Holographic image encryption and decoding scheme (홀로그래픽 영상 암호화 및 디코딩 기법)

  • This paper presents a new security verification technique based on an image encryption by a white noise image that serves as an encryption key. In the proposed method that resembles holographic process, the encryption process is executed digitally using FFT routine which gives chances for separating corruptive noise from reconstructed primary image The encoded image thus obtained is regarded as an nterference pattern caused by two lightwaves transmitted through the primary image and the white noise image. The decoding process is executed optically and in real-tiem fashion where lightwave transmitted through the white noise image illuminates the encrypted card.

  • Holographic diffuser(HD) layer was demonstrated to be located inside LC cell for a transmissive LCD of TFT-array on Color Filter structure. Master pattern of this layer was generated by holographic method and this pattern was replicated by the stamping of the master pattern on UV resin. Combined with a compensation film, TN-mode LCD with this layer showed improved viewing angle characteristics, especially along the up-down direction.

  • Recent developments in a new method of holographic computer-aided imaging will be reviewed. Our hologram is computed from angular viewpoints of the observed 3D scene. The recorded data are processed to yield a 2D computer-generated hologram. When this hologram is illuminated properly, a 3D image of the scene is reconstructed.

  • This study is focused on proposing a creative system that can display 3D hologram on the real-time basis. This method applies 3D display on volume hologram based on CGH. The process of implementing the system consists of two stages of fringe pattern recording for passive component that includes information on hologram, and irradiating object beam. Distinguished from an existing electronic holographic display system, this system is free from the process of a huge calculation that is necessary to compose CGH for a real-time 3D display.

  • 홀로그래픽 데이터 저장 장치(holographic data storage)는 1960년대에 이미 아이디어가 출현하였고, 1990년대에 들어서 SLM(spatial light modulator)과 CCD(charge coupled device) 등 관련 기술의 발달과 함께 향후 늘어날 대용량 저장 장치 시장에 대한 전망 등에 힘입어 주목받기 시작하였다. 홀로그래픽 데이터 저장 장치의 중요한 장점은 대용량의 정보를 고속으로 처리할 수 있고, 특히 페이지 단위로는 병렬 접근이 가능하다는 것인데, 이를 위해서 반드시 해결되어야 할 것이 픽셀 매치(pixel-match)이다.   • In this paper, DFE with feedforward section(FDFE) is used to mitigate ISI and improve BER generated in the course of storage and retrieval of high-density 2-dimensional data in digital holographic memory system. From the result of experiment, BER performance of DFE with feedforward section is improved about 37% than binary-decision course by direct thresholding.

  • Holography provides a medium for creative visual experiences in space and scale. It has been firmly established as a tool for scientific and engineering studies. It could be creatively used in interior architecture and display as a practical device and as a form of art. Basic principles and features of holography are explained. Design of the holographic systems are illustrated in some interior architectural applications. It is believed that holographic elements can make a valuable contribution to interior architecture design by controlling light and creating new concepts of colour and space.

  • We describe a volume holographic associative memory using photorefractive material and conventional planar mirror. Multiple hologram is generated with two angular multiplexed writing beams and Fourier transformed object beam in Ba Ti O3 crystal at 0.6328 um. Complete image can be recalled successfully by partial input of the original stored image without any additional thresholding and optical feedback process. It is proved that our system is useful for optical implementation of real-time associative memory and location addressable memory.
