The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the screen size of smart devices on the bending angle of the cervical spine. The subjects of this study were 30 healthy adults(15 men and 15 women) who used smartphones and tablet PC(personal computer). The changes in the bending angle of the upper and lower cervical spine were measured in the subjects after they had used a smartphone and a tablet PC for 300 seconds each. To make sure that all subjects began in the same starting position, an angle-measuring instrument was used to set the angles of the ankle, knee, hip, and arm joints to 90 degree. The subjects were asked to keep the trunk straight. They were asked to hold a smartphone in their hand and to bend their neck so that they could look down at the screen. Once they began using the smartphone in this manner, they were free to change their posture. We used a paired t-test to compare the bending angle of the cervical spine on subjects who used smartphones and tablet PC in the long-term and short-term there production error of cervical and the significance level was cervical. The results showed that, when using a smartphone and a tablet PC for 300 seconds, there was no significant difference in the bending angle of the upper cervical spine(p>.05), although there was a significant difference in the bending angle of the lower cervical spine(p<.05).

This study was conducted to investigate the actual state of utilization of Korean traditional foods by Korean Americans residing in L.A. area and to provide come policies, to improve their attitudes for Korean traditional foods. The proper period preparing traditional foods was the occasion of family events(47.0% )and Korean festivals(40.8%). Festival foods were prepared in Sulnal( =New Year's Day), Chusok( =the Korean Thanksgiving Day), Daeborum( =the 15th of January by the lunar calendar), Dongji( =the winter solstice) and Tano( =the 5th day of the 5th by lunar month), respectively. Sixty five percent of all the respondents expressed their wish to hand down the cooking methods of traditional foods. However, only28.6% of the respondents at their twenties replied positively on this matter. To maintain and develop traditional foods abroad, it is necessary that older generations sometimes offer opportunities to meet with them to the coming korean generations to taste traditional foods and that Korean food companies establish special selling agencies abroad and export standardized traditional foods. And furthermore, if tourism corporations and cooking schools hold a food exhibition and or a food-tasting party, occasionally, in conjunction with the embassies and legations abroad, the utilization of traditional foods will increase.

The quality of Yukbo strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch.) fruit declines rapidly after harvest. Therefore, we examined the effects of nitric oxide (NO) on its respiration rate, quality, and shelf life. Strawberries were fumigated for 5 hr at 0, 50, 100, 200, or $500\;{\mu}L/L$ NO atmosphers, followed by a hold at $18^{\circ}C$ in air. Treatment with NO delayed the onset of ethylene production ad reduced respiration, which at $18^{\circ}C$ resulted I a maintained quality and prolonged shelf life. The NO-treated strawberries were also firmer and had a lower incidence of disease than the untreated fruit. The effect of NO on fruit quality was dose-dependent. Strawberries that were treated with low and high concentrations of 50 and $500\;{\mu}L/L$ No, respectively, had severe disease incidence and were of poor quality. Treating with NO at a concentration of $200\;{\mu}L/L$ appeared to slow down the ripening and senescence of fruit stored at $18^{\circ}C$. Calyx browning, respiration, and rot development progressed more quickly in strawberries treated with $500\;{\mu}L/L$ NO compared to those treated with $200\;{\mu}L/L$ No.

A lot of studies of ship's economy are on the traditional fields such asreducing propulsion resistance, raising cargo handling rates and lessening building consts, but there are few researches on the merchant ship's economy concerning their deadweights and speeds according to shipping companies managerial cercumstances. Contrary to the contemporary trend that "the bigger, the better, if the cargo handling rate could increased sufficiently to hold down port time to that rate of smmaler vessels", this paper demonstrates the existence of certain limits in ship's size and speed according to the coditions of the freight rates, voyage distances, cargo handing rates, prices of fuel oil, interst rates etc. Fom the curves of criteria contour for various ship's deadweights and speeds which are depicted from the gird search method, one can get the costs and the yearly profit rates under the conditiions of large volume with long term contracts for the transportation of bulk cargoes. In estimating ship's transportation economy, the auther takes the position that the profit rate method is properer than the cost method, and introduces the calculation table of the voyage profit rate index. The use of the criteria contours will be of help to ship owners in determining the size and speed of the ship which will be built or purchased and serve in a certain trade route.

Finite element model of pressurized water reactor internals were obtained using ANSYS software package to analyze dynamic characteristics. The pressure vessel, hold-down ring, alinement key, core support barrel(CSB), upper guide structure(UGS) and fluid gap were fully modeled using structural solid element(SOLID45) and fluid element(FLUID80) which is one of element types. Also modal analysis using the above finite element model has been performed. As a result, it was found that the fundamental beam mode natural frequency of the CSB were 8.2 Hz, the shell mode one 14.5 Hz. To verify the Finite Element Analysis(FEA), we compare the analysis result with experimental data that is obtained from the plant IVMS(internal Vibration Monitoring System). The experimental results are good agreement with the FEA model.

