The purpose of this study is to analyze how the emphasis of the 2007 curriculum revision is reflected on the units of 'Adolescence Self-Management' and 'Adolescence Consumption life' in the Technology·Home Economics textbooks that are used in middle school from this year. The entry style of large, middle, and small units, the objectives statements, the main contents, the activities, illustrations/tables/pictures, the supplemental materials, and the ending style of middle and large units of 12 Technology·Home Economics textbooks were analyzed. Among the several specific emphasis in the 2007 curriculum revision, 3 major emphasis were selected. The 3 major emphasis that were selected were: practical reasoning process, sustainable consumption life, and career education. How these 3 emphasis were reflected in the various parts of the 12 textbooks were analyzed using the criteria found in the literature. Thesedays, Home Economic in Korea is faced with the danger of a discord caused by the outer pressure of reorganization in the process educational reformation. The first purpose of this study was to examine the characteristics of the informatized society and the changes of families lived in the informatized society. The second was to assert to strengthen Home Economics in the informatized society. Ultimately we suggested an integrative and interdisciplinary model about Home Economics from the ecological and informative perspective. This model consist with three parts: Human development(Child studies, Gerontology, & Adolescent studies) and family studies division(Family relation studies, family resource management studies, & Consumer studies) Environmental division(Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition, & Housing) and HEIS(Home Economics Information System). This classification is correspond with the one Human-Behavioral Environment and Human-Constructed Environment of Ecological theory.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning of housework for home education. The methodology applied in this study bases on reinterpretation of references concerned with 'housework' and 'education'. The meaning of housework for home education can be analyzed in three aspects, that is, individual, domestic, and social aspect. Houseworkers be capable of developing their physical, emotional, cognitive, and social ability through houseworks. What is more, they are to internalize the culture of home and society. The meaning of housework for home education, however, has gradually been forgotten in people's mind with the appearance of rationalism of modern society. The particular process of modernization in our country has uncovered the negative aspect of housework and continually emphased that point. Thus now people consider housework as only something troublesome. The conclusion of this study is that, for the purpose of our 'noble life as man', we should recover and emphasize the importance of the meaning of housework for home education. The purpose of this study was to analyze the contents of middle school technology and home economics textbooks(family life area) that reflect the school career education goals and achievement standards in the 2015 revision of the Technology and Home Economics curriculum. Five different textbooks on middle school technology and home economics written based on the 2015 curriculum were selected and the school career education goals and achievement standards developed by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (2021) were used as a framework for textbook analysis. The results are as follows. First, the units that cover career education contents the most were 'life design and career choice(n=87)', 'developmental characteristics of adolescents(n=36)', and 'low birth rate, aging society, and work and family balance(n=31)'. The major contents of career education covered in technology and home economics textbooks(family life area) were 'search for various professionals(24.30%)', 'exploration of the changes in the future society(22.74%)', and 'exploration of the changes in the job world(18.66%)'. Thus it was found that the goals and achievement standards of school career education are evenly reflected in the middle school technology and home economics textbooks(family life area) based on the 2015 curriculum.

The purpose of this study was to analyse the factors that influence marital conflicts and family life statisfaction, and to predict the future stage of establishment family and extending family, bsed on the theretical model by system approach. For this pourpose, 336 couples of urban households in Seoul were selected. The data were analysed through statistical methods such as, Frequency, percentile, T-test, F-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis. The results were as follow : The Martial Conflict and family life satisfaction of surveyed couples were above middle level. It had significantly differences according to family life cycle, husband and wife's educationed levels, husband and wife's occupations, and family income. And Family life satisfaction had significantly differences according to marital conflict. The marital conflict is higher, life satisfaction is lower. In this study, it were appeared that the amount of marital conflict and life satisfaction had differences according to life cycle stages, husband and wife's educational level, husband and wife occupations, and family income, and so that the conflict of phsycho-social system was more affected on family life satisfaction that of managerial system. Such results were indicated that the birth of children was the critical family event affecting on family life satisfaction on and the marital conflict. But the conflict by family's given resources and situational differences also as an environment affection on the family system.

