising (PBL) for Shop Manager)

    • This study presents a case of a visual merchandising course adopting a problem-based learning (PBL) model, as a part of shop manager training program for high school students. Various vocational training classes are actively developed for vocational high schools, yet programs in the home economics area are relatively lacking. In particular, education programs for shop manager training are urgently required due to the high demand of this job in the fashion industry. The PBL model, which reflects constructionist learning theory, is considered for this visual merchandising course in order to help develop the ability of students to creatively apply their knowledge on real-world problems through self-driven learning. For the purpose of job analysis, two problem areas were identified through interviews conducted with shop managers who work for apparel shops in department stores. Based on the results of the interviews, professors and high school teachers developed two PBL instructional modules. The developed module courses were implemented with 2 classes of vocational high school students. The learning outcome was examined through the analysis of a student survey and reflection journals. It was apparent that the PBL courses effectively attracted the interests of learners in vocational training and improved their understanding of the contents as well as cooperation skills. The results of this study indicate that implementing the PBL model for the training of store managers can contribute to the vocational training programs for high school students.

    자가격리장치에서의 본인 인증 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Self-Authentication Method in Home Quarantine Equipment)

    • 2015년 5월 첫 중동호흡기증후군 사례가 발생하여 환자 186명, 사망자 38명이 발생하고 16,693명을 격리하였다. 정부에서는 MERS 감염의 확산을 차단하기 위하여 확진 또는 의심환자와 접촉한 사람에 대한 모니터링을 시행하였다. 관리 담당자는 자가격리자에 대해 최대 잠복기인 14일 동안 1일 2회 감시를 실시하여 격리 준수 여부 등을 확인하였다. 그러나 격리대상자가 폭발적으로 증가하면서 관리 인력의 한계로 거주지 이탈자 발생 등의 문제가 발생하였다. 또한 관리자들은 하루에 두세번 전화로만 상태를 체크하다 보니 자가 격리 생활 수칙은 유명무실해졌으며 격리자들이 무단으로 외출할 경우 이를 통제하기란 사실상 불가능하다고 인정했다. 이에 본 논문에서는 자가격리장치 및 본인 인증 방법을 제안하고 검증하였다. 검증결과 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 추후 자가격리장치 및 본인인증방법으로 사용되는데 전혀 문제가 없을 것으로 판단된다.