The study investigates the impact of the Counter-Cyclical Buffer Policy (CCB) on regional development bank profitability in Sumatra, Indonesia. CCB requires banks to hold capital at times when credit is growing rapidly so that the buffer can be reduced if the financial cycle turns down or the economic and financial environment becomes substantially worse. This study employs time series data of regional development banks (RDBs) in Sumatra Island, Indonesia. The methodology applied in this study is a panel dynamic model with Generalized Methods of Moments (GMM). The results show that increasing capital through the implementation of CCB did not have a significant effect on RDBs' profitability. The findings of this study suggest that the activation and implementation of CCB lead to an increase in the amount and cost of loans to companies but do not affect the profitability of RDBs. The value of a Non-Performing Loan (NPL) proved to have a negative and significant effect on bank profitability. The CCB policy aims to overcome the pro-cyclicality of credit growth and improve bank resilience through increased capital which is expected to reduce excessive credit growth as a source of systemic risk. This causes a lack of lending to the community so that the profits obtained by the bank decrease.

This study was carried out to obtain basic information on racking resistance of shear walls and the factors affecting racking resistance of shear walls. Shear walls constructed by larch lumber nominal 50 mm × 100 mm framing and various sheathing materials were tested by applying monotonic and cyclic load functions. Shear walls with various stud spacing such as 305 mm, 406 mm, and 610 mm were tested under both of monotonic and cyclic loads and shear walls with various aspect (height-width) ratios were tested under cyclic load functions. The effect of hold-down connectors in shear walls was also tested under cyclic load functions. Racking resistance of shear walls has very close linear relation with stud spacing and width of shear walls. The ultimate racking strength of shear walls was reached at around or before the displacement of 20 mm. It was proposed in this study that the minimum racking strength and minimum width for shear wall be 500 kgf and 900 mm, respectively. Load-displacement curves obtained by racking tests under monotonic load functions can be represented by three straight line segments. Under cyclic load functions, envelope curves can be divided into three sections that can be represented by straight lines and the third section showed almost constant or decreasing slope.

In this paper, we introduce an upper extremity rehabilitation robot, NREH (NRC End-effector based Rehabilitation arm at Home). Through NREH, stroke survivors could continuously exercise their upper extremities at home. NREH allows a user to hold the handle of the end-effector of the robot arm. NREH is a end-effector-based robot that moves the arm on a two-dimensional plane, but the tilt angle can be adjusted to mimic a movement similar to that in a three-dimensional space. Depending on the tilting angle, it is possible to perform customized exercises that can adjust the difficulty for each user. The user can sit down facing the robot and perform exercises such as arm reaching. When the user sits 90 degrees sideways, the user can also exercise their arms on a plane parallel to the sagittal plane. NREH was designed to be as simple as possible considering its use at home. By applying error augmentation, the exercise effect can be increased, and assistance force or resistance force can be applied as needed. Using an encoder on two actuators and a force/torque sensor on the end-effector, NREH can continuously collect and analyze the user's movement data.

Deleuze and Guattari introduced the concept of minority groups resisting the majorit. Minority groups consist of individuals who are excluded and marginalized by the majority. They advocate for a society in which these individuals, through mutual solidarity, can escape prejudice and fixed ideologies and lead a dignified human life. In this context, through his novels featuring protagonists with disabilities, Stéphane aimed to create an ideal societal atmosphere. The characters with disabilities in the novels incessantly strive toward life goals, emphasizing the importance of the process of effort and progress, even if the ultimate goals are not achieved. The dedicated pursuit of goals and the journey toward them hold significance beyond the attainment of objectives. Such an attitude and approach toward life by minority individuals is deemed sufficient to challenge the power structures established by the majority. This narrative challenges the societal norm and power structures, which highlights the value and meaning found in the process of striving and progressing, and ultimately contributes to breaking down societal barriers and fostering a more inclusive and equitable society.

본 연구는 체조 철봉종목의 국가대표선수 2명을 대상으로 고난도 공중 비행 기술인 콜만 동작의 완성도를 높이기 위한 기술훈련 프로그램을 개발하여 8주간 적용하고 향상도를 3차원 영상분석을 통해 제시함으로써 경기력 향상에 도움을 주고자 하였다. 훈련 프로그램은 휘돌기 손 놓기, twist, 봉잡기로 구성하여 실시하였으며, 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 동작이 처음 시작되는 크게 휘돌기의 물구나무 경과 시 신체를 지면과 수직에 가깝도록 치켜세운 다음 수직하강에 가깝게 신체를 다운시켜서 깊은 추기기 운동을 수행케 하고, 고관절과 견관절의 굴신 폭을 크게 하는 추기기보다는 우선적으로 동체 회전을 중시하면서 신체중심을 충분히 끌어 올리는 봉 이탈, 그리고 비행 시 신체 각 관절의 상대각을 작게 하도록 주문하여 연습케 하였다. 그 결과 철봉의 탄성을 크게 유발하구 신체의 후방 진행속도를 증가시켜서 휘돌기의 구심력을 증가시키면서 높은 위치에서 봉을 이탈하였으며, 비행 시 신체를 빠르게 지면과 수직이 되도록 세울 수 있게 되어 여유로운 공중회전과 비틀기 운동을 수행할 수 있었다. 또한 상승할 때 손 놓는 타이밍을 맞추는데 특별히 신경 쓰지 않더라도 비행방향의 조절을 용이하게 할 수 있어서 봉잡기 시 철봉과 적정한 거리를 유지함과 동시에 충분한 동체의 회전과 비틀기 거리를 확보할 수 있었다.
