We have investigated the cytotoxic potential of tellurium (Te) nanowires in BALB/3T3 fibroblast cells. Te nanowires were synthesized through an aqueous phase surfactant assisted method. Toxicological experiments, such as analysis of morphological changes, MTT assay, DAPI staining, and estimation of intracellular reactive oxygen species, were carried out to reveal the cytotoxic effects of Te nanowires. Te nanowires were found to be cytotoxic at all concentrations tested, in a dose-dependent manner. The UV/Vis spectra of Te nanowires suspended in a culture medium showed drastic changes and disappearance of two broad absorption peaks. The physicochemical properties such as, surface charge, size, and shape of Te nanowires were found to be altered during exposure of cells, due to the instability and agglomeration of nanowires in the culture medium. These results suggest that the chemical components of the DMEM medium significantly affect the stability of Te nanowires. In addition, TEM images revealed that necrosis was the basic pattern of cell death, which might stem from the formation of toxic moieties of tellurium, released from nanowire structures, in the bioenvironment. These observations thus suggest that Te nanomaterials may pose potential risks to environmental and human health.

Purpose - The goal of this study is to extensively grasp the latest status of domestic home shopping and to propose useful information on the direction of development for the somewhat stagnant this market. This study investigates the relationship between purchasing media and demographic factors such as average monthly income, age and occupation. Categories of purchasing media under consideration are cell phones, tablet PCs, PCs/notebooks, phone calls and TV directly. Research design, data, and methodology -The survey was conducted in 2021 on a total of 4,537 integrated panel households including 3,510 households and 191,027 newly constructed in 2019 and about 10,800 household members aged 6 years or older in the household. The independence test and correspondence analysis as statistical tools are exploited to detect the relationship between the underlying factors. Result - It can be demonstrated that all demographic variables considered are related to the purchase media of home shopping. In particular, cell phones among purchasing media are closely associated with 2 million - 5 million won, teenagers, 20s, 40s, professionals, office workers, managers and soldiers. Conclusion - It is necessary to establish a new management strategy and related policies in order to overcome the current stagnation and ensure the continued growth of this industry.

In OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) system that frequency reuse factor is 1, as the same channels in the neighborhood cells creates inter-cell co-channel interference which provides a resource underutilization problem, channel allocation schemes to minimize inter-cell interference have been studied. This paper proposes a new CNIR (Carrier to Noise and Interference Ratio)-based distributed Inter-cell DCA (Dynamic Channel Allocation) algorithm in the OFDMA environment with frequency reuse factor of 1. When a channel allocation is requested, if there is not a free channel in home cell or the available free channels in home cell do not satisfy a required threshold value, the proposed Inter-cell DCA algorithm finds CNIR values of available free channels in the neighborhood cells and then allocates a free channel with maximum CNIR value. Through the simulation results, we find that the proposed scheme decreases both new call block rate and forced termination rate due to new call generation at the same time because it increases channel allocation probability.

With the progress of portable appliances such as cell phone and handhold PC, the popularization of Personal Area Network (PAN) and the diversification of services that are based on Personal Mobile Gateway (PMG) . To use home services at any time regardless of their Position, it needs a virtual home network that a home network and outside networks are finally integrated. Although interoperability among home appliances reached their service stage, research for services and middleware for new small scale network such as PAN is at an early stage. Traditional home network service/connection methods, terminal control schemes, and middlewares must be extended to accommodate PMG-based PAM. In this paper, we propose an integrated virtual home network Platform that guarantees seamless connections between home network and PAM. We also analyze indispensable functions and presents functions that should be added existent home gateway or home sewer by function.

급격한 이동통신 기술의 발전에 힘입어 음영지역 해소 및 고속 데이터 처리를 위해 댁내 기지국에 대한 개발 및 연구가 진행 중이다. 댁내 기지국은 크게 음영지역 해소를 위한 Open 방식의 기지국과 고속 데이터 처리를 위해 특정 가입자만 사용할 수 있는 Close 방식이 있다. 상기 방식들은 망의 특성에 맞게 이를 제공하는 망 사업자에 의해 선택 된다. 댁내 기지국을 관리하기 위해서는 많은 시간과 인력자원이 소요되므로 자동으로 설정 및 최적화시키는 기능이 요구 시 되고 있으며, 이를 3GPP에서 SON (Self Organizing Optimizing Networks) 이라 일컫고 연구진행 중이다. 본 논문은 댁내 기지국 관리를 위해 셀의 기본 인자인 PCI(Physical Layer Identity) 할당 방안과 댁내 기지국간 간섭을 최소화 시키기 위한 Adaptive Coverage 방안을 제시한다. 또한 계층적 셀 구성(Hierarchical Cell Structure)에 따른 이동성 제공 방안을 제시한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of warning labels of consumption goods on consumer behavior and the consumers' evaluation in order to suggest a policy of warning labels and the Product Liability Law. The following items which are somewhat risky but are used in everyday the were selected: cup noodles, one-touch can foods, washing machine, microwave range, dry cell, hydro-oxygen detergent, baby-walker, and block-toys. Data were collected from 345 respondents by internet survey with the following results. (1) The average score of the effects of warning labels on consumer behavior was so low that warning labels are not considered effective, especially in block-toys, dry cell, and baby-walker. (2) Consumers' evaluation scores on the character size, design and sticking place of warning labels were very low. Therefore an effort to make warning labels more effective is needed.

We introduce Location PDA Program which is a mobile system to display current location on PDA. The current location is calculated based on collecting location through each fixed node. Each fixed node sends location information of mobile node to Cell Manager system. And then, Cell Manager calculates final location based on related information and sends it to every mobile system which is connected to server and displays current location.

The effects of the garlic preparation on the response of normal and cancer-stricken mice were studied. Food consumption of skin cancer-stricken group decrease more rapidly than that of normal group as cancer of skin develops, but here was no observable change in garlic groups. The rate of weight of increase was the highest in skin cancer-stricken group whereas that of garlic groups was reduced. The feed efficiency ratio was found to be very high in the normal group, whereas that in other goups after inculation of cancer cell was lower. The total protein content of serum was the highest in skin cancer-stricken group was observed to have more conspicuous tumor than other groups, the simultaneous administration of experimental diet and but inoculation of cancer cell produced more severe tumours. It appears that the garlic may exhibit the tendency to reduce the propagation of skin cancer of mice.

A PEMFC(proton exchange membrane fuel cell) is a good candidate for residential power generation to be cope with the shortage of fossil fuel and green house gas emission. The attractive benefit of the PEMFC is to produce electric power as well as hot water for home usage. Typically, thermal management of vehicular PEMFC is to reject the heat from the PEMFC to the ambient air. Different from that, the thermal management of PEMFC for RPG is to utilize the heat of PEMFC so that the PEMFC can be operated at its optimal efficiency. In this study, dynamic thermal management system is modeled to understand the response of the thermal management system during dynamic operation. The thermal management system of PEMFC for RPGFC is composed of two cooling circuits, one for controling the fuel cell temperature and the other for heating up the water for home usage. Dynamic responses and operating strategies of the PEMFC system are investigated during load changes.

In the recent, the communication market increased every year. Because of the user's demands and exhaustion of wireless resource, we needs a new technology of the communication system. The femtocell is one of the new technology of the communication system. 'Femto' means very small. By using the femtocell that made up the very small cell, the frequency efficiency increase. The femtocell has different cell environments. In the paper, we look around the femtocell system model, the femtocell system technology and simulation result of system performance.
