On July 5, 1997, environmental Protection Administration of Taiwan publicized the recycling regulation of waste home appliances that include four items, namely, television, refrigerator, washing machine, and air conditioner. It is believed that this regulation pioneers the law enforcement of waste home appliances in the world. To comply with tile policy, several contemporary waste disposal plants specialized in waste home appliances were established according to a follow-up technical specification oil the waste treatment facilities and methodology. Therefore, the traditional dismantling facilities were substituted and waste collection routes were altered as well accordingly. This study investigates the collection and recycling costs of waste home appliances in accordance with these newly established routes and facilities, respectively. Cost survey was conducted among collectors and recycling plants of waste home appliances; consequently, tire collection and recycling costs were analyzed, correspondingly. Results show that the recycling costs of waste home appliances were much higher than that of other waste items. Since the market share of recycled materials is lacking, these waste recycling plants of home appliances can only survive under the subsidy of EPA in Taiwan. Due to some arduous problems, the subsidiary system has already caused serious financial unbalance for a foundation under EPA of Taiwan, which associated with waste recycling in Taiwan.

The purpose of this study was to examine the direction and the actual state of environmental behavior of domestic enterprises. This study focused on strategies of environmental management, manufacturing process, product distribution, and waste collection of a enterprise with regard to environmental behavior. the survey was conducted on 30 enterprises, using open type questionnaires. Results of the study were as follows : 1. Enterprises recognized the importance of environmental behavior. their environmental strategies were great, but the actual behavior was poor. 2. In the manufacturing process, environmental behavior was not practised well. 3. In the product distribution and the waste collection phase, they made little efforts for the environmental preservation.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the factors influencing the entrapment of primary caregivers of cancer patients. Methods: From 6 general hospitals, 146 primary caregivers of cancer patients who were receiving home healthcare nursing service were selected for the study. Regarding data collection, structured questionnaires were distributed to the caregivers for data collection. T-test, ANOVA and hierarchical regression were used for data analysis. Results: The significantly influential factors on their entrapment were caregiving time, taking turms to look after the patient, disease duration, home healthcare nursing period, quality of relationship, perceived health status, and social support. And the explanatory power was 55.1% Conclusion: To reduce primary caregivers' entrapment, it is necessary to perform comprehensive and continuous nursing intervention, and to develop a standardized home healthcare nursing intervention program, and to come up with a system for using resources available in local communities.

In this paper, we propose a small waste appliance collection system that can be used for efficient waste appliance collection, and implement an unmanned automatic small waste appliance collector system. First, we collected cases related to the collection of waste home appliances, compared and analyzed methods, and arranged the characteristics. We analyzed at the requirements for the collection and management system of waste appliances by dividing it into the aspect of the discharger and the recycling business company. The collection system consists of a client-server structure, which is a collector system and a collection management server. The unmanned automatic collector system is divided into a control unit and a machine/mechanical unit. We identified the functions that the collector system must perform and the hardware required to perform these functions. Based on this, the collector system was implemented as an embedded system. The hardware and software used in the implementation are described and the implementation results are described. The collection system developed in this paper will contribute to the development of urban mining industry by enabling the efficient collection of waste appliances.

In diabetics, daily blood glucose testing is generally required at home, and thus, performing blood collection several times a day using a blood line is essential. Blood collection in the home and in the hospital is a source of pain and is the second most common cause of infection. In blood collecting device generally consists of four major parts: inner-case, outer case, main shaft and triger, and the most import part among those for necessary functionality is the main shaft. Filling time and injection pressure, filling balance, strain-rate analysis of change based on availability of the product. The Moldflow of FEM simulation is used for the analysis of injection molding process. In this study, aims to create a technique for injection molding and manufacturing of a main shaft of a high-performance blood-collecting apparatus capable of automatically extracting a lancet to relieve pain through depth control of the lancet.

When the electrical appliances such as TVs and refrigerators become obsolete, they must be collected to the recycling centers to avoid environmental damages. The obsolete home appliances are first moved to the regional collection point; and then transported to one of the recycling centers. Each recycling center has a limited capacity; and some recycling centers can process only certain types of products. For given locations of the existing collection points and recycling centers, optimally assigning the obsolete home appliances of each type from each collection point to the recycling centers can significantly reduce the total transportation cost. We formulate this problem as an LP problem. We also present an approach to determine the locations of additional recycling centers in order to alleviate the over-utilization of the current recycling centers.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the roles of child group home directors and their experiences with children. The study utilised the interpretive science paradigm and individual in-depth interviews for data collection. The qualitative theme analysis method explored the experiences of child group home directors. The participants, seven group home directors in the metropolitan area of Seoul, explained their multiple roles such as protector, nurturer, discipliner, mediator, and supporter of children while recognizing dysfunctions of children's family of origin. Participants claimed that the specialization of the child group home and the professionalism of its staffs were needed in order to improve the quality of child welfare. The results of this study might contribute to practical suggestions for group home professionals.

Purpose: This study investigated the factors affecting the quality of life (QOL) of the primary caregivers of home health care patients. Method: The subjects were 110 primary caregivers of patients who were receiving home health care from two home health care centers affiliated with general hospitals in Seoul. Data collection was conducted using five questionnaires. Results: Positive relationships were evident between QOL and social support and perceived health status of the primary caregiver. Negative relationships were evident between QOL and burden and depression. Multiple linear regression analysis for QOL revealed that the most powerful influencing factor was social support. Social support, burden, and depression explained 34.3% of the variance. Conclusion: Burden, depression, and social support are related with QOL of primary caregivers of home health care patients. Nursing intervention strategies directed at this caregiver population are needed.