The purpose of this study is to analysis the effects of religious activities on adolescents' life satisfaction. For this purpose, we surveyed the general trend of adolescents' religious activities and life satisfaction as well as life satisfaction according to demographical variables. In addition, this study analyzed adolescents' life satisfaction according to variables related to individual adolescents' religious activities and to parents' religious activities. The analyses of the results are as follows. First, since the childhood, adolescents have been participated in religious activities habitually or by enforcement or encouragement of their acquaintances. However, most adolescents think that the main purposes of their religious activities are a receiving grace and self-growing. So, they are willing to participate in worship service and spiritual training camp. Second, adolescents' life satisfaction was high when they got a high grade in school or they felt their health condition is good. The life satisfaction of adolescents who belong to economically high class families and whose fathers were college graduates or above is high. Third, the facts that effect on adolescent's life satisfaction are not how long they spend their time on religious activity, but the contents, motives and purposes of religious activities and satisfaction with religious activities. Fourth, adolescents' life satisfaction was high when their parents have same religion to them and their fathers participated in religious activities and their mothers did not participate in religious activities.

Korean society is experiencing an increase in multicultural families and single households. The incidence of the MERS, epidemic in 2015, and the subsequent cases of child abuse have been major shocks to Korean society. In addition, there has been a steady increase in household debt, that is in danger of causing a serious crisis in the stability of our society and the family. The current demand for increased accountability in the democratic process is becoming an important topic. There is also an increased awareness of natural disaster preparation due to local earthquakes that have caused concern. At this point, the lifelong education in the home economics education field in Korea is in line with the changes and crises of various societies. Problems related to family life that have happened in the real life of learners stand in the place of the study with preventive character. It should provide the best alternative for family, home, and society, and help to overcome the problems of life. In order for lifelong education to respond to these social changes $vis-{\grave{a}}-vis$ Home Economics Education, it is necessary to develop: 'formation and improvement education of family relationship', 'crisis prevention and management coping ability training', 'safety education', 'learning communication and consensus processes', 'consumer culture education', 'ethics education on environment and resources', 'sustainability education', 'local education of family relationship', 'crisis prevention and management coping ability training', 'safety education', 'learning communication and consensus processes', 'consumer culture education', 'ethics education on environment and resources', 'sustainability education', 'local economic activation education', and other topics of lifelong education topics related to the field of Home Economics Education are required. Consequently, various related programs should be further developed and disseminated.

This study investigated the relationship between mothers'psychological life position and children's social-emotional development. Subject consisted of 303 children and their mothers enrolled in preschool at Seoul. A sample of mothers completed the questionnaire and teachers rated the social-emotional development instrument. The results showed that children's social-emotional development differed according to their gender and age. And there were differences between mothers'psychological life position as a function of educational level and employment status. Mothers'psychological life position was related to their children's social-emotional development.

The purpose of the study was to investigate relationships among life satisfaction of the elderly in poor health conditions, their self esteem, health and financial status, family relationships, and social participation. A structured questionnaire was used to interview 228 elderly who were randomly selected from Sungbuk-ku, Seoul. The regression analysis showed the most powerful predictors of life satisfaction of the poor-health elderly were self esteem, relationships with their adult children, perceived financial status, relationships with grandchildren, and the amount of allowances in that order These variables accounted for 39% of life satisfaction of the sample.

The purpose of this study is to prepare desirable elderly housing facilities system in compliance with various characteristics of each region and to help establish policies regarding elderly housing facilities. Present realities and problems of the eight free welfare facilities of two sorts, a free home for the aged and free nursing home in Jeju Province have been studied. In Jeju Province, the average life span and the ratio of the aged people older than 65 are longer and higher than other provinces and the mentality of self-reliance is more widespread. The results are as follows : 1) The average age of the aged is 70 or older and more facilities are located in rural districts. 2) Some facilities are located in the places where are not adequate for life of the aged, and not even suitable as welfare facilities for the aged. 3) Housing environmental conditions of the facilities are relatively good, while indoor facilities for recreation and social life were not well equipped. 4) Life in the facilities can be assessed relatively free, while individual privacy is not well protected. 5) Major community contacting activities included home help service, participation in regional activities, opening facilities to the community.
